Hi All,

New thread, a new beginning...

OP posts:
Pinkyblue123 · 20/01/2010 13:37

I meant fingers crossed for Jools and Daisy

yellowflowers · 20/01/2010 13:39

Lovely to hear from you pinkyblue. Good luck with all of it - come back and tell us all about him/her.

Still thinking of you daisy - I know it's going to be a positive. How much clomid are you on?

daisydotandgertie · 20/01/2010 14:47

I tested this morning and got a BFN.

We both thought we could see a vague pink line before the test time was up, and started to get excited but it's not on the strip now .

What I don't get about peeing in a pot is how you're supposed to get a good strong FMU when you're up in the night weeing 3 times. I don't normally get up for a wee at all.

Another irritation to add to the mix is that fertility friend has moved my ovulation day to CD21 which makes me only 10 DPO.

I'm reluctant to go with their idea because they have not the first clue of the circumstances here around the beginning of my cycle - and I haven't put in any other helpful data at all.

But my temp increased this morning, I have no sign of the blob and feel much the same as I did.

So, I suppose it's wait a bit more and pee in another pot.

yellow - I'm on 100mgs of Clomid on days 2-6.

yellowflowers · 20/01/2010 15:19

Hi - if you both thought you saw a pink line then I think you've still got a good chance (I mean we all see what we want to see right, but if you both saw it, that's a whole different kettle of fish...). Esp if peeing in night - could you test one of the times you pee in night perhaps?

Joolsiam · 20/01/2010 20:08

Good luck Daisy - will be thinking of you

All OK here, but am away on business with only limited internet access. Will lurk on phone for news and keep fingers firmly crossed ...

daisydotandgertie · 20/01/2010 21:58

Fuck. A second line has appeared on the hpt I took this evening.

It's faint, but definitely there and definitely pink. DH is the one who spotted it, I'd discarded it in a huff.

It can't be so. I'm sure it'll be another BFN in the morning.

yellowflowers · 20/01/2010 22:55

oh wow - huge huge congratulations. Test again in the morning and see what happens. Here's hoping. Woweeeeee.

tmi but I have copius ewcm - more than ever before. Do you think more mucus means more fertile than previous months?

daisydotandgertie · 20/01/2010 22:58

I think it means without a shadow of a doubt that you must get at your DH.

I do think there is a link between quantity and fertility - there has to be. EWCM is the help the swimmers need to get to their destination, so in my book, the more of it the better.

Enjoy!

iggypiggy · 21/01/2010 09:34

daisy that is good news a line is a line!

yellow I agree with daisy - grab your man!

yellowflowers · 21/01/2010 09:37

okay man grabbed two nights running so if I was ovulating yesterday at point of much ewcm then we got it (I felt possible ovulation twinge too) - let;s see if temp has sustained rise now.

daisy - did you test again this morning?

daisydotandgertie · 21/01/2010 14:16

I've tested again - and there's another line.

But fainter than last night. I think I have a problem with my night time wee strength. I saved the wee from my third wee of the night, but it was only about 2 hours worth.

I think the thing to do is wait, and let what's going to happen happen without me stressing about. I'll take another test in a few days time - Monday maybe (hahaha) - and see what it comes up with then. I'm either going to be more pg by then, or AF will have reared her ugly head.

What makes a pink line come within the time limit if it's not a baby? And at what point do you trust that pink line?

iggypiggy · 21/01/2010 14:18

A line is a line!!!!!

Is an evaporation line if it's after the 10 mins you meant to check within... but i got a draker line at 5pm than I did the next morning when I got my latest BFP... if that helps...

I feel quite hopeful for you!

daisydotandgertie · 21/01/2010 14:24

Iggy thank you.

I'm much more scared now I've actually got a BFP - it feels as though it will just slip through my fingers and disappear.

Bloody neurotic it seems.

Night time tests next I think - no more of this morning lark.

yellowflowers · 21/01/2010 14:27

Or perhaps a test this pm?

Though ignore me, I am a bad influence. So very pleased for you and hooray for clomid.
x

iggypiggy · 21/01/2010 14:28

Don't expect the line to get darker by the way... if is cheapie internet tests? They always seem to be quite faint lines...

Yay a BFP

daisydotandgertie · 21/01/2010 17:39

They are the cheapie internet tests - and it's so good to know I shouldn't expect them to get as dark as the control line. I'm 40 ffs. Why don't I know this already?

I think I'll bring out the big guns (CB digi) early next week if AF hasn't come a calling by then.

yellow you'll have me peeing my life away on sticks I am not falling for it. No more pee in a pot until Monday. I'm at my M&D's this weekend so that'll be a good distraction. We're taking down trees in their garden - should I sit anything out do you think?

I'll be thinking of you though - your consultant appointment can't be far away. I have everything crossed you get the Clomid.

Iggy - Time for a new puppy do you reckon?. I took one of my girls out picking up last weekend and had so much fun - it's v hard not to get another.

iggypiggy · 21/01/2010 19:43

I bought a CB test after doing the Internet cheapie ones cos they seemed so faint. Am well impressed at idea of holding out till mon! I'd test again the next day!

New puppy is a fab idea I've never actually made it to actually taking mine out picking up but would love to! Very jealous...

Am really very excited for you!!!

daisydotandgertie · 22/01/2010 07:57

I've had the CBdigis sitting in a basket in the bathroom for at least 3 months. They're to be used if I really think I am up the pole.

I'm not there yet.

Picking up is just fabulous; there's nothing like working a dog, especially when it's your favourite . The one you just gets you, who is by your side, no matter what, and goes where you send her with no questions asked. Black Betty's my girl. Heart of a lion, her.

yellowflowers · 22/01/2010 10:53

I'm lost with the dog talk (more a cat person) but sounds fun(ish!).

But daisy - you do know you are pregnant don't you? I mean, you totally are, digi or not. Wooooohooooooooo.

My appt is next week. I am mid cycle now so if I get clomid as hoped for then I can start next cycle. And in fact there may be time if I don't to get private appt and to get it for next cycle too.

Remind me daisy - this is your first cycle of Clomid right? Did you just take it or did they scan to watch your progress?

daisydotandgertie · 22/01/2010 11:59

yellow I'm just not sure about it at all. I just don't believe the strips. The line is so faint and varies from one to another.

I think it's going to be another problem. There've been so many so far they sort of colour your judgement.

We'll see. It is my first cycle of Clomid and I've had no monitoring at all, so don't know if it even worked. I am chasing monitoring for my next cycle.

And I'll stop with dog stuff .

I so hope you get Clomid next week. It might just help!

yellowflowers · 22/01/2010 12:20

Was it the hospital who gave you clomid? I didn't know they did that without monitoring.

daisydotandgertie · 22/01/2010 13:18

Yes - it was the consultant. She handed over a script and sent me on my way.

Not ideal, I don't think. It's a very powerful drug and doesn't always do what it's meant to.

iggypiggy · 22/01/2010 13:26

Is ok if it works tho daisy

re: strips - I think cos they are cheapy made the concentration of chemicals is different from strip to strip - I have found the line varies and is always quite faint... I still think you have your BFP!

ps. one small bit more dog talk - this is why I want a bitch puppy - I am sure the girls are more loyal

daisydotandgertie · 22/01/2010 14:02

That's true yellow - as long as it works all is peachy.

My DH thinks we're up the pole too. I am unusually pessimistic. Or a miserable old hag.

We're taking trees down in the garden this weekend. Do you think I should be careful what I do? Not sure.

Girls are pretty loyal - but boys can be the same. I reckon it's the dog. I've never had one like this before.

yellowflowers · 22/01/2010 16:00

I didn't mean stop talking about dogs. Just meant don't think i am sniffy if I don't join in as I know nothing about them.

As for trees - seems like an excellent excuse not to do any hard labour. That said, am sure if you are pregnant it won't harm it either.

Look forward to an update. Have a good weekend everybody.
