Come on in, ladies. I've had a widescreen telly installed and there's a big cupboard full of 80s teen movies if anyone's interested. New and more secure cages for our prey are being delivered soon. There's a big picture of a desert over the bar, a loudly ticking clock in the corner and bowls of raisins, currants and sultanas on every table; everything the discerning BESH could ask for...

Hello bigweewee welcome back (well, when you get off the plane)

we'll line some drinks up on the bar for you-pile straight in,perfect antidote to long flight.

scorp I would posit the theory

ginhag · 04/10/2009 20:22

Ps frank turner playing some tunes to promote his album at a local record shop on 26th oct. However I believe all those BESHes who like his music live far from brizzle?

CUNextTuesday · 04/10/2009 20:23

Magic thanx Med!!

Of course had I been in any way compost mantis I would have thought to google it myself....

kimdeal · 04/10/2009 20:24

bessie hug (don't think anyone's looking?) and here's a big (nut free, cos scorps told me so) peanut biscuit. Have been thinking of ya a lot.

[PS gigantic thanks all.]

ginhag · 04/10/2009 21:46

kim peanuts thing,in my awfully extremely humble opinion,a bit bollicks. The advice on not eating them when pg has changed recently (maybe different for those with a history of allergies,so could still apply to the scorper)

I fucking crrrraaaaved snickers bars n peanut butter when pg,and ate them.

Having said that I may be A Terrible Person

ginhag · 04/10/2009 21:51

cunty I had The Worst Hangover Of My Life when sailing on that there hol I just had. Serves me right for 'trying to be 18 again' as mr gin so kindly put it when being mr smug the next day. Couldn't even stand up,was very sick,on a boat in 30 degree heat with my son and parents. Not fun.

But my mum cheered me up that night by getting so pissed she feel in the sea! I loves 'er I do

ginhag · 04/10/2009 21:53

FELL

HawaiianCuntShine · 04/10/2009 22:44

gin you are very lucky to have a mum that will one-up you with something like that!

I just wanted to mention that I'm becoming obsessed in my love of buffalo chicken wings. goes very well with vodka. Ok, that's it.

Bessie123 · 05/10/2009 08:40

Thanks so much for all your kind messages, they really cheered me up. I am back at work now which I'm hoping will give me something else to focus on. So I will be sniggering quietly at your posts while trying to be grown up and hard working.

Scorpette - any progress with R2D2?

Scorpette · 05/10/2009 09:26

Braaaahn Bits Watch, Day 6: Still just braaaahn bits. Continue to feel sick, have tender breasts and need a wee every 5 mins. And have also come down with a stinking cold - so haven't slept and it's my Gran's 90th B-day on Thurs. and am terrified of passing it on to her (v. old lady + bad cold = not good).

My latest theory - and its logic has nothing to do with the fact that I thought of it whilst laid wide awake at 4.30am as I was painfully snuffling back pools of mucus - is that I am pg, but the braaahn bits are cos I always get braaahn bits mixed with blood for the first few days of normal droid, which is clearly old bits of wombiness being got rid of, so maybe this is old wombiness being got rid of without the corresponding period cos of a baybee. However, have just POASed again and got another BFN so am back to 'WTF?'.

Yes, I have Googled to see if having a cold can be dangerous if you're a few wks preg. Shut up.

Gin - the peanut thing was kim imagining making them with her future sprog, and I was pretending to be horrified about it Can't see why pg wimminz shouldn't eat 'em but you are right that allergy sufferers like me are advised to avoid them. I hate them, so it won't be a chore.

Bessie - what are these 'grown up' and 'hard working' you speak of? [confused face]

OP posts:
skihorse · 05/10/2009 09:37

Well if you're horrified by peanuts - how about Sainsburys refusing to sell a woman cheddar because it would "harm her baybeeee".

Scorpette I'm shaking my head sadly innit. Have you running the Dyson over your vag to see if it will bring on R2D2? Why not carry the tend to the local park and erect (snigger) it? Vast nylon sheets are more irresistible to R2D2 than cunty and red wine!

Hawaiian I didn't know buffalos had wings obv.

Scorpette · 05/10/2009 10:12

Ski we changed the bedlinen last night and I insisted on using the best we have, purely to tempt the droid - because there's nothing a period finds more irresistible than an expanse of expensive, fresh white sheets, but to no avail. If I had skintight white jeans - or the figure to carry them off - I'd be wearing them

Scorpette · 05/10/2009 11:35

Had some proper bleeding now. At least I know what's going on for sure and can look forward to SWI soon. Everyone please keep their fingers crossed I'll ovulate normally this month

OP posts:
skihorse · 05/10/2009 11:52

Oh that's bollocks Scorpette I'm sorry to hear that. Why not go for a roll up on those sheets? Crawl in to bed with a hot water bottle & a hot toddy?

Scorpette · 05/10/2009 12:15

I blame you and your bringing up the topic of tents; clearly, the ability of a tent to trigger menstruation is more deadly and powerful than previously considered.

Not crampy yet - I bet that'll be saved for my only other day at work this week and will prolly have to take the day off (my cramps are that bad) and thus earn NOWT this week. That plus period 'n' manflu combo - things just keep getting better and better.

skihorse · 05/10/2009 13:02

Do you ever feel that you and your common sense are swimming against the tide?

I'm now 6DPO and have no symptoms whatsoever - only 8 days of making them up to go! Lovely clear skin.

I went to a horse show at the weekend to check out the competition as it were should I get repeated babyfails. It was very confidence-giving and I will definitely be doing it in 2010. I also made a decision about my skiing for 2010 so now that I've made all these decisions AND have my belt comfortably on its tightest hole...

Btw, is it wrong to sacrifice the sofa/new TV fund to buy a horsebox?

laurielou · 05/10/2009 13:59

Congratulations kim that's fabulous news (the updiffment, not the nausea).

Nice to see you back bess take care.

I'm busy busy in work before my jaunt on Thurs, so I shall bid you farewell now. I'm going to try & go cold turkey for a bit too. The boyf & I bought tickets for Glastonbury, so have decided to give TTC a rest for a few months. Its all got a bit too much & I had a crisis over the weekend re Glasto. Can't put life on hold (would've had a very dull past 2 years!) but can guarantee updiffment if we continued to SWI. I reckon I could cope with Glasto at about 4 months up the diff, so will start trying again next year.

In the meantime good luck to all, & if you see a dark shadow perving peering through the windows, don't call the cops or come out with pitchforks, its just me lurking.

Laters.........

VeryAngryGusset · 05/10/2009 14:16

Some people get to have babies. Other people do not get to have them. I'm having a BESH moment that I don't want to go into (maybe another day, not that I don't love you all, just think this story is too specific to me). Am on day 36 of an anovulatory cycle confirmed by doc and need to smile smile smile later when I visit the maternity unit.

Line up the 80% proff stuff, David. I need to pickle my useless ovaries once and for all.

ginhag · 05/10/2009 14:28

laurie we'll miss ya,you can still come round the palace to get pissed whenever you feel like it,ttc or not. Please come n say hello after hols... And have an ace time. Smooches x

VAG god sounds like a very bad day. Fuck it I'm gonna go proper girly and do extreme hugs. If you do wanna vent at some point we're here sistah. Worried about you... Will join you in a drink tho.

skihorse · 05/10/2009 14:29

VAG I'm sorry to hear you're in the wars.

laurielou Come back whenever you're ready. Btw, carry on having sex - maybe you could use the withdrawal method? There are a whole thread of numpties over on pregnancy who didn't know you could get pregnant this way... or by breastfeeding. Or having sex standing up? These presumably are the same women who don't wash their hair when they're on their period.

skihorse · 05/10/2009 14:30

ginhag is right vag - we all adore you and will group hug you.

Bessie123 · 05/10/2009 14:36

VAG - sorry you're having a hard time. I definitely agree that alcohol is the way forward. Have you also considered trashy telly and snarling at people? Perhaps the odd tantrum? Sometimes works for me. Chin up, and hope things start to feel better soon.

Scorpette · 05/10/2009 14:39

Aw VAG Is it your sister and her 47 children? At least you're a great actress, so plaster on that smile and work a 'tears of a clown' angle. You know we're here when and if you want to share

We'll all end up buying one of these, mark my words: www.reborn-baby.com/

LaurieTheLurker - at least I know now who's been perving at me in the showers Well-fucking-done to get Glasto tickets - that's a feat harder to achieve than a BESH updiff! Please pop in and chat - a TTC break doesn't make you an outcast (although if you start wearing Crocs, that's a different matter).

Ski - don't ask my opinion on TV vs horsebox; I'm a massive coach potato and love me tellybox.

No more bleeding or braaaahn bits - wha's gaan'aan?

PS Just sneezed right into my soup. Mmmmm, salty.

skihorse · 05/10/2009 14:41

Scorpette ooooh that sounds like Ovarian Cancer to me. Google it!

RunLyraRun · 05/10/2009 14:56

VAG, am joining in the with ski. to person in maternity ward. Chin up chuck.
