Oh and cricri am very of a month in France.

and sparkly and teehee good luck for the next 6 weeks - I am usually pleased to see DP go back to work after 1 week off !

BellaHarry · 20/07/2009 22:27

georgie I'm just heading off to fb to see these pics!

Nice idea about the meet, Swindon's not too far from my mum's but I'm just too far gone to risk the journey. Hope you have fun x

Well after my bust of energy things really kicked off over here, 4pm I had bh that increased in intensity and pain wrapped right around my lower back and abdomen, I had an incredible urge to walk and did lap after lap of my road everything getting really intense and painful, got in bounced on ball, still having the cramps and then had a bath at 5 (hour of constant progress) then it all stopped! Had a rest for an hour on bed but that was it, false start! Not too bothered as still early and was good to get an insight in to what will happen, but it would be convenient for it to start up again tonight as I only have until 23rd to have my Cancerian baby! Then we cross in to Leo, so please send some vibes.

Hope you all have a pleasant evening, I'm off to play a board game with DH x

Emmsy1 · 20/07/2009 23:14

Ladies you are the best!
I ask one request now, please! I don't get time to come on line very often, the kids always get there first!
Please from now on can you post to, me on face book. I would really respect you all now if you changed the name to 'EI'S Mission'!
I wish you all, lot's of happiness and love for the future. XX
If anyone wants to text me my number is :07708 128353
Sparkly probably has my other details! Take care girls, I wish you all so much happiness!! XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Fruityjuice · 21/07/2009 09:12

Morning!

Bella oooooooooooooohhhhhhh, I've just texted you xx

Emmsy!!!!!! I've put your number in my phone. I hope all is well. I bet little Amy is HUGE now

I think emmsy's right, shall we change it now, we've only got another 95 posts to go, might just as well? I think Ei's mission is a great idea. Feel a bit sad that we won't have Emmsy in the title though, perhaps we can stick it in there somewhere? Doesn't feel right without it....

cricri ooh, teeth not nice. You're going to France again? I swear you've only just been

Re the dress, I think we'll order the one I showed you and this one which my Mum loves in the older girls sizes and try them on them. I love the big bow at the back of the BHS one.

I went into Coast yesterday and on the spur of the moment bought this in the sale. It was half price (couldn't find you a pic at Coast as it's sold out online. I also really like this

I could take the other one back as I haven't looked in Monsoon yet. Really want to try on their wedding dresses and the Beau one.

Decisions decisions..........

BellaHarry · 21/07/2009 09:28

Still here.

Fruity I like the second one x

SparklyPseudonym · 21/07/2009 14:17

When is it going to stop raining??

We've been to the museum this am but am tempted to stay in this afternoon and do some baking with L. I don't want to get soaked AGAIN!!

Bella Any more signs this pm?
Fruity Buy all of the dresses . You can outfit change every couple of mins then.
Emmsy [waves]
Ei How do you feel about taking over the thread title? I think it's a nice idea but obviously want you to give the go ahead before we do.
Mibbes How is little E?
Cricri Poor E. Teething is no fun. Am very of your trip to France. Have a fab time and take lots of pictures for me to coo over.

Hmm am now reconsidering baking in favour of a DVD. [Bad Mum Emoticon!]

Fruityjuice · 21/07/2009 16:40

Sparkly Did you manage to bake anything? C's just made a pizza for his tea and it's delicious. I had to have one slice

I had to return the dress I bought from Coast cos they gave me the wrong size. While I was in Elys I spotted a gorgeous pair of Karen Millen Shoes in the sale. I kept walking past them until I finally gave in and tried them on - I now have them here at home To be fair, they are a late b'day pressies from DP. We paid half each so I only actually paid £30 for them
No I promise I won't be treating myself anymore! I'm so incredibly skint now I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do [stupid emoticon] I don't know what's wrong with me, I'm actually incredibly overdrawn so digging myself a deeper hole. I just can't say no. I blame my mother - she's the same
Pay day soon, I'll behave, I promise!

cricri · 21/07/2009 21:06

Oooh, Bella sounds very promising! Hope things kick off properly for you soon, you must be starting to get fed up of thinking "Is this it?" and then things stopping again.
Emmsy Lovely to "see" you! I keep meaning to look at your FB profile to see if you have any new photos of Amy. Is she starting to crawl yet? Elise keeps trying to but reverts back to bum-shuffling.
Mibbes Elise just has two bottom teeth at the moment. I thought I could see one of the top ones in the gum yesterday but I'm not sure.
Fruity All those lovely dresses! Shame the Coast one wasn't the right size though.
It's true I was in France in May so I guess it does seem as though I've only just come back!
Sparkly Well, did you bake or watch a DVD??
On a sadder note, I had an email from a friend today who is expecting her first baby in November. Unfortunately her anomaly scan revealed that baby has a congenital diaphragmatic hernia and the prognosis isn't great. She and DP have been given a 30% survival rate so as you can imagine she's devastated I really feel for her, I know how worried DH and I were when our anomaly scan revealed Elise's kidney dilatation but this is in a different league all together. Even if the baby survives long enough after delivery to have the necessary corrective surgery, it's a major procedure I searched on MN to see if I could find anything on CDH, but didn't see much.

SparklyPseudonym · 21/07/2009 21:19

Cricri I am so sorry to hear about your friend. I can't imagine how it must feel to be given that sort of news. It might be worth starting a thread to see if you can find anyone (I'm sure there will be people willing to share their experiences) who has been in the same situation. Maybe you can then fwd info etc. on to your friend? I felt so useless when my friend lost her little girl last year and there were so many MN who shared information and ideas for ways to support her. All the best to them and to you.

Have just been to see 'My Sister's Keeper' with my sister. I silently sobbed through the whole film. I still feel like crying now. The film was so much sadder than the book.

We didn't bake....DD was playing happily in her bedroom so I had a nap and when I woke up the house was silent - DP had taken her to visit his mother and sister....BLISS!

scully · 22/07/2009 06:22

Wow Sparkly, how nice to wake up to a quiet house Not sure if I could sit through that movie, looks good, but very sad, don't think my hormones are up to it yet.
Very of your trip to France Cricri, how lovely will that be.
Love all the dresses you've put links to Fruity Shoes are also very glam, don't think I'd wear shoes like that more than once or twice a year now, how sad is that
Had to have a pelvic scan yesterday, blood loss hadn't increased but had changed colour back to red, and I had some discomfort around my scar. Scan shoed some retained product, but hopefully a does of antibiotics should fix it, and help my lingering cold as well. ds still going well with his feeding, I'm still expressing, will try bf again soon, maybe on the weekend. He's up to 100ml a feed now, little piglet
Had him weighed on Mon as well and he has regained the weight he lost at birth and then a little more, so a good effort to do that by day9. The nurse said they usually like them to do that by day14. He's on the 50th percentile too, never had a child budge off the bottom of the graph for growth so a new experience to have a little guzzler

ButterflEi · 22/07/2009 16:37

hey ladies
cricri sorry to hear about your friend
bella ooooh sounds positive, there again i had bad BH's for the last 4 weeks with DD and i even went into hospital to be checked twice as they were 4 mins apart!! good luck!!
hello to everyone else
i am of your meet up but i cant come due to short notice and lack of funds ahh well...i will be coming to georgies one in sept
i dont mind if we change the thread name to my mission but maybe it should be something with a bit of a funny twist...like Ei's in on a mission(ary) position or somethin...you know what i mean lol
xx ei xx

BellaHarry · 22/07/2009 18:27

Hi all

ei cheeky thread name sounds good x

Scully well done with your little 'guzzler' fantastic that he's feeding so well.

Sparkly that book is on my 'to read' list, I reckon I could use it to teach year 12 (Ethics) as we look at genetic engineering and the 'saviour sibling' debate??

cricri your poor friend! that is terrible news, nothing can prepare you for that

No changes here, things have gone a little quiet actually, I woke with cramps at 3am but fell back to sleep within half an hour and have nothing to write home about today. Just have to ride it out I suppose. 1 week 'til due day; maximum of 3 weeks 'til baby as don't want to go too over-due, at that rate Lola could overtake me?

mibbes · 22/07/2009 20:41

crici so sorry to hear about your friend, how dreadful , good idea about posting on here to find helpful advice as to how you can help her. I wouldn't know where to start.

Bella you still here ?!! I thought you'd be well on the way by now. Get bouncing on a gym ball then walk, walk, walk !

Ei love the cheeky thread name

Fruity I see on FB you are having a nightmare with bridesmaid dresses - booo . Have you tried Debenhams ? Must be a nightmare, how many do you have to get ?

I have decided that enough is enough and tomorrow I'm off to the 'new mums' exercise class and putting DS into the creche. Am a bit nervous about leaving him with a stranger but everyone says it is a really good creche and I am bored of having a flabby belly. Crunches here I come - YIKES !

SparklyPseudonym · 23/07/2009 11:09

Morning ladies,
I went to watch my niece in a singing show last night. She's 11 and did a brill solo. DD came too which meant she didn't get to bed until 10:45pm but she was very good and still woke up early. She'd wake up at the same time even if I put her to bed at 5pm - that's not a bad idea .
Mibbes You're very brave. I don't enjoy exercising in the slightest. Good luck. I'm sure all your hard work will pay off.
Bella Still here? It might be a good book to explore those issues and look at 'the greater good' etc but it's very chick-lit-like but would provoke a good discussion.
Ei [waves] Love your idea for thread title. You're always so imaginative!!
Scully Hooray for Connor and his feeding. DD fed lots and never lost any weight but instead put on over a 1lb in her first week. She's always been on 75th centile for her weight - poor girl . She LOVES her food.

Where is everyone else? You're all quiet .

BellaHarry · 23/07/2009 17:10

Gg

BellaHarry · 23/07/2009 17:21

Grr just posted long message, and now blackberry deleted it! Oh well, I did try to catch up with some of you but I'll have to try again later. I'm still 'with child' though! X

piper84 · 23/07/2009 17:21

hi ladies, Just a quick post in between appointments,
Firstly a Huge congrats to Georgie Love the name flora
Scully Great that Connor is feeding so well and puting on weight

Had a scan today which revealed that we are having two .............drum roll........... GIRLS! both measuring bang on 25 weeks and both weighing approx 1lb 5oz each. Will come back on later and catch up properly xxx

SparklyPseudonym · 23/07/2009 17:55

Bella Ah well...not long now.
Piper WOOHOO for the girls. How does it feel to know? Girls rock.

Massive pile of ironing to start .

Fruityjuice · 23/07/2009 18:53

Oi! Piper Sling one of those girls my way please! How wonderful! Are they identical?

cricri That is just awful news, I can't imagine what they are going through right now

Sparkly That's the same as DS, he always wakes at around 6/6:30 no matter what time he goes to bed. Did L enjoy the show?
Leave the ironing for the ironing fairy - that's what I do

mibbes Good luck with the exercise class! You will feel so good after

Bella you could have another 2 weeks over No comment - God I hope I'm wrong, c'mon Immy!!

Ei Loving the thread name idea. Can't wait to see you in Sept! No excuses this time

Scully I love the new pics of little Connor on FB, he's adorable!
Sounds like he's doing well. It took ages for Jack to get back up to his birth weight. But I was starving him poor thing

I got a phone call today to say my Wedding dress is in! I might have to go along to meet it

Having a nightmare with bridesmaid dresses. A lot of the ones I'd seen are now end of line and new stock not in till Sept! Also trying to find dresses to fit two rather large 10/11 year olds - not easy! Going dress trying in Peter Jones on Sunday

SparklyPseudonym · 23/07/2009 20:33

Fruity Yey for wedding dress. I can't wait to see pics. PITA about bridesmaid dresses. Fingers crossed you'll find something you like even more than the ones you've not been able to get hold of.

Just finished the ironing and washed all the floors downstairs. Think I'll sit on my botton and watch TV now.

cricri · 23/07/2009 21:40

Thanks for all your messages about my friend. I had an email from her today in reply to mine after she told me the news (it took me ages to compose as I didn't quite know what to say). Anyway, she sounds as OK as can be. Reading between the lines she's continuing with the pregnancy and she's in good hands with her doctors from the sound of it. Quite a centre of expertise where she lives. She's having to take drugs to prevent premature labour as obviously the longer baby stays in the womb the stronger she will be. She sounded quite strong and positive in her email but she must be on a massive emotional roller-coaster with all this going on. Pregnancy is stressful at the best of times, without all this. Anyway, I've already mentioned MN to her so perhaps she'll consider posting. Anyway...
Piper Yay for your two girls I agree with Sparkly, girls are wonderful. Lovely news!
Mibbes How was your exercise class? Hope you're not aching too much today I also hope Evan didn't mind being in the creche. I've been leaving Elise at the gym creche for a good few months now and she's been fine. She even managed to fall asleep on Tuesday with lots of children screaming playing around her and an exercise class going on next door so she's obviously comfortable there! The staff are really nice which helps.
Bella Not long now I'm sure!
Scully Little Connor is doing really well - great news about him being back up to his birth weight
Fruity What a nightmare with the bridesmaids' dresses! Hope you find something suitable. Enjoy seeing your dress for the first time - it's a very special moment

scully · 24/07/2009 06:14

Congrats on the scan Piper, 2 girls, how lovely
Hope you find some bridesmaids dresses soon Fruity, don't know where you're finding the time to do all this wedding stuff, with 2 children and working
I am still feeling so tired and drained, much more so than I remember after dd2. Especially after reading all the housework you're doing Sparkly, slow down Can't see much getting done around here when dh goes back to work next Thurs. At least he has filled the freezer with meals, that will be a big help for the first couple of weeks he's back.
How was the class Mibbes? And Evan at the creche?
Need to get up now and push dd2 on the swings, would rather just lie on the sofa and doze, but I'll be a good mother, for 5min anyway

BellaHarry · 24/07/2009 09:15

piper giries yay!!! How gorgeous! All those matching pink dresses and bonnets aaw!

Off to consultant in an hour to hve bp checked after last weeks 'high' maybe I can persuade him to do a sweep!? Didn't sleep a wink feel like a baloon ready to burst!

Hi ladies x

BuddhaBelly · 24/07/2009 09:46

Bella Good luck with persuading consultant
Piper Congrats on finding out you're having pink ones, how lovely
CriCri Glad to hear your friend is coping so well with her terrible news (well at least putting on a brave front) I really hope it works out for them
Sparkly Slow down missus your putting us all to shame!
Lola You OK?
Fruity Pants about the bridesmaids dresses, when are you off to meet your dress
EI Love the new thread name

Apologies for not posting much but had a few issues at work, so just been switching off completely in the evenings, have been lurking though I'm looking forward to the mini-meet up tommorrow, hopefully will meet everyone at some point
Well next scan is 2 wks today, there was a tiny part of me that was looking forward to it as we'll find out the flavour, but after hearing about CriCri's friend I'm back to just worrying I know I know it doesn't mean it will happen to us, but you know what it's like!

BellaHarry · 24/07/2009 11:39

Buddha it would be nice to all meet one day. I wish I could find you all on fb but seem to have trouble finding some people, reckon fb has it in for me!

Consutant wants to let nature tke it's course as baby has gone from 3/5 to 1/5 engaged over the last week and my extra mucus and loose bowel (sorry) means I might not need it booked in for next fri if not.

Hope evryone's having a nice day and not getting rained on as we are? X
