OOOh - Hope this'll do! Emergency!

OP posts:
CurlyCasper · 29/08/2009 18:50

sorry about that. a little calmer now I've been for walk with dog and SFF and got the pizza ordered.

Hope you're feeling better now extreme

Now, where's the cyber gin? Closest I'm going to get with (in theory) the 2WOOFL starting around now...

Scorpette · 29/08/2009 18:51

We SWI every 2 days and aim for every day over Ov time. Except every time, it's been on a Thurs/Fri and TYF is always dropping with exhaustion at the end of a hectic week. Can't get him to see that my ovulation won't hang about whilst he gets a big lie and then is ready for a steamy weekend... He wouldn't do it last night (to be fair, he was reeling and woozy with fatigue), even though OPK tests said I was positive for OV for the 2nd day in a row (still hoping ski's info about opk tests possibly flagging updiff is what's happened here).

I have a lot of cuddly toys in my parents' loft too - and I don't mean from my childhood My arsehole Ex always used to buy me cuddly toys: I knew it was his weird way of stringing me along further with his 'not yet' LIES about having kids, by giving me these child substitutes (he also was really into them, strangely enough for a man) but I, erm, still liked them. Whereas TYF thinks cuddly toys are stupid but wants a child with me - thank god I got Mr Right after all these yrs! Although he is, luckily, rather fond of my Snowy (of TinTin fame) memorabilia: bonus!

Loonpot update: am getting wombular 'pangs' across the whole womb area. This is exciting me a bit, as, as I've said before, I only ever get period pains, mittelschmerz and so on on the left. Have never had sensations on the right, so to get them across whole pelvic area is freaky (in a good way). Of course, it's probably my lower intestine and I just need a massive poo, but a girl can 2WOOFL, can't she?

Scorpette · 29/08/2009 19:24

PS Poor Curly's Mum

CurlyCasper · 30/08/2009 08:33

Cheers scorp

Hope you got some last night! Wombular pains sound postive to me - unless you've since had said massive poo and they've gone...

Off to spend time with loads of in-laws.

Medee · 30/08/2009 09:07

morning ladies. Have had a lovely weekend in my home town - managed to stick to just two glasses of wine, with little suspicion, but let best mate into secret that I had come off the pill. Met her new 4 week old baby (#3) who was very sweet. Husband a little annoyed I told someone, but I didn't tell her we were actively trying, just that I was off the pill now.

idealcamel · 30/08/2009 13:24

Hello peeps. Heading back to London from fabby wedding. Have spent slightly too long in company of gorgeous baby and therefore had stampy feet petulant tantrum of the I WANT NOW! GET! variety. Slightly disconcerting, but will put it down to boozes rather than impending madness... Hope your bank hols are lovely.

Cosmosis · 30/08/2009 15:21

I have a prescription for all you ladies wanting to ovulate - watch the Eden channel this weekend, it's animal babies weekend and I have been aaahing and baby tigers and polar bears. I swear they would make the beshest of us melt!

CurlyCasper · 30/08/2009 19:43

cosmo I saw the tiger kitten being bathed this morning before going out - heart left in puddle of melt on the floor

skihorse · 30/08/2009 19:50

Casper Strange... when I was across the border at a similar place you're at... we had more along the lines of dead lambs left in our beds by haw-di-haw agri students.

CurlyCasper · 30/08/2009 19:58

slight crossing over into Facebook RL there, ski so going to move swiftly on if you don't mind

CurlyCasper · 30/08/2009 19:59

survived in-laws, they boozed, I drove... Round two tomorrow, would gladly switch roles if I wasn't 2WOOFLing

skihorse · 30/08/2009 20:00

Sorry. - can't help but notice you didn't flinch at the description though!

Where is Scorpette? Is she off pacing & ranting somewhere?

CurlyCasper · 30/08/2009 20:03

Lambs healthy and safe - or served for lunch. Nought else. Lovely bunch of haw-de-haws. saying no more. talking like robot. must stop.

CurlyCasper · 30/08/2009 20:10

did you study in wales then ski?

skihorse · 30/08/2009 20:13

I did - with a very special brand of "that type" ... as you can imagine!

Scorpette · 30/08/2009 22:23

I be here! Have spent day en famille, meeting my brother's new (skinny, gorgeous, perky, 22-yr old - he's 33) girlfriend, with no way of getting online. Am now watching Wuthering Heights and jonesing for my MN fix.

But now I am here, can I beg of you an indulgence for my 2WOOFLing? Because if I'm not updiffed with all the bloody symptoms I've been having then I'm going to sue my own body for false advertising and mental cruelty. So please, could people tell me what they think of these:

  1. 'Pink stuff' and womby flutterings and pangs at the exact time implantation would occur.
  2. Breasts became sore at same time as that - usually get mastalgia after OV, but it is always agonising stabbing pain in left nip and nothing else. Now both breasts are really tender (although left breast is slightly more painful, but it is slightly bigger) and is nothing like usual mastalgia.
  3. OPK test showed positive on day 21 and day 22 of cycle. Have never OVed so late before (although, of course, have never done test in past) and as ski pointed out to me, positive OPK tests can flag updiff.
  4. If this was ovulation, then the breast pain started 2 whole days before it. But mastalgia can only be triggered by the hormones 'n' ting that are released after ovulation or after implantation. So if I was ovulating, how come I got mastalgia before the hormones that create it were present?
  5. Have woken up for last 3 days feeling a bit sick (though haven't spewed) and v. hungry.
  6. Today, have been feeling as sick as a dog, really tired and nauseous and off my food. I haven't eaten anything different from usual or skipped meals/eaten more/eaten less calories, etc., so there is nothing to explain it.
  7. Have also been having really strong muscle contractions in my womb; and in the centre of my womb (as I've said before - all my pains and sensations regarding menstruation are only ever on the left). These contractions and the sickness feel like when I feel awful when it's my worst day of period pains, but without the pain and without any period (there's defo no sign of any blood whatsoever, so not R2D2 turning up early).

Things against:
1)am worried that if I am updiffed, have somehow dislodged it (ie ended it) by doing lots of arm weights at the gym yesterday.
2) Did an OPK test today and it was negative. So was I OVing late or am I pg but for some reason the test gave a neg for some reason? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!

Don't bother punching me, I am stabbing myself in the eyes with a fork as I type.

So what do people think? Some of those could just be wishful thinking or coincidences, but the nausea, fatigue and weird painless central-womb cramping are weird and powerful enough that if I wasn't TTC, I'd be really worried about my health.

Help me, I'm going mad(der than ever)!

PS ski I've already got that calendar pre-ordered! I once got a picture put up on cuteoverload - what an accolade!

Scorpette · 30/08/2009 22:34

Sorry, that was a tad long. Think of it as being all the posts I might've made throughout the whole day put together

skihorse · 31/08/2009 08:00

Scorpette Dislodging it through "arm weights"? I'm not even going to give you a sensible response to that, but do mind your typing - or put thimbles on.

You do have a very positive list of symptoms - when's the earliest you can test?

Ponymum · 31/08/2009 09:35

scorpette I agree, quite an impressive list. How many days until you can test? There is no point me saying 'don't get your hopes too high' as it makes absolutely no difference to whether you actually are or not (despite the fact that I always think it will jinx it somehow - not very scientific ).

I have a confession. I told myself I would wait until Wednesday before doing a test. But last night I recounted the length of my last cycle and decided that theoretically it was possible that my period was due today. So I did a test this morning. It was negative. I should have known it would be, because I recently found out a whole lot of stuff about ovulation which made me realise that we probably mis-timed things this month. (Long boring story...)

Scorpette · 31/08/2009 11:09

ski - look, I'm a 2WOOFLing maniac: I'll prolly be convincing myself I can't be pg if a black cat runs in front of me! The arm weights do make me strain and puff and pant a lot and could feel the strain on my pelvic girdle, that's all I meant. I realise women toil in fields doing heavy manual labour and it doesn't effect their pgs, but I am a dewwicate fwower...

R2D2 due Fri/Sat. I do have one of those 'test up to 6 days early' tests, but am loathe to do it in case it jinxes things (see? I'm mad). I'm going to try and wait until it's due (s'yeah, right will I!).

Poor pony But if it was only 'theoretically possible that it was due today', it might be theoretically possible you tested too early. So you could have 2 whole days of headfuck, if you want to POAS on Wed or Thurs. We mis-timed SWI around ov last month and it really does make you

Still feeling nauseous, can't stop needing a wee and can't sleep. Is it too early to pretend my vile lady-gut is actually a baby bump? After all, my future offspring will clearly be v advanced...

Happy Bank Holiday, one and all

Cosmosis · 31/08/2009 11:47

Oooh scorps, that all sounds like mucho signs of updiffedness!!! When can you poas??

Ponymum · 31/08/2009 12:35

'2 whole days of headfuck'? Thanks, scorp.

Scorpette · 31/08/2009 13:09
