Welcome along women of a certain age. The new palace has a post modern water feature, spouting forth gin from a serious of suspicious looking humps...

Iggy - for you. And for TLO, who was probably digging the idea of a child with a similar birthday. I know you're not a soppy type, but... LOOK OVER THERE!

givecarrotsachance · 28/10/2009 11:30

scorp thanks for the spelling check. I was a leeetle bit squiffy and clearly embarassed myself with spelling woes.

I'm really, really sorry to say this but temp drops isn't a good sign . Diffed temps tend to stay high . I could of course be completely wrong. I'm just saying what I understand - please anyone feel free to contradict me.

CurlyCasper · 28/10/2009 11:31

Ah, iggy has a husband birthday coming up too. Anyone else's other half's birthday this weekend? SFF's is Halloween. Might have to give him some sex for pleasure, I suppose (stealth SWI, to be honest!)

givecarrotsachance · 28/10/2009 11:40

Oh and for me, definately fairy cakes.

longwee · 28/10/2009 11:41

for iggy and also for ginhag - I seem to remember she has her babyfailduedate coming up soon. Tis shit shit shit indeed.

CurlyCasper · 28/10/2009 11:56

ooops x-post above

OP posts:
CurlyCasper · 28/10/2009 12:09

Also realised I probably missed the point and sounded a bit insensitive to lovely iggs sorry mate. I'm inept when it comes to loss and don't know what to say, so I'll line up some Jaegermeister instead. And flick elastic bands at your forehead (?)

Just found out I have to see a different doctor today Bang goes my plan. Instead of Mr Meak and favourably-inept, I've got a proper lady doctor who gave me a very blank look last time I went in... (didn't help that after a blood test I'd been told to see GP for no reason and wasted both my own and her time) [gulp]

Carrots - I think the birthday girl is referring to the infamous "implantation dip" seen on lots of pregnancy charts. Difference between that and temps in decline because periody. If she's about to have a period at 7 dpo, that would be Bad.

I don't do well with Scorpio boyfs - in my limited experience of one - who was a psychopath. Possibly nothing to do with his birthday, mind you. TB is a sagittarius (sp?)and is still bitching about the fact that I deliberately planned the wedding for 4 days after his birthday, cunningly cheating him out of birthday celebrations for the rest of our married life.

givecarrotsachance · 28/10/2009 12:15

ideal ok, didn't know about that . Sorry Scorps.

Scorpette · 28/10/2009 12:26

Yeah, I was happy cos a temp dip between DPO7-9 is a really good sign re: implantation. Would you like to shit on my birthday cake as well, Carrots?

Not that it has been made yet - TYF will be getting his Masterchef on later to present me with a scrummy sticky ginger cake tomorrow

I have had ONE early gift though: the left side of my face has broken out in quite remarkably angry acne - 2 giant throbbing red lumps and loads of nasty spots. I usually have really good skin. So on my birthday tomorrow it's a case of Skin Age:15, Ovarian Age: ancient. Special.

Fucking spots better be a bastard updiff sign

Bessie123 · 28/10/2009 12:32

Scorps spots are definitely an updiff sign. How many days PO are you? I'm 8 today, only 2 days till I can POAS

idealcamel · 28/10/2009 12:34

Wow, Bessie, you're going to POAS at 10 dpo? You is well brave, blud.

Am staying well clear of the bastard tests until any camelette is 18, at least. Someone on another thread called it Schroedinger's Pregnant Cat - until you POAS, you're potentially pregnant. I like that mind state much, much better!

longwee · 28/10/2009 12:44

Scorp are you going to do a special birthday POAS tomorrow?

I was convinced I was updiffed a few days ago but less so now as wombular feelings are not so convincing... Went out to get some piss sticks at lunchtime - however bloke in pharmacy couldn't understand me so I had to keep saying 'pregnancy test', 'pregnancy test', 'PREGNANCY TEST', 'PREGNANCY TEST'.

Please stop making me say 'pregnancy' it is jinxing my ancient womb!

And they didn't have any anyway, sigh. Went round the corner and bought five so gonna have a go in the morning (12DPO - that's allowed innit?)

Scorpette · 28/10/2009 13:13

Ha, WeeWee, you know me too well! I want to POAS tomorrow, even though it'll only be DPO8/9. Some wimminz do get a BFP six days before droid is due, so it's technically possible I'll get a good result. On the plus side, it prolly will be too early for anything other than a BFN, so if I do get a BFN, it won't upset me as I can tell myself it's too early. I'm glad I'm clever enough for such inventive self-inflicted insanity!

Bessie - DPO7/8 (I say this cos I got the big Ov temp dip on D14 but positive POK on D15, so who knows exactly?). Me, you and Camel are pretty much neck and neck in our 2WOOFL stage

Camel - loving your Schrodinger's Pregnant Cat thing. Can we extend it to covering menstruation, so that are 'technically' pg at all times?

idealcamel · 28/10/2009 13:16

My 2WOOFL is officially over, my chickens. Went to toilet and there was blood - not much, but enough to confirm usual pattern. I will now spot for four days, frantically google implantation bleed, pretend that's what this is and then finally admit defeat when the mooncup overfloweth.

However, at least this makes it worthwhile heading for fertility consult on 12th November.

givecarrotsachance · 28/10/2009 13:24

ideal so sorry

scorps I'll get me coat.

Bessie123 · 28/10/2009 13:28

cameltoe really sorry to hear that and hoping it IS an implantation bleed...

idealcamel · 28/10/2009 13:32

Bessie - if only.

Still, next cycle is officially my twelfth of TTC, so that means I HAVE to win my baybee, right? It's statistics, so it must be true...

Scorpette · 28/10/2009 13:45

Camel, am I allowed to believe for you that it's an implantation bleed until I hear of more fulsome bleeding? And as for next cycle - I hear that if you really, REALLY don't want an end-of-Aug baybee, Teh Baby Jebus gives you one out of spite. So start worrying about lagging-behind summer kiddiwinks!

I salute my fallen comrade in the 2WOOFL war. Her valour will not be forgotten

idealcamel · 28/10/2009 14:02

Aw, shucks - ta, Scorpette.

(and yes, weeping over my posts, while delightfully sentimental in the proper eighteenth-century sense of the word, is clearly mad, and must mean you're diffed)

I kind of feel like next month is really crucial (thus guaranteeing no baby) because is last chance to get pregnant a) before the year of trying is up and b) so that I have a baby before my next birthday.

It would be nice if I could stop imposing arbitrary deadlines on self.

ChoChoSan · 28/10/2009 14:10

Greetings Desperados!

It's a busy day in the palace today, n'est pas?
Lots to catch up with...sorry you have your EDD coming up igs..thinking about givingyouachineseburn you .

idealcamel Noooo...can't believe the R2D2 arrived...you must have angered the gods of fertility. next month you must repent and appease the gods by massaging your ovaries widdershins, whilst reciting the 'My Lily is Precious' song from 'Nighty Nighty' prior to sex. Oh, and don't forget to have sex this time...that winky/hankyhole shenanigans will never work!

Ok, well I am still not riding the white pony, though due on today...you will note that I poas on MONDAY, in true BESHpsychoLOONEY manner...and obviously babyfail. I think the progesterone gel that I have been illicitly shoving up the foofoo, might extend the length of my cycle, so I have to wait for that to arrive before I can start gearing up for next month!

idealcamel · 28/10/2009 14:40

Feck, it was widdershins. I always massage the wrong way round.

What's this you say about actually having sex? My husband is of such gigantic brain that we have been mindmelding. Will this not produce baybeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees?

ChoChoSan · 28/10/2009 14:45

No, my lovely ...what you need to do is STOP THINKING ABOUT IT, AND THEN IT WILL HAPPEN, and you can hardly be doing that with hubby's great big brain, can you? Silly camel!

givecarrotsachance · 28/10/2009 14:53

cho makes perfect sense to me. I would also like to say, ideal, relax. It will happen when it's your time. Erm, and don't think about it too much. And what will be will fucking be.

Not sure why I'm other than peeved at babyfails this month and wishing for good news (scorp)

givecarrotsachance · 28/10/2009 14:54

cho have you a chance for this month? Or is next month def your month?
