Come on in ladies, the bar is fully stocked with Advocaat, Bailey's and novelty Xmas drinkies and the slaves are wearing Ann Summer 'Santa's Hat' posing pouches. Have also festooned the place with plenty of festive tat and lots of v un-eco and tacky Xmas lights and shit because I know we all love getting Xmassy dead early. There's a fireplace so you can send your wish list to Santa up the chimbley, platters of wooden spoons and coconuts on the mantlepiece and 'Mulled Wine' scented candles lighting up The Pit of Despair. Make yourselves at home!

I have just read this article from The Guardian yesterday and ended up sobbing. I think I'm going insane.

TwinkleToes76 · 13/12/2009 18:25

Made me blub too Muser! Do you have your second lot of blood results yet?

Muser · 13/12/2009 19:25

I do. Hormone levels have dropped. Looks like no baybee for me this time. I have to POAS on a week to confirm it. That'll be fun.

skihorse · 13/12/2009 19:33

I'm so sorry to hear that Muser.

longwee · 13/12/2009 19:55

Shit, sorry Muser. Keep us posted won't you, we're here with violence and groping when you need it. Like you said though it's good news it happened so quickly for you, so here's to another diffment pronto...

givecarrotsachance · 13/12/2009 19:59

Shit muser I'm so, so sorry . I've been lurking and hoping for you. What LW said about pronto.

scorps I dunno about the OPKs, but you mentioned the mega-SWI months and we did that, too. Something like 8 days in a row, at least once a day, until I was sure I was about 2 days post ov. Quite honestly, at the end, we'd had enough. But, you do what you have to do.

Scorpette · 13/12/2009 20:04

Oh Muser, so sorry for you Here, have a big hug - sod protocol .

In a way, our mothers had it easier regarding stuff like this - they would've just thought it was a weird period and that would be that, no clever tests or owt.

It'll happen properly for you, keep your spirits up

OP posts:
TwinkleToes76 · 13/12/2009 20:04

Sorry Muser, that's really shit news.

Muser · 13/12/2009 20:04

Thanks guys. I've had a good old sob and now I'm going out for chocolate. Given the major bleeding that I thought was my period it was an unlikely one for working out. Doesn't stop you hoping a bit though.

I'm crossing my fingers for a fast diffment as well. Doesn't miscarriage sometimes boost your fertility in a weird way?

Now, let's not mope. Hot buttered rum all round.

Scorpette · 13/12/2009 20:18

Carrots, but was it a spunky blitzkrieg that did it for you? BTW, Pok says no now, so must have been ultra fertile or massive fatigue drew things out a bit. Am hoping was latter, obvy

OP posts:
Scorpette · 13/12/2009 20:20

Hot buttered rum? [boak] Makes me glad I don't drink! Muser, if you can take anything positive out of this, it's that it can and will happen for you...

OP posts:
Muser · 13/12/2009 20:26

I'll have yours! Hot buttered rum is luvverly. Sounds odd, tastes wonderful. I also have mahoosive bars of Cadbury's Caramel and Whole Nut as well. The man in the garage looked at me like I was a nutjob. "Any petrol with that?" Nope. Just GIVE ME THE CHOCOLATE.

And that's exactly what I'm taking away from this Scorps. And I'm oddly glad that I hadn't POAS earlier, by the time I did I already knew it was a bit dodgy so was more prepared. I think I'm definitely put off early testing now.

Muser · 13/12/2009 20:32

Oh and fingers crossed that your non-stop shagging is going to work Scorps.

ClaireDeLoon · 13/12/2009 22:27

Fuck Muser I'm sorry take it easy, lots of chocolate and lots of whatever you want, even buttered rum (which I have never heard of). I'm also going to give you a hug, I have a bosom to rival Iggs even non-pregnant so snuggle down and relax.

ClaireDeLoon · 13/12/2009 22:35

SCorps re OPK I had a strange month when I was poorly once and Fertility Friend said it was anovthingy but I don't think it was, didn't get a peak OPK (though for a couple of days they looked close), temps jumped all over the place mid cycle but I still think I ov'd and got droid with a 14 day luteal phase from when I thought I'd ov'd. That's not a great deal of help really is it.

Tell you what I have noticed though - I only recently started OPK's again and I got some clearblue ones and one day I tried a clearblue and a normal 'two lines' one from the same pot of wee and I got a smiley face on the clearblue and a 'I'm not really certain that's a positive' on the normal test so I wonder if I was too being too strict on my interpretation of what a positive was on the normal test. Does that make sense or am I rambling like a wino?

Scorpette · 13/12/2009 23:08

Thanks, Claire - I think I too have been a bit too strict in my interpretations, ie if the lines aren't 100% the same colour then is it a true OV or not? I kept the tests to compare them this time around and strangely, the one from CD14 (the perfect day) shows 2 identically intense lines now (none of them have faded yet, so it's weird that one got darker), which would indicate that I was right in my hunch that I did OV that day. I know by heeding my own bodily signals that I have OVed on Thurs pm/early hours of Friday and my temps now make this clear too, so am not worried. Just hope the extra spunkaliciousness this month has done the trick

OP posts:
ClaireDeLoon · 13/12/2009 23:20

Fingers crossed Scorps - I think keeping the OPK's is a good idea and also being consistent in the brand you use is a good idea. They all do massively vary I think. Glad you think you ov'd and hope having drained TYF for a few days that you hit the mark.

Cosmosis · 14/12/2009 08:39

So, August babies, we decided they?re a good thing, right?

longwee · 14/12/2009 08:50

Does that mean you have something to tell us cossy ???!!!

Cosmosis · 14/12/2009 08:53
Grin
cheggers · 14/12/2009 08:54

waaaaahhhh - get in!!

details please

longwee · 14/12/2009 08:56

Woo-HOOOOO!!!

That is fantasiticabulous!!!

Cosmosis · 14/12/2009 08:57

Well droid was due on Friday and did not show, so manned up and poas?d yesterday. Line came up pretty much straight away. Are both in a state of shock tbh.

Boobs are bigger than normal (still tiny though!) with soreish nips, and I?ve wombular twinges, but other than that feel no different.

Sorry for not posting till today, no bloody internet at home still.

skihorse · 14/12/2009 09:18

Yaaaay for Cosmosis!! She told me on friday that her boobs were bigger and she just kept muttering about having a poor diet the last month. Following much forceful texting (i.e., like wot cunty did to me) - she manned up and it was a bfp - then the caah wouldn't let me tell anyone! I am so, so, so, so happy for our Cosmo. Btw, as you are a proper cat-lady Cosmo, can you share any info wrt the cats acting up? Enquiring BESHies need to know whether cats are accurate diffed-barometers!

CUNextTuesday · 14/12/2009 09:24

Cossie! Cossie! Cossie! Well done Bint

Can understand state of shock = me still
