ILBAM, sorry to hear your results, good luck with the homeopathy I've also heard good things about it. Could you consider paying private fees for the fertility consultation? It might be under £100 in which case could you afford to pay not to wait? I'm no expert but would have thought a Clomid consultation should only be one session?? Worth a thought anyway. Hopefully it's just an odd one like WW experienced, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

I've just had a busy few days bd, my dh also works away a lot so I often only get the chance every other month, got to make the most of it. I'm sure he'll run away from me tonight!

Timmette - I think PreSeed is good for imitating cm and keeping the swimmers alive for a bit longer. Worth a try next time, lots of mn's recommend it. You get it on t'internet

londonlexi · 27/04/2009 08:02

Hi all, nice weekend? Any updates?

I'm in the eternal 2 week wait, although won't be too disappointed if it's not this month as it's my birthday soon and it means i can celebrate it properly. I can't believe it, I've reached the big 4-0.

timmette · 27/04/2009 08:16

Hi londonlexi I hope you have a good birthday. No news here also on the 2 week wait on day 26 now but I am pretty sure AF will turn up and won't be too disappointed as we didn't try properly this cycle. I also had a birthday this month - enjoy.

kittykat765 · 01/05/2009 08:41

Hi everyone (if anyone is still here). I have name changed (was katlokna) and just thought I would let you all know that I got a BFP on monday after one month of using the monitor.

Hope everyone is well.

timmette · 01/05/2009 09:12

Wow KittyKat765 that's great news congratulations. I will use the monitor properly next month.

NewMember · 01/05/2009 13:23

Fantastic news - gives us all a little hope using our CBFM! x

Hopefullythistime · 04/05/2009 16:05

Hi All,

Hope you don't mind me joining in! I had m/c on 10th April, we had been trying since Aug last year and actually got our bfp on first month of using cbfm. I started spotting yesterday but it only seems to happen when I strain (sorry tmi) so I'm not sure whether I should mark it as cd1 or wait a couple of days to set the cbfm? Also as it's been 6-7 weeks since I have used monitor should I reset it or just turn it on and set my first day when proper af arrives (which by my calculations should be Thursday based on 27 day cycle)? I am really trying to have pma but it's tough sometimes isnt it!

workingonit · 15/05/2009 16:42

Has anyone ever had this monitor either stay on low or stay on high and never detect an O? I have been using an old one given to me that has been reset and I have yet to see an O.. I know that I am because I temp and also had a m/c in March. Do you think this thing is too old or does it not detect hormones on everyone?

NewMember · 22/05/2009 14:37

Hi Ladies,

How r u all getting on with your CBFM?

AnguaVonUberwald · 27/05/2009 17:15

Do you mind if I join, I am starting this month - on M5 today so expecting to start peeing on the sticks tomorrow - where is anyone else at?

babyboom1979 · 27/05/2009 20:38

Just wanted to post that I began using the CB monitor last month and just got my BFP. This was after six months of trying after a miscarriage with no luck....

I really think it helped immenseley.

I would also definitely recommend dipping the test sticks. I just used an old small jar. Super easy.....

Best of luck to everyone.

Here's to hoping this one is sticky...

NewMember · 27/05/2009 21:21

Thats great - congrats!

My CB asked for a stick this morning so I am on CD6 - my cycle is 24-25 days, it has got shorter the past 2 months!

Fingers crossed xx

engelbart · 27/05/2009 22:05

That's so encouraging babyboom! This is my first month using the monitor, on CD22 and desperately hoping I'll get my bfp this month, not hopeful though as seem to be getting lots of AF like cramps already...

Hello to everyone else! NewMember- I suppose the only bonus to short cycles is that you'll know if you're pregnant sooner than if you had a longer cycle?

I have been really really pathetic and wasted loads of ebay cheapy tests by testing when I'm only 8 days post ovulation. How sad is that? I really need to get a grip!

AnguaVonUberwald · 28/05/2009 10:04

Englebart - I did that last month - lots and lots of ebay tests, even when I knew it was hopeless - and it was.

So this month, CBFM here we come, M6 today - so peed on my first stick.

I am trying for baby no 2, baby number one - DS - has just gone to sleep and is 14 months old! (also concieved with a CBFM!)

NewMember · 28/05/2009 13:38

Fingers crossed this will be our month Ladies

engelbart · 28/05/2009 19:36

AnguaVonUberwald- more confirmation then that the monitor works! I have got a load of ebay cheapies left and having to restrain myself from not testing tomorrow which is cd 24, not sure if I'll be able to hold out or not even though I know its a BFN.

AnguaVonUberwald · 29/05/2009 07:31

Englebert - here's hoping it works this time round - We concieved DS so easily I think both DH and I thought we would get pregnant straight away, but we havn't (its not been long, just a couple of months, but I think we thought it would be easy!)

So we have started using the CBFM again (we used it the first time round after a missed miscarrige, to try and speed the process up!)

Good luck with your testing, I think its very hard not to test, and thats why I buy cheap ebaby pregnancy tests, so that I can test even if there is really no point, the problem is that each time, you secretly think: It could be positive, and when it isn't you are sooo disapointed.

D7 here, CBFM still low!

NewMember · 29/05/2009 11:08

Nightmare - I am on CD7 so expecting my high and peaks about day 10/11! I have just been diagnosed with having Shingles (4th time) - they have given me Antibiotics! Does this mess up my chances this month?

AnguaVonUberwald · 29/05/2009 13:29

I don't know about the antibiotics, I am having tests for something that might require them too, and I am worried about it as well.

I am CD 7, but currently have a 31/32 day cycle, so not sure when I am expecting the highs.

engelbart · 29/05/2009 23:04

I wouldn't have thought antibiotics would mess up your chances newmember. I remember being told to use condoms when I was on the pill and prescribed antibiotics because antibiotics stop the pill working and you can get pregnant... I'd still keep trying if I was you .

I'm going on holiday in a couple of weeks and now worried that I'll get stopped at airport security when they put my bag through the scanner and pick up the monitor. How can I explain it?! Also worried about different time zones mucking up the monitor's testing window. So fed up just wish I could have got my BFP this month instead I have major AF symptons.

engelbart · 29/05/2009 23:21

Oh have just realised how dense I am, you're worried the antibiotics may mess up readings on the CB monitor rather than stop you getting pregnant.

AnguaVonUberwald · 30/05/2009 10:45

englebert - or worried that the antibiotics will cause problems for the baby - when it is so tiny.

D8 today - still low - fingers stil crossed.

Englebert - apparently what you do is pee in the cup first thing in the morning, and then dip the stick in it at the right time for you monitor!

NewMember · 30/05/2009 15:02

I got a high this morning, so def still abouth to OV! I will see what happens!

AnguaVonUberwald · 31/05/2009 19:21

Newmember - what CD are you on? I am on 9 and so far no high!

NewMember · 31/05/2009 20:26

Hi Angua

Today is day 10 and I am on my 2nd high, I would normally have got a peak this morning -so a little confused! It might peak tomorrow tho! My cycle has changed to 24-25 days so I prob OV quite early!
