PS. Have a go at this. It's so addictive. I've wasted two days on it .

BuddhaBelly · 18/07/2009 17:57

Georgie Hurray for you! I bet you are so relieved it's all over and done with. Welcome Flora Beatrix, hope you get on well with your little sisters x
Bella Share all, give us some more details on your "interesting" bits
Mibbes Sorry to hear ds was poorly on your hols, I can imagine how stressful it would have been with no way of getting hold of anyone. Glad he's a bit better
Scully I love the name Connor, it's a very strong name, sounds like you've got the feeding sorted now, hope your (.)(.) get better soon
Sparkly I'm confused I can't see the 4d pics on your profile?
TeeHee That dress is gorgeous, I can imagine you with flowers in your hair and lovely curly waves
EI If your lurking sweet hope your OK, come back soon as the end of your 2WW will be over
Fruity did you decide on a colour for the dresses after?

Big waves to Lola & CriCri

Well I hope your all impressed I actually went baby window shopping today, looked at pushchairs and nursery bedding at a local shop, may even go over to Babies R Us tomorrow as they have a big sale on, never know I might actually buy something Still feels unreal, like I'm shopping for someone else, can't imagine a baby actually in the pushchair

BellaHarry · 18/07/2009 19:35

Sparkly is it a hernia then? for sure?

Buddha Hope you have a fab time shopping tommorrow, I love it!

As for you questions: I don't think it could be considered a 'show' from what I've established that is grissly? It's just interesting in that it is different, I have had a week of very watery disharge and then today this thicker stuff kinda blob like but no blood or anything. Have had a low down back ache since 12pm today and lots of strong pressure on my pelvic floor; added to the more regular bh (every 5 mins when being monitored at hospital last night) it all just feels very 'different'. Baby's movements are slower too, but then I'm not sure I'd feel them as my belly is like a rock more than it's squishy today. I don't think anything will happen too soon, but I really do feel this is the very early stages? I have high blood pressure for the first time in my life, tests are negative for pre-eclampsia so I was thinking could this also be a sign? I'm due in 11 days.

HerNameWasLola · 18/07/2009 22:55

Bella the others will know far better than me, but I think there's a difference between a show and a 'bloody show', so still sounds to me like you may well have had the former!! How exciting! Doesn't sound like you'll be top of the list for too long! (Ohmygod just realised what's going to happen once Bella's not top of the list... )

Quick question, perineal massage.... I know I should be doing it but somehow I just can't bring myself to.... How many of you did it? (do I REALLY have to???) Lady I saw today said it was the thought of her bits looking like a dropped kebab afterwards if she didn't do it that finally spurred her on! Feel a bit sick now...

Sorry not to catch up properly with everyone, am shattered. Again. Bedtime now. Night all, sweet dreams xx

scully · 19/07/2009 02:33

Wow Bella sounds like it could be soon for you then
Big congrats Georgie great news & at least the labour was qiuck once it got started. Flora is a lovely name, prob shouldnt mention it's a brand of margarine here
Lola I never did the massage, never got around to it & the thought put me off, tbh
dh stayed up again last night and did the midnight feed, making such a difference to me being able to go to bed at 9.30pm and not wwake up until around 3am. dh has the choice of the Ashes or the British Open to watch as well, in the middle of the night
One thing I meant to mention yesterday and forgot to, any new mums who get sore nips should try and source these, or something like them over there. Wish I had known about them with the dd's. They are gel pads that you use with normal breast pads and really help the healing and you if you have broken the skin, you won't stick to them.
Hope you're all having a great weekend

BellaHarry · 19/07/2009 08:08

Lola uh huh, once I'm gone it's all on you! [Grin]

Still achey this morning, no real change, quite enjoying the feelingt though

SparklyPseudonym · 19/07/2009 14:08

Afternoon all,
Am killing some time whilst waiting for lunch to cook. Walked into town this am with DD to buy some clothes for one of her bears from The Bear Factory. Weather here is so miserable so we're going to have an afternoon in.
Bella Any further symptoms? Baby could be dropping down a lot and causing the pressure. It won't be long now. Do you know what you're going to call her? It's not def a hernia but have to keep an eye on it. No need to worry as long as it pops back in by itself.
Scully Sounds like you've got a great routine going. It must be amazing to have that much straight sleep with a newborn.
Lola I didn't do it either. I meant to but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Is it wheatgerm oil you're supposed to use?
Bhudda Have you made it to Babies R Us? Buy anything?

I'm shattered today and I slept really well last night . We need some sun!

teeheelaydee · 19/07/2009 14:25

Lola I admit I did do the massage - hated it but got used to it and timed 10mins max. Not very glamorous and obviously you don't have to BUT - I had no tearing or stitches, no idea if a coincidence but hey. Treated myself to this to make it more bearable and used the mothers balm.

Will catch up with the rest later - someone make me some lunch!

BellaHarry · 19/07/2009 14:34

sparkly hope it 'pops' back in then. I think she will be Imogen; other names include Lilly and Mia. Hope she looks like an Imogen .

Any more news from Georgie?

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 19/07/2009 17:26

Hi Ladies. Back home from hospital. Had to stay over night as Flo had meconium in her waters so they needed to monitor her. All OK now. Mollie and Libby already fighting over her!

Am feeling tired and my 'lady garden' is battered. But happy that it's all over. Will post grisy details tomorrow.

Thanks for all your lovely messages. Wow, I feel almost sane again!

She looks exactly the same as Libby, but has Mollie's body shape. Will post some pics tomorrow when DH uploaded them.

Busy week for us as we move on Wed/Thurs. But by this time next week we should be back in the new/old house. Then I can start getting this MN lunch organised! Lots of love to everyone. Will post more tomorrow. xxxx

BuddhaBelly · 19/07/2009 17:29

Oh my you lot are making me cringe with shows' and perineal massages the things we do!!

Well I did make it to Babies r Us and bought all our nursery bedding (well my soft dad did bless him ) It's this one Also bought a gorgeous knitted bunny plus some cot sheets, not that we've got a cot or anything! Still feels very surreal, but it's a step in the right direction. We've also picked our pushchair but not buying it yet, feels like a huge step getting this stuff the rest can wait til after the next scan.

Hope you all have had a good weekend and avoided the rain that we've had, summer my arse!

BuddhaBelly · 19/07/2009 17:33

Georgie Cross posts, so lovely to hear from you, glad to hear the your dd's are loving Flora, I'm sure the novelty will wear off especially once she starts crying Can't believe you're moving this week! Fruityjuice · 20/07/2009 09:07

Morning ladies

Well yesteday was pretty much a write off - major hangover for most of the day.

I well and truly wet little Florence's head on Sat night (and also celebrated a friend's 30th) I didn't make it in until 5am I can honestly say I have never ever had such a bad hangover. Couldn't even lift my head. I was pretty much comatose until around 2pm.
Managed to get round to my friend's house for her family b'day tea though by 3.30, amazingly.

How are we all doing then, let me have a look at yesterday's round up......

Bella Looking promising lady! Keep me updated
btw I love the name Mia. Would that be pronounced Me-a or My-a? I love both but really like Me-a. I can only see her as an Imogen now though as you've called her that for so long (equally a lovely name)

Georgie Absolutely stunning picture of little Flo Po - a delicious little chubba. I'm absolutely desperate for a girly cuddle. Just let me know when you've moved in and and you fancy having 5 minutes rest and I'll pop over for a cuppa

Ei You're absolutely right "It will happen!" I so admire your positivity. I had given up all hope after only 11 months - I'm hopeless!
I still think of S as the cutey chubby little girl at Sparkly's house that time when was that? - ages ago right?
I bet she's grown up so much since then It'd be lovely to get L, S and C together again

Buddha very cute bedding set! I love the cot in the picture, did you look at cots too?
What pushchair do you have your eyes on? (you know I love a pushchair)

Lola I also did the massage. I think I used Wheatgerm oil. Did it every morning but only for about 10 seconds so it probably wouldn't have made much difference and I have no idea if it would have helped or not.

Scully you have your DH well trained! Or has the novelty not worn off yet?
Glad you're managing to get some rest - you need it!

Sparkly I don't get that game? I had a go but I don't think I was doing it right

About the dress for the reg office - I really really like Lola's suggestion (the brown Beau dress) but I also love Teehee's knee length white dress. I think I might be better off with sleeveless as I'm quite broad across the shoulders. I might have to go into Monsoon and try a few on. The one in Kingston is the only one near my with Wedding dresses so will have to make a special trip
I've found these bridesmaid dresses which I adore! Not sure if the 10/11 year old will want to wear them though? What do you think? Maybe just for the 4 year old? But then what do I get for the 10/11 year olds?

BellaHarry · 20/07/2009 14:03

ei good to hear from you. And great to see you're so positive, my sis got pg after a quiet month on the bd front and a weekend camping with in-laws so hmmm x

fruity today I woke up and hardly felt pg! Been running around all over the place seem to have so much energy even going out for drinks tonight in Wimbledon with friends! No twinges out of the ordinary and the bh are more irregular again, mainly in the evening. Not to worry though as have a v busy week planned and perhaps this is the calm before the storm? As for bridesmaid dresses, my little sis (12 at time of wedding) really wanted to wear the same 'grown up' bridesmaid as my big ones so I had one altered for her, made. Bit more suitable (no cleavage etc) she seemed chuffed.

SparklyPseudonym · 20/07/2009 15:28

Hi all,
I'm shattered today. Took DD to a play place and then to the beach. DP has taken her to see his mother now so am planning a sneaky nap before they arrive home.
Fruity I think that dress would be gorgeous for the older girls too. It doesn't look 'young' to me at all. You have to serve up the right orders in that game and make sure the food isn't over/under cooked. It gets so addictive when you get the hang of it.
Ei It's strange when they suddenly stop being toddlers and become little girls isn't it? Hope you had a fab break and that the 'relaxing' pays off. It IS going to happen for you and I can't bloody wait .
Bhudda Go on!! Am so glad you've started buying. You won't be able to stop now .
Georgie Lovely to hear from you. Hope you're having lots of time to rest up and not over doing it. Good luck with the move - do lots of delicating. Can't wait to see pics of Flora.
Scully Any more pics of Connor? Bet he's changing everyday.
Bella We had a few names picked out for DD but none of them suited her. Took us nearly two weeks to name her. I think it's going to be so much harder to name a boy. We're really struggling.

Hello to everyone else.

teeheelaydee · 20/07/2009 16:35

Hiya

Noah is having a nice long nap and really should be doing something useful but am MN'ing instead (What's more useful than that?)

Nice to hear from your Georgie and good luck for the move, mind you probably best to do it while Flo is still doing that sleep all the time thing - I take it she is behaving and sleeping alot! Take it easy though.

So, Bella you are now officially NEXT - excited or nervous? Glad to hear you are enjoying your last few days/weeks.

Buddha LOVE the new purchases - well done Grandad for getting you started. Things are going to speed up now I predict. Hope you can start to 'enjoy' it a bit.

Sparkly Is it nice to have DP around to help. We have managed to get on with our own day's today and have yet to annoy each other but then this is day one and we have another 6 weeks to go! Enjoy your nap - oh I remember them well.

Fruity I agree with Sparkly those dresses are gorgeous and not too young. Maybe you the older ones could have more grown up shoes and/or hair etc. Also I thought Lola's dress was black which could be a bit racey for the official bit but if it's brown I think it would be gorgeous.

Apparently my presence is required in the garden to be consulted on the position of the new shed - ah my glamorous life.

See you later

SparklyPseudonym · 20/07/2009 17:29

Teehee We haven't p*ssed each other off [yet] today but I'm sure we'll soon getting fed up each other. Nap has left me with a headache. I'm rubbish at short sleeps!

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 20/07/2009 18:41

Hey guys. Have uploaded some pics of Flo onto FB. Go check her out! xx

teeheelaydee · 20/07/2009 19:19

Just had a peek at Flora and I know it was a long wait but she just looks so perfectly ready to have been born - clearly Georgie she wasn't coming until she was at her most gorgeous.

Enjoy your 3 lovely girls!

SparklyPseudonym · 20/07/2009 19:28

Georgie She is so beautiful. I especially love the pic of the three sisters. They are going to break some hearts!!

After realising that Teehee is going to be not too far away this weekend, we've decided to meet up in Swindon on Saturday. Lola and I had a chat on FB and she is coming too as is Bhudda. I think we'll me meeting around midday and going to Pizza Express. It's short notice but not sure if any of you other ladies want to come along? I'm getting the train and it seems pretty straight forward to get to Swindon this way. Would be great to see you there if you can make it. xxx

Fruityjuice · 20/07/2009 20:16

Georgie Gorgeous pics!

Aw, I'm so miffed I can't come on Saturday. C's got a party to go to, then gymnastics until 2pm. DP would never go instead, especially as we wouldn't be leaving him there.
I suppose I'll have to wait for Georgie's extension warming - I'm just too impatient. I'm sure you'll all have fun

Just checked The Trainline and it's £40 return so couldn't have made it anyway

SparklyPseudonym · 20/07/2009 21:02

Fruity Sorry to see you can't make it . You'll be missed but I'm hoping to get up to London in next few weeks whilst I can still walk so we'll def have to meet up then.

cricri · 20/07/2009 21:15

Evening ladies
Gorgeous photos Georgie Hope all is going well and good luck with the move. It will be nice to get all settled now that Flora is here.
How is our other new mummy Scully? Hope Connor is feeding better.
Am very of you all meeting up on Saturday. Unfortunately Swindon is a bit far for me I'll have to wait until we go to Georgie's in September.
Fruity Sounds as though you've got some good ideas for your "official" dress so hope you find something. The bridesmaid's dresses are lovely too.
Buddha I'm really pleased you've started buying stuff for LO, well done grandad. It does seem surreal, in fact it didn't really hit me until Elise arrived and even then I still look at her now and can't quite believe it!
Ei Lovely to hear from you and fingers crossed for you this month, you've got a great PMA.
Sparkly Hope you have a more restful day tomorrow - don't forget to put your feet up occasionally!
Teehee Hope you were able to advise on the position of the shed so that it's just right How are you feeling this week? Now that DP is home he'll be able to help you with Noah so make sure you get lots of me time!
Bella Bursting with energy sounds very promising... Not long now I'm sure!
All well here, counting down the days until we go to France for a month (16!) In the meantime Elise is as lovely as ever. We took her to the zoo yesterday and she was very intrigued by some of the animals.
She's teething again though poor thing.

mibbes · 20/07/2009 22:06

Buddha well done on buying stuff, a big step but such a fun one ! The bedding is gorgeous and I love the wee knitted bunny

Georgie wee Flora is adorable

Ei well done on the PMA - I agree that it will happen when you least expect and I also predict that will be soon... from my sums this month you may have timed it very well indeed

Fruity I agree that the dress looks lovely for an older girl too - have you asked her if she'd wear it ?

Lola where are you missus ?

cricri how many teeth does Elise have now ?

Bella is a sudden burst of energy not one of the signs of impending labour ?... ooooh exciting ! I reckon you will be early

Well no surprise that I can't make the meetup - sounds great, enjoy !
