Snowed overnight here too!

Dawni your poor poor Dh - it must be so tiring for him to be dealing with pain 24/7 - no wonder he is so down about it. Good luck with the bloods this morning.

CE so glad you are enjoying your ML - at what other time can you get paid to sit at home and do what you please - those few weeks between finishing work and baby arriving were so special to me

HC thought of you yesterday. Was in John Lewis and there was a woman with 2 girls called Emma and Sophie Was very funny as whilst the mum was paying at the till, the older girl shouted to her mum really loudly 'Ugh Mummy, Sophie has done a poo'

Had a lovely day shopping - we spent 4 hours at the Trafford Centre, I had Nandos for lunch and then just wandered around buying bits and pieces. I did go a bit mad in Next for Sam though

Going to get Sam weighed this morning so MJIM I will let you know.

ray81 · 04/03/2009 10:07

Hey guys i spend one day away and you all go and get realy realy chatty !!!

Dawni your poor DH im so sorry that you are going through such a hard time, i realy cant imagine how hard it must be for you too. I think what you need is some Dawni time just for you, is there any chance that you can book a massage or something just to help you de stress i know it may not be that simple but it may help alittle.
I realy hope the spotting is implanation you are right that you need to be pg this month you need some good news and something to look forward to. Let us know how your bloods go.
God im so emotional at the mo i just want to cry for you you poor thing.

CE glad you are enjoying the ML you should try to sleep as much as you can too, as you'll feel like you havent slept for a hundreds yrs when the baby arrives.

Bellie, cant believe your MIL it must be so frustrating for you. My MIL is a weird one, i get the feeling most of the time that she doesnt like me and i do think it has alot to do with the fact we havent provided grandchild for her (DD isnt my husbands) and i realy think she blames me for that. DH has a sis and she is 37 and doesnt have and never wants children so me and DH are their only hope so to speak. I also get the feeling she only puts up with me as she loves to spend time with DD and if she calls to see if they can come over if DD is with her dad they dont bother coming its awful. DH says i'm being silly but i'm sure im not and i'm not used to not being liked!!! i hope that i am a nice likeable person but not to MIL. Oh dear sorry to rant.

HC if you have a yearning to be a MW then go for it you will never be to old to do it and you'll regret it if you dont. My mum is always trying to convince me to do something like that but until i am either pg or have had another baby i dont think i could spend so much time with pg women. im scared id be very resentful esp as some women just dont want it and id hate that because id be forever thinking 'give it to me i want it '.

Ceebee glad you had a great day shopping. I LOVE next and realy tend to go mad in there for DD most of her clothes are from there. Although i do also love Pumpkin patch, Jasper Conran and Tigerlilly. I have quite expense taste not that we can afford it!!

Well i am mighty confused re temping. My temp seems to be higher everyday. It started as like 97.6 and then i had a 98.9 but yesterday it dropped to 97.9 and then today 98.2. when i woke up yesterday it was 97.9 but then i took it about an hr later just to see and it was 97.6 i thought that you BBT was the lowest one in the day? am i wrong or am i doing it wrong? nothing ever realy works with me the way it should do i do everything arse about face.
DH is sulking as he got frisky last night and i said no as
1 had a headache (could be the clomid)
2 It wasnt the right day we need to save energy for when we have to Bd everyday.
going to start with the OPKs tomorrow. will be on the 2ww soon Bellie.

Need some advise ladies, for about 6 months now for the first 2 weeks of my cycle i get pain inbetween my shoulder blades and it travels up into my neck. it feels like a big ball in my back(does that make sense) should i get it checked i have mentioned it to the doc before and he said stress but nothing seems to help it and if i have a massage it makes it worse not better. You know how us women worry and as it seems to be worse in the first 2 weeks it almost seems hormone related and i would have thought that if it was stress then that would hapen in the 2ww as that is very stressfull.

Sorry to go on ladies.

Hi to everyone i have missed [waves]

MrsPuddleduck · 04/03/2009 10:13

Morning all.

Day is starting badly here, DS2 is brewing for a poo Just put Peppa Pig on so i can have some respite from the potty!

Dawni - hope your blood test goes OK today. I am hoping it doesn't snow here!

Ceebee - I love Next clothes for boys - all the other shops are boring imo.

Detox - can't wait until I feel well enough to have some cravings. At the moment I can only really eat plain food.

Daisy - good luck with the homebirth! I'm not sure whether I could have eaten anything while in labour! Are you going to feed your midwives? I don't know what you do about that!

Bellie - hope things are going better today!

Hi to everyone else

Ceebee74 · 04/03/2009 12:31

I also get most of Josh's clothes from Next - although they don't do Thomas stuff anymore so I tend to go to supermarkets for that. Unfortunately he is going through a phase (that has lasted 9 months so far ) where his clothes have to have a 'character' on - although Next do have a good range of unusual ones like Button Moon (which is his fave!), retro Mickey Mouse etc.

Sam weighs 14lb 7 so has put on 1lb 4oz in 3 weeks Dead on the 50th percentile which is exactly where Josh has always been - just goes to show that birth weight is irrelevant!

Willmouse has the poo arrived yet??

Ray sorry I can't help with temping (HC is the expert )

Bellie · 04/03/2009 13:23

Arrghh - dd been sent home from school for being sick. I thought we were over the sickness bug but clearly not. MIL still no help - dd's clothes covered in sick, but MIL stood and watched me try and wash them out with dd clinging to my leg and ds screaming to be fed. Thank god dh was working from home so he came to the rescue. So thanks for wishing for a better day for me Willmouse, but sadly not to be

Ceebee - will have to go and have a look in next for the retro stuff which sounds fab. Have never looked for boys stuff and really want to avoid the sludge colours and also the 'i'm a monster' slogans if possible, so they sound great. However, have been brought soooo much stuff for ds at the 3-6months stage I think I will be waiting until 6-9 months before I am allowed to go shopping for him!

DS was weighed yesterday - 10lbs 14oz - so he will be into the 3-6 months very soon!

Dawni - hope the bloods go well this morning - how long till the results? Sorry dh had such a crap night.

Ray - no idea what the pain could be - is it tension rather than stress - maybe you are tensing your muscles up? Can't help with temping either I'm afraid. MIL's - doesn't seem to matter what you do if they are going to be funny they will!

Daisy - hope you get the homebirth that you want, have you actually booked it?

Hope everyone else ok

xx

Dawni · 04/03/2009 13:27

Hi guys...

Just got in from work, got bloods done, nurse took 5 vials to be sure every little thing is checked, also got weighed and measured, ive not changed in 2 years !!! Came home on break and DH was throwing up from the morphine, so after a while i tucked him back into bed and he is still there now...DS is still off with tonsilitis and i just wanna sleep !!! Im still spotting, AF will be here soon ....

Ray Im no expert, HC lets me know whats what, but you can look at other peoples charts on FF and there is also a part about questions which i often read...Hope it goes well for you this month x

Willmouse Hope DS2 managed to poo on the pot x

CeeBee Pleased you had a good day shopping, its my favourite past time

HC Hows the MS today ?

Much love to all

D xx

Dawni · 04/03/2009 13:28

Oh...Bellie.....Doc will phone in a week or 2 with the results xxx

Mandy73 · 04/03/2009 13:37

Hi lovely ladies,

All shock and euphoria here Felix was born 26th feb after waters broke 2.30am & a six hour labour before having my planned CS turn into an 'emergency' CS a couple of weeks early (although there was no emergency really) BLISSFULLY happy.

He is beautiful and too light at 2.5 kg but we were allowed home after only two nights as I feel so well. Now it's Planet Baby/military operation around here with breast pumping and force feeding around the clock but everything's going in the right direction and DH is putting in a heroic effort - I feel like a queen.

Lots of love to everyone and thank you for all your support through all this TCC stress & rubbish pregnancy. Couldn't have done it without Bonkers.
xx

Will post pic soon.

majormoo · 04/03/2009 13:50

Congratulations Mandy. Well there are certainly lots of boys being produced on this thread! Glad to hear you are home and feeling well. (what is 2.5kg in lbs-I am still rubbish with kilos!)

MrsPuddleduck · 04/03/2009 13:58

Mandy - congratualtions on the birth of Felix - the more boys we get the better - it may improve my chances of getting a girl

For those interested poo was finally done in pull-up after much hysteria. Can't help feeling it would be easier if house wasn't full of bloody kids

daisyj · 04/03/2009 14:15

ooh, myjob that I didn't know there was a difference. She put my fingers where hers were to have a feel, so I guess palpable, right? Does that still mean Bo would be unlikely/unable to turn at this stage? From the last few pages it doesn't even sound like you need that much more training to be a mw, you're so knowledgeable already - I obviously haven't done enough reading!

Dawni, just wanted to say, so for what your DH is going through, and to you.

Willmouse - god, yet another thing I haven't thought about - feeding the midwives!

And, just finished reading the thread properly - MANDY!!! OMG, congratulations . I keep picturing you with your 16-week bump - can't believe it's now a wonderful boy. So glad you are feeling fabulous - can't wait to see the pics. Well done to you and Mr Mandy.

Must do some work - will be back later to finish catching up properly, instead of just reading bits!

xx to all.

Ceebee74 · 04/03/2009 14:22

Ooh massive congratulations to Mandy - I bet that was a bit of a shock Love the name Felix aswell. (By my reckoning, 2.5 kg is 5lb 8oz (ish) so not that small really).

Lol at the number of boys being produced on this thread meaning the rest of you will all have girls (have to whisper that very quietly otherwise HC will throw something hard in my direction ) Poor Naomi - she needs some female company!!

Willmouse well done to DS2 (again!) - poor lad must be suffering somewhat. Was DS1 this hard to train?

ChocEclair · 04/03/2009 14:33

OMG Mandy! Congratulations! (I was just starting to wonder if you were still managing at work or were getting close - never in a million years thought you would have had it! I'm scared now as you were only due a week before me!!!!) Hope you, DH and baby Felix are well and adjusting to life together as a family ...awww

ChocEclair · 04/03/2009 14:37

pic is FAB btw! He doesn't look too small - just squishy and cute!

Dawni · 04/03/2009 15:10

Mandy Huge congratulations and a big welcome to Felix

detoxdiva · 04/03/2009 15:33

Congrats to Mandy and welcome to Felix! How many weeks early was he?
Glad to hear that you are being treated like a queen though!

DawnAS · 04/03/2009 16:17

OMG Mandy, Felix is absolutely beautiful and definitely doesn't look too small. My nephew was only 5lb 10 full-term and is now a very tall lad!! So many congratulations to you and your DH!!

Dawni, sorry that you had such a bad night with DH hun, it must be awful to be in so much pain and not be able to do anything about it... Very difficult for all of you, especially with your DS being poorly aswell. Hopefully things will be get better soon. Just a waiting game for the results of your bloods now, ho hum!

Bellie, Oh dear, poor you!! Hopefully you'll manage to avoid catching it. Lets hope MIL doesn't get it aswell... Hope everyone is well again soon.

Big waves to everyone else.

I've got a quick question to ask, if you're on SMP (6 weeks at 90% and then down to £117 - or whatever it is - per week for the remainder), do you still have to pay tax and NI contributions for the whole time that you're off? Just wondering how much that would take out of your £117 a week if you do...

I sound really dozy don't I, sorry, I'm just trying to work things out!!

xxx

Just wrote a post and stoopid laptop crashed....

Wow Mandy-congratulations on the early arrival of Felix. He is a good weight and lovely pic BTW.

Dawni-hope your bloods give us a clue. Hugs to your DH & DS.

Bellie-can't believe your MIL stood and watched you. Send her home right now!

Ceebee-another Emma and Sophie eh? With all these boys being born it must mean I will have one.

ray-you need to take your temp at the same time every day and only once. Your temp can change if you take it again straight after. If you wake early and know you won't get 3 hours consecutive sleep then take your temp. I really need to see your chart.

DawnAS-when I got my SMP I paid tax and National Insurance. It will be taken at the standard rate.

Better go and get the girls some tea. Big wave to everyone else.

Thanks everyone..... things have calmed down a little, DH eventually stopped being sick and he had a bath, he ate a bowl of tattie ash and is feeling a tad brighter...DS is playing the guitar, 1st time in ages, his eyes are very blood shot and he is still coughing, but looks a little better also {big phew}, just needs to get rid of the snotty snitch !!

Much love to all

Crikey MJIM-I obviously haven't updated my profile as it still says I'm 37, am 40 in October. Better update it pronto. Thank you, my girls are lovely really but the eldest is such a challenge.

Dawni-yes, what is tattie ash? Glad things seem brighter.
