OP posts:
ghenghismaam · 12/06/2010 07:51

Hi all flying visit before we go to the airport - day 8 so planning loads of SWI, au naturell no OPK/pre seed didn't want odd looks from the Greek security!
Love to all have a good week whatever you are hoping for xx

Diege · 12/06/2010 18:37

Hello! Just a flying visit from me too.Hectic here with guests staying and ds's 1st birthday tomorrow but wanted to say hi
CD 21 and no symptoms whatsoever other than the odd boob twinge and a few cramps...feeling very proud that I've never felt less like testing, though ask me in 3 or 4 days and it might be another story!
Love to all - back soon!

gumblossom · 13/06/2010 00:56

Hello All!
I'm still waiting for some sign of O, but so far only little bits, like partial ferning on the microscope. I can't seem to get the hang of it(the scope) so went out and bought some opk's yesterday.

While I was out I had a cuppa with a friend, (the one whose DH gave her a two month deadline to get pregnant) and she had just done a test and got bfp! I'm really happy for her as she is 40, and really wanted another baby. I would just love to be pregnant with her, but that remains to be seen! I just wish I could have regular ovulation like I used to, because it is so frustrating. I think it is probably a lesson in patience for me as I am a bit of a control freak!

Rowing are you out there? I am missing you. I really hope you are okay and will come back and visit us soon.
Ghengis, it's good to hear from you.Have a lovely holiday, and bring back a little souvenir.
Deige, well done being so calm.

Have a lovely weekend.

Italiangreyhound · 13/06/2010 01:26

Hi all Gum well done to your friend.

Lia sorry about the appointment.

Hippy hope all is well.

I know this sounds a bit insensitive but please take a look. Join the boycott www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZ2b99jxKW4&feature=related it is not really about 'us' breast feeding or not, as we have access to clean water if (please God) the baby ever becomes a reality for some of us, but for many parts of the world they have no access to clean water/money/knowledge about how to correctly make up the feeds. So do pass these on www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUe1R_eqREI&feature=related

Please

Happy weekend all

Italiangreyhound · 13/06/2010 01:48

Weird week, hubby and I were talking about adoption but this week it all went a bit pear shaped! Due to lots of stress created by all the failed fertility treatment I was very unhappy and we had a bit of a row and I realised that he was unhappy too! Suddenly, I saw our relationship in a new light, it was not all about me feeling unhappy and him fine, we were both unhappy, and I realised I could improve things a bit for him. So we had a cuddle and I started being nicer to him (yes that meant some s*x too!) I realised if this process tore us apart it would be terrible. I realised I did not want to lose him and I loved him so much. Infertility can make so much stress and the women feel it so much more (I think).

Diege · 13/06/2010 13:10

Hello . Ds's 1st birthday, so just taking a breather while he naps, before the rellies arrive!
GUM, I remember that friend of yours..congrats to her! Was her dh a little surprised do you think?
Italian I think any sort of ttc-ing,let alone facing fertility issues takes its toll on relationships, so can only imagine the stress you both must be under. Great that you're able to recognise that and address it xx
Symptom updates...getting quite bad cramps at night, but had that last month,so you're not tricking me, body! Odd that I never have these night cramps week after ov when I'm not ttc...(although maybe I just don't notice them? )

hippychick66 · 13/06/2010 16:44

Hi guys.

Feeling a bit at the moment.

Since Friday i have been having the tiniest bit of pink/red spotting. It is literally just like small specks on the tissue.(Not even every time I wipe).

But, of course it's enough to make me feel very scared.

I still have all my pregnancy symptoms and am trying desperately to focus on them but a bit of me just keeps thinking it's all going wrong again.

I do have the occasional sharp pain in my cervix as well so it's possible the specks of blood are coming from my cervix.

I am going to try to get a an appointment with my lovely GP tomorrow (she has some emergency slots) and ask her what she thinks. I'm hoping it might just be thrush again (I had that in my last pregnancy and it made me very sore up inside and caused some pink spotting).

Anyway, i'll let you all know how it's going - just need a bit of hand holding from you all at the mo!

Diege · 13/06/2010 19:28

Hippy you poor thing . It may well be thrush (I had pinkish bleeding with thrush when pregnant with dd1). The fact that you have your symptoms is very positive, and let's hope your GP can arrange an early scan to put your mind at rest. I have been where you are and it is horrible. The odds are stacked tremendously in your favour, but let's hope you can get some reassurance asap. Big un-MN-like hug > xxx

hippychick66 · 13/06/2010 21:23

thanks diege. it makes a big difference to have all you MN friends on hand. glad you had thrush in pregnancy too - IYSWIM .

Will update you asap.

Curlylox · 13/06/2010 21:39

Ah Hippy I understand your concerns, try not to fret too much (easier said than done)and please let us know how you get on ok

Diege · 13/06/2010 22:11

No probs Hippy.I've had thrush in 3 out of 4 pregnancies and bleeding with two bouts of it. Gp said it was to do with cervical cells 'brushing up the wrong way' in pregnancy,so any sort of irritation to the cervix/surrounding area causes bleeding - bit like an erosion I suppose? Best of luck seeing the GP - will be thinking of you xx

Italiangreyhound · 13/06/2010 23:48

Hippy Hope you are OK, I am sure you will be. Get to see that Doc a.s.a.p.

Diege hope all is well.

Waves to Jollster, Alba, Gum and all.

Period arrived today, no wonder I was close to divorce a few days ago! When is all this Agnus Castus and Evening Primrose going to kick in!!

gumblossom · 14/06/2010 06:34

Hippy, if it is any consolation, I too had spotting due to my cervix being irritated. Once from sex, other times, no particular reason. At least my Doc ordered a scan each time, and everything was fine.
I hope all is well.

I'm still wondering if ovulation is going to turn up.I think it may have happened yesterday, but my temp has gone up too much, so I just don't know.I'm starting to think I should buy another fertility monitor. Or maybe just stop all this"tracking" and try to relax.

Ha!Ha! Only kidding. I'd never relax without all this monitoring, it is somehow reassuring to think I can actually do something!

Well, it has been a really long time now,Rowing, please drop in and let us know you are okay...

Deige, my friends hubby was actually really happy (probably cos it gets him off the hook now and he won't have to "perform"!)
How are those cramps? When is AF due? When do you think you'll test?

Italian, it's great to hear that you and DH are communicating so well. I really hope you'll get your baby soon.

AlbaDeTamble · 14/06/2010 08:13

Hi Hippy, fingers tightly crossed for you that the spotting is just thrush and that your lovely GP gets your reassurance scan booked in. I gather sometimes better to wait till 7 wks as much more chance of heartbeat by then, though it sounds like your GP is fab and will know exactly what's best.

Rainbow I do hope those lines still getting darker. When's your first scan?

Diege, Jollster, Lia, when's POAS day? Hoping you'll all be joining this whole new set of worries, and that your missed appointment won't matter, Lia. That must have been soooo frustrating for you

Gum, completely with you on being in control, though I found OPKs didn't always work, never remembered temps first thing and what on earth is your microscope for?? I thoroughly recommend the going off on holiday and forgetting the careful what to eat and what not to drink and what sports to avoid rules... And leave all the sticks etc at home. On that note, have a lovely time Ghengis!

Waves to Italian, GPS, DSL, Curly and everyone else

as for me, counting down to nuchal scan on the 25th, and trying to hide my little pot belly (mostly due to eating eating and more eating with the excuse of trying to keep nausea at bay)

Diege · 14/06/2010 09:42

Morning Hippy Hope you managed some rest last night and get some reassuranaces from the GP today. The fact that the bleeding is on and off, and not getting heavy, does sound more typical of an erosion/irritation to the cervix than anything sinister.
Alba wow your pregnancy is going fast (though I'm sure you don't think so!)Good luck for the nuchal. I had one with dd3, though not with ds (dc 4) and not sure I would if I'm lucky enough to be in that position. Having said that, I have already made enquiries at the fetal medical centre, just to see 'what the score is' with timing, bloods etc .I feel very prepared
Italian have you noticed the supplements you're taking have made any difference at all? I get terrible menstrual migraines, and someone recommeded the primrose oil to me,though have never heard of it being effective for that.
Gumblossom I admire your commitment to the ttc cause . So is it ferning you are using microscope before? I know that it is notoriously difficult to monitor using that method (so i've heard)so all credit to you! I agree that it does help to feel that you are 'doing something constructive'.
IN terms of testing, af due Thursday/Friday, assuming I manage to stretch out to a 26 day cycle which seems to be my lot at the moment. I think I would def wait it out until the weekend before testing, though really don't feel that this is my month. At least I won't have hyperemesis on holiday, so really a win-win month for me this time if that makes sense!

Pollyanna · 14/06/2010 10:42

Hi everyone.

hippy hope everything is ok with you. I had bleeding in 4 of my successful pregnancies, so fingers crossed it is thrush (iysim) or something!

I am due to test on Saturday if I get that far. Every month I think I am pg though, so trying not to symptom spot too much. I used a fertility monitor this month for the first time which showed I had a peak on that a few days before my temp rise - not sure when the best time to swi was though.

alba your pg has gone fast (for me anyway)!

When is everyone else testing - I think a few of us are around the same time?

gum what is ferning? Is this a new method which I can add to my ever expanding list?

lia sorry you missed your appt - hope you are pg though and it wasn't necessary anyway!

Diege · 14/06/2010 10:44

Pollyanna, I'll test on Saturday too if I get that far!

rainbowdays · 14/06/2010 11:06

well at 4.5weeks nausea is here big-time. lines are continuing to get darker as they should, so it is so-far-so-good. I will continue testing until I get a scan, hopefully at 6 weeks. I can walk into the EPU at any time - they know me well!!!! But I know from experience that going too soon is not helpful.

Diege and Polly - hope you get lovely surprise results from your saturday testing.

gum - I gave up on ov testing a long time ago, it never worked for me. I do occasional temping to see if I have ov'd, but not now obviously! Hope you get your ov signs soon.

Hippy - hope the doctor is lovely and reassuring for you today.

alba - I am now joining you on the non-stop eating. Don't know how I am going to manage at work with it though .

I am determined to remain quietly optamistic this time. Things are looking good so far, and that is all I am trying to think about.

Diege · 14/06/2010 11:38

So you should be optimistic Rainbow, things are looking very good indeed for you . My sickness always starts at 4.5 weeks too - it's a killer isn't it? Really pleased for you x

hairytriangle · 14/06/2010 12:38

Rainbow

Diege how's the brace?

Hippy how did it go at the doctors?

My bleeding has lessenned to just spotting hurrah!

Latest hcg result due at 3.30 ...

hippychick66 · 14/06/2010 13:09

diege don't answer that question about your brace - I'm eating.

Well I'm afraid we have to wait a bit longer. All the emergency appointments with my doc were gone by 9.00 because a doctor was sick and they transfered the appoints over Why can't the physician heal thy self!!!

I can call in the morning and TRY to get an emergency appointment otherwise I'm stuck with thursday at 5pm.

Was feeling a bit more positive but then i just went for a wee and saw a few more spots (the most so far if i'm honest!).

I do feel uncomfortable up inside so am just hoping it's coming from my cervix. Can't really get scanned yet anyway (6 +1 today) so will just have to wait and see 1) if the GP can see any reason for the spotting and 2) if she can get me a scan for about 7 weeks.

I still have all my symptoms but i can not join in the great morning sickness debate cos i only ever get nausea - have never once been actually sick in pregnancy.

Thanks to all for your support - you are wonderful. Will up-date asap. Sorry not to name check everyone- head is mashed!!!!!

Diege · 14/06/2010 14:07

Hi Hippy that's a real pain about the GP . Really hope you can get fitted in tomorrow. Feeling uncomfortable 'inside'is a good thing iyswim...I wouldn't worry too much if spotting ebbs and flows. I;d get big gushes and then tiny spots with my thrush (out of hours gp who was brilliant said cervical bleeding sort of 'pools' so quite unpredictable. He also reassured me that green cm was normal with thrush. The poor man, but boy did he stop me worrying It did start around 7 weeks, then I had the same again in the early 20s...Just hope you can get some reassurnace asap!
Hairy good luck with the results. Sounding very hopeful there. On brace front

hairytriangle · 14/06/2010 14:16

Hippy can you go to an EPU?

liahgen66 · 14/06/2010 20:25

Oh hippy hopefully it'll turn out to be a bit of an irritated cervix or sometyhing. I have to say, I always balk a little these days about saying topeople, "oh I'm sure it's nothing" cos as we all know it's scary.

(((())) for you

Well I caved and tested today with a fr and big fat neg aaagghhhh, why do I do it to myself? every month I say the same thing...

Due either Thursday (in which case would show by now) or Sat, (in which case I can cluth at straws) Feel periody so am not hopeful now.

Oh well.

Hope everyone else due to poas is managing to hold off until it's proper time. And good luck.

randomimposter · 14/06/2010 20:44

Sorry have been AWOL from the laptop, but trying to read on my phone and desperate to get to post. First chance now.

Hippy, goes without saying that we are all thinking of you and hoping it's nowt serious; much great advice and experience already posted, so will just say thinking of you and awaiting good positive news to follow. A TOTALLY illegal MN HUG for you.... see, I just don't care me...

rainbow really positive signs, am very hopeful for you. FX all continues well.

rowing whereart thou? Drop in and let us know you're ok.

CD22 here, and only had a 24 day cycle last month (average is about 26, though 2 MMCs in the last year have sort of played havoc with averages of course). Have had some instances of increased need to pee, sore norkages, odd lower tummy pain.... BUT could all be totally imagined. Was going to wait til Sunday to POAS as Father's Day and I got a BFP last year on Father's Day too, but am very happy to go for (virtual) group POAS on Sat (in the unlikely event it comes to that... it IS a whole 5 sleeps away) So Diege and Pollyanna fancy a testing mate....?

Hi to all. Exhausting weekend away with family so early night calls for me.
