We went to Bridport the year Lady Diana died and I cried when we had to come home. Was beautiful. We drove right along the south coast. DH planning a trek to Brands Hatch over Easter but threatening a site without electricity. No way ! I need my GHDs to work.

Evening

Mandy have now seen your photo of Felix - he is lovely I just bet you are totally smitten with him!

DawnAS as the others have said, SMP is taxed etc - unfortunately I can't give you the amounts as I am not on just SMP yet and won't be until May (one advantage of working for the NHS I guess).

MJIM I am trying to persuade DH that Weymouth would be a good holiday destination this year - have given up on the idea of going abroad - too expensive and too stressful!

Off out for lunch again tomorrow - I LOVE being on maternity leave A colleague/friend is leaving tomorrow to have a baby so I am going into work to show Sam off (again!) and then out for lunch - and then straight to baby massage!!

HumphreysCorner · 04/03/2009 20:14

Ceebee-the thin based pizzas are definitely the best choice especially Margherita or Hawaian. I always pick Neopolitan base at the Pizza Hut but yum to a proper Italian restaurant. When we went to the racing in Imola, Italy we found a delightful Pizzeria right near our hotel. Yum!

Tattie Ash is.......
Diced carrot & turnip
Diced potato
Diced onion
Garlic
2 oxo cubes
Cubed beef & lamb or pork
Pint of water
6 slices of blackpudding
Throw the whole lot in a big pan or pressure cooker and thats it, very yummy cumbrian tea.....plus slice of bread to mop the juices

Im off for a shower, been too busy on facebook today between seeing to the lads

Much love

D xx

I am so glad you said that - I adore proper pizzas - my fave is ham and mushroom which I assume is good aswell. I figured they were ok as they hardly use any cheese compared to chains like Pizza Hut or takeaway pizzas.

My mouth is watering just at the thought of it Tonight's tea was potato waffles, poached eggs and a tin of spaghetti with mini sausages in - not quite the same

thank you for your lovely and encouraging messages - made me all teary!

Yes he is great and we are sooo smitten but we're a bit anxious now since a robotic community MW came around here yesterday to bully us into force feeding him. We thought we were doing quite well... I'm pumping like an idiot (he just can't take the breast - border line premature as he is) and we're to make him very uncomfortable and cold while he feeds so that he 'takes comfort in the bottle' and doesn't 'forget to finish' the massive portions she prescribed. Hmm. Will see how long we can stick with it but if it's for the best I don't mind at all.

(sorry about the essay)

xx

Well i woke at 5 this morn to DD standing by my bed and asking me to sort her covers out and as was half asleep didnt think and just jumped out of bed so didnt get a chance to do temp today doh. Was also going to do OPK starting today and after sorting DDs bed out i went to the loo and as i finished i thought ' damn bugger and blast forgot to do it. seriously i am so so crap.

Its realy snowing here and so cold. Dont think it will lay as was raining all night. Thats a shame i love snow.

Dawni, Everything will be ok im sure it will. You realy need some me time. perhaps you should go away for a few days and have a break from it all recharge your batteries.

ray81 · 05/03/2009 10:56

Dawni of course we arent sick of you. We are here to listen and help if we can. Its good to get it off your chest.
Its bloody cold here to i just cant seem to warm up and i have this headache i cant get rid of it must be the clomid.

ChocEclair · 05/03/2009 12:21

Mandy - just remember - smile and nod, smile and nod, smile and nod! . Glad you are so smitten - I guess motherhood is what you expected then? (I can't wait!)

Dawni - of course we are not sick of you!!! You really are going through it at the moment though aren't you? I reckon you should book into a health spa for a night and have a jacuzzi, massage and facial!

We are off for our presentation scan at 2.25pm - quite excited about that! I have to drink a pint of liquid which is a bit of a joke at 37 weeks as I'm sure you guys know! Hope she has a bucket at the ready! We are seing the mw straight after so I might ask her if she thinks head is engaging - starting to feel like it might happen soon!

Oh, and I also seem to have have developed a mild case of piles - Oh the joys!

Hi all

I am feeling much better since discovering that as long as the light is off and I am asleep for 10 I don't get any nausea! Yay!

Mandy - I don't like the idea of making him uncomfortable and cold to take a bottle. MJIM's advice sounds good.

....did I ever tell you the story of my SIL who used to dip her newborn babies feet in icy water to wake them up if they fell asleep during a feed.......

Dawni - hope you are feeling better today. It doesn't help your mood when you are running around after the sick either does it? I always begrudge DH being ill on the basis that if it was me I would have to carry on regardless (I know your DH is different though).

Ceebee - good luck finding something low calorie on an italian menu

CE - I still have my solitary pile from last time it never gives me any problems but I am wondering if it will later!

Ray - hope you are feeling better today

HC - know how you feel. I am BOUND to have a boy and am desparate for a pink one (am I allowed to say that?)

Hi to everyone else

Mandy-when DD2 was refusing to feed the MW told me to take all her clothes off to make her colder and not so cosy and it did work, honest.

Good luck ChocEclair. Willmouse-of course you are allowed to say you would like a girl. I would like a boy and don't mind admitting I will be slightly sad if we are having another girl. The sadness will be the fact I will never be able to buy boys clothes and toys.

ray-thanks for the link to your chart. Can now stalk help you.

Went to see the MW for my booking in appointment and told her I managed to get to 10 weeks and she was a tad annoyed I hadn't come sooner. I told her I did phone up 2 weeks ago but couldn't get in until today. She asked if it was planned then said she needed to make an appointment for booking me in. I give up! Scan date is 24th March so only 2 and a bit weeks to go-yay!

Hope all OK.

Afternoon

Had such a busy day - am knackered now and Sam is completely zonked in his cot! Went to visit work, then out for lunch and then straight to baby massage.. no wonder Sam is exhausted! I had a ham and mushroom pizza for lunch and it was delish Just going to have to have a really small tea now but it was worth it!!

Willmouse of course you aren't bad admitting you want a pink one - I was open about wanting another blue one and, if we did have a third (which we absolutely aren't!) I would desperately want a pink one - completely natural!

HC woohoo for the scan date - not long at all! Don't get too excited about buying boys clothes btw - there really isn't much choice out there!!

Dawni don't worry about boring us fgs - you have so so much on your plate at the moment and are dealing with so much crap stuff, it is no wonder you are so Maybe when DS is better and can help with DH, things might start to look a bit brighter?

No snow here at all today - I guess we got ours yesterday!

ray81 · 05/03/2009 15:40

Willmouse for the cure for the morning sickness. I'm not much better today to be honest, got off to a bad start at 5 when i jumped up to see to DD then realised i wouldnt get another 3 hrs and should have taken temp, then after going to the loo realised i should have done opk. Typical !!!

My back realy realy hurts today i dont know if it is just tension or if i'm coming down with something. That would be just typical taking the clomid and then not being able to Bd due to illness .

HC glad you found the link you are much better at this then i am. Yay for scan date i hope i follow on soon.

Been watching True Movies all day. Yay for duvet day.

ChocEclair · 05/03/2009 16:37

Hi everyone

dawni - glad you are feeling a little better today

ceebee - your day sounds fab! I'm craving pizza now though!

HC - woo hoo - not long to wait til scan! But at your mw!

ray - lol at you jumping out of bed. I remember it well! Must be hard temping with other dc to care for!

willmouse/HC - totally understandable that you both would have a preference for a boy/girl

The scan was great! We saw loads - we weren't expecting to see much at all as baby is so crammed in there now! Cute face shot with big lips and nose and even saw hair on it's head! It was still sucking it's thumb like at the 20 weeks scan and yawning! It is head down and back down my left side, but it's not engaged yet! Wishful thinking!

I'm just going to have a peek at ray's chart!

ChocEclair · 05/03/2009 16:41

Hmm, I suspect CD5 is a dud result! How long is your cycle usually? Looks about right so far!
It doesn't matter if you miss out the odd day during AF or soon after. It's the days around ov that are important.
