Hello world!

OP posts:
Diege · 21/05/2010 16:15

Oh Hairy you poor thing I really hope that things will resolve naturally and that you will be back ttc-ing in the very, very near future

hippychick66 · 21/05/2010 16:29

hairy you poor thing. Sending you lots of love and really hope the shot isn't needed.
xxx

gonepearshaped · 21/05/2010 18:16

Oh Hairy all that sounds horrible, you poor thing, I do think you are being incredibly calm and patient with everything you've had to deal with. I really hope this is the end of it now iyswim and that you can get back to normal very soon.

Rowing I can understand why you are trying not to get to emotional about it all, you have so many stages to go through you'd be exhausted by now if you didn't try to keep a lid on things. still think you do an amazing job it.

As for you Diege that's hilarious, so glad to know there are other people like me out there - not that I've ever knicker checked in the frozen foods aisle (not yet anyway)

Happy weekend everyone!

hairytriangle · 21/05/2010 18:19

thanks hippy and gonepearshaped. Feel pretty exhausted. but the scan did show an empty womb, so that makes mefeel better as there was never any possibility of an ongoing pregnancy, so at least everything that was hanging about has gone now and I can get back to normal!

hippychick66 · 21/05/2010 21:18

Funny to think it's already 7 days since the shag-athon. Time flies when you're TTCing!!!

Good luck to all those thinking of testing in the next week.

Hugs for Hairy, Rainbow and any others who have had a crap time lately.

Especially good luck to rowing for Monday.

I am drinking alchohol tonight -doing the whole reverse psychology on the universe thing again.

My boobs feel like they are someone elses (IYSWIM) a good sign i know but these boobs have fooled my brain before so am trying not to get excited or look ahead.

(Hippy goes off to swig more wine in an attempt to trick the universe into thinking she doesn't care) ps. I'm not drinking a whole lot - just a couple of glasses of white wine - i'm not mad enough to use a bottle of voddie to trick the universe

rowingboat · 21/05/2010 22:25

Hi all,

Hairy that sounds awful, the fainting and things. I'm so glad you are OK now and it looks as if you can finally move on.
YOu do sound relieved and have handled this all so gracefully.
Next time it will go better.

GPS has the sun reached you yet? Thank you for the compliment!

Hippy I know what you mean about the 'not caring' face, I'm still drinking coffee, although it was de-caff, organic this morning.

Deige what are you plans for the health kick (hopefully, you won't need it because you will be pg)?

Curly did AF turn up. Are you doing anything nice for the second 21st?

So it turns out we are off tomorrow morning for the transfer, me and DP and DS.
The blood test on Thursday showed a good LH surge and I had cramping last night and this morning so they are happy to transfer Barry and the others - if one or more make it through the defrost.
Getting a bit excited now. Hee hee!
ILGH oh my goodness, a girl, how lovely. It must add another level of excitement and terror (sorry I'm just thinking of what I was like ).

TFLS what's going on?

Curly hi

Gum how's the temperature. Could never get the hang of that, but it sounds a great idea.

Morning all.It is saturday morning here so it's 8 dpo! However I'm beginning to think the ovulation was a figment of my imagination. I'm also having a few symptoms which I am trying to ignore, because this has all happened before, to no avail. The biggest difference this time is the high temps.Another good high one today. But my boobs just aren't even a tiny bit tender.I get the odd feeling"twinge" now and then but no tenderness like I've had in a normal cycle in the past.
I know the body can "try" to ovulate a few times when you are BF before it actually does.So maybe it was just a trial run rather than the real thing?
I'm already getting a bit fed up with myself. And I did poas and got a bit of an evap line, but nothing substantial.I know it is way too early, but I did get a + last time at 9 dpo.

Hairy, so sorry to hear what you have been going through. I hope it is all sorted out really soon, so you can get back to ttc.

Hippy have you been symptom spotting too?

Rowing I'm getting very excited for you.

How I wish I could just have a nice big sleep until next Friday!

It's cold and rainy and we are supposed to be going to a birthday party in a park today.I don't think it'll be going ahead, the skies are heavy and grey.A bit like my mood!

AlbaDeTamble · 22/05/2010 09:19

Wow rowing transfer today, fingers crossed all defrosted fine and best of luck!

I'm 8wks tomorrow and nerves really kicking in now. Scan Thursday...

Diege · 22/05/2010 10:02

Gosh an exciitng week ahead by the sound of things
Rowing wow best of luck for today - how exciting, though understandably nervewracking I'm sure!My health plans involve really sticking to my Slimming World diet. I'm not actually overweight - I'm just over 9 stone, but am very petite and sit better at about 8 stone 3. I also need to actually take the cellophane off my new Davina dvd . And I'll be ordering some of those posh Zita West supplements as they did the trick last time!
Alba your pregnancy has flown! (though I'm sure not for you). I'm sure your scan will be fine, though I have been there and know how full of dread I was before (though felt amazing after!).
Hippy Hands off those boobs, they're mine you're grabbing Really hopeful for you - when is testing day may I ask?
Gumblossom tell us more about this 'evaporation' line - did it appear well after test time?FWIW I have only ever had evap lines when I've been pregnant, for some odd reason. Non-pregnant sticks always stayed whiter than white. I know everyone's different though!
Waiting for af here, and really tryingnot to tip over into 'could I be???' thoughts, after doing so well up to now. No real symptoms anyway, other than early waking, but then I had that last month . Duer today if based on last month, or Thursday bnased on longest cycle

rowingboat · 22/05/2010 14:39

Hi all,

Gum ooo that sounds like something, like wot Deige said, it could be a real line...

Alba thank you sweetie. How are you feeling?

Deige you are funny, I reckon taking off the cellophane constitute part of the work-out. How tall are you?
I'm 5'5 so pretty much average height-wise, but I have a big frame so 8'3 would be ridiculous for me, but between 9 and 10 stone is OK. However, I'm nearer 11 stone, so dropping a stone would be good for me.
It's just dieting! Awful!

So we are back! The clinic phoned this morning to say that two of the embryos had made it, so we avoided worst case scenario. We went over and I was in and out in about 40 minutes, very quick.
So Barry and Foo-foo are back on board. I'm not going to dwell on it though, just want to continue on as normally as possible.
Am slightly concerned about whether or not to do my run tomorrow, but probably will.

OP posts:
Diege · 22/05/2010 16:11

Congrats Rowing You seem remarkably calm! I think you;re right, if you feel well and rested,go for that run. So what happens from here on in? (I'm a bit ignorant about the course of events, although my sister went through IVF 3 times).
I'm 5 ft 2.5 inches,so for me early 8s pretty much right. I agree, dieting is the pits, although I have to say Slimming World does seem to suit my high carbs, low fat preferences.
Phew it is so hot out there today! Just got back from Costa Coffee with ds,on way back from Morrisons. I thought of you lot when I passed the frozen foods!

hippychick66 · 22/05/2010 16:45

diege That comment about the boobs made me laugh soooo much. You are very funny.

Day 21 for me here - cycles vary from 21 shortest to about 24. So should know WTF is happening soon. I ovulated later this month (day 14 where as has been day 11/12 - so would expect my cycle to be at least 24 days to give any possible embie a cat in hells chance.) Not as sure as Diege that this is my month. my boobs feel less like someone elses today. Still no streaks yet (they usually arrive a day or so before AF to give me hope that I've had an inplantation only to be followed by more which eventually means AF is imiment). So I am on knicker watch and so far nothing I have seen has displeased me -

rowing OMG how exciting. 2 days earlier than scehule. And 2 defrosted safely. Personally i wouldn't go for the run but that's just cos I'm lazy .

I'm 5' 8" and weigh so much more than all of you - can't bring myself to type it but lets just say 10 stone would be fab (I was 10 stone when i first met DH but that's all gone by the wayside - pizzas, currys and other delights enjoyed on cozy nights in for 13 years!!!)

Hope you are ok hairy I hope the rumour about the post MC fertility boost rings true for you. Rainbow i know you don't need it as you mentioned before your DH only has to wink at you and your preggers. I hope you get one that sticks very very soon. You deserve it so much honey.

alba 8 weeks already, that's great. I know you wont relax until your 12 or over but please try to enjoy.

gum don't know much about evap lines (never had one) my tests have all been a defo yes or a defo "You have not won a prize". Hope your temp stays up and all is well.

Well that's me done, sorry if I missed you.

Back out to the sunshine. Isn't it wonderful.

Love to all the others who I know are lurking out there checking up on us linda italian etc you know who you are and you know we love ya!

hairytriangle · 22/05/2010 16:56

thanks everyone for your lovely thoughts and wishes you are all stars

Just wanted to say very very very good vibes, love, luck and light to Rowing - take it easy and I have everything crossed!!!

hairytriangle · 22/05/2010 16:58

Oh and Diege slimming world rocks! I too am not overweight but find it really good to get me not so flabby!

I have some Zita West supplements - my sis (who is now preggers) took them and swears by them!

x

rowingboat · 22/05/2010 17:58

Thank you guys, I have re-read what I posted and it sounds as if I am bored.
I'm not honestly, it is nice, but having had two failed IVFs I don't want to get too high or low for that matter.
I did google and apparently a day 3 embryo, like these, takes 2-3 days to implant, so it could be Monday or Tuesday if it happens.
I just have to behave normally (ideas on a postcard for that) and try to stay relaxed and reasonably active.
Is it hot where you guys are?

OP posts:
rowingboat · 22/05/2010 17:59

Just checked it is just under 25 degrees at the moment.

OP posts:
hippychick66 · 22/05/2010 19:16

rowing I wish I knew how to be normal . Good luck anyway.

hairy Oh I'd love to be able to type I'm not over weight. Might look in to the Zita vits. I currently take some pre-conception ones but can't remember the name. Seeing as Zita is currently brainwahsing me every night with her CD might as well try her vits.

I am getting a bit disheartened cos I have a belly ache. Can't really describe it - it's not like a period pain it's like a pain behind my belly button . I am assuming it means AF will arrive in a couple of days but I am prepared to be proven very wrong.

I'm a bit pink from being in the garden with the kids - will i never learn that people with pale skin don't go in the garden unless wearing an all in one balaclava!!!?

hippychick66 · 22/05/2010 19:31

Ok, I had a pair of shorts on earlier that were tight around my middle. I've changed them and the belly button pain has subsided - so could be just due to being a fat old cow and trying to wear last years shorts!

Just goes to show symptom spotting is ridiculous.

But I wont be able to stop

Diege · 22/05/2010 20:33

That's funny about the shorts Hippy .I have been having lots if cramping today, the sort where you rush to the loo 100% expecting af, but it doesn't happen. Some odd pulling pains too if I stand up suddenly. Also Hippy your my boobs are massive (well,we're talking from a AA start point , so adjust your visuals) and very itchy. I'm stupidly starting to symptom spot; the more I start to think of somthing else, the less I'm able to do so, I just know I'm going to be gutted when af turns up
Hairy I agree, SW is probably the least diet-like diet I've been on. I'm a veggie,so green days up my street, and a masisve fan of quorn too which does help on SW I think!
Rowing I think you put our feeble anxieties about the 2ww to shame . I can imagine a bit what it's like, due to sister's experience (she was successful on 3rd attempt, now has a 9 year old ds)but my god your nerves must be cut to shreds.Hoping you can chill for as long as humanly possible. Barry and Foo-Foo are in good hands!
Dds are still up waiting to hear that blasted Over the Raibbow result . Thing is, they're 6am risers, and normally in bed for 7, but they'll still wake at 6 tomorrow but be extra grumpy! My weekend of the year next sat though - anyone else a Eurovision fan?

Diege · 22/05/2010 20:35

Arghh,meant Barry and Foo-Foo !!!!

hippychick66 · 22/05/2010 21:16

Wow diege are you sure it's not you that you had the good feeling about. All your symptoms sound encouraging. Not long now til we'll know for sure. Be nice to be preggers together .

Very restrained of you to go to the loo to check if AF has arrived, i heard you just have a quick look in the supermarket .

rowing clench your knees real tight and keep those little-uns in. Good luck xx

Diege · 22/05/2010 21:55

WellHippy I very nearly did have a quick knicker check mid-way up the hill this afternoon, but thought better of it. Wearing a dress makes it a bit more difficult than with jeans. My 'symptoms' have really only just been here today, which makes me think they might actually be af-symptoms, what with af being due and all . In the words of Ivana Trump.'It is as it is' I suppose this time next week we (those of the great Shagfest of May 2010) will all know!
Dds finally in bed after Dorothy result show, and going to watch Casualty now, one of my faves(after Peep Show and Waterloo Road, in that order). See you all tommorow x

rainbowdays · 22/05/2010 23:29

Wow you lot have been chatty today,,,,,

Rowing - fantastic that Barry and foo-foo are on board. I along with everyone else here hope that they both burrow deep in the next couple of days.

Hairy - sorry to hear you have been in pain again, I hope that you dont have to have the shot and that you can finally move on now. It is so hard.

Well I am getting a little jealous of this knicker-checking and hope that is going on here with you 2ww-ers. Looks like I am having to have a solo shag fest time!!!! that doesn't sound so good. Anyway, dh being not totally cooperative with my needs but hey, I still have another day or so possibly. I will have to try the old seduction techniques tomorrow me thinks!

gum - I too only ever get evaps on my usual tests the day or so before a bfp.... so heres hoping for you, despite the early testing....!

rowingboat · 22/05/2010 23:29

Hi all,
hippy I was laughing about the shorts because I totally relate to the tight trouser pain thing.
I find it is those trousers which aren't hipsters and aren't high waisters, which kind of 'slip' down and then dig in at the same height as your lower intestine - feels like AF cramping.

Deige you floozy! I'm glad to hear you didn't knicker check with a dress on.

I have a friend whose DS always wakes up at 6am as well, whatever they do. They, very occasionally get a longer lie-in until 7:30 on a weekend or something. Not exactly a long, luxuriant lie-in for the grown-ups though: 7:30.
Thinks 'Ooo, I think I will have a lovely lie-in, until.... 7:30'

Can I just say. Haven't watched 'Over the Rainbow', but the names of the finalists are so early nineties - Danielle, Sophie and Lauren.

OP posts:
KiwiKat · 22/05/2010 23:52

Am back from a two week fammily holiday - I DON'T recommend Agadir in Morocco - and it seems like so much has happened in my absence. Hairy, sorry to hear your news. Rowing, fingers crossed for you. I'm having the scan on Monday, when I'll be 13 weeks. We decided not to tell ds (nearly 4) until we get the all-clear ...

Nice to be back.
