Hi ladies,
Another busy day here sorting etc. Menial house tasks are never ending!
Bhudda Two weeks to go - woop! Try and look forward to it. I'm sure everything will be fine.
Bella I'd be willing to wait a bit more than a week for a sweep as I think they are more successful when you are overdue. I had one at 41 weeks but it didn't get labour going.
Scully It must be so bloody hard having the girls as well as a newborn. I don't know how I'll cope and I've only got 1DD to think about.
Cricri Glad to read that your friend is in good hands. Fingers crossed for them.

I've updated the list. Not sure if I've messed up anyone so feel free to correct. They'll soon be another two lovely newborn girls to celebrate.

Hi ladies, I too have been lurking a bit this week as just have time to keep up but not really to post.

N has been very unsettled from about 4am onwards for the last couple of weeks so I'm pretty knackered. Not sure if I'm pleased or disheartened that Sparkly and Fruity have early risers no matter what time they go to bed. Hoping it's just a bit of a phase...

Fruity What a nightmare with the bridesmaid's dresses! I'm sure you will get it sorted - even if it costs a packet! Keep us updated.

Cricri So sorry to hear about your friend. Thank goodness she's getting some good care, it must help her stay positive. I'm sure that e-mail would've been a hard one, words just don't seem sufficient but I'm sure you did brilliantly.

Mibbes How was the class. I'm doing post-natal yoga and I ached like mad the day after this week - I have never ached after yoga fgs! Just goes to show how much your body suffers.

On that note - Take it easy [scully]. I think 5 mins of swing pushing is quite enough. Remember you are a bit (whispers) older this time and you have 2 tearabouts already so it's bound to be a bit hairy to begin with. You'll get there. How is your lovely boy doing? Fantastic about the weight gain.

Piper OMG - girls - I bet DH is dreading the bathroom queue even now - pink central at your house then. So, we have 4 boys and 3 girls already, 4 more girls on the way and a boy so Mollie you need to even things up a bit for the blue corner. I can just imagine you with a little boy! (Noah and I are still chanting our positive song for you!)

Ei Can you cross out on titles - new thread sounds great - in fact perhaps we should get to it now as it might be lucky for you.

So, we are packed for our holiday. Who knew you would need so much for a week in the Cotswolds! Need to eat - what do you think - Fish & Chips or Stir Fry! No internet at our cottage but will probably log in at some point just to see if Bella has introduced Imogen - Good luck ......push and breathe!

ButterflEi · 24/07/2009 20:05

evenin ladies
hope all is well
teehee where abouts in the cotswolds are you going?? thats where we went last week camping (chipping norton) and it is a lovely part of england i reckon
bella not long to go my advice would be to put your feet up and dont take these last few days for granted as soon you will be a busy bee with your little lady
was it today or is it tomorrow you lot are meeting up?? i am still rather but DH is treating me to a nice meal out tomorrow night so i cant grumble
i am up to CD28 now and AF is due maybe monday or tuesday but who knows with my cycles i will prob hardly have an AF and be just as confused as last cycle ahh well... PMA all the way

mibbes · 24/07/2009 22:32

piper congrats on 2 girlies, how exciting !

Buddha you really shouldn't let cricri's friend's story worry you. Your little one will be just fine - PMA my dear xx

Sparkly why do you do all this housework ? You have the perfect excuse to relax !!

Exercise class was a cicruits class. I really enjoyed it as it was a positive reminder of what 'proper' exercise feels like. I am a bit that it has taken me so long but I have been pram walking several miles per week so not been entirely lazy. My muscles ache today though !!

Bella still here ?...

Lola where are you my dear ?

Ei good luck missus, do you feel positive this month ?

scully · 25/07/2009 02:44

Hilarious Fruity, you'll be giving your dp a run for his money soon, in the drinking stakes
I know you're over being pregnant Bella & really want to meet your dd, but as Ei said soon you'll be very busy & tired so try to put your feet up now, maybe a nice meal out with dh, somewhere you can't take a baby later
I managed some time outside yest with dd2 & then sat outside with ds1 when both dd's were outside playing. I want to increase our outside entertaining area & then it will be lovely to sit out there & watch them, when ds1 is still small.
Enjoy your meal out Ei, where are you going?
It's dh & my 11th wedding anniversary today, hard to believe that 11yrs ago we got married at Hammersmith Registry office, and 3 children later, we are living in Brisbane
We normally go out for dinner but really don't have the motivation to do that this year, so we're getting takeaway and will have a glass of wine at home. Apart from an occassional pizza, we don't eat much takeaway, so a nice treat. I'm thinking thai, dh will prob want chinese. Big decisions in our house this evening

SparklyPseudonym · 25/07/2009 09:08

Morning all,
Thought I'd pop in before getting the train.
Fruity Bet you're suffering this morning mwhahahahahaha!!
Scully Happy wedding anniversary. Hope you get your own way on the take away front .
Mibbes Is the exercising going to become a regular thing? The cleaning is my Mum's fault. I can't think in a mess - it really stresses me out.

Have a great weekend all...

Fruityjuice · 25/07/2009 10:48

ow, my head

scully · 25/07/2009 12:00

I'm with you Sparkly, I also can't function in a mess, although I think you have it worse than me
We got chinese, but dh said thai next time, funnily enough I enjoyed mine more than he did. Still nice not to cook and a nice treat as we rarely have takeaway or eat out for that matter.
I can hear your head pounding from here Fruity, hope dp has taken the boys out for the morning to let mummy recover
Enjoy your meet up today, I'm very Although I'm also quite tired and as it's 9pm here I'm off to bed very soon.

BellaHarry · 25/07/2009 13:55

Hi all. What was all that about fruity!! made me chuckle (and that takes some doing these days)

Just thought I'd let you know I'm still here. Unfortunatly DH and I are broke so although it would be lovely to enjoy meals out etc before baby, it can't be done.

mibbes · 25/07/2009 20:50

Fruity LMAO at your drunken posts GO GIRL !!

Bella pound the streets and walk that baby out !!

scully happy anniversary missus.

Where is Lola ? Hope you are ok love xx

scully · 26/07/2009 02:59

What a shame you can't get out for a meal Bella, but as Mibbes said, start walking, that's free
Our small boy slept from 8pm to 3.30am last night, including being moved from dh's lap to his basinette at 10pm, without waking up. 2nd time he's slept for a good length of time in the last week, and we can't even blame jaundice as it's all gone and he's eating like a master
Woke up frantic this morning, had wee'd everywhere and was starving
dh has taken the dd's bike riding, ds and I have peace for 10min, just enjoyed a sneaky piece of cake - have to eat it without the dd's seeing or they will want some as well
Love the new pics on FB Fruity, J is such a gorgeous boy

Fruityjuice · 26/07/2009 07:53

Oh lordy, I think I've finally recovered after another late night.

Went to the AbbeyFest round the corner from me with a bottle of wine. Ended up going on to a friend's house and getting completely floorboarded on two bottles of vino (I'm sure you could tell). I'm quite enjoying my thirties at the moment! I think I'm catching up for lost time
I love the way I couldn't spell simple words but managed to get Marlborough light spelt perfectly!

As I'm finally feeling compus mentus, I'm taking the older bridesmaids to Peter Jones to try on some dresses this afternoon

scully What a good boy you have there! Lets hope he keeps it up! Jack has so far. He's still sleeping through 'til 6am

Did everyone enjoy the meet-up? Who hadn't met before?

Teehee Have a great time in the Cotswolds. Where are you going? Anywhere near Friday Island?

HerNameWasLola · 26/07/2009 12:01

Hello lovely ladies! Sorry I haven't posted for so long, I seem to have had a very busy week last week, despite only working on friday. All good though, just very tired.

It was great to see Mollie, sparkly, L & Teehee & N yesterday We truly pushed the boundaries of how long it is possible to stay in a branch of Pizza Express without getting chucked out! L & N were both beautifully behaved, and I think Sparkly and I both now have car seat envy over Teehee's immaculate maxi cosi - not to mention holiday envy!!! The other ladies were all looking totally gorgeous, and were very kind about my big fat feet Really looking forward to the next meet up, just hope that if it's chez G in september I'm able to make it... Has any date been suggested yet? Today is officially one month til due date!! Am trying not to wish the time away, but am just so bloody uncomfortable Have been suffering really badly with a really itchy bump, only when it touches anything (clothes, towels, sheets etc) so I think it's a sensitivity thing rather than anything else. Kept me fully awake for 2 long nights... Ah well. Good practice I suppose, and was much better last night A friend of mine who lives just along the street had her baby on friday (!) Haven't heard a name yet, and can't wait to see them. It's taking all my self control not to go and stake out their house

I (foolishly?) weighed myself this morning. Had a few blissful moments when I somehow thought I'd "only" put on about 2 stone, then realised I'd lost the ability to count to 2 and it's actually a couple of pounds off 3 stone... Oh well. Not much I can do about it now. Though I will try to cut down on the cake from here on in... Would like to not put on more than another 4lbs as that'll take me to the next stone bracket. Should be doable? I think the average at this stage is 1lb per week? Seeing Teehee looking so trim with a 14 week old and hearing about Mibbes' good habits has given me a bit of extra incentive!

Scully glad to hear DS is behaving himself Love the fact that you're already referring to him as DS1, how many more DS's are you intending to have?!?!

Fruity I feel your pain! Really glad you're managing to get out and have some fun. Won't be long now til that's Italian fun either! () What a wonderful loaction for a hen do! Don't forget your credit card What's DP doing for his stag? I noticed the perfect spelling of marlborough light too - you were obviously concentrating hard!

Bella hope the time isn't dragging for you too much. Nearly there chick! So how does the x/5 engaged thing work then? Is 1/5 better than 3/5? I would have guessed to be the other way round... Just think, by this time next week you could have your LO

Sparkly, Mollie & Teehee it was so lovely to see you all yesterday. I think that's probably the most fun any of us will ever have in Swindon! (what a hole! ) Hope you have a lovely holiday Teehee, am very In fact I told DH and he was very too!

Georgie you all moved in now? Hope it wasn't too stressful for you, and that you haven't massively over done it (but I bet you have! ) Hope you're able to all have a quiet weekend together to start to recover

Ei fingers crossed TEW stays away and doen't mess you about this month as she has been doing You're right though, PMA is definitely the best thing you can do! Did you have a lovely holiday? Am I right in thinking it was you going to the air show? Hope it was fab Don't think it's possible to strike out words in thread titles, any other suggestions for the next one? It seems the crown is passing from Emmsy to you!!

Cricri A month in France!! Nuff said! So sorry to hear what your friend is going through. It must have been incredibly difficult to email her. Have you found any helpul info on mn for her? Glad it sounds like she's getting a good level of care.

Mibbes am seriously impressed by the circuit training! I think it would probably kill me atm!! What are your goals? Is it purely a toning thing or are you hoping to lose weight as well? Hope the soreness has now gone! Am hoping that LO will appear soon enough & the weather will hold out for long enough round here to allow me a reasonable crack at a pram tan in september Well, a girl can dream can't she

Piper 2 girls!! {grin] How lovely!! Definite 'explosion-in-a-barbie-factory' look coming to your house then!! Can we have some more bump pics please?? (she asked cheekily, not having posted any of her own )

Right. It's 12pm. Really think it's time to get dressed... Hope everyone's having a relaxing sunday

HerNameWasLola · 26/07/2009 12:02

How weird... are my emoticons showing up in odd places on top of words to everyone else, or is that just on my laptop...??

BuddhaBelly · 26/07/2009 13:34

Fruity Love the drunken posts and spelling Not surprised your head hurt yesterday morning, but glad you are enjoying yourself. Did you sort out anything about the bridesmaids dresses?
Bella I've tried to find you on FB but can't, maybe one of the girls could send you as a friend suggestion to me please?
TeeHee Hope you are having a fab time on holiday, and that the rest of your journey went ok, I have to say I was so impressed at how laid back and relaxed a new mum you are, I only hope I can be like that too
EI I have dusted off my pom poms and I will be doing the honourary "Stay away AF" song and dance just for you this weekend
Mibbes Well done on the exercising, made me feel tired just reading about it
Scully Love the new pics on FB, happy belated wedding anniversary for yesterday, good news that C is sleeping so well, hope it lasts
Lola I'd love to know where you have put on nearly 3 stone!!! You must have been a size 0 before getting pg then you have a gorgeous neat little bump and look so well hun, it was lovely to meet up and put the world to rights.
Sparkly L was the most well behaved little girl I have ever had the pleasure of spending a day with, she was just so content and undemanding all day, you should be so proud of her

DH has gone to the cinema to watch Harry Potter so I'm off to put my feet up on the sofa and ignore the housework

BuddhaBelly · 26/07/2009 13:37

Oh and Lola I think it's the laptop coz your emoticons look fine on the post

BellaHarry · 26/07/2009 14:29

Hi girls! Just checking in quickly from time to time, seem to be so distracted by the time I've read everyone's posts I've forgotten it all again; still I am reading, and careing x

BellaHarry · 26/07/2009 14:34

Should prob mention my progress quick; last 3 days have had strong, regular and painful contractions and back pain for a good 4 hours each day, well in the middle of a bout at the moment, clamy palms and all.

mibbes · 26/07/2009 20:58

OOh Bella surely it can't be much longer ?..

You lucky ladies meeting up - am very

scully what a wee star DS is sleeping for so long so soon ! It took DS ages to get to that stage ! Oh and I assume it was DS who woke covered in wee and not you

Buddha good on you taking time to relax, enjoy it while you can xx

and the award for longest post goes to Lola !! flipping blink woman - you certianly made up for your absence ! My exercise goal is to lose/tone up the belly area which still annoys me. I am almost half a stone lighter than pre-PG thanks to BFing and walking so quite happy with weight - I just cannot bear the jelly belly which is definitely worse after having a section - all of my c-section friends have the same dodgy belly problem , oh well that's the payback for a relatively easy birth . Oh and 1/5 means that the MW can only feel 1/5 of the head so 4/5 is engaged - I always found it confusing that they'd say 1/5 engaged but actually meant 4/5 was engaged...

BellaHarry · 27/07/2009 06:01

Aaagh! Woke up at 4:30am and can't get back to sleep! Been watching tv since 5:30 now

mibbes · 27/07/2009 07:52

Oh no poor you Bella , if it is any consolation I was up at 6am, woken by the babbling from the nursery da da da da ! Get used to the lack of sleep Any progress ...?
