Cosmosis · 19/08/2009 13:38

I have changed my facecrack photo to the sexiest one of me ever taken, specially to make you all in awe of me.

Cosmosis · 19/08/2009 14:18

Wonders if she's scared everyone off because of the sheer glamour of her.

iggypiggy · 19/08/2009 14:27

cosmosis I love your FB pic - just so damn sexy...

now must not talk any more of facebum in case gin or others get upset... I just love looking at the pics

Is anyone apart from ski anywhere close to a date of RTOD / Updiffedness?

Cosmosis · 19/08/2009 14:29

Not me. I am CD9, temping religiously and trying to work out if I will manage to squeeze any eggs out.

iggypiggy · 19/08/2009 14:38

I can't be doing with the temping thing... sounds like too much maths for my tiny mind... Am only CD5 (yawn) but have been practicing SWI early this month...

I did opk things last month for first time - didn't work - but will try again this month... Have realised it is almost exactly one year since binning contraception...

Cosmosis · 19/08/2009 14:54

no maths at all, just blearily stare at thermometer and write it down.

skihorse · 19/08/2009 14:54

Who was our Health & Safety expert? I'm sorry I forgot which one of you it was - there is a thread on the Pregnancy section right up your alley if you're reading.

skihorse · 19/08/2009 14:56

iggy I tried OPK kits - 32 euros I'll never see again and not once did I get a positive indication. I got all the "listen to your body" stuff so I never bought another packet.

iggypiggy · 19/08/2009 14:57

I have applied for 2 new jobs... that's gotta help the updiffness along surely?!

iggypiggy · 19/08/2009 14:58

ski well the time I did manage to get PG - it was def obvious that it was right time for SWI - so suspect you right...

skihorse · 19/08/2009 14:59

iggy Booking an expensive holiday to Thailand I believe is also an aid to successful conception.

Bessie123 · 19/08/2009 15:05

If anyone has their judgeypants on there is quite a funny fight developing on a parenting thread

here

Bessie123 · 19/08/2009 15:13

ah, false alarm. The 'how dare you?' poster has gone.

VeryAngryGusset · 19/08/2009 15:48

ski - I booked an expensive trip to Thailand months ago and still no diff. It appears not to be a failsafe technique. Buying expensive tight jeans did not help either.

iggy - I'm on CD - er - 26 - but have longish cycles so no idea when RTOD due. Prob my birthday weekend when DH taking me away for a surprise mini-break.

iggypiggy · 19/08/2009 17:10

RTOD should be banned from birthdays VAG

Am v. fucking cross. Have just realised that bloke away at wedding on crucial days I need him... is conspiracy I tell you...

Scorpette · 19/08/2009 17:52

Ski so you got no positive result with your opk tests, hmmm? I ain't either so far - perhaps they don't detect the very special BESH hormones we're all churning out? I have read that they will give some folk a neg result every time - fingers crossed that's me.

Is it wrong to keep eating lots of eggs in a superstitious bid to eggify my own ovaries?

Talking of wrong moments to get updiffed, TYF has just had bad hob news - works for v small company and their major client has just gone bankrupt. No talk of redundancies or owt yet, but he's panicking. Surely the badtimingness guarantees me triplets at the very least?

Poor iggy - can you not ask the bride and groom to change the date?

Scorpette · 19/08/2009 17:53

TYF had bad JOB news, not bad hob news - I don't think the state of the top of a cooker would affect my fertility either way.

skihorse · 19/08/2009 18:00

Scorpette eggs are not such a bad idea at all - particularly if you're buying from a farm. They're full of omega-3 which contains those oh-so-needed B-vits (folic acid).

I never got a positive with the OPK kits - I did pee over my fingers a few times though.

I'm sorry to hear about TYF. My company announced 27 billion dollar profits for this quarter... - they still want to cut wages/make redundancies though.

Scorpette · 19/08/2009 18:16

Well, his Dad is the Chairman (nepotism ahoy!), so I keep telling him that if anyone's job's safe, then his is, but he can't stop fretting. I keep valiantly pushing images of being 37 and living at home with my parents and my boyfriend and baybee out of my head. I might earn cash by pretending to be a teenmum and going on loads of documentaries if that happens.

But not Jeremy Kyle. I can't see things ever getting that desperate.

Cosmosis · 19/08/2009 18:44

Bad news on the hob front Scorps, fingers crossed for him. Manly slap on the back to you.

Scorpette · 19/08/2009 19:54

Oh, it gets worse. He won't even have sex with me now, as he is 'too tired'. No-one has a right to say they're tired when they're 27! Even if they get up at 7am to cycle to work and work from 9-6 without any real dinner break and there's loads of stress and worry, etc.

Won't somebody think of the (future, potential) children?!

SkaterGrrrrl · 19/08/2009 22:04

Evening gin hounds.

I really need to stop boozing (IRL) if I am ever going to sprog!

Scorpette · 19/08/2009 23:26

Skater you old lush! Are you going to join the facefuck big beshy lezzy love-in(TM)?

Gah, I just read that you shouldn't do OPK tests first thing in the morning - which is when I've been doing 'em. Should be in the avo, which is shit, as I couldn't do one at work nor at the gym (which is where I can be found most non-worky avos... so why am I still such a lardarse? ).

Sorry, I accidentally did some proper conception chat there. Will punch self in face

laurielou · 20/08/2009 08:14

Morning,

I too failed at the opk mallarkey. Think in my eagerness I started a bit too early in my cycle, so showed negatives. Then buggared up the last two - probably peed on hands too (at least its good for the skin), & got a big fat nothing.

That's when I decided to try the temping, which isn't exactly proving successful either. Its only my second month but there is nothing resembling any kind of pattern at all! Temps are up and down like a whore's drawers!

The Thailand trick hasn't worked for me either. Booked a while ago for October, still no updiffedness.

Have been for 21 days bloods (except it was on day 26 or something coz cycles mental). Due to my work & selfish GP being on hols haven't managed to get the results yet. (Talk about delay tactics).

What the hell do we have to do????

(Oh yeah, rampant SWI probably helps).

The boyf & I are talking again, yey.

Think that's me!!!

laurielou · 20/08/2009 08:16

Sorry, how selfish of me - fingers crossed on the job front for TYF, scorp
