Morning HC - Does Mr Humphrey know of his impending drain on his resources yet!

I am in a much better mood today - I have no reason to be depressed at all. Next time I do it you all have my permission to give me a virtual slap!

The problem with moping around all day is that you get nothing done. We are setting off to Center Parcs at 7.15am on Friday monrning. I am childminding all day Thursday and I am having a HSG on Wednesday afternoon. That leaves today and tomorrow morning to sort out the packing, purchase food to take, cook meal for 8 people Friday night.....eeek!

I will still be loitering around here all day though!

HumphreysCorner · 20/01/2009 09:37

Oh, can't do a link so hope you all find it.

DH finally knows and gave me a hug and did that weh hey super sperm dance that only men can do.

Hope this new thread brings lots of BFP's and babies.

Ah ha! Found you

How are you HC - does dh know yet? How did he react??? Tell us all the news

Am off to gp in a bit - had a bit of cramping overnight - sure it's nothing to worry about - but I'm going to try and get a referral to the EPU today to put mymind at rest.....will update later x

detoxdiva · 20/01/2009 09:39

Ooop, crossed posts - love dh's super sperm dance!!!

HumphreysCorner · 20/01/2009 09:41

Oh, thank goodness Willmouse you found it. Hope everything goes well for you tomorrow and it will help give you a well deserved BFP.

Mr HC is doing the opposite of me and planning room arrangements and new beds whereas I daren't yet. Did tell him we needed to have a pram conversation which he groaned at. The nausea is so bad that I lie awake all night worrying that is might be twins. I mean, how silly is that?

Better get on. Big wave to all!

Detox - hope you are OK. Keep us posted

HC - what is it with men and their sperm??

Right ladies, I am now ttc BIG STYLE - I have spent a year fannying around (pardon the pun) so I need to work out a strategy:-

  1. Have we decided the b'ding every other day route is best and if so what day do you start and then finish? (iwswim)
  2. Shall I by ovulation precictors - does anyone think that they worked? or are they a waste of money.
  3. Should I do a combination of one and two above?
detoxdiva · 20/01/2009 09:55

Willmouse - soooo excited for your new year of lurve

I did the temping which gave me an idea of my cycle, and I did buy those cheap ov tests from ebay which weren't too great imo.

My advice - bd every other day from when af ends Dh will love it! That way you're not going overkill on dh's troops, but you're always ensuring there's some waiting for when ov occurs! EWCM was my best indicator of impending ov - good luck!!!!!

HumphreysCorner · 20/01/2009 10:00

Willmouse-I still swear by temping firstly as that is more accurate than OPKs but then I think OPKs can back up the temping. Have tried BDing every day and every other and it just so happened to work this time with the every other approach starting on Day 6 (if AF finished if not start on day 8) , 8, 10, 12 then when you get a +ive OPK you BD that night, the next and the next then have a night off then one more for luck. Read about this theory on MN and it has worked this time. Lots of luck and get BDing. Mr Willmouse will be delighted whereas Mr HC is distraught at no more action for a while after 10 months of solid action.

morning all - has it sunk in now HC??

Willmouse, glad to hear that you are more positive today and that the year of love is underway!!

Personally, I started with the opk's but felt that it wasn't working for me, and splashed the cash on a clearblue digital monitor which tells you the low, high and peak days for conception. Made me feel in control, but I still swear it was the HSG that done it afer 18months of trying!!

DH is starting to look forward to some action again - but I keep telling him it will still be a while yet!!!

Found you!

Better bookmark this thread. Still so pleased for you HC, it's so great!!

I am taking Patrick for his jabs this afternoon - not looking forward to it at all!!! Gotta be done though!

HumphreysCorner · 20/01/2009 11:51

What about a dentist appointment for urgent toothache detox? MJIM-don't worry about Naomi's pooing as I don't believe it does much to alter weight gain. As for dieting, you don't need to lose much at all. You are 5ft like me aren't you and my range is between 8-7 and 8-12. Sure you already weigh that.

Dawni-hope you have a good day.

Can't get my head round a due date as with DD2 I got a BFP on CD 25 (3 days early) but this time I got a BFP on CD 23 (3 days early) Now obviously with DD2 OV day must have been CD 14 but this time was CD 12. So, FF has me due 1st Oct but on FF's PG site they have me due 4th Oct and 3w and 2d PG. I suppose only a scan will confirm. My B'Day is the 8th Oct and I will be 40 .

Right, having a cuppa while I can still stand tea.

I have had a shitty morning. Took car to garage to have two tyres replaced and was told rear spring had snapped and then the vauxhall dealership tried to con me out of £250 for two (which aparently I needed) and actually have managed to get it booked in for the morning at the Hyundi garage for £100ish maybe less

Anyway

MJIM - I am pants at diets - I have no advice at all LOL! HC is diet guru on here! I tried the Special K diet last summer - I don't think it worked.

Juanitad - hope Patrick is OK - jabs are never as bad as you think they are going to be.

HC - never mind drinking tea while you can - what are you going to drink instead of Blossom Hill? Does the thermometer for temping HAVE to be basal or can I use the digial one you stick in your ear?

Bellie - I am hoping that I follow your lead and that the HSG does the trick for me!

Hi to everyone else!

Where is ChocolateEclair???? Not like her to stay away for so long - I may have to try and stalk her!

OMG HC - Woohooo - a bit belated, I know, but . And hope this gives hope to the bonkers.

Dawni and Willmouse - . Hope you're feeling OK today.

detox - I had some cramping early on, too. It freaked me out, but I'm sure it's OK if mild. EPU definitely a good idea to put your mind at rest, though.

Bluestar - Glad you're having a good time at work - nice to have a decent distraction. When I was TTC, I always found it helped massively if work was going well.

I was just thinking about CE too. She hasn't been on the antenatal thread for ages either. Hope she's OK, and just busy.

xx and * to all.

Good luck with the diet MJIM. When I accidently got down to 8st 2lb I felt dreadful and it was too low for my heavy bones.

Willmouse-before I met DH I hated sorting out car problems but now DH does it all as he is in the accident repair business he can get most parts cheaper. My only just opened Blossom Hill is looking at me in the fridge. I was thinking that if I hadn't tested I could have used some of it up but as I have tested I can't. What a waste.

Juanitad-very traumatic going for the jabs. When I took DD1 I was so upset I forgot to stay and see the Dr afterwards and the HV had to book me another appointment.

Very cold here, have just been down the garden cutting up some twigs to put on the fire. BBBRRRHHH!!!

Right, off to watch part 2 of Hunter.
