Hi All,

New thread, a new beginning...

OP posts:
daisydotandgertie · 17/03/2010 14:23

Hi C1NDY - I can't believe how soon your due date is. Glad you're feeling OK still.

Yellow - thanks for that. It does feel a bit ridiculous though.

I've taken a bit of a pro-active step today and phoned for an appointment with Michael Dooley to discuss self funding IVF. He has a good reputation I think.

I am sure we'll also discuss other things, but I have little confidence in the specialist I am currently seeing - it's the no monitoring or testing my DH that's done it.

yellowflowers · 17/03/2010 14:40

where are you based daisy? I am finding the crgh good medically though they are cramped and always running late. really feel they know their stuff though.

When are you due cindy? Exciting.

And how you doing jools?

daisydotandgertie · 17/03/2010 15:01

I'm in Somerset yellow. The arse end of nowhere.

Your treatment progress sounds so exciting. Are you self funding?

yellowflowers · 17/03/2010 15:22

yes alas. too fat and too impatient for nhs. Every time they suggest a test I get stressed as it costs more. Luckily most done already by nhs consultant so the private clinic just wanted initial appt (£200), sperm test (£150), Ovarian reserve test (£300) and cost of clomid (£1.50 per tablet). Now we have the iui and scans which is rougly £800 I think. So much cheaper than ivf.

daisydotandgertie · 17/03/2010 17:54

Blimey. Is Clomid £1.50 per pill? I had no idea. I now understand why they only give them out 10 at a time.

Because I am so old, I think that IVF is going to be recommended to us. And I shudder to think how much it's going to cost. In fact, I am not just shuddering, I'm feeling slightly sick.

iggypiggy · 18/03/2010 16:48

Good luck cindy. Look forward to hearig about safe arrival and name. Great to see updated list. Girls outnumber boys 2:1. Will be thinking of you on 30th. X

daisydotandgertie · 29/03/2010 12:53

Such good luck and many best wishes C1NDY. I shall be thinking of you tomorrow.

Yellow - how's it going? What's happened with your stuffy nose?

I'm on CD33 and am 14DPO and I think I have a faint line on my HPT.

I don't believe it really can be - and I'm not going to get out the digitals until at least 16DPO. I have plenty of symptoms - sudden, unexplained horrible nausea, bone crushing tiredness at about 5pm, and other less pleasant things.

We SWI every day around ovulation - and the day after OV, I spotted a tiny bit of pink tinged CM.

I'll keep you updated - I am a bit dubious and excited at the same time.

yellowflowers · 29/03/2010 13:35

oooh daisy - cautiously optimistic for you. Good luck... Keep us informed. (I would put money that you are!)

I have stuffy nose as you may have seen from other thread. It's kind of like a cold as also a bit in my ears but not developed into a snotty green head cold as I thought it would so I googled it as I remember reading it was a symptom and apparently ten percent of women have stuffy noses as an early pregnancy symptom. But you kno, probably it is just a cold. Way too early for me to test anyhow.

x

iggypiggy · 29/03/2010 13:56

cindy good luck! Looking forward to hearing your news

daisy ooh - a cautiously excited squeal for you too! keep us updated!

yellow I hope is a symptom for you! When can you test?

yellowflowers · 29/03/2010 14:42

hi iggy. Think I can tesyt on the weekend. I think I ov'd a coupld of days late last Tues (as that is when I got ewcm) so would only be 6dpo topday though was expecting it a bit earlier so may be 8dpo. So probs is just a cold as if it was a symptom it would have appeared probably at 3dpo.

kittycatcat · 30/03/2010 08:29

Fingers crossed for you both Daisy and yellow

yellowflowers · 04/04/2010 23:49

Hello. Been feeling a bit sick and had stuffy nose so did test this am which I think is 12dpo. I think it was a faint line which came up within ten mins - very faint though but a tinge of colour too. It was an Internet cheapie. Anyway showed it to dh and he thinks I was imaginging it and he couldn't see anything. Then today all symptoms disappeared so he's probably right and it was just wishful thinking. Have one cheapie left so will do it in morning.

I have just dug it out of bin though and faint line still there. But I guess it could be evaporation line.

yellowflowers · 05/04/2010 10:04

Hmmm I think dh must have been right as did another this am and nothing...

C1NDY · 05/04/2010 17:13

Hi All!! I have given birth to a beautiful baby girl and we have named her Suri after my mother (although we know Tom Cruise daughter has the same name). Suri Francesca Lois, she weighed 7lbs 6 1/2 I am currently trying to breastfeed which is a bit of a chore but am sticking with it but it is taking most of my time. Suri likes small feeds of 10 mins at a time! Hope you are all well... I have updated the list. Iggy will look out for your post in July! Thank you to all for helping me get this precious little angel!

I will be reading all your posts and I know you will all have your little treasures soon.

Love to you all.
Cindy

oh wow - congratulations Cindy. How are you both? And what a lovely name. What day was she born?

yellowflowers · 06/04/2010 09:51

Er, my dh still thinks it is all in my head but got a boots own brand yesterday and did one last night and one this morning (period due today) and both very faint positives - as in very faint lines but tinged blue (I swear) and within a couple of minutes. Dh very keen I don't get excited and end up disappointed and clearly not letting himself believe it but, whispers, I think I have a bfp!

Obv I don't want to tempt fate and it could all go wrong but please all keep everything crossed for me.

kittycatcat · 06/04/2010 15:28

Huge congrats C1ndy. Beatiful name. So pleased for you

crossing (almost ;-)) everything for you yellow

How many days PO should i test? I am soooooooooo impatient. AF due 14th x

yellowflowers · 06/04/2010 15:29

kittycatcat · 06/04/2010 15:50
