Shiny new thread for us

The race is on for the first BFP!

OP posts:

This is getting silly

I can't stop eating - seriously, I am RAVENOUS !

Yesterday, I had 2 pieces of cold pizza for breakfast , a ham sandwich mid morning, a cereal bar, then ending up eating a noodle dish at around 3pm as I was so hungry. Had another cheese sandwich before I went out, bought a big choccie bar to have on the way and was then too hungry to go to bed at midnight so had to have another sandwich - only thing in the house to eat !

So far today, I've had a bowl of All Bran, a packet of low fat crisps, a cereal bar, a banana and I had my lunchtime sandwiches at 11am. I am starving hungry still and so bloated that it feels like I've got a beach ball for an abdomen Is this a symptom ?

MummyLovesSadie · 03/09/2009 12:30

Jools so glad you are symptom spotting on this thread Here is what I've just googled:

In addition to spotting and breast tenderness there are a few other first symptoms of pregnancy. One of those is hunger. Some women report feeling extremely hungry without being able to get full, while others say they just felt a little hungrier than usual.

Barbie phew.... and relax! Hopefully you can get comfy in your big pants & start to relax now. Do you think the chicken suit will fit me?

4ever any news yet? I can't remember if you told us what time your scan was.

GG how are you feeling today?

Blue are your bathrooms sparkly & show-house clean now? Thursday is always my cleaning day so I was doing the same as you this morning. Bet you didn't have to hoover up a tarantula-type spider though

Getting really excited about Neeko's scan. I have butterflies in my tummy & everything. She'll be in there in a couple of hours, I bet she has jelly legs right now. I have surgically attached my phone to my hand for news. God know what I'll be like next Thursday, I think I'll probably barf with nerves.

Sorry 4ever - missed your good news earlier. You must be v. relieved. Did they have a good chat with you about everything? Hope youy left feeling positive and looking forward to being a Mummy .

Also double sorry to Gracie - I forgot to note the significance of today . Hope you and your DH managed to let the balloon float away...

Neeko - you'll be happily knackered tonight after the stress of the last few days. You WILL be watching Grey's come January balancing your cuppa on your bump .

I had quick visit to Docs this afternoon to get my industrial size Gaviscon for my heartburn. I asked about continuing to take asprin and Doc advised I could stop. In the course of the discussion she showed me the orignal letter from consultant who did my ERPC on NY day and who agreed to see me even though I'd 'only' had 2 mc and the letter made me well up as he was so kind, saying how distressed i'd been and he had offered investigations or for me just to try again and I'd opted for plan b. He finished off my requesting that I was early scanned and given extra attention next time round which I was so, NHS, I salute you!

That was a bit of a me, me paragraph - eek just wanted to write it down...

mermaidspurse · 03/09/2009 19:05

blue it is so lovely to think of you all big and blooming in contrast back to that dark time. And lovely too that consultants appart from their golfing abilities are also kind and caring.
Hope your heartburn improves. By the way should you not also be in big pants by the way?

barbiebigpants · 03/09/2009 19:11

in memory of my chicken suit

well mls and i found it funny!

bluesatinsash · 03/09/2009 19:21

LOL at the chicken suit barbie - especially loving the claws .

What a touching post Mermaid, you always say the kindest things. You know me, I'm beyond supersticious and last time I changed my name was when we all did at Xmas and I mc soon after. I'm also on another long running thread and didn't want them wondering who I was but I am definately bluesatinbigpants in my heart (the thought of me in satin pants just now - scare the pigeons stuff!).

barbiebigpants · 03/09/2009 19:25

Grin
mm1509 · 03/09/2009 20:29

Just checked out the chicken link with DD, both of us POSL, classic.

blue I got the biggest bottle of gaviscon ever from the docs last week, not complaining as I needed it way earlier with DD so not bad if I have got till now without it. Love the story of your GP, mine is pretty similar in making sure I got extra care this time and putting all my care through the consultant. We never get to hear enough about the good stories regarding the nhs, puts a smile on your face.

Waves to everyone tonight, the end of another lovely day on here xx .

Neeko · 03/09/2009 20:43

Hi everyone. A very relieved and smiley Neeko here. I was so convinced that it was all over for me today and when we entered EPAS the lovely midwife who dealt with me during ERPC and at last scan came rushing up and said "Hi! How are you?" I'm to admit that I burst into tears! I was ushered into a quiet room and she was so lovely to me but wouldn't comment on the boob issue (obviously)
Within a couple of minutes they called us through and the sonographer was the same woman who scanned me at the MMC. That didn't help my nerves.
As soon as she started scanning I saw my bean wriggling and dancing! It was amazing and neither of us could believe how much he/she had grown in 2 weeks. I was sobbing - again
The sonographer was very happy with Wriggler (as my DH has named the baby) and I'm still measuring a week in advance of my dates. The baby is 44mm (the size of my pinkie) and apparently that makes me 11+2. I've been advised to accept that date and be happy that it means I'm a week closer to the "safe" period.
The sonographer said I probably wont be scanned in two weeks at my booking in appointment, but the lovely, lovely MW caught up with us on the way out and said I've to insist on it and they'll do it.

Thanks sooo much for all your advice and support and special thanks to those of you who sent texts today. I'd never have got through this without you all and it all means so much..

Barbie So pleased all is well with you, but a little that you didn't mention bleeding. Loved the chicken though, so I'll forgive you

Really pleased about 4ever too. Must be a real relief.

As Bluewiththebigsatinpants said I'm exhausted but I'll be back on soon.

Love to all and sorry for the big story but felt I had to share

Joolsiam · 03/09/2009 21:01

I'm sobbing now

Love, love, love hearing happy scan stories
