Hi All,

Hope you like our new home!

i've been away but came back yesterday, logged back on this afternoon and saw your news jools

i'm so sorry to hear this. you sound like you're dealing really well with it though. i was referred to a recurrent miscarriage clinic and found it so reassuring and glad to hear your gp is going to do the same for you. i didn't stop trying whilst waiting for appointment or in the midst of all the tests and wasn't told to - in fact they said keep going. it will probably be a few months until you see someone and it then takes about 6 weeks to hear back if there is anything up or not. so i agree you shouldn't waste the next few months not trying.

hi to everyone else. iggy - good to see you are back ttc. I hope for you, and everyone else, these sunny spring days are v lucky for you. i'll continue to pop in to keep a close eye and to watch the BFP's stack up!!

I've got my 12 week scan tomorrow (though will be 11 weeks 2 days). I'm feeling quite confident as I've now had three good scans with good baby growth and a strong heartbeat. It's been a long, long journey to get to this point and I'm really starting to believe this one will happen for me. at least I'm hoping anyway, with all my heart!

love to all

so sorry jools.
Hope you enjoy your holiday.

good luck queenie

I have very sore boobs. Am not even convinced I have ovulated yet this month. What other reasons could there be for sore boobs pre ovulation. Am going to start thread about this too in case others can answer question. Hope everyone has a nice weekend.
xx

kittycatcat · 24/04/2009 16:52

Good luck queenie

Have a good hol Jules

funtimewincies · 24/04/2009 19:07

Jools - sorry to hear that it's not to be. We weren't warned not to try while the mcs were being investigated. Just as well as it took 4 months to get an appointment and another month to get the first results back. If you feel up for it, keep trying. Lots of wine is a good idea and enjoy your holiday.

All the best for the scan Queenie.

wasabipeanut · 25/04/2009 15:56

Jools I hope you are feeling ok today. I do understand what you mean about the hgormones and sense of smell. My sense of smell took ages to calm down after the mc. Its so cruel - all the symptoms of pregnancy and no pregnancy. I hope you have a lovely holiday and manage to put this behind you, as much as one ever can.

Queenie how did the scan go? Am sure all was well given previous good scans - you'll have to post a pic! As you say, its been a long journey for you and I'm so happy for you thats its finally come good.

Funtime how have you been? I am missing you here even though you pop in from time to time. I hope I get pg again soon so I can join you on an antenatal thread somewhere. I hope you sickness is starting to subside slightly - it sounds like you've had a quite a rough time of it.

Yellow not sure on the sore boobs. I get random pain there from time to time - I assume its all random hormonal niggliness. If there is anything more to it I'd be intrigued to know!

Happy Saturday everyone - enjoy the rest of the weekend.

C1NDY · 27/04/2009 08:34

hello all. happy monday!

jools hope you ok today? Enjoy your holiday. Is good to get away - I had three days away which was very good timing just after my MC. I think getting away from day to day life/ work is a good distraction.

Hope scan goes well queenie am missing you and funtime xx

yellow not sure about sore boobs... only usually get them before AF.

C1ndy hope AF comes soon for you. Not expecting mine until the middle of May really although don't really know - and for now we are not ttc. So maybe I should be here - but I like this thread!

yellowflowers · 27/04/2009 10:45

def still sore but capitulated on not temping and took temp today and was a def pre ovulation temp - I know nothing can be done in isolation but still, think maybe not ovulated yet. V sore boobs though.

queenie1 · 27/04/2009 11:05

Hi all - just to say scan went really well and that I'll be 12 weeks on Thursday. Doctor said that she basically believes I'm there with this one now so slowly starting to get my head round the fact that this one will probably work!! Me and DH are now going to start telling people which feels v weird but v exciting too.

Thanks for all your messages (and endless support). As I said the other day, I'll still keep popping in to keep an eye on your news. I feel too attached to you all not to!!

jools - hope you are feeling okay?

kittycatcat · 27/04/2009 11:22

Hello everyone [waves]

C1NDY · 27/04/2009 11:49

oh I am so pleased queenie - great stuff!

hope it sorts out cindy

C1NDY · 27/04/2009 14:22

Yellow you should be testing soon right? If you have sore boobs then it is always a good sign... especially if they are more sensitive than ever. Fingers and toes crossed!! not long to wait before you can test.

TMI ALERT - I keep having a few spots here and there of blood so perhaps AF will show soon. My body is normally like clockwork so I am hoping that it sorts itself out this week so that I can get the show on the road (so to speak). I may start trying in June now and goush, I don't think I can wait that long in till July... besides its not like I will get pg straightaway so no harm in having a practice run.

not sure cindy because am not even sure whether I have ovulated yet. I usually ovulate day 16 andhave a 30 day cycle and I am currently on day 22. But sometimes I have a 36-38 day cycle in which I'd be ovulating today or in next couple of days. Have not temped this month so I can relax for a bit having temped for previous 6 months to confirm ovulation (temping shows I do ovulate). Usually spot ewcm easily but only time I have had it this month has been cd 9 and 10 - possible early ovulation I guess but unlikely because have done occasional temps when woken up and did not really rise. In fact hasn't risen properly yet hence wondering if not ovulated yet.

yellowflowers · 27/04/2009 15:48

also last two times we had sex it hurt my cervix a bit - presumably this means cervix is low. does that mean anything?

wasabipeanut · 27/04/2009 19:18

Queenie thats such fabulous news about your scan. I'm so glad that you and your dh have started telling people and believing and enjoying this pregnancy.

Well AF arrived this morning good and proper. I knew it was coming. I had a brief spike of hope yesterday because my temp went up again yesterday morning but then it plummeted this morning and when I went to the loo - bright red bleeding. The upside of it is that I am back to my nice neat 28 day cycle with ov around CD15/16. No spotting or any of the wierdness that seemed to be occuring post mc.

The downside is its fricking painful and, get this - I've been feeling sick. I actually did a test today as I felt so nauseaus and I had this idea it might be an implantation bleed (ha ha ha). BFN of course. It seems that I am now so sensetive to hormone shifts that they make me feel sick. This would also explain why I felt a bit queasy last weekend - that was around the 21 day mark when progesterone must have been peaking. The mc seems to have left me more sensetive to hormone changes than ever. This means that any symptoms I can ever get post ov will be completely meaningless

funtimewincies · 27/04/2009 19:54

Congratulations Queenie and hope that you can now look forward to the rest of your pregnancy .

Wasabi - I used to get the same before AF, that queasy feeling which always got my hopes up. And yes, I didn't get that until I'd had the first mc . Hugs and choccy to you.

Ahh, thanks for missing me guys . I feel a bit of a party-pooper posting too often, as I've not got much to report. Still sick, but it's easing. Absolutely cream-crackered, but my mum has been a star in helping to look after ds for me on really bad days. I'm daring to be hopeful and I've got a dating scan next week (nearly 11 weeks by then) so I'm just trying to hang on my sanity.

Yellow - spare baby dust winging its way to you!

C1NDY · 28/04/2009 08:34

YellowFlowers I am no expert but a low lying cervix means that you have ovulated or are going to ovulate?. Normally when you are about to ovulate the cervix is higher but when you have ovulated it comes down, even if you may have conceived but then will raise again if your conception is successful. Well something like that. If you have loads of EWCM then you are at your most fertile stage? but sometimes you can mistake this when AF is about to arrive as I have loads of EWCM about a week before AF arrives phew this ttc larky is not easy. If you don?t test with ovulation sticks or taking a Basal reading how do ya know when to bd? or are you following the DP?? Or just checking CM? If you are on a 30 day cycle then try and bd early say on CD13 or CD14 and miss a day and bd and then miss a day? or even miss two days and bd, if you have to? to give you more chance. Also, if you don?t have EWCM then try preseed it helps the sperm to live longer. You should always speak to the doctor if sex hurts? does it hurt because you have been bding too much or that you are dry? If it is the latter than use a little preseed, it will make sex comfortable especially when all you want to do is get the process over and done with, rather than make love!

Wasabi Glad to hear cycle is back to normal, it makes charting easier? I hope mine arrives soon? I can?t wait to start plotting Cindy twiddles thumbs but I seem to have been waiting for like ever. I would get the sickness checked out by the doctor if it gets too painful, to ensure its not your thyroid glands? always good to get it checked unless you know for sure its your hormone?s
