Welcome along women of a certain age. The new palace has a post modern water feature, spouting forth gin from a serious of suspicious looking humps...

scorps round us, if you get a form saying what bloods you need from the docs, you can walk into the local hospital and have it done by dedicated nurses at a time to suit you. You just walk in, take a number and wait - a bit like at the deli in the supermarket. It's right next to GUM too, at our hosp, so you can get your crabs sorted at the same time

OP posts:
Scorpette · 26/10/2009 19:59

ShortandCurlies, you are presuming that my Docs are any use . And I would have to take 3 buses there and 3 back and waste about 3 hours travelling time (cos of all the buses) to get to a hospital with an inpatients. BTW, are your crabs from all that bumsex?

BTW, you will feel my pain - without asking me, my hairdressers cut really short chunky layers into my hair on Friday. Short chunky layers. On thick wavy hair. I look like I've got 3 separate hairstyles on one head. There have been tears. Although I went back to complain and they gave me some posh intensive conditioner worth £15 to say sorry. Which does not compensate for my previous groovy rock-chick look with heavy fringe now being a 90s-throwback frizzstack with special needs fringe as well

And a dear family friend died (and the funeral's on my birthday). What a start to my birthday week

skihorse · 26/10/2009 20:38

Lovely BESHs - I'm offline until I'm back at work on Friday. Can someone please win a baybee in my absence?

Cosmosis · 26/10/2009 20:51

3 times a day extreme?? I was proud of doing it twice on saturday! First time we've done it twice in the same day for years and years.

Speaking of which, we decided to attempt to calculate the amount of times we haz done it altogether today. Childish?

Anyhow, what I'm wondering is this? Who decided that 2 weeks between ov and the droid was how it works?? I'm going slowly insane here

idealcamel · 26/10/2009 21:00

Scorpetal - fucking shitarse week, poor love. Surely the karmic reward must be a baybeeeee.

I too do not know why it has been ordained that 2 weeks must pass between ovulation & droid. Will be bonkers by next Monday. Have already tried to fiddle
my fertility friend chart. Also used to cheat at Patience as a kid.

Have appointment at fertility clinic for 12 Nov; does this mean I will be pregnant by then and not need to use it?

Cosmosis · 26/10/2009 21:00

Oh, and I win on the old dad stakes, mine is 75.

Scorpette · 26/10/2009 21:25

Ski - hope the move goes well. And I'll try and win everyone a baybee on the Hook A Duck when the fair comes to town

iggypiggy · 26/10/2009 22:10

Thanks BESHes the violence has helped muchly

scorps awful thing is - you notice alot of stuff when 2WOOLFing - is only if you 100% know there is no updiffed chance that you realise that you still get the same 'symptoms' - or maybe that is just me...

cho and waspy fanks for the booze

curly might try dr... is worth try.. maybe they will discover that eggs is omlette or summat

iggypiggy · 26/10/2009 22:12

ps. scorps I is bonkers superstitious too

cosmo and what what the answer? How many times?!!!

Scorpette · 26/10/2009 23:55

And are you putting bumsex, foofoonaughties and praying to Teh Baybee Jebus into separate categories or lumping them all together?

PS I miss VAG, Skater and Gin. Where are those slaaaags?

Scorpette · 26/10/2009 23:58

PS Iggy - yep, you do realise that loads of 'signs' are just menstrual stuff you've never paid attention to before

givecarrotsachance · 27/10/2009 11:05

Scorp so sorry to hear about your shitty time

givecarrotsachance · 27/10/2009 11:06

all that jizz up there is giving me thrush now

Why is it that all they have to do is the fun stuff and we get all the shit? And they STILL complain!!

CurlyCasper · 27/10/2009 11:22

carrots - sorry about that. here's have a apple cider vinegar*-based cocktail to ease your irritated lady parts.

I was actually thinking the opposite - prone to a bit of the old candida me. Yet since I stopped take the pill and other meds and started having regular sex, I've not been hit. (touches wood frantically for fear of thrush wrath). Hope you feel better soon.

*to realign your PH balance

OP posts:
idealcamel · 27/10/2009 11:37

Apparently thrush is a Sign of Updiffedness (SOD?)

givecarrotsachance · 27/10/2009 12:09

Hmm Casp apple cider vinegar - I've heard that. Just a bit worried about anything going up there in case it interfers with the spermies which are apparently as delicate as fuck, so something from the top down needs to be investigated. I also see acidophilus tablets in my future.

ideal nice thought, but I'm on day 12 and have not even ovulated yet , even I'm not that nuts!

givecarrotsachance · 27/10/2009 12:11

Actually, I used to get it loads but when I had DS it seemed to fix it and it went away until recently.

Frejya · 27/10/2009 12:41

Silly Question: When do you start 2WOOLFing? I'm Day 14. Still SWI. Cant tell what is what in the knicker department, inf act I'm past caring now.
ChooChoo how very dare CBD says no. take that, in fact have a stamp on the toe too, there does that feel better.
carrots please do call me Freda. I am superstitious or I would change it myself.
I'm sorry to hear about your shitty week Scorps Shall we obsess?

curlywurly I'm with you on the babyee announcement hell. I've had an email from a friend to say shes expecting baybee #5. She's only blardy 42. Greedy cow.

This 2 week wait is just 2 week horribilis.

CurlyCasper · 27/10/2009 12:48

carrots, I was taking acidophilus until started TTC. Wasn't sure of whether I should keep going - bottle says pregnant women etc should always check with docs before taking any supplements and so on and so forth. Now not bothering anyway because I don't seem to need it. (was thinking about this last night - how to discover if/which meds were causing it and avioid going back to them. Could have been the pill though...)

You can also drink apple cider vinegar (tastes fowl, but 1tsp in a glass of water, downed before breakfast, was just about manageable). I have used the vinegar and/or tea tree oil (dilute) topically with success. Defo would not touch the tea tree while TTC though!

I was being seen by specialist for more than 18 months for it and got to stage where the prescribed fortnightly and later monthly treatment was making things worse rather than better Expensive oral tablets always do the trick though!

Can you tell I've had an on-off 10 year battle with this? Yes, ladies, I think we've found my Mastermind subject

OP posts:
givecarrotsachance · 27/10/2009 12:54

Casp I will try the apple cider. I have some. Tea tree is used dilute on a tampon (bloody messy to get in!) but always made me a little sore BUT did the job brilliantly - better than OTC topical stuff. Yes, OTC tabs worked well but again not sure about taking while TTC. sigh

I think I may try to find out more about the acidop. Was always good for me and have also used it successfully when DS was tiny and got the odd bout.

givecarrotsachance · 27/10/2009 13:08

Oh Ye Gods what am I doing?

I actually looked in AIBU and then I actually posted! I mean people are asking whether it's unreasonable to want to call a cup cake/bun/whatever a fairy cake instead. Jeeeeez.

Pulls life firmly together

CurlyCasper · 27/10/2009 13:13

and yet I'm sooo very tempted to join in the AIBU chat...

OP posts:
givecarrotsachance · 27/10/2009 13:19

I know, it's compulsive

Shutting down web browser now and doing some work!

iggypiggy · 27/10/2009 14:50

scorps sorry to hear about the bad start to birthday week

A tampon with tea tree oil err... ouch I think... carrots that is well mental

curly can you use the vinegar in salad dressing instead for same effect?! vile to drink it surely... Although maybe ok in bloody mary?!

frej 5 is greedy - smack her from me

CurlyCasper · 27/10/2009 15:09

tree tree oil experience is a bit less unpleasant when applied to a "sea pearl" natural tampon sponge thing (seen them with a better name recently - something to do with Jam... must google). iggy* if you take just a drop of vinegar in lots of water its' bearable - especially when weighted up against the nastiness of thrush. But I guess you could do it as a salad dressing, as long as you ingest it somehow.

Hope you and your hair are better scorps and ski's move is going well

*it's called a Jam Sponge. revolting when you compare that to a cake
