Welcome along women of a certain age. The new palace has a post modern water feature, spouting forth gin from a serious of suspicious looking humps...

I think I must be channelling Scorpette today - it's all I can do to stop myself from hoking about in my laydeezunmentionables to see if I can spot RTOD, right here at my desk!

CurlyCasper · 28/10/2009 17:00

cho I did one month of OPKs and grew impatient. I do temp, but charts have been all over the shop - another reason I'm not sure I'm ovulating.

Also, I rarely manage to sleep through, always waking way too early needing a pee, which doesn't help. I'm combatting that by following Fert Friend/other advice to add 0.1F for every half-hour early you take BBT and that seems to be smoothing things out. Waiting for the surge this cycle (on CD14)

cameltoe it doesn't feel like implantation, I usually feel that across my back and this is across my tummy. I am a bit meh about it today but it is annoying to have to wait almost 3 weeks to try again and over a month till I can find out if it worked.

chochosan don't do it, unless you are in the office on your own.

Bessie123 · 28/10/2009 17:03

caspar if you like I will CAT you a picture of my dd, that will help you squeeze an eggy out.

ChoChoSan · 28/10/2009 17:05

I am in the office on my own, but there are v large windows and the caretaker keeps walking past - I think I would find that hard to explain

CurlyCasper · 28/10/2009 17:05

camel I've been looking in to this and from what I can gather it's only the progesterone test that needs to actually be done seven days after ov (hence commonly being done on Day 21), and that test isn't even on my bloods form.

Nothing more than the blood test for now - we'll see where that goes.

CurlyCasper · 28/10/2009 17:06

bessie i have no idea how CAT works - but please try it!

Bessie123 · 28/10/2009 17:08

ah caspar mumsnet says you have chosen not to receive messages.

cho you'll have to time it right then

ChoChoSan · 28/10/2009 17:08

Curly

I found opks to be a bit rubbish, especially as I ov at cd17/18, so it was only by temping I discovered I was opk-ing too early. I am lucky in that I have regular cycles though, so I could pack it in after a couple of months, and now I know when to start OPKs, though tbh the line is never as dark as it should be, so I just think they are shit!

CurlyCasper · 28/10/2009 17:10

bessie I've just changed my settings to let you in

OP posts:
CurlyCasper · 28/10/2009 17:13

cho Interesting - cos the OPK packets say you should have a solid line and that's what really annoyed me when I swore I could see something really faint. Wish they were like HPTs. I have a stack upstairs, but as you say, the key is in knowing when to use them. I did it one cycle from day 9 to day 19 (and SWId for the same period) only to then get the droid on day 38! Scuppered !

Bessie123 · 28/10/2009 17:15

It depends what your body does with hormones as well. It only shows up certain levels of hormones, I think some people don't produce as much as others.

caspar I have sent you a very silly message with no pic.

waspylady · 28/10/2009 18:18

Bessie I feel your pain

I am on day 7 and am stressing about which days to plan my SWI. I think I should be due to ov Wed or Thurs next week but can only SWI every other day. Should I go for Mon and Wed or Tues and Thurs?

Am obsessing about this at the moment, what advice BESHies?

CurlyCasper · 28/10/2009 18:40

bessie haven't got your CAT yet. think MN HQ has to be around for those to work. I'll look forward to it tomorrow!

OP posts:
Bessie123 · 28/10/2009 18:47

waspylady just do it every day to be sure. I read that you should do that to make sure you get the healthiest sperms.

waspylady · 28/10/2009 18:51

I know every day would be better but cannot force persuade my sex slave partner of that. What to do...

CUNextTuesday · 28/10/2009 19:07

I hope ski's house move went ok. Worried about her

Bessie123 · 28/10/2009 19:13

Why are you worried? I'm sure she can move house on her own. Of course, she'll be missing us though

CurlyCasper · 28/10/2009 19:17

Just got your CAT bessie (looks like MN HQ doing overtime). Thanks for trying! I shall paint a picture of your beautiful child in my mind and shake my ovaries around to get them excited

OP posts:
CUNextTuesday · 28/10/2009 20:25

Bess she's like a missing pet I know she's alright, I just can't help thinking something may have happened to her, like she can't be arsed coming back or she's fed up of us or summat

Medee · 28/10/2009 20:35

ooh, new look. It still doesn't take you to the last post you read though.

ginhag · 28/10/2009 21:02

cunty have been trying to bump into you! Am thinking of you lots mate and hope all's well. Am not on great form at the mo so am only lurking in the darkest corners of the palace, but saw your news and have my toes crossed for ya. Big snogs x

Scorpette · 28/10/2009 21:24

Have switched from 2WOOFLing to pre-birthday madness. Anyone know how to lose a stone and get rid of 2 massive throbbing red lump-spots for tomorrow morning?

gin We're thinking of you and sending you obscene amounts of love lesbo sex violence your way. Would you like us to beat you into a coma until next week is over?

CUNextTuesday · 28/10/2009 21:26

Ta muchly ginhog. Taking it day by day - cannot process having a successful pregnancy at all, keep thinking what I'm going to drink when I'm not pregnant any more and it feels like a really temporary state. Still surprise myself when I remember cos I can go hours and hours without thinking about it.

I hope nobody here minds me saying that I'm still quite ambivalent about the whole thing. I appreciate there are many of us that are desperate to be pregnant and prob think I'm a true BESH, but equally I know there are one or two of us that can't decide whether they think it's a good idea or not and are doing it because it's now or never. I fret about the life change and about the restrictions, about the pain and the drudgery. Going to take me a while to get used to - if it lasts that long.

Chin up gin, whatever it is that's troubling you we're all rooting for you xx

CUNextTuesday · 28/10/2009 21:29

scorpy remove one leg at the hip, and put strong aftershave (pref Old Spice) on spots. job done.
