Neeko · 03/09/2009 21:18

Aww Jools Must be the hormones. That plus the increased appetite makes for some very convincing symptom spotting

Joolsiam · 03/09/2009 21:25

I AM NOT SYMPTOM SPOTTING
I AM NOT SYMPTOM SPOTTING
I AM NOT SYMPTOM SPOTTING ............MUCH

Evening lovelies!
Just read through for catch up as havent been on since Tuesday.
So so pleased for good scan outcomes for 4ever Barbie and Neeko

Moon-Lovely to see you hun, hope you keeping okay?

LBM-Was thinking of you on your lost angel,s EDD, hope you okay.

mermaid-Does it feel really liberating to be pant-less? I love my dressing gown too, its bright pink and fluffy from M&S. I look like a big bear in it, its sooo comfy.

Buddha-Hows it going? Is bump coming along nicely?

Jools-OOH lots of promising symptoms, especially the hunger!! I could have eaten my arms off at the beginning, i was always hungry.

MLS-I was literally ROFL at the thought of you patting your nipples 'like two obedient puppies'
Glad DH is going to scan with you now.

Neeko-Sorry i didnt get chance to come on yesterday and wish you well for today, im so over the moon that all is good. A step closer to wearing those big pants!

4ever-Glad scan showed up no problems, so relieved for you. Will be holding your hand next week on both the 8th and 11th. I know how you feel about your Dad not being here, as i feel the same about my Dad
Sending big hugs and virtual chocolate cake.

Gracie-You certainly know how to keep us on the edge of our seats, goodness me!
What a scare re the bleeding, glad youve been to get it checked out, piles are awful!
So sorry to hear about your friends mother, how very sad.
Hope you got through your EDD okay today X

iggy-Lovely to see you popping in, been thinking bout you.

BakingQueen-Fingers crossed for OV soon. Heres to lots of productive BD

Blue-You really make me laugh with the things you come out with, like 'im an expert on piles' and your sexy as an old welly comment about yourself.
Like your plan of taking off every Wednesday, are you working 5 days a week?

lion and sabs-the race is on, who is next to pop? As MLS says statistically first babies are usually late but my DS was a week early.

Barbie-Lovely to see you in big pants!! you are another one who keeps us on the edge of our seats! My heart was in my mouth reading about your heavy bleed and pains, really glad all is well with you and barbiebean

Big waves to mmVJayCurlyFifi

Appt at docs tomorrow, need to get Gaviscon for heartburn, kicked in big time!

4everhopeful · 04/09/2009 09:41

Morning lovely ladies...

So relieved for Neeko having a lively wriggler! Totally relate to the fear you felt pre scan, sadly thats the worst bit of prev mc & its very very normal, but hopefully you are nicely reassured now! Only 2 more weeks til next scan, must of been lovely seeing little fingers & toes! Your MW sounds lovely so thats gotta help lots...! Thanks for the texts yesterday too hon xxx

Barbiebigpants free of the chickensuit! YAY! (pmsl at that link!) Was thinking of you all day yesterday & had those thoughts passed on to each other via tx & MN so that was nice! Naughty lady not sharing your worries with us (prob cos I was bleeting on ) Main thing is thank god you & beanie are ok - these blummin low placentas have blighted so many friends pgs it must be a real worry.. Glad you are getting checked out but after what we been through panic attacks arent that strange really.. Stay in that zen like state as much as poss! xxxx

Gracie hon, how was it for you yesterday - what did you end up doing in the end? Hope you had a calming peaceful time & your growing bump helped you feel able to look forward as well as back... I was really thinking about you alot yesterday.. Holding your hand from afar as I said

Thanks to the lovely Mermaid for keeping an extra eye out xx I saw your neck of the woods on the telly this morning & im very it looks so beautiful! Hope working with DH is going good! I know your knickerless now (you hussy!! ) but Im sure you & DH could find ways to 'enjoy' your lunchtimes - there must be 'bonuses' to working together!

Blue your docs sound so lovely, what a good letter - honestly my experience of the NHS has been bloody great too, we are so lucky arent we?! You made me laugh with the satin big pants - also conjured up images of old auntys! Big hug to you xx

Jools have you got any food left in your house or have you ravished it all you non symptom spotter you! You carry on girl! You dont have to go elsewhere to do it! As you said we can multitask!

Big waves & hugs also to the very lovely Curly, MLS, MM, Sabs, LBM, Fifi & anyone else I may have missed - thank you for all your concern & well wishes yesterday it really means so much to me! Im a bit at my weebly wobbling on weds, tbh worried about all kinds of awful things inc cancer due to my stupendously heavy/clotty AF & lack of BFP but thankfully scan showed a perfect looking uterus/endemitrium/tubes/ovaries & that Im about to ov from my right side in a day or 2! No physical reason why Im not getting pg as have before, so just relax & be patient! As for Af no physical reason (polyps/pcos etc) just prob body adjusting.. My last explaratory scan was feb so v reassured nothing horrids happened in last few months.. Went off for a massage in the afternoon so am finally able to start relaxing - no treatment timeframe, no work pressure, no underlying problem - All checked off - PHEW! Maybe now we might be able to make this baby!!!

Another good day for us all in Emmsyland

4everhopeful · 04/09/2009 09:48

Ooh big hug to the lovely Annie too xxx Know you miss your dad like mad as well.. thanks honey xxx Yum to the choccy cake Also big HI to Iggyimnotreallyhere xxx and big wave to Bakingqueenonbdmission Oh yea hug for Buddhabigbump too! xx

Am I done? Think so...! xxxx

mermaidspurse · 04/09/2009 09:58

maybe you should go with barbies8 advice and have some reflexology 4ever? vjay if you are home hope that you are all beaming, sitting on a rubber ring and remembering to take some arnica, give oiptimus* a big cuddle from usxx

barbiebigpants · 04/09/2009 10:14

good morning!!!

mermaid you read my mind as i was just going to post re reflex!

4ever when my af didnt arrive after 8 month or so i had a scan and everything looked fine, and like you i was due to ovulate within the next few days...5 months later after a course of reflex i had bfp Did they tell you how many follicles they saw?

mermaid heard the weather leaves a lot to be desired in the westcountry...can you maybe blow some clouds over towards the gulf????? please....

barbiebigpants · 04/09/2009 10:16

less then 100 post then we have to relocate again...lets have a joint input on our new address

welcome to weeble land....

4everhopeful · 04/09/2009 10:19

Do I sound manic this morning then Mermaid?! Ive thought about reflexology, prefer it to the idea of hypnotherapy which new manager has offered

barbiebigpants · 04/09/2009 10:23

4ever can you enquire to a local night school/ college or something. A friend of mine a few years back had to submit 4 case studies for reflex and she offered free sessions to anyone who offered an hour of their time every week...

4everhopeful · 04/09/2009 10:25

X post Barbie - sounds good as it worked for you then! TBH half of me wants to switch off from 'trying' anything & just letting nature take its course after the stress of military style ttc of last few months.. Am just chillin til next yr now & whatever happens happens is my new mantra!

Wowsers 100 posts left?! New thread during the weekend then - yea welcome to weeble land - like it!

barbiebigpants · 04/09/2009 10:28

weebleville, where weebles wooble but dont fall down? im sure someone said that the other week

I understand about the not wanting to ttc....do as i did then....have a monthly pedicure with a 30 min reflex treatment added on and class it as you time, pamper session, whatever you want to call it...go out and get drunk every weekend, eat crap and just fall back in love with dh, forget the gym, spend lazy weekends with friends and before you know it a few months will pass and hopefully....well you know the rest!

4everhopeful · 04/09/2009 10:30

x post again! Funnily enough my new manager offered the hypno as shes studying at college, I like the idea of reflex, but having removed all oth pressures dunno if wanna embark on anything right now as tryin to step back & be 'relaxed' about it, rather than the desperation I was feeling a couple months weeks ago!

4everhopeful · 04/09/2009 10:40

A wise lady whos name I cant remember said something like that - oh it was you!!!
Yay - well sold hon! Pedicure with extra 30min reflex added sounds spot on! Im having fortnightly massages now (as inspired by Gracie) which is all part of 'me time' & relaxing/removing the deep rooted stress in me poor bones! Its the idea of 'doing something to help ttc' then stressing that 'nothings working' that i dont want! Pampering 'me' time is much more appealing! Now, can I come to Dubai & have you do it every 2wks??!? As for the rest, I eat crap most days, 2 glasses of wine & im blotto, dont do gym, & fall more in love with dh every day anyway!! (gush gush) Im pretty much there!

Joolsiam · 04/09/2009 10:46

Bah - twas me that told 4Ever she could wobble but weebles don't fall down

All this talk of relaxing stuff - I have a voucher for Champneys on the high st - every time I think I'll use it for a massage, I'm on a 2WW and think I shouldn't Maybe I should book it for when AF has departed ...

Do we still want Emmsys Angels in the thread title ? How about Emmsys in Weebleland - we may wobble but we don't fall down

Am in London today - going out in Smithfields later for a girlie meal, thanks to 50% off through Top Table

mermaidspurse · 04/09/2009 10:47

4ever no you don't sound at all manic sweetie, just know your fear of needles. Go with barbies suggestion of having a 'pedicure'. I was thinking about having some too, totally to beautify my pinkies honestly.
I am so glad that you have no trace of pcos etc cos I worried about heavy clotting af side effects etc. It must be a big weight off your mind. Definatley kicking back and relaxing with it all is deff the way to go. I reckon a 'pedicure' would just help you along the way!

barbie thanks to you I found a
hysterically giggling 8 year old bossing a chicken around this morning
Yep it has gone bang straight into autumn.

vjay ok is it Rolf? Herman? Aristotle?

mermaidspurse · 04/09/2009 10:50

jools you nearly managed a post with no mention of food get that massage booked cos you know the rule of sods law all too well.x

4everhopeful · 04/09/2009 11:02

Jools sorry to misquote honey! It was the lovely Barbie that did christen me as a weeble so got tad confused! I like the mention of angels still tho! Big waves to you Jools from souf of our town! Enjoy a scrummy cheap meal! My DH got me massage voucher for birthday in march & took me til august to use it for exact same reasons! Now I book pre ov, then 2wks later (which can either be cancelled or used to alleviate stress of BFN/PMT!)

Yea Mermaid pedicures the way to go! I like it! Lets all pamper our pinkies! No reaction to using your working with dh to your advantage then lady??! On another note, bless your ds, can just picture it, hysterically giggling children are the bestestest!

fifisboys · 04/09/2009 11:23

Neeko - So happy that your scan went well and you have seen your wriggler - I bet your so relieved now

Just a quick question about my cycle...im normally like clockwork, every 28/29 days and bleed for about 3. Af would have been due on 25th august if i hadn't been pg, and this is actually the date i started spotting, so should i class that as cd1..and would that still mean im due to ovulate in the next few days or will that all be wrong now?
Just that when i had my mc, i bled really heavy for 2 days then it was really light and just like my normal period.

We are so desperate to start ttc straight away and i dont know if i can wait until i have my 1st af even though i know theres still a chance that im not fertile and will still get af in next few weeks.

Hello to everyone, sorry still haven't caught up with you all yet..will try and do it later when ds's have there nap

mermaidspurse · 04/09/2009 11:49

oh fifi you poor lady I am probably of the unpopular minority who say whoa stop right there young lady, get back on the sofa with choc, books, mindless tele wine etc. Rest, recover and grieve.
I know people say they are more fertile after a mc but to me it seems complelety at odds with what our bodies have just been through. We need to be in optimum condition to do such an important job of carrying a sticky bean and if unlike me your age is not against you it won't hurt to tary a wee while.

It is such a natural feeling though to want to replace that little bean I know.

I have had 4mc so sadly an old hand please don't under estimate the awful swing of hormones and emotions that a mc brings. Be really gentle on yourself let an af come and go and then launch into gourmet bd mode again

Joolsiam · 04/09/2009 11:52

fifisboys - there is no answer that fits everyone - some people ovulate again fairly quickly, others take a while to get back to "normal"

I would take the first day of bleeding as CD1 and would expect that ovulation may be slightly delayed, as I don't think your cycle can kick back in until all the HCG preg hormone is out of your system. However, bodies are complex things and can surprise us Keep an eye out for EWCM and if I was you, I'd TTC leisurely and with no pressure - BD every other day from days 10 - 20 perhaps, to cover a few bases ...

barbiebigpants · 04/09/2009 12:06

sorry fifi im the worse in the world to talk about periods, dont want to scare you but it might take up to 3 months to come back...i have to agree with mermaid take time to heal first...you might feel ok now but the bloody horror-mones might come back and bite you on the ass in the next few days/ weeks....
Im sorry that isnt a more positive post but i want you to be prepared and know that in all cases your body will just take as long as it needs to mend itself but we are here to help you on your journey xxx

Girls a question...i have a headache, very bad one at that! what can i take? i just went to get a 4head stick so i didnt have to take anything but they dont sell them here so i bought tiger balm instead which the guy packing my bags in the supermarket forgot to put in cant be assed to go back, head hurts too much...
any suggestions? my head feels like its too heavy for my body, having trouble sitting upright because it just falls to the side!
Hence being on here all day, only moved to go to the shop, feeling rotten and sick too. Its only just hit me im the only one here while all my family are in uk such a weird feeling being all on your own...
least you are here uh?
jools what have you eaten so far today???????? not encouraging your symtom spotting, honest!
