I am sure she will - just when you think you have it sussed they go and do something like this don't they!! Definately keeps you on your toes!

Ceebee74 · 29/01/2009 14:30

Josh has decided he wants a nap (I think he is so sick of my company that sleep is a much better option) so I am wasting using the time wisely and MNing!

MJIM sory to hear Naomi is being a bit grizzly - have a look at this link - if you scroll down, there is a chart which shows when baby's would normally have 'stormy' phases and why - it is really interesting this

Bellie ooh how exciting that the end is in sight for you - I know exactly how you feel and having a planned date for my CS meant that I could literally count down to the worst case scenario iyswim!

CE glad you are ok about having a cs - as Juanitad said, it really isn't that bad at all and my view is that it is whatever it takes to get the baby here safely. I have recovered well from both of mine - although the first few days are tough, it gets better so quickly, you forget you even had surgery after a few weeks!

Right I suppose I had better use this time constructively - or maybe go and play with Sam as he has been so neglected this week with Josh demanding my full attention!!

Hi all

Just a quick note to say hi - have the most rotten head cold and sore throat. Am either shivering or sweating. Putting dd to bed in a bit then I'll be turning in too. Obv can't take anything, so am planning to sleep it off.

CE - well done on the OFSTED report.

HC - wow, 5 weeks....now stop temping, you'll send yourself mad

Bellie - great news about the cs date.

Hi to everyone else...hopefully feel better tomorrow and I'll catch up properly

Dawni · 29/01/2009 18:25

Detox Hope you feel better tomorrow hun xx

Later

Dawni · 29/01/2009 20:00

Got that niggling feeling at the bottom of my tummy, not a good sign

HumphreysCorner · 29/01/2009 20:14

Stop that Dawni-you have ages until AF is due.

detox-sorry you are poorly. Hope you feel better soon.

Am freaking out here as I am having terrible cramps, just like mini contractions. Sure it's normal but it is so like the ones I had before I had a MC.

Hope all OK. I am v. tired after the fun of Bingo. Won a prize for getting a line.

Big wave!

DawnAS · 29/01/2009 20:38

Hello gorgeous ladies!!

Well, just popping on quickly as I'm really tired and will post a longer message to everyone tomorrow.

Scan was today and EVERYTHING is fine. Our little girl is right on the middle line for growth so where she should be for her "age" and all bits are where they should be. We've got a beautiful picture of the profile of her face so once DH has scanned them in at work tomorrow, I'll add them to my profile tomorrow night. I have to laugh aswell because last night (well, early hours of this morning) she gave her first real kicks that I could feel from outside aswell as inside. I was so excited that I couldn't sleep afterwards!! I just wish DH had been awake to have a feel too!! She hasn't stopped moving all day since then.

Oh, one more thing, apparently I do have an anterior placenta which explains why I wasn't feeling as much as I thought I should be a couple of weeks ago. She's making up for it now though!!

I hope that everyone is Ok and apologies for not replying individually. Off to have a nice cup of decaf tea (I'm not sure that "nice" and "decaf tea" should be in the same sentence but I'm used to it now) and go to bed.

Catch you all tomorrow and hope you all have a lovely evening.

xxx

majormoo · 29/01/2009 20:41

oh congratulations Dawn. Great news-it is so fab when you feel them move like that

Bellie-good luck

No time to catch up properly as about to have dinner-just wanted to see if any news from Bellie. Hope everyone is well.

MrsPuddleduck · 29/01/2009 20:58

Hi all, have had yet another bad day here - part of one of my bottom teeth broke off last night so had to make an emergency dash to the dentist for a filling - OK now though.

I am now on 4 DPO (AF due in 10 days) - was going to try and send some more troops in last night but can't say I really felt like it after part of my tooth dropped off no longer feeling as optimistic as I was.

Dawni - surely it is far too early to be AF pains?

DawnAs - glad the scan went so well!

HC - hope you are Ok - are you keeping your feet up and resting as much as possible??

CE - try and get that baby turned. I have had two c-sections and whilst there is nothing wrong with them in particular the recovery time is a pita - particularly the fact that you are bent double for a fortnight and then can't drive for 6 weeks.

Hi to everyone else! I'm off to watch a bit of TV while DH is out at footie!

Dawni · 29/01/2009 22:10

Hi again...

Dawn Brill news, cant wait to see the pic xx

Willmouse, Looking back at my diary, the last 2 cycles i got AF pains on CD17 which lasted right up until AF arrived, did'nt get the pains till later today so im well peeved to the point i wanna hide away, i was very positive this morning but not anymmore...I really stupidly thought it was gonna happen this month, how dumb am i !! Ive done nothing but eat crap in self pity
Hope your ok hun, sorry for going on at you, you know how im feeling xx Im 1 day behind you, was going to send troups in again tomorrow but dont think its worth it !

D xx

MrsPuddleduck · 30/01/2009 09:37

Morning all

Dawni - don't lose hope yet - I don't think I have done enough Bding this month due to the HSG and tooth incident but you never know! Don't eat crap - I know it is easier said than done - but once I had a 40 day cycle and ate crap from day 33 onwards - it took me a month to lose the weight - hope you are feeling better today.

Well, my week isn't getting any better - DS1 has got chicken pox - woke up this morning covered in them. He even has them in his mouth. How many days do the spot keep coming out for does anyone know?

I don't like change either...

Dawni · 30/01/2009 10:44

Morning ladies

Willmouse Poor DS1, they seem to be doing the rounds, hope he isnt too poorly. Im feeling much the same, ov is definatley over, ive been internally monitoring and it dry but a little creamy higher up, but my cervix is tight now where as its been high and soft for a few days, sorry for the tmi !!! but its a good way to check also.

This 2ww is the worst, it gets me down, my poor DH doesnt know if his coming or going with my mood swings, i woke with the AF ache at 5.10am and its still with me including tender nipples... never mind eh, gotta think about next month, at least i can use my new fertility montor.

Going for breakfast, ive had nothing yet, still a bit bloated after eating a family bag of revels last night

D xx

DawnAS · 30/01/2009 11:18

Hello all,

Just a quick drop in to tell you that I've loaded a scan picture of our little girl - a bit of an action shot because she wouldn't keep her legs and arms still!!

Hope all is well!!

xxx

Bellie · 30/01/2009 12:41

Dawn - what a great picture - she certainly sounds like a wriggler!

Ouch willmouse - hope you get the tooth sorted soon, and poor ds - hope he is not too ill with it. I think the spots come out for a max of about 5 days, but usually 2-3, and then it is 5 days once they crust over till you are out of quarantine!! . Right pain really, but hopefully better to get over with at this age.

HC - please stop panicking - it is probably just ligaments stretching. Can you book an early scan to put your mind at rest??

Dawni - please do not give up hope yet, you never know when it is going to be your month.

Majormoo - sorry no news yet - saw the midwife this morning and she took my bloods and MRSA swabs in case I end up with c/s next week.

Detox - hope you are feeling better - honey and lemon was all that I took, not sure if really helped, but made me feel like I was doing something - definately helped with the throat.

Hope everyone else is ok xx

HumphreysCorner · 30/01/2009 12:52

Ouch Willmouse-hate going to the dentist. Poor DS. The spots keep appearing over 2/3 days before they settle and scab over.

DawnAS-beautiful scan pic.

Dawni-easier said than done but don't panic yet as pre AF and pre PG are exactly the same symptoms as I have found out again. You do forget how it is supposed to feel. Agree that you should try and avoid the crap as I was 9 days late once and ate for 2 in that time.

Resting a tad more today so hoping not to get the terrible cramps again. Off to get some lunch.

Love to all.

Willmouse obviously my DS1 has infected yours down the ole internet line Josh's first spots appeared last Friday and they came in batchs until Monday - I think he got the last lot of new ones on Monday. They had all fully scabbed over by Wed/Thurs - so it is quite quick really but so frustrating as you are pretty much housebound! Get some piriton aswell as firstly, it helps the itching, and secondly, it helps them sleep. Apart from about half an hour last Saturday evening where he whinged constantly about an itchy bottom (he did have lots of spots on his bottom), he hardly complained at all.

Dawn the photo is fab Makes it all so real doesn't it?

Hi to everyone else - just passing through but thought I would pass on my recently acquired chicken pox advice

MrsPuddleduck · 30/01/2009 13:26

Ceebee - thanks for the advice - I hoped you may come along - I wonder if we will infect anyone else

DawnAs - what a great scan photo

HC - glad you are feeling better today, I would definitely rest as much as poss if I were you.

Dawni - I just looked on the ovulation predictor on here and it shows you your most fertile 4 days - I managed to BD on two of mine so feel a little better now.

To top my day off DS2 trod in dog poo outside mindees school - I will spare you the details of what I have just been doing......

Dawni · 30/01/2009 13:27

Thanks for the advice, im hanging on in there today, im going to lie down and listen to my hypnotherapy cd shortly when DH goes to the gym, your right HC its so long ago that i was pregnant that i cant remember a thing of how i felt, as soon as i get that AF type ache, i thinks thats it and its all over !!

Dawn, excellent scan photo xx

D xx

Dawni · 30/01/2009 13:28

Willmouse I dont know when i was most fertile, just hope i hit it right !!

D xx

Dawni · 30/01/2009 13:40

Tried ov predictor, i might have hit right dates but my cycle varies from 25-33 days, so without doing the OPK's im still not sure

D xx

detoxdiva · 30/01/2009 15:48

Dawn - great picture! It makes it all seem so real when you see them wriggling about like that doesn't it.

Hope all the poorly, spotty babes get better soon. Dd is currently sound asleep on the sofa - temp is a bit high and she's been a right misery ever since I picked her up from pre-school, so I'm sure she's coming down with something too I saw the nurse this morning who assures me I can take small amounts of paracetamol to help with my throat and ear pain - that and steam my head is all she can recommend as it's viral not bacterial. Went to mums for lunch today and fell asleep on her sofa for an hour which definately helped too

MrsPuddleduck · 30/01/2009 16:01

Dawni - it sounds as if you did enough Bding to hit your fertile period whether 25 or 35 days. Try and keep optimistic

I feel exhausted after a really stressful week and am on a food hygiene course tomorrow - oh well, I suppose I may learn something new.

I am toying with the idea of not drinking quite so much wine this evening - I wonder whether or not I will manage it!
