Morning all.

MJIM - glad you had a nice time. I will join you on a sensible diet if you want. I can't starve myself but really need to keep my hands out of the biscuit tin in the name of conception! It all started when I got out the "How to get Pregnant" book I naively purchased when ttc number 1. It left me paranoid and hysterical (no wonder it took me an age to conceive ) - aparently I need to lose a stone

CE - very funny. DH had one passed around at work which was a complaint to the police which had me in tears. I will try and hunt it out.....

Bluestar - sorry about your BFN - but like you say - it doesn't sound like the best of months to conceive. I hope you get on OK this weekend with your friends - they will really need your support.

Dawni - consultant categorically told me not to use ovulation predictor kits when trying to get pg with DS1 (can't remember the reason though). I have decided to buy a thermometer next month should I need it.

I am now feeling paranoid having read my book. Aparently you release an egg up to 48 hours after the day you get the most EWCM (which in my case was Sunday). So BD on Sun and Mon (perhaps tonight if we feel up to it) I am starting to feel that we haven't managed it and still have 11 days to wait . Plus I had slight AF pains yesterday which I am now thinking may be ovulation pains which is adding to my paranoia!

Oh well, I will now make my 5th attempt to file my tax return....

MrsPuddleduck · 28/01/2009 09:41

CE - lost DH's copy but found it on a strange website - make sure you read the police reply and then the further complaint!

enjoy

LaDiDaDi · 28/01/2009 09:50

Hello again everyone.

Sorry to hear about your friends and your BFN bluestar.

Hope all is still goofd with you HC.

Loved that complaint letter!

I feel like the lazy half-arsed ttc person on this thread. I'm just happy to be Bding after a lull period because of dp's meds. The rest of you seem super organised, looking at cm and temping etc. I'm both impressed and embarrassed at my own ineptitude .

I really need to consider my dates more. I think that Jan 13th was D1 of my cycle. If so then we bd'd on D6, D8 x2, D10 and D14 (yesterday) but not all of those were, ahem, productive . I got pregnant in cycle 2 with dd and I think that I must have ovulated relatively early then but that's just my guess from the date that we know we conceived.

MrsPuddleduck · 28/01/2009 11:06

Hi Ladida - you need to be relaxed about things - I hate the way I am constantly checking etc but can't help myself!

Non related - does anyone know where to get or have a decent ringtone for their phone? Mine are all really annoying on mine and I don't know where to start!

HumphreysCorner · 28/01/2009 15:48

Willmouse-I download songs on Limewire then send them to my mobile via Bluetooth.

Have got DD1's friend round for tea. It is like having a herd of elephants upstairs!

Laters when I have some peace.

Productive day here

I have finally filed my tax return!!!!

Bought a ringtone from Orange (£3.50) after reading scare mongering stories about buying them off sites which went on to send you loads of texts etc. Had the theme to Pulp Fiction in the end (after literally hours of working out what would/would not be shamefull to ring in my handbag LOL!)

Bellie · 28/01/2009 16:51

Willmouse - congrats on filing your return it is a horrible job but now you can relax for another year!

I am dead boring with my ringtone - have what comes with the phone as can't be bothered with anything else - hardly anyone rings me anyway!

Ladidadi - relaxed is the best way imo if you can do it! Easier said than done though

CE - glad to hear ofsted went well another thing out of the way before your mat leave!

Waving to everyone else - dd is slightly under the weather and very clingy today so am lucky to get on here at all!

ChocolateEclair · 28/01/2009 17:51

Hi girls

bellie - you still here?!?!? lol! Any signs???? (obv not or you would have said!). Sounds like you got a nice comfy pair of trousers!

ladidadi - yes, relaxed def better. You can save the temping/OPK/Saliva/EWCM checking etc etc for if needed down the line! (hoping you are pg by then tho of course!)

willmouse - glad you had a nice time, and fingers crossed for you on the looooong 2ww!

MJIM - glad you had a nice time away, and have calmed down about the things you were worrying about. Do you think stopping weighing yourself every day might help a little? Go for once a week? (I can't talk I always weigh myself each morning! Not sure why!)

dawni - sounds like you had a nice time shopping also! Do you feel like you are into the 2ww yet?

BSL - hope you are ok this weekend. I will be thinking of you guys and your friends. It won't be easy for you, but I'm sure they will be grateful to just be themselves for a little while.

HC - herds of elephants upstairs? Time to reach for the B Hill! Oh no you can't, you're pg! YEY! Hoping some lovely symptoms come winging their way to you very soon!

Dawn - is scan tomorrow? Good Luck!!! Things will be great I'm sure - enjoy seing you little girl! Will you show us the pics??????

We passed the OFSTED with flying colours, so feel like I am leaving on a high note. I am starting to get a little sentimental about leaving though - feels real now! - about kids I have taught for 3 years that I won't see again etc. Blub blub! I'm excited tho as well so it's all quite odd!

The plan re: the baby (stubborn little boy I reckon!) is that we go back to mw on 9th Feb (1.5 weeks) and if still breech we have to go to see some consultant in next town (20 miles away, bigger hospital). He will prob want to do a scan. We will probably be offered ECV to turn it, but have decided that we don't want that at all. (I'm a bit of a believer in the 'things happen for a reason' mentality, so maybe baby isn't meant to come out that way IYSWIM). So, he will be talking to us ab out a c section I think.

I'm not particularly averse to the idea really. The main downside for me is that I will be in hosiptal for a few days 20 miles away from DP and our families. The CS itself doesn't scare me (must be the scientist in me!). I'm also thinking I would be able to get help with Breast feeding while I was in hospital if needed!

Sorry to go on - it might all be irrelevant anyway as baby will most likely turn on it's own!

CE xx

Dawni · 28/01/2009 19:01

Hi ladies, had a busy day, started with a long hot bath while DH went to the gym, followed by a spot of BDing...had stabbing pains in right side yesterday and lasnight, will BD on friday and hopefully this should be enough for this months cycle !! We went out for late luch today which was lovely and romantic then we done a bit of food shopping before coming home.
I bought a hypnotherapy CD off ebay, by a midwife called Joanne Scurr, its amazing, i listen to it as often as i can, so damn relaxing you wouldnt believe....even the dog loves it, he ends up flat on his back snoring . The CD is for fertility and conception adn it has certainly helped me to relax about the whole TTC job

I did read all mail, but have'nt time to reply 1 by 1 as emmerdale is imminent and a brew is waiting for me with a dish of choc-mint ice cream

Back later ladies

Much love

D xx

CE - Although I didn't want a c-section, in the end it was absolutely fine, and you are spot on about the hlp with breastfeeding. I was in hospital for 3 days after the cs and I know that if I had gone home earlier I would have struggled massively with BF, as I really needed the support of the midwives for the full 3 days, I just couldn't have managed on my own any earlier. The recovery after the cs was fine too. Obviously I was a bit delicate at first, but now, 9 weeks later I feel completely back to my usual self and am exercising now. Whenever baby no 2 happens (fingers crossed), I would be quite happy to have another c-section, if the midwife or doc thinks it's for the best. I know some people worry about not bonding as well with the baby after a c-section, but I felt like I totally bonded with him. Also, although I couldn't feel anything, I definitely knew when they pulled him out, as I felt a lightening in my belly. So all in all, my cs was a massively positive experience, and I'm sure if that's the best option for you then it will be totally fine.

I went into work today with the baby - it was so nice!! It was fab seeing the kids again, they were all totally gaga over the baby (well, the girls anyway!) The guy who is doing my maternity cover is apparently appalling so they are quite keen for me to go back! It's nice to be wanted

HumphreysCorner · 28/01/2009 20:41

Dawni-your chart is looking good. Keep up the BDing.

ChocEclair-great news re Ofsted report. You will be relieved once you start maternity leave. I reckon you are having a boy too.

Bellie-I think you're having a boy too.

My temp went up a tad this morning so hoping things are going OK-AF will be one week late tomorrow. 5 weeks

I got my money back for the GHD straighteners along with this E-Mail:

'I have refunded your original amount I will refund you a Furter £6.50 Once I recieve the item back. I understand you are not happy about this but niether am I, and I am a little disapointed about what you wrote on feedback. That has spoiled my chances of selling anything on ebay!'

Love to all, am absolutely knackered after supervising the girls tonight. DD1 kept having a strop because school friend would not do what she wanted. What made me laugh though was that the girl just helped herself to things including DD1's toy keys (I think because I can't find them after she picked them up)

Love to all, early night needed methinks.

Just checking in - have absolutely no time this week due to DH being away and Josh being at home rather than at nursery! One more day.....MJIM I really don't know how you manage being at home every day - it is driving me and Josh crazy!!

Hopefully will be back on track over the weekend

Josh is better - all his spots have scabbed over but Sam has got it but doesn't seem to be suffering at all with it

HumphreysCorner · 29/01/2009 09:54

Dawn-is your scan today? Hope all is OK.

Dawni-what is your temp today?

Hope all OK.

Hi MJIM

Dawni-yes I do think you are past OV but the next few temps will confirm it or FF will.

Feeling a tad nauseous which is great.

Playing bingo this afternoon with DD1's school so should be fun.

Love to all.

Hi all,

Have fun at bingo HC!! Glad to hear that you are feeling nauseous.

Dawnas - hope the scan goes well today fingers crossed for you xx

Ceebee - glad to hear that Josh is on the mend, and hope that sam doens't get it too bad - they do say the earlier they get it the easier it is.

CE - hopefully the baby will turn, but a c/s is not that bad - especially if you have time to prepare for it. Just make sure that you have plenty of help afterwards as it can be a while before you feel that you can lift things etc.

Dawni - hoping that the timings all worked for you but it sounds positive about lack of AF pains

MJIM - is naomi teething or is it just one of those things with a baby!?

Well I now know that in a weeks time I will also have a baby - due date today and nothing yet, but c/s booked for next thurs so definately have the end in sight now!!

Have a good day xx
