Really glad you are feeling better but why can't they just give you a little scan, can't you sneak in there? i bet you and kate could manage it between you

mls thank goodness for the lovely drs in times of crisis. how on earth are you going to manage with rellys to look after? Please don't rush around too much and be gentle on yourself.x

Have a good evening everyone.xxx

MrsKate · 03/07/2009 20:41

mermiad i wish i could sneak a scan for gracie . il steal the scanner from resus Gracie do you think they will miss it .

mermaidspurse · 03/07/2009 20:48

MrsKate · 03/07/2009 20:50

GracieGirl · 03/07/2009 20:56

MrsKate I can just imagine you and Scully nicking the scanner for me!! and then trying to figure out how to use it. (Scully sounds like she should be on here with a nickname like that!)

Mermaid I'll help with Pom poms!

Moon how lovely of your assistant. Sometimes it is nice to share our bad news so people can look out for us.

Only 2 weeks, 6 days, 11 hours and 4 minutes till my 12 week NHS scan! Not that I'm keeping count or anything!

mermaidspurse · 03/07/2009 20:57

opps sorry kate I got distracted by reading about ped eggs
well I am glad your lovely shiny new dh was considering your feelings and letting you sleep. My distinctly tarnished dh is snoring on the sofa I think the tennis exhausted him!

VJaybigpants · 03/07/2009 21:03

I remember making poms poms, me and my sister used to make loads, I have no idea where they ended up

OP posts:
MrsKate · 03/07/2009 21:32

mermiad that was an excuse i think tho but it was nice to sleep xx

Joolsiam · 03/07/2009 23:11

Gaaaaahhhhhh MEN

apparently watching a Dirty Harry movie is more enticing than BD

Jools wanders off to fill her glass of rose and muse on the failings of mankind whilst waiting for the film to end - fat chance I'll be awake at 12.50 - grrrrrrrrrrrrr

BlueMoon1981 · 03/07/2009 23:27

GracieGirl · 04/07/2009 00:12

Evening all! My DH is drunk at the neighbours too. I came home cos I got the pain again.

mermaidspurse · 04/07/2009 07:41

happy birthday neeko have a fabby day.

Looks like it was the night of the awol dhs

jools stamping my foot on your behalf.

gracie I was hoping your pain was ebbing when do you have to go back to work?

hopingalways · 04/07/2009 07:47

honestly dh's and Friday nights, do they not understand that when it's "the night" wanting a beer instead is just not on...

now I am sure AF is on her way after dh decided beer=better than sex the entire time I was OVing this month, now he's interested again. grr. I can recommend not confiscating beer though in these circumstances...led to tit for tat rose confiscation and no bding

gracie sorry to hear you're still in pain, but glad to see you're not pacing round the emmsys lounge late at night. still crossing my fingers to you for graduation to big pants!

mermaidspurse · 04/07/2009 08:00

someone please slap me

metallic taste
feel dizzy, light headed
feel sick
lots of saliva [yuk] why can't we have a yuk face mn towers?

I have a bug haven't I?

anniebigpants · 04/07/2009 08:37

mermaid. Dont want to get your hopes up but had first 2 of these symptoms within days of me oving before i got my BFP.

hopingalways · 04/07/2009 08:54

happy bday Neeko is it your anniversary as well?

ooh fingers crossed mermaid - if you're looking for reasons to stay calm during the 2ww, it could be the heat affecting your sleep and leaving you dehydrated...have a nice big glass of water and see how you feel

Curlywurlee · 04/07/2009 09:10

Ooh mermaid that's promising Is is around implantation time do you think? that's when I got strongest symptoms, then they went all quiet till AF time, then BFP!! Oh sorry forgot to slap you, silly me... WHACK!!!

I'm off to catch up with you ladies... back in a sec (make that an hour, I know what you're like )

GracieGirl · 04/07/2009 10:02

Morning ladies!

Mermaid I would go with a large glass of water anyway, you need to keep rehydrated if you're brewing a BFP!

Happy birthday Neeko!!!

I'm not sure about work, I probably should go back. My sick note runs out on wednesday. A bit scared that my heavily pregnant colleague has started her mat leave early due to looking after a patient who turned out to have a confirmed case of swine flu. She's now supposed to be taking Tamiflu (I've just checked the website, it says not recomended for pregnant women as they don't know the effects on the fetus at any stage in pregancy). The trouble with A&E is patients don't come in with labels on with what nasty things you might catch from them, you find out after you've already been exposed. I'm sure swine flu is no worse then the average sort of flu at the minute but I don't particularly want to volunteer for it! I need to stop getting stressed out, its my job, if my pain stops then I have to go back.

mermaidspurse · 04/07/2009 10:53

thanks for the whack and advice on the water girls. I expect that is what it is - I am day 20 I think and my cycle is usually about 25 days.
gracie your poor friend I so, so hope that all goes ok for her. I guess it really brings home how in the front line you are in with your work. I think you should stay home in your cotton wall ball.x

cupcakefairy · 04/07/2009 12:28

Morning everyone

mermaid I'm not going to slap you...that does sound pretty promising So jealous of your 25 day cycle! I have to wait flipping ages ...hmph.

4ever as IF you should shut up!?? I read every word too and we all have the odd ramble here

moon that's sooo sweet about the jewellery thing, bless her. Glad it ended your working week nicely

Happy birthday neeko!

MLS hope things go ok with the relatives and so glad you had a lovely doc! Totally makes all the difference. Happy birthay to you too! (not sure when the actual day is...?)

gracie rubbish that the pain is back... but if it is a symptom then maybe you are feeling a teensy bit relieved too?

Hi Curly it was you who posted that long list of herbs before wasn't it? Just getting paranoid about all these herbal teas and whether they're safe. The general Google consenses seems to be that everything in moderation is fine...?

Also, does anyone know what the official line on peanuts is? Cos I adore peanut butter, have it on/in everything... dh thinks if I stopped it completely it could be more harmful than just having a little bit now and then (cos it's in my system so much naturally anyway...)

I'm asking all this cos my DH said this morning that he thinks my pregnancy boobs are back ...desperately trying not to get hopes up though!

bluesatinsash · 04/07/2009 14:11

cupcake - I love peanut butter too and didn't give it up with DS or this time (Although ms so bad that I've not been eating much at all). I also drink herbal green tea etc. but the de-caff version.

mermaid - but (whisper) looking promising ...

Gracie - I think you should stay off until your 2 weeks 6 days 8 hours scan, as you say you could be exposed to anything in A&E. Know this might not be practical but surely its better for your work to have you fighting back to work at 12 weeks than crawling back just now all worried and stressed . One of the few perks for working for NHS is excellent sick leave so use it!

Hoping - read the knitting pattern, you may as well ask me to build the Titanic it looks just as hard! Hope your clattering away. BTW my family all have big heads so hope the hats are stretchy .

VJaybigpants · 04/07/2009 14:18

cupcake I too love peanut butter but I stopped eating it when I got pregnant. I think that if you have asthmatics (sp?) in your family then don't eat peanuts, and my MIL is asthmatic....how do you spell that .

mermaid sounds promising and I'm against all violence so won't slap you

blue you all have big heads?

graice I agree with blue, stay off until after your scan, then go back and get a full risk assessment done before your shift starts.
