A new thread! This is for anyone who is trying to conceive their first child - anyone welcome!

The current stats list is shown below, UCL means usual cycle length, and CD is cycle day.

In theory the person who starts the thread gets a BFP before the end, but I'll just be happy to get AF turn up again!

Sorry to hear that Aries x.

I really hope it's just too early for a + kkas

A warm welcome to florin and SaorAlba

Hello to everyone else I may be a little quiet for a while, we have a very busy work load over the next few weeks, and are also hoping to get away for a short break at some point this month. I'll pop in when I can, but just thought I'd let you know that I haven't fallen off the face of the earth. Take care all, and happy shagging!!!

luckyseven · 06/05/2010 14:39

mrswaj send your address quick as you can start the cbfm up to cycle day six so you could do it this month if halo can post it tomorrow!

hairytriangle · 06/05/2010 15:54

I'm a bit weepy this afternoon...
Doc referred me to hospital

POAS positive
Thurs last week HSG was 24
Tues this week it was 64
This is a very slow rise

Have had physical examination, all seems fine, cervix is closed

Have had another blood test, to see if it's risen any more.

too early for a scan, HSG needs to be 1000 to be able to see anything worth seeing.

OneOf8 · 06/05/2010 16:18

Thinking of you Hairy x Really hope it turns out ok. Nothing useful to say ... hopefully someone will come along with better than

CaveMum · 06/05/2010 16:35

hairytriangle I'm keeping everything possible crossed for you.
Feeling weepy is totally understandable, lesser women (myself included) would have crumpled under the stress of what you have so far endured in such a dignified manner.

hairytriangle · 06/05/2010 17:23

Bless you Cavemum and thank you Oneof8

The fact is that a year ago I was in a far, far worse situation, as my ex who i was with then had completely talked me out of having kids.

So I am just privelidged to be in this position, in a way....

Ariesgirl · 06/05/2010 17:42

Hugs to you Hairyone. Keeping everything crossed.

Hermya321 · 06/05/2010 19:23

Hairy I'm assuming that you've had help for your pregnancy, how far along are you? I'll be praying that you have a very very sticky stubborn LO.

maamalady · 06/05/2010 19:41

Congratulations, haloflo!

And keeping everything crossed for you, hairytriangle.

Unsurprisingly, no change here

going to go and cuddle up , we've had a good cry.

Hope to bounce back here soon

Ariesgirl · 06/05/2010 19:50

Very, very sorry .

Hermya321 · 06/05/2010 19:55

Oh I'm so so sorry Hairytriangle.

haloflo · 06/05/2010 20:51

hairy really sorry to hear that after the hope you were given yesterday.

Mrswaj Send your address tonight & I'll definatly put the CBFM in the post tomorrow. You should get it for saturday as i'll send it first class. Hopefully the post will arrive early as when you set it to your day it opens a 6 hour testing window. 3 hours before, 3 after. With your hours you'll have to think of when is best to turn it on. I've properly not explained that very well. In fact lucky if you still have what you emailed me in your sent items could you send it to Mrswaj? It was really helpful and clear when I was trying to work the CBFM out. (I hope thats not cheeky of me!) If you don't get it for then you can always keep in til the next cycle. I probably would have SWI'ed on the days I did last month anyway so maybes it just being in your house helps!

Brillant news about DP's job too. Things are definatly looking up for you.

flick I'm going nowhere quite yet and I'll definaty keep lurking in the future. I really hope things happen fast for you in July and you aren't too far behind me.

kkas Sorry about your BFN. I hope AF is stays away a few more days for you and you still get there.

aires Sorry about AF. I hope you feel better in a few days.

felicityFlick · 07/05/2010 02:16

So sorry HairyT - I'm so pleased that you continue to be able to back positives from what's happened though. Your attitude is inspirational, like kaloki said the other day.

Glad you are not going anywhere flo

womanlytales · 07/05/2010 08:44

Terribly sorry Hairy - I too am inspired by your attitude.

LankyLegs · 07/05/2010 08:59

Just wanted to add my sorry hairy . Hope you rest up and can start to look to the future and next steps soon. The only way is up right?

applecharlotte · 07/05/2010 09:16

Congrats to all the BFP people! Great news. Hope everyone else is well also. AF got me today feel so sad about it but going on holiday on monday so looking forward to a cocktail on the beach which is some consolation I suppose...

Could a kind person please stick me as CD1 for today pls ta

kkas · 07/05/2010 09:26

kkas · 07/05/2010 10:28

WhiteRoses · 07/05/2010 15:08

Hi everyone,

Hairy, Aries and Kkas - just wanted to say I'm sorry for you all.

Hairy - one little silver lining (if there is such a thing) is that this is proof that you can conceive fairly easily, so fingers crossed for the next time. They say after a miscarriage, because your body's already geared up for pregnancy, it can be easier to conceive again. Hoping that's true. x

Aries - I hope you have a lovely weekend, and DH knows to spoil you with plenty of wine and chocolate. x

Kkas - don't let the double figures get you down (if you can help it). Just think, as far as the doctors are concerned, you're not even worth testing yet, so there's nothing to suggest that there's anything wrong. And statistics are in your favour more than ever now. On cycle 10, there's now an 84% chance you'll conceive in the next two months! So, like Aries, I hope you manage to have a nice relaxing weekend, taking advantage of alcohol while you still can! x

And another happy thought... When you get your BFP, they class your first day of pregnancy as the first day of your last period (mad I know!). But that means, if you want to be really silly (like me!) you can think of this as potentially "PD1" (pregnancy day 1) as opposed to CD1. Something to celebrate!

Feel better soon. It will happen. xxx

PinkiePoo · 07/05/2010 15:55

Hairy big fat hugs sending your way....i really feel for you honey, but it will happen soon for you both. Don't hold back the tears, let it all out and start all over again. x x

aries and kk sorry to hear it sweeties....and kk its so so natural to feel how you are, i swear i do everytime. Don't panic, i know loads of people it took just over a year.

as for me...stopped being sick, YAY. Full on head cold, BOO. and today ladies......DRUM ROLL......

My AF arrived.....WAHOO. I have never been so happy to see it after 64 FRIGGING days, so CD 1 for me today, and now i can back to SWI instead of just shagging!!

takethatlady · 07/05/2010 16:08

Hairy, Aries and kkas, just to reiterate what people have already said. Big hugs. Hairy, I hope that whatever happens as I ttc I can deal with it with as much grace as you. You're going to make a brilliant mum, I can tell.

All kinds of stuff is out of my control at the mo: I was kind of hoping today I'd get a BFP, DH would get a job he's applied for, we'd get an offer on our house and actually be able to move to where I'll be working from September, the Lib Dems would get 350 seats and shock everyone, and my mum would ring and say she couldn't come this weekend after all . So far, zero wishes out of five!!

takethatlady · 07/05/2010 16:09

PS. pinkie, you did amazing getting to 64 days without totally freaking out! Yippee for AF - she's not always so bad!
