Can I join in with the depressed wallowing?! We threw a baby shower for the lady that is about to go on maternity leave and I've come home feeling weepy and jealous. It's ridiculous I know and because this lady is so lovely, and only 2 years older than me, I feel guilty for feeling like this .

Can someone give me a slap and pass the vodka/wine/methylated spirits!

Got a dance lesson this morning (taking not teaching) so hoping a bit of Paso Doble will sort me out! Feeling better though - DH was an angel, let me have my little sob and told me I wasn't right to feel stupid or guilty.

Hmm, quiet day again then?! Hi Wakarimsen, I'm not up to speed on doing stats yet but I'm sure someone will be along later to do them.

I've just re-read my earlier post and realise how confusing it sounds! What I meant to say was that DH told me I shouldn't feel stupid for being upset and certainly not guilty for being jealous. You'd think I'd have a better grasp of the English language after almost-29 years on the planet!

Thanks for your words re the jealousy, I guess I just have to accept that things like this will happen more and more. I know 4 ladies that are due to give birth between end of May and end of July, so the feelings may resurface soon! Thankfully of the 4 one is an aquaintance who i see very rarely, 2 are wives of DHs friends who we only see every few months and the other is my colleague.

Ho hum, hope all is well with you and your pregnancy.

Cavemum sorry for 'lurking' about rather than responding in this thread. If I had a pence of each time I felt guilt -- I'd be a rich woman right now. I feel guilty about everything as a result of my frazzled state related to my own hopes of becoming pregnant... so agree with your DH it's totally ok to be jealous and there's no need for guilt at being jealous.

Have been quiet lately because I am exhausted from my temping my current cycle - Days 12 - 20 have been just crazy with no clue to anything. Now it's onward to AF that comes next weekend... and still there's the hope that miraculously something happens... SIGH!

womanly don't worry! I'm not admonishing anyone for not posting!

I'm just lurking a lot this weekend as I'm a course-widow again - DH has been shut away in the spare room working on a presentation that he is due to give tomorrow.
Add to this it's my birthday on Tuesday and he's had to say that he will get me my pressie next weekend as he just doesn't have time to go out at the moment! I'm not bothered, I'm not a big birthday person and I understand he is mega busy atm.
His hard work is paying off though, he did an essay a few weeks ago and got his marks back on Thursday - he got an A- which was the highest mark of any of the 70 people on the course [proud emotcion]!

Right, got to go and start on lunch, he's leaving to go back to his course base in a few hours .

cavemum i am still here Had a mega busy weekend. Had teaching all day sat, friends birthday night out on sat night, and i drove......so no alcohol for me, but had to teach at 10am this morning. See being a dance teacher has its downfall, no sunday lie in for me. I then had to go to my cousins surprise baby shower today.....was feeling pretty anxious about it, but actually had a really good time, i am just still very relieved that long cycle has ended.

How are you feeling now? Don't worry...we all get teary....and it is still very early days for us.

halo how are you? How far gone are you now? starting to show?

I am good, still got head cold, sinus is very bad, but the perk to this is, i have the worlds huskiest voice and i LOVE it....i don't want it to go.....i sound like a sexy jazz singer or something!!!

Just watching Pineapple Dance Studios and thinking to myself "Hmmm, I used to think I was a half-decent dancer, but watching these guys I feel a bit poo!"

Hope all the dance classes are going well? Do you coach for competitons as well as the classes and exams? I've never competed and don't really feel like I'd want to at the moment, but my teacher and her school have an amazing record at Blackpool!

Feeling much better today thanks. DH has promised to spoil me next weekend as his course will be over - he even promised to do all the cooking!

CD30 BFN no sign of AF. Of list of things I wanted to happen on Friday nothing happened (viewing went badly on our house, have decided not to sell; still no parliamentary decisions; DH found out he didn't get the job he wanted; BFN). Feeling fine though - they were all long shots anyway

Hey all - very quiet...

little bit of a me, me, me...

We had a (lovely but) dull weekend. Teaching Sat and Sun am, clothes shopping Sat pm and Sunday pm started reading my new book (I am a geek, and love this one sane fact about myself!)

ANOTHER friend has announced baby no. 2. Feeling very sorry for myself - despite knowing what she has been through, trying a while etc. It is such a conflicting emotion - being happy and jealous.

Going to do a test tonight (no chance of BFP, drier than a nun!) then going to do a bottle of wine. Today is the start of weekly tests, until AF's arrival, as GP said to be "wary" could still get pg whilst waiting for things to settle (wary love? this is the best case scenario!)

Sorry to everyone who's had a visit from AF, other than Pinkie. You deserve a medal for not losing the plot !

With AF not being able to decide if she's 28days or not again, I had been speaking to a friend about it. I contemplated temping, but I can be so obsessive about things, I would be a crazy baby lady 24/7, which would literally drive me and DH mad.

Have been speaking to a friend about using CBFM and she said she used one when she had irregular periods to help monitor was or was not happening. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?!?

I'm very tempted and have been looking on e-bay. They seem to be going for between £50-£60....

I now have the dubious pleasure of being into tripe figures with my CDs, woo. Doctor AGAIN tomorrow, and hopefully the results of last week's bloods will be ready. I wonder what the findings will be...

Hey everyone, been a bit crazy round here recently. DP's been having panic attacks, I spent yesterday with a killer migraine. No news with TTC though, due to ovulate sometime this week, in theory at least!

Finally got my back pain referral though and am seeing a specialist on the 1st of June. Such a relief!

Oneof8 Sympathising with you today - have just been to visit my friend and her 4 day old baby - so cute and I am over the moon for her but I felt jealous and a little bit sad that it wasn't me And now I feel worse cus I feel guilty for thinking that about my friend
And I'm also sick of people telling me not to worry about it and that it'll happen when it's the right time!! Grrrr . . . this clearly is coming from people who a) have not yet attempted ttc or b) got pregnant merely by looking at the opposite sex!!

Sorry am in a huffy mood today, dunno why either am usually quite upbeat the week after AF but just not feeling it this month - think I am officially fed-up with the whole debacle.
