Hi all,
CE, Can't say I'm looking forward to the leaking milk bit of this malarky, but I guess that's something else to experience. I can imagine it must have been a little odd!!
MJIM, I'm probably a little bit late with this advice, but I imagine I will have similar issues as yourself with the weight thing as I'm really paranoid about it. Even though I'm tall and have never been overweight, I have always felt that my actual "size" is larger than I want it to be. Pre-PG I was 9st 8 and 5ft 8inches tall, so not at all overweight. But I was a size 12-14 and wanted to be a standard size 12. So I started doing Weight Watchers. I didn't actually go because I wasn't heavy enough to, but I started to use it as a healthy-eating plan. I just bought the books off of Ebay and started to watch my portion sizes. That's when I found out about how much I should be eating. In previous diets, like you, I just reduced dramatically my food intake and couldn't understand why I wasn't losing weight and then I tried Weight Watchers and worked out my points allowance and I had been eating nowhere near enough!! Your body needs a certain amount to function (dependent on your height, weight and lifestyle) and if you don't eat enough, your body just retains everything you eat so you won't lose any weight. I didn't buy the weight watchers food, I just followed the portion sizes and kept within my points allowance. Still having a packet of crisps every day aswell as my meals!! It's the only diet that I've ever done where it really works. Even though I'm not on it now (obviously), I still weight out mince, rice and pasta when I'm making meals as any more than the allowance now, I found too filling and it gets wasted. So, if you want to eat healthily but still keep to a plan, buy the cheap books off of ebay and give it a go, when you're ready. I lost 5lbs in the first week (most of it water!!) and then an average of 1.5-2lb a week until my goal weight. It's a healthy way of doing it.
HC how are you hun? Keeping everything crossed that little beanie remains stuck!! Did the cramping eventually pass? Any news on the Ebay situation? I hope that you get your money back - what a nightmare!!
Bellie, any movement hun or are you off to the shop for more clothes? How frustrating for you!!
Dawni, I used OPKs for the first cycle of TTC and the temping for the second cycle. I got on with the temping much better I have to say. It was knowing when to stop once I'd got my BFP that threw me. I think it was HC that told me to stop taking it the week after I got the BFP to stop myself going mad with worry!!
Mandy, how are you and the bump doing? Everything Ok with you?
Big waves to anyone that I might have missed!!
Well, our little girl was having a good wriggle last night and for the first time, I felt two kicks (or punches ) from the outside. By the time I got DH into the room to feel, she'd moved into her little hiding place. But I'm sure there'll be plenty of time for that.
So I'm 21 weeks tomorrow and we've got the 20 week scan on Thursday, so making sure we get change for the pictures!! Last time we only had enough change for one but the sonographer was so impressed with our pics that she gave us three anyway!! I'm excited although a little nervous as I feel they'll be looking for problems because of the bad blood result I had. But the rate I'm growing and the amount she's moving around, I'm hoping that all will be fine.
Hope everyone is well.
