x post whiteroses that's so lovely i promise i will POAS on saturday if AF not here by then!

hairytriangle · 05/05/2010 14:20

PMSL at POAS- (I'm a bit slow on the uptake!) chuckle.

OneOf8 · 05/05/2010 15:08

Glad to see everyone is well

Aries & Kkas ... will be checking far more regularly!

Nothing interesting to say except I was right that this cycle is to be a long one. At least I have a plan now - wait and see till September and then go back to GP's... know its not much of a plan, but does reduce the pissed off feeling stress with the lack of text book body workings.

MrsWajs · 05/05/2010 15:50

So much for lurking, I'm back already!
Just wanted to let everyone know that DP finally got a new (full-time) job today!! Sooo bloody happy/relieved!! And also wanted to say thanks to everyone for being so supportive through-out my crappy patch, don't think I've been much fun the last few weeks, here or in RL!

Might as well have a wee catch up whilst I'm here!

Hello to wakari and good luck for your 1st cycle. I also had 3 very 'normal' cycles and then started going a bit haywire - longest 45 days and shortest 27! I'm into my 9th cycle and still waiting for everything to calm down properly so don't get too down if it doesn't all follow a text book pattern straight away.

kkas, aries and haloflo keeping my fingers crossed for you all still! Really hoping some of your symptoms are pg related!!

Pinkie sorry you're feeling crap! It's really not great having a bug! Meant to say to you before, are you still on your other thread??

womanly not a temping expert as I've only done one month but I thought it was a temp spike that indicated ovulation? My temps on the days you mention were: days 9-14 around the 36-36.1 mark and then spiked on day 17 to 36.6, which I believe indicated ov on day 16. And it stayed up and above that temp til it dropped before AF, that's based on a 30 day cycle. Don't know if that helps you any? I know everyone is different so may mean nothing at all for you. I can also totally appreciate the getting fed up with SWI thing - my sex drive seems to go into overdrive the first week after AF is finished but by the time it comes to ov time I can't be arsed anymore!! It's horrible cus I feel like I'm doing it out of necessity rather than want and I never wanted to be going down that road but hey ho I want a baba, so them's the breaks!!

Glad you had a nice day yesterday Claire, can't beat a good bit of Italian grub!

Sorry to hear you're having a long cycle oneof8 Not sure if I missed something earlier in the thread but why you have to wait until September???

Anyway that's all from me, think AF is gonna be pretty short this month, seems to be disappearing already - bonus! Just hope I can stick to a regular 30ish days again now as I go on holiday on the 9th June and really don't wanna have AF for that!! That's if I get to go - stupid ash cloud rearing it's ugly head again!! I'm sure it's taunting me!

wakarimasen · 05/05/2010 17:22

Thanks for all the replies to my message last night. Its great to hear that other people have the same experiences so that they are kind of "normal". Will just see how things go for the next few months then may go to the doctors if its still a worry!

I am trying to remain really relaxed about this whole process! I am 30 yrs old BTW

hairytriangle · 05/05/2010 17:26

Oh my GOD!

I just had a call from the surgery. Doctors are all on a jolly - I mean - seminar.

Practice nurse says blood tests show 'pregnancy is progressing' and I need to call doctor tomorrow at 10am.

I hope this means it's progressing normally!

I am SO shocked!!!!!

claireinthecommunity · 05/05/2010 17:38

You're a spring chicken wakari, I'm an old bird at 34

Thanks Whiteroses. Lovely to hear your Mum and Dad are so much in love after 30 years of marriage, I definitely feel closer to my DH as the years go by

Things are getting exciting kkas and Aries...

Well done MrWajs!!!!!!

It's good to have little goal posts to reach OneOf8, gives us a bit of structure and the sense that we are 'in control' (even though we know we're not in this instance)

Lol at hairytriangle - we've all been there!

claireinthecommunity · 05/05/2010 17:39

OMG too hairy, wow!!!!

Keep us posted

haloflo · 05/05/2010 17:42

Hello. Sorry I can't think straight or catch up with anyone as i've just POAS and got a BFP.

Literally shaking with shock & excitement.

DP is excited but has banned me from telling anyone until i'm a little further along.

hairytriangle thats amazing! I hope things stay that way. Let us know what the docs say tomorrow.

Back soon to catch up xx

OneOf8 · 05/05/2010 17:44

Hi MrsWajs - reasons vary

  • this would be 6 months from last visit to GP.
  • Add the wait for a referral appt for limited appearances of AF will take me to almost October which is one year from stopping pill (is 3 weeks wait - asked at last appt when deciding to wait or push)
  • Not been off the pill long enough to warrant (real) concerns atm, but if there is any reason to worry, I like to know the time scales worrying is allowed to commence!

Don't feel bad for me - it's just one of those things you wish wasn't happening, and other people have been waiting a lot longer than me - I am just being submissive (right word??) that this - all the twinges then nothing etc - was what happened last time.

OneOf8 · 05/05/2010 17:49

Hairy in the time it took me to type... Woo hoo!!

Halo Woo Hoo!!!

Agree, Claire that structure is good. Feel so much better since deciding to wait and see until then - takes a load off the mind (what little mind there is left!!)

luckyseven · 05/05/2010 18:00

Did haloflo just say she got a BFP?

wooooooooo hooooooooooo - so exciting!

I am delighted for you, when you said about your temps I thought they sounded really promising!!

Ok so who wants the lucky CBFM next!!!?

hairytriangle · 05/05/2010 18:02

Haloflo CONGRATULATIONS

womanlytales · 05/05/2010 18:26

Congratulations Haloflo what wonderful news

MrsWajs Great news about dh's job

Ariesgirl · 05/05/2010 18:51

Brilliant news - many congratulations. I'm thrilled for you and am crossing every digit for you hairy that it's good news. Sounds positive.

(Phew that means less pressure on kkas and me! )

WhiteRoses · 05/05/2010 18:54

Came on cause Pixie gave a heads up on the Grads thread about Halo and I wanted to congratulate her, but I see congratulations may be in order for Hairy too? I really hope so! How frustrating having to wait till tomorrow morning!

Anyway, Halo - wonderful, wonderful news! Congratulations! I think it took me about a week to stop shaking when I got my BFP! Lol! Hope to see you on the Graduates thread soon. And you too, Hairy.

claireinthecommunity · 05/05/2010 19:00

Fabulous news Halo, congratulations!!!

cherrycobbler · 05/05/2010 19:10

just a super super quick one but OMG HALO WOW!!! So fab, fab, fab, fab. Is it sinking in yet? Clearly its all about the CBFM!!

Hairy - wow, could be fab news - have fingers crossed.

Hermya321 · 05/05/2010 19:14

Haloflo Brilliant absolutly fantabulous stupendous fantastic great news, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!! When you want to come over and say hello the grads threads is over here!!

CaveMum · 05/05/2010 19:31

Wow, I go out for a dance lesson and come back to find one BFP for halo and very very good news for hairytriangle (can't quite bring myself to call you 'hairy'!)

Congratulations to you both!

I will keep everything crossed for your appointment tomorrow ht Aries of course there is no pressure on you and kkas - though we'd love to know if Adrian is the secret to getting a BFP

Ariesgirl · 05/05/2010 19:33

Holy shit! Had forgotten all about that! Blimey. I can't name a child after Adrian Chiles, I can't! Not keen on Christine either...

zippys · 05/05/2010 19:39

Just a flying post but wanted to say huge congratulations to halo and hopefully hairy.

I will come back to my normal posting soon but just wanted to say congratulations.

ADuckCalledBill · 05/05/2010 19:40

.

Kaloki · 05/05/2010 19:44

Yay!! Haloflo that's fantastic!

I have a little bit of good news here too, not obviously on the same scale, but I'm finally being referred to a back specialist!

pipsicles · 05/05/2010 20:17

Congratulations haloflo I'm really pleased for you.

Sorry I've not been around for the last week or so - I've been finding things a little difficult and not even been lurking, so hello to any newbies out there. I've been trying to temp religiously this month and also been using OPKs, but all to no avail so far. On my UCL of 38 days, I should have ovulated last week, on last months CL of 43 days, I should have ovulated yesterday, but there is so little sign of it that I'm beginning to think I'm broken! I thought I had watery cm for a couple of days over the weekend, but further reading made me wonder if this was just arousal fluid (sorry if tmi!). I'm pretty sure last month was anovulatary as there was no temp peak, but I didn't have official BBT thermometer, so I could be wrong. Any advice?

Also, I have a hen weekend this weekend and although I'm looking forward to it in many respects, there are things I'm worried about. My friend's sister, who's organised it has baby already and is younger than me, apparantly there will be someone else there who is pregnant too, I'm just hoping I'll be able to stop the green-eyed monster from getting the better of me. The way I'm feeling right now, I don't know how I'll manage it.

To top it all off, DH is so busy with marking coursework and applying for jobs etc, that I don't feel like I can talk to him about it because I don't want to give him more stress and more things to worry about.

Sorry for being away for so long and being so self-obsessed on my first post back.

Hope everyone else is a little happier than me.
