Come on in ladies, the bar is fully stocked with Advocaat, Bailey's and novelty Xmas drinkies and the slaves are wearing Ann Summer 'Santa's Hat' posing pouches. Have also festooned the place with plenty of festive tat and lots of v un-eco and tacky Xmas lights and shit because I know we all love getting Xmassy dead early. There's a fireplace so you can send your wish list to Santa up the chimbley, platters of wooden spoons and coconuts on the mantlepiece and 'Mulled Wine' scented candles lighting up The Pit of Despair. Make yourselves at home!

Thanks Muser, sorry about your news

ClaireDeLoon · 14/12/2009 16:00

Congrats Cosmo that's great news and well done for getting it in before the fertility clinic appointment

I have another +ve POK this afternoon so have decided to think I'm peri-menopausal now.

And I'm not even gonna admit to my tit size it's too horrendous.

Bessie123 · 14/12/2009 16:16

loonyclaire - I know 2 women who conceived when they actually WERE in peri-menopause (not hysterically neuroticising on a menkul thread) so you must keep trying...

ClaireDeLoon · 14/12/2009 17:35

Actually we were in Hamley's on Saturday (yes we're menkul, he wanted to look at the scalextric cars) and I decided I don't actually like most children anyway. What happens if you end up with one of the dislikeable ones?

I have only just noticed the when did the hats appear?

Medee · 14/12/2009 20:55

Congrats Cosmo!

Scorpette · 14/12/2009 21:05

Still dead chuffed for Cosmo (and still v for Muser). Have been in 2WOOFLing freefall this afternoon - boss passed me something v v heavy to carry and although I had to put it down after only walking about 5 feet, I got a massive menstrual-crampy feeling in me Wimbledom and then had pain and felt sick for about half an hour. Menkul part of my brain kept saying that I have now Humpty-Dumptied my potentially-fertilised egg on its way to implantation . Could've done with you all to bitchslap me and do Joey Deacon faces at me but have made myself see sense now - surely either brief and trivial muscle strain or some normal wombular activity coinciding with lifting

Am otherwise determined to be vaguely pessimistic about this (and every other) month - am a total pessimist in every other area of my life, so why hurt myself getting my hopes up so much over TTC?!

Well done for bringing yourself round scrope. You know full well that lifting something heavy will NOT impede a fertilised egg making its way to a place of implantation

you chump

Aw, fanks MamaCunty!

Is it wrong to me to be PMSL at the woman in Baby Names who wants to call her DD Tamarin? Would it be okay to suggest Capuchin instead?

Scorps I got diffed the week I moved house and believe you me, as strong as he is, jailbait did not move the furniture single-handedly!

iggypiggy · 15/12/2009 10:27

looney I don't much like children either, but am working on basis that i will like mine... my mum is the same...

scropey not to feed woofling or the like - but both times of diffedness i has had sharp pain on right hand side of wombular area - which took a while to go away - at about 6 or 7 dpo...

skihorse · 15/12/2009 10:35

Oooh that's true iggy, I had such a painful "stitch" in my left hand side - I put it down to wearing size 10 jods.

givecarrotsachance · 15/12/2009 10:46

Me too. But quite bad pain and sicky, so sounds similar.

ClaireDeLoon · 15/12/2009 10:59

Muser are you out there? Just wondering how you are.

iggypiggy · 15/12/2009 11:04

I was thinking of muser too - hope you are ok?

Muser · 15/12/2009 11:12

I'm out here. I'm doing ok. Felt very odd yesterday but feeling better today. We've told our close family so we can avoid the normal talk. And everyone has been very lovely, so we feel less isolated. Discovered one of my best friends, my mum and my m-i-l all went through the same thing.

I've stopped spotting now which is good. I just want to get back to normal and enjoy Christmas.

iggypiggy · 15/12/2009 11:29

Glad you doing ok muser - is a totally shit thing to happen - you can always ask us on here about anything as there are enough of us that have had babyfails at various stages. Do look after yourself tho.

TwinkleToes76 · 15/12/2009 11:30

Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better Muser and your friends and family are rallying around you. Have lots more hot buttered rum and a relaxing break over Christmas.

iggypiggy · 15/12/2009 11:40

OK - ginhag has asked me to pass on the news that she is diffed.

But before we all get excited - she is not v. confident and is being v. cautious about it as test sticks are remaining very faint. So I have said a cautious 'yay' and given her a violent nipple twist.

I hope she will come and post on here soon.

Scorpette · 15/12/2009 11:50

Well, I keep having stitchy/period pains on the left (as I've said before, all my wombular activity seems to only ever occur on the left). Last night it was so bad I was considering taking my period pain tabs and I also felt horribly nauseous. But today is only DPO4/5 - so surely yesterday was too early for it to be indicative of baybee-tumtum? Still a bit twinge-y and vaguely nauseous (am tormented by fact my Mum has always said she got v early symptoms, ie only a few days after SWI). Arrrgh, the hell of the 2WOOFL!

Muser am glad you're feeling more positive and have such great support around you. At the very least, what they've all told you shows you it's a sad-but-normal thing that happens. . Or should that be ?

skihorse · 15/12/2009 11:53

Scorps My stitch was above my waistband on the left hand side and occurred on the Saturday - I believe I OV'd on the Tuesday which would've put me at 4DPO.

Iggy I do hope she's fine and that she can just man up and get the biro out for the sticks.

Muser I'm so glad to hear you've found support from those nearest and dearest - that must be a teriffic relief. As iggy said, a fair few of us have had the babyfails - some of the show-offs have done it more than once.

Scorpette · 15/12/2009 11:55

I'm going to do a nekkid dance for gin, but keep my pants and socks on (of course!), just to be cautious! Looks like I was right about Xmas being a multi-differ, just like Hallowe'en And I better be one of the growing multitude

OP posts:
skihorse · 15/12/2009 12:06

I also think that VAG needs to stand at the front of the queue for her baybee. C'mere VAG, we've saved you a place, have some Primula.

Scorpette · 15/12/2009 12:14

Ski, that's made me totally with hope but also [menkul face] with hope! PS Agree that Vag deserves to win a festive foetus, but does ham-flavoured primula aid conception? Do I squirt some onto my wooden spoon or wot?

Also want Camel and Extreme and WeeWee and Poosmell to win a festive foetus... hell, I want everyone here to diff! Let's go for an Xmas bundle!
