Evening all - typical - I can't get on the PC all day and you all go and get chatty

Juanitad lol at you getting broody - I look at the photos and think 'thank god I won't ever look like that again'

Fab bump photos - all of them!! None of you look big at all - you are all paranoid

HC for you - it will get better as you know. Just take one day at a time eh? Did the girls have a good time at GP's?

Dawni lol at your drunken post last night aswell - you clearly had a fab night I will e-mail you/your DH in a mo...but I also work for NWAS (in Lancashire) and go to Carlisle every couple of months or so - although obviously I am on maternity leave at the mo. Having said that, I think I have only met your DH a couple of times although have spoken to him on the phone. It is a small world isn't it???

Had a lovely day today - went to aerobics this morning and then we all went to Blackpool this afternoon. We went for a long walk down the seafront, then had a coffee whilst I fed Sam and then went to play on the slot machines for a bit - was great!!

LaDiDaDi · 01/03/2009 21:44

Have had a brief catch up.

Pleased to see you back CE so that we didn't have to go to stalkerish extremes to win you back to us .

DawnAS, I have worked ft, around 50 hours/week, since dd was 8 months old. It's not ideal, sometimes I really miss her as I work shifts so even if I'm not at work I might still ot see her iyswim but it's not bad at all. At least you will have a regular working pattern so you will be able to build regular activities into your week. I read someone on here saying that "Working is an act of love" and I think of that if I feel sad. I'm doing this because I love dd.

Will it be ok if I start to temp from tomorrow am? Just feel like I don't know where I am with this really short cycle. Dp and me had both had a really good feeling this month and now it's gone . On the bright side, more sex and wine this month.

HumphreysCorner · 01/03/2009 22:09

It is fine to start temping tomorrow morning. Lots of luck for this month.

MrsPuddleduck · 02/03/2009 09:47

Morning all!

Just sat here waiting for Ollie to have his first wee of the morning so I can go to Somerfield I have a friend coming over at 10.30 and then mindee at 1pm to 3.20. Dentist for us all at 5pm. So busy busy.

I really sypathise with all you who have to go to work and leave your little ones. It is difficult but after a week or it becomes normal and you just really make the most of the time at weekends etc. I have to work as we only really break even on DH's salary. I decided to become a childminder as I can stay at home with DS2 and pick up DS1 from school and earn some money at the same time. I am lucky that I have enough work to take me through to the end of July, may do a bit of holiday cover in August and then come September should be able to claim full Statutory Maternity Allowance for the full 39 weeks as I had the sense to make class 2 contributions.

I have my busiest childminding month in March (it calms down in April when DS2 and the one I am looking after this afternoon both go to nusery in the afternoons). I don't know how I am going to cope but need the money! On Wednesdays and Thursdays I am going to have to take 2 2year olds on 2 school runs, picking up a 4 year old at the first school and then 2 5 years olds at the second school and then look after 5 children until 5pm. I wont have time to think about how sick I feel. To be honest I am dreading it but we have a holiday to pay for at the end of April.

Morning all...Too much post to read at the mo...
DH's birthday today so we are going out too lunch, this is my last day off and i really dont want to go back !!!
CD19 and the spotting has started {hohum} i wasnt suprised though, my body is shit and im hating it big style !!!!
DH was very concerned after DS went to a party on sat night, he has just told me this morning....DS was talking about the party and who was there, our window cleaners daughter was there and she is 13 (was a house party) her brother is same age as DS...anyways, i cant tell you in detail of what she was doing to the lads or what she was letting the lads do to her but it has put DH off wanting another baby incase its a girl !!!!! Ive got to warn you ladies that these times are MEGGA different to ours and the kids are VERY laid back about sex...sorry ladies but lock up your daughters !!!!! Thank the stars i have a boy.

Sorry for the essay !!!
Back later
D xx

MrsPuddleduck · 02/03/2009 12:43

Dawni - at the party!

I think I will put an order in for another blue one afterall!

Bellie · 02/03/2009 13:03

Dawni everyone says that having aboy is harder, but I think having a dd means more worry - especially after hearing stories like that!

Popping back in to wave, and say hi to CE, Daisy - welcome back!

Sorry ladidadi to hear about af - fingers crossed for next month!

HC hope that the ms gets better soon, I am still going with twins for you

Willmouse - hoping that the wee came and that you got out to do your shopping, I am not looking forward to potty training again - only another 3 years to go!!

Orin has decided that he will not nap during the day - the plus point of this is that he is sleeping from 10.30 - 4.15 in one go, but the downside is that I can't get anything else done!! DH has him now so I can come on here quickly, and then the MIL arrives for the rest of the week [eek] [ not sure how I will cope emotion!]

May be on here a lot more this week

xx

daisyj · 02/03/2009 13:28

Baby has moved lower and is pressing on my groin. Lovely - I have to keep shifting around in my seat and pulling at my waistband. I think it'll be jersey dresses for me for the next two weeks. Well, the ones I can fit into, anyway.

Actually CE and Dawn - I think our bumps all look lovely

dawni - scary teen-sex story. Sometimes I think about what I was like in my late teens/early twenties and I'm scared at the thought of what my daughter might get up to, but 13 is soooo young. Poor things - they have no idea what they are doing and how much they will regret it... My children will not be allowed out on their own until they are 30 - and that's that!

ladidadi - baby dust for the next cycle ***. And enjoy the sex and wine in the meantime .

HC sorry you're feeling so sick - it's miserable, but it will end!

ray - hope you're call with your sis goes OK later.

HumphreysCorner · 02/03/2009 13:36

Dawni-that is . Hope DH has a great B'Day.

MJIM-sounds like a lovely day. Lovely dress Naomi was wearing. Think my MIL was secretly horrified when DD1 was Christened in a yellow HC dress and DD2 wore a pink dress but then they were nearly one. The vicar was strugglng to hold them over the font-lol.

Am praying this MS will ease very soon as I'm sick of it.

Hope all OK.

MrsPuddleduck · 02/03/2009 15:57

Hooray!!!!! He has finally done a poo in the potty! Completely unexpected too! Now all I have to do is get him to go in the smaller potty so we can leave the house! Sorry to all those bored by my potty tales!

MJIM - Naomi looks gorgeous and Bradley is so handsome! I have an heirloom dress I bought for DS1's christening which DS2 wore. DS1 was such a big baby he had size 9-12 months when he was only 4 months old. The date of a christening is now determined by when the baby grows into the dress! DS2 was 8 months old!

HC - hope you feel better soon. I have been terrible over the weekend but am OK today.

Daisy - gosh , not long to wait now then!!

Bellie - at least you will get some help for the rest of the week!

Hi to everyone else!

Dawni · 02/03/2009 16:50

Willmouse WooHoo for the Poo

Gotta say Daisy I worry when DS goes out which luckily is'nt every weekend YET !! But i am so thankful we have a son, when i drop DS off at party's etc, the girls look like little tarts !!! Just like i probably did at 16...I used to wear very little makeup until i got to a friends house then whoooohoo It was slapped on ! DS tells DH everything, but not me which im pleased about, but DH tells me snippets, because the less i know the better IYKWIM, but i do know he is sexually active...I am petrified of being a grandparent before the age of 40 !!!

HC Hope your feeling better, the MS must be driving you mad !

MJIM So pleased to put a smile on your face, i cant even remember typing it !!

Bellie As much as i would adore a baby girl (for pink reasons), seeing my friends girls makes me realise how much easier a boy is, we girls a very high maintenance...boys just chill

Ray Hope you managed to say happy birthday to your neice !

Hello to everyone else

much love

D xx

Dawni · 02/03/2009 16:53

Sorry to all the girls....ive just read back and possibly feel bad, did'nt mean to offend those with girls !!!!!!!

Bellie · 02/03/2009 16:56

woo hoo for Poo!!

Dawni - I hope you are right about the boy just chillin!! DD seems to becoming higher maintenance every day - she is very complex with her emotions - at 4!! - help me when she enters the teenage years!

Willmouse - you are kidding about getting help right - this is the MIL who had her 70th party here when I was 38 weeks and didn't lift a finger - somehow don't think it is going to change when she has a baby to coo over .

Hope everyone is having a good day - off for the next feed!

ray81 · 02/03/2009 18:50

Hey guys,

Well IKEA was brilliant, i am such a kid i loved it spent 4 hrs walking around and still didnt see everything which means i have to go back Yippieee.

I didnt speak to my neice i text my sis to say i would go up there and take her card over and she wasnt in so i'm going to take the card over tomorrow afternoon. I was waiting for the ' you dont care enough to see her on her birthday' but it hasnt come yet so we will see.

Hope everyone has had a great day.

Dawni so sorry you started spotting, gutted i'm still routing for you though. Heres hoping. have you thought anymore about the fertility treatment and going private?

Ceebee74 · 02/03/2009 20:49

Evening all

Dawni am also about the party and it deffo makes me glad that I have got 2 boys!! When I think back to when I was 13, I don't even think I even really knew what sex was...how times have changed!

Willmouse well done to your DS2 - and you are not boring me as I will be exactly the same when I stop burying my head in the sand start potty training Josh properly

MJIM glad the dedication went well - and the photos are gorgeous (of course!) Fortunately Dawni's story about the party has counteracted any yearning I may have for a girl

Hi to everyone else

Sam seems to be a bit happier this week...so he is now Mr 'Not quite as grumpy pants'

HumphreysCorner · 02/03/2009 20:50

Dawni-I suspect FF will mark todays spotting as implantation as it is on DPO 7. Hope it is implantation. I'm going to lock both of my girls up when they become teenagers. Chastity belts included.

Willmouse-well done Ollie with his poo. Have given up with Sophie as I feel too sick and it stresses me out every time she wees herself.. Will try again in the Easter hols.

Big wave!

Ceebee74 · 03/03/2009 09:12

Morning ladies - am going shopping in a bit and treating myself to lunch!

Sam needs some 3-6 months clothes (we seem to have lost quite a few of DS1's on the way and the ones we have left are a bit worse for wear) so I am off to get some lovely new ones

Dawni have sent you/your DH an e-mail so you know who I am!

Have just added some new photos of Sam onto my profile page - although I don't know why my photos are always so small compared to everyone elses .

MrsPuddleduck · 03/03/2009 09:48

Morning all

Feeling more relaxed now - I'm sure it wont last

HC - sounds like a good idea to delay potty training for a while. I don't know how I managed it as I feel sick - and I am nowhere near as bad as you!

Dawni - I love boys too. I do want a pink one next though - we need to bolster the female numbers in this house!

Bellie - forgot about your MIL LOL - she really is shocking!

MJIM - we all know your DS's name! I'm not sure why we hide them anyway and Naomi is never DD is she? You are the midwife in the making - when does the placenta start to take over??

Ceebee - how old is Josh? DS2 is 3 at the end of the month. There is no point starting too early with boys - they don't get the hang of it. I waited until DS1 was almost 3 as well.

Ray - well done on managing to wangle a return trip to Ikea. I never get to go as it involves driving on the motorway (which I don't do) so it involves taking DH who hates the place and will only go if we need a specific item. Were you after anything in particular?

Right, off to catch up on some TV of the sky planner!

HumphreysCorner · 03/03/2009 09:59

Morning ladies

Feeling much better today, a bit dizzy but I can cope with that.

Dawni-you haven't put todays temp on yet.

Ceebee-can't wait until I feel like lunching out again.

Willmouse-the placenta takes over at approx 12 weeks so that is when the sickness should stop. Sometimes it is earlier.

Have a good day, back soon!
