Hi All,

New thread, a new beginning...

OP posts:
yellowflowers · 03/11/2009 13:53

have just thrown away some chicken I opened to cook with used by date nov 5th and been in fridge whole time but smelled off. It probably was off -must not think of this as a sympton!

SparkyMalarky · 03/11/2009 13:58

Ladies just popping on to say hi to Jools if she's checking in soon - and to wish you all luck....I was one of the original GFJ drinkers and am now typing one handed whilst bouncing my 6 month old DD on my knee so don't give up hope!

I don't have much time to post now, but I lurk on this and the thread for those with bumps and babes and have everything crossed for you ladies!

yellowflowers · 03/11/2009 14:15

hey sparky - so pleased everything worked out so perfectly for you. Can;t believe I am one of the only originals left now - hope my turn comes soon...

yellowflowers · 05/11/2009 09:12

oh dear - period has come early!

daisydotandgertie · 05/11/2009 16:38

Oh yellow - sorry that your period has arrived; eventually it has to work, doesn't it? How are you doing with weight loss?

We're still keeping on here; my DH has lost a stone since the beginning of October. And although I haven't weighed myself, I really can feel a difference. It's much easier to bend over, my clothes are significantly looser and I can see my jaw-bone!

Such a surprise to find it's still there .

I've had my MRI today - a very, very peculiar experience. The tube is so small - my nose was no more than 3 inches from the top of it. There's definitely no room to move.

The nurse at the end made me smile though - she said 'we've got some really clear images, it took longer than usual though. You're under the gynaecologist aren't you?'. Heaven knows what they saw, but it sounds as though they've seen something.

yellowflowers · 05/11/2009 17:52

ooh - I think I would find that horribly claustrophobic. When do you find out the results?
x

daisydotandgertie · 05/11/2009 20:17

They didn't say. I'm going to give them a week, and then phone the consultant's secretary and see what's going on.

I had to distance myself from the tube and not think about where I was. They put headphones on you so the very loud noise is deadened and play music through them. They had music playing for the first part of it, but didn't notice when it stopped and it did make the second half more difficult. It isn't dark inside, and there is an airvent above your face so you don't get hot.

I really, really hope they find the lump the ultrasound lady saw. I'll be frustrated if this also turns up nothing.

C1NDY · 06/11/2009 10:17

Daisy I am glad you have now at the scan, at least you may get some answers now. I will praying that all will be well and that you can finally get on with ttc! (big hugs)

Yellow sorry to hear Auntie Flow arrived but I still have good feeling about you, you will get the bfp soon!

I am back at work still glum with the cold but hey its FRiday and its the weekend soon!!

Love to all
Cindy

thanks cindy - I have my hsg on wed and am oddly terrified. Also have heard stories of hsg making you more fertile for a couple of months so after the no sex for 4 day rule following the procedure we are going to try super hard this month. (What does trying super hard mean?)

daisydotandgertie · 06/11/2009 20:44

I reckon it means plenty of shagging. Once every 2 days I've heard is the best method.

Tiring, but effective. Got me my short-lived BFP last time.

C1NDY · 09/11/2009 09:38

Yellow Good Luck. I had a friend that sweared by waiting for AF to go and then counting 5 days and then bding and then missing a day and then bbding and to do this for as long as your cycle as you can! phew But it worked for her! When I got the BFP I bded three days after my cycle ended and if you all remember my DH was just recovering from Swine Flu symptons so we only did it the once!! so it just goes to show that sometimes its on the quantity that counts!!

OP posts:
C1NDY · 09/11/2009 09:40

By the way, I had a cold and mild case of flu last week. Have a terrible cough but am getting better. Can I ask you ladies what you think of the Swine Flu injection, my doctor is lining me up for the Celvpan injection which requires two injections to protect me and the unborn baby. I would rather not take it but am worried that if I did catch it then I may get complications!

OP posts:
yellowflowers · 10/11/2009 13:23

i'm not sure what I would do cindy - take my doctors advice I guess.

HSG for me tomorrow.

C1NDY · 11/11/2009 10:05

Good Luck Yellow will be thinking of you. Let us know how it goes.

Daisy have you got your results back yet?

OP posts:
yellowflowers · 11/11/2009 14:32

Thanks Cindy - it was okay. Actually it hurt but it was over quickly and dh and I had posh tea and cake afterwards (bang goes diet for today). The radiologist said that the dye passed through the tube fine so it looks okay (though he has to look later on a high definition screen before writing his final report).

His advice was not to ttc this month in case the egg was already there and had a dose of xray but as it is day 7 today and I have never ovulated this early we are going to leave it four days or so and then go back to ttc.

daisydotandgertie · 11/11/2009 20:53

I'm so pleased it went OK Yellow - I've checked into see how you are. It's really good news that your tubes look to be OK. It sounds as though the waiting was more awful than the actual test.

Why is it always the same?!

Posh afternoon tea, though. It makes most things worthwhile I find.

I don't have any MRI results back yet but am going to chase the consultants sec tomorrow. I reckon a week is a reasonable amount of time to leave it.

I have got the results of my 21 day progesterone test back and the GP said it is normal. Fingers crossed the consultant says the same thing!

C1NDY - I don't think I would get the jab to be honest. I'd be worried about drugs in my system which may affect my baby. You live/work in an urban area (I've checked your profile) and haven't caught it yet! But I suppose I ultimately would be led by my doctor.

yellowflowers · 12/11/2009 17:10

Hi Daisy - any news? Am thinking of you.

C1NDY · 13/11/2009 14:00

Guess what everyone.... Iggy got a BFP... I am like the Herald... so don't you all give up, as the thread says you will all get a bfp and no one will get left behind!! Thinking of you all

Love

any news daisydot?

daisydotandgertie · 17/11/2009 20:31

Thank you yellow - I don't have any news at all yet. There hasn't been a peep from the hospital.

The consultant has been on holiday since I had my hysteroscopy, and came back to work last week. I had the MRI 12 days ago now, so have been ringing the consultant's sec to try and find out when I will know the results. Frustratingly, she's also been on holiday each time I've rung.

It feels as though the last person who left the hospital didn't turn out the lights.

I will ring again in the morning. I was referred by my GP on 27 August - and again as a private referral on 22 September. I saw the consultant on 1 October and have been waiting to find out what's wrong ever since.

I really, really want to know what's inside me. And what they're going to do about it. We've carried on TTC this month, just in case - pointless I suppose.

yellow have you heard anything about your results yet? Do you know when you'll hear?

yellowflowers · 17/11/2009 20:56

I got an interim all clear from the radiologist but now won;t get full report until my appointment at end of Jan when hopefully they will give me clomid.

yellowflowers · 17/11/2009 20:57

won't not won;t - this darn keyboard!

daisydotandgertie · 18/11/2009 08:06

That's a long time to wait yellow - but I suppose as the radiologist has given you a good heads up, then it's taken away a lot of the worry really.

I've just peed on a stick. And I know I shouldn't have done because I'm only on CD 22. But there's a little positive line showing. All I have to work out is how to encourage it to implant safely.

All I can think of is no lifting - is there anything else I should be doing?!!
