Hi all! Having the day from hell here - I have never seen so many bloody chicken pox on one child He is a complete wimp too just bathed him in Oilatum while he screamed hysterically and then he screamed and kicked some more while I put Eurax on. Shit - just remembered have forgotten to give him Piriton and he is asleep now = bloody pregnancy brain has kicked in early - or could that be the sleep deprivation having been woken up at 5am two days on the trot - I never realised Nick Junior started so early

Sorry that was me me me.

HC - hope you keep on voming (in the nicest possible way ) I did my clearblue digital test yesterday like a fool I should have waited a week - could you perhaps do another to put your mind at rest. Can I also say that as nice at the antenatal threads are - I am keeping clear as they seem to be full of women making eachother hysterical and paranoid about every last twinge (I don't mean you obviously - you are my fellow Octoberite and can do no wrong!) I am just saying I don't think it helps.

Dawni - hope you get on OK at the doctors. Can you afford the private referal fee (£100ish I reckon) - you will get to see a consultant within a fortnight and then can switch back to the NHS to do the tests.

Must dash - need to make a shopping list as I am sending DH to Asda tonight and he will forget loads of things if it isn't comprehensive!

HumphreysCorner · 12/02/2009 16:33

for you MJIM. Willmouse-was just thinking about ordering another digi conception indicator test but wasn't going to mention it on the antenatal thread. I don't know, but it seems so different to my July 06 AN thread so I know what you mean. Are you going to buy another test? Dare I say it but I'm going to bid for a doppler. I know most people are against them but I'm willing to try a 2nd hand one I've found on Ebay. Poor DS with his CP.

Lots of lovely snow is falling here and I am feeling sicker than earlier.

Big wave!

Hi all

Willmouse dear me, what a time your having, sounds like your little one is very unhappy with his chicken pox! I didnt know i could go private, but to be honest cash is not so good, changed gas/electric supplier and just had to pay nearly £400 to finish !!!

Well....Seems DH doesnt even have a hip to speak of !! Pelvis is very deformed and thigh bone is thinner than a childs, so not as straight forward as we first thought and certainly no hip replacement can be done. He will go back soon and surgeon will put him to sleep while they inject local aneasthetic into the bone thats there and see if it takes away the pain, if it does im not sure where we go from there, but he was talking about fusing the thigh bone to the pelvis which means he will have no movement at all in his stump and probably never walk again unaided, he certainly wouldnt be able to stand with his artificial leg on. Depending on how things go he may not have the chance to wear a leg again, and he then wont be able to carry on with body building shows. We shall just have to wait and see what happens now {big sigh}
Im off to the docs at 5.40....

Back later

D xx

MrsPuddleduck · 12/02/2009 17:27

Dawni - good luck with Dr - I hope you get an understanding one.

HC - glad you are feeling sick again The digital tests are a bit expensive considering the result doesn't last very long. DH thought they were re-usable !!!

HumphreysCorner · 12/02/2009 18:08

Willmouse-have just bought a test from here. I took a photo of my test as the result was gone within 24 hours.

Dawni-you'll be at the GP now but crikey, what a difficult thing for your DH. No more body building would be awful.

Check back later to see how you got on.

Right ladies, been the docs and had the dog to the vets for his check up, what a tiring day !!!

The doctor is refering us to the hospital so we can go through all the options available, which wont be much as we have DS and they dont think we are worth the hassle (been there and got the T shirt twice) but we will go again, at least i may get clomid and DH can have his troops tested again, last time we were there was 2004 so im sure things may have changed . Doc also said today should be my CD1, i must'nt count from first spot but should wait till full on bleed....SO.... Can i change FF ???? HELP.... I cant re-do my clearblue cause I'll then be a day behind, I'll just leave that for this cycle, it will be ok, i know what day it is !!!
So there you go ladies, a life in the day of me

I wish i was a drinker, id get drunk !!!!!

Laters

Dawni · 12/02/2009 19:38

Got it...Started a new graph, but now looks like cycle 2 was only 5 days !!!!! and now this is cycle 3, do you think it will matter ???? Or have i buggered the whole thing up

HumphreysCorner · 12/02/2009 19:57

Dawni-you can delete a cycle if you click on cycles on the left hand menu then select delete cycle. I only count AF from the fullest flow. How long until the referral?

Hello everyone,

Dawni what a mixture of emotions you must have, your poor DH. It's good that your GP has referred you but it must be difficult if you don't feel like you will get anywhere. Try to stay as positive as you can. I've not gone on fertility friend yet, I completely forgot to start temping this month so I will have another month of just trying without any extras iyswim.

I would be very annoyed about the snowglobe gift myjobismum, how irritating. I hope that you get it sorted in time for her birthday.

Willmouse your ds sounds ery sad with his chickenpox, I hope he's on the mend soon.

Keep feeling sick HC although it does seem like an odd thing to wish on someone .

MrsPuddleduck · 12/02/2009 20:36

Dawni - at least you have managed to get a referral - which is good. I had a day 21 blood test and the HSG. DH did a sperm test which he is really narked about now LOL!

HC - don't know whether or not to do another test. Really kicking myself for wasting the other one I tell you what though, I am bursting out of my bra so the hormones are obviously on the increase!

Ceebee74 · 12/02/2009 20:46

Evening

Dawni what a day you have had I bet your DH is devastated at the thought of having to stop body building but hopefully it won't come to that. As for the TTC, maybe, just maybe, Clomid will do the trick for you?

HC glad you are feeling sick again - always a good sign eh? Just take each day as it comes and before you know it you will be over 12 weeks pg and maybe you can relax a little?

Is anyone else worried about Bellie??

me too, ceebee, I am a bit worried about Bellie. She last posted last Thursday, which was the day she was going in for her cs. Like bb says, maybe the craziness of having a newborn means MN is not a priority right now!

pureeandpearls · 13/02/2009 07:55

Hoping Bellie is well xxx

Ceebee74 · 13/02/2009 08:37

Am sure Bellie is just busy with a toddler and a newborn - but does she not realise we are all here waiting with baited breath

HumphreysCorner · 13/02/2009 11:59

Still no Bellie then? Maybe we will hear after the weekend.

Hope all OK.

Hi all, sounds like everyone is bouncing, shame no Bellie yet, but her proirities now will be home life, maybe she will pop on over the weekend.

DH feeling a bit better now, just the thought of getting help and not being in pain for much longer is a relief, the rest will fall into place and we will manage no matter what.

MJIM Pleased Naomi is doing well, its good to hear, and thank goodness about the snow globe

I am feeling more positive again, that week prior to AF just kills me, i get so low its unreal I should hide away till its over !!! I think its about time we done stats for our Willmouse so she can be at the top of the list before i get my BFP and beat her to it !! LOL

Bellie · 13/02/2009 14:07

Hello all,

so sorry that you have got worried about me - a mixture of overwhelmed and some drama I'm afraid!!

Firstly - for those that were guessing a boy - you were right!! Orin James arrived screaming very loudly at 14.48 last Thurs 5th Feb weighing 10lbs 6 oz

We had a bit of a rough ride though. Firstly it took over an hour for the anethetist to get the spinal in as I was so huge I couldn't arch my spine enough and they hit my spine bone about 5 times before they finally managed it. Orin was born in meconium due to the stress (they think).

In the recovery room it started to go slightly wrong however - Orin was struggling to regulate his blood glucose levels, but they were not too concerned as apparently this is quiet common in larger babies. Got moved to ward and dh went home, later that night Orin was really struggling with breathing too and started to go hyper glycemic.

He was moved to the neonatal unit later that night and put on a feeding tube and 2 hourly feeds and 2 hourly gluscose monitoring. It took 4 days for him to stablise and we all eventually got home on Tues.

Since then he has been the perfect boy - eating and sleeping like a dream and generally being a little cutie! DD adores him and can't wait to get home from school to see him.

Huge congrats to willmouse, and glad to hear the symptoms are returning HC.

Sorry you are having such a tough time at the moment dawni.

Will try and post soon xx

HumphreysCorner · 13/02/2009 14:22

Bellie congratulations on the birth of baby Orin-I knew you would have a boy.

Dawni-hope things look up for you very soon.

MJIM-that's a good gain for Naomi and you are right to ignore centiles. Bidding ends on Sunday for the doppler so fingers crossed.

Hi to everyone else. Are we missing ChocEclair now?

Bellie huge congratulations to you and what a lovely name and he made my Sam look positively tiny in comparison!! Glad everything is ok now and Orin sounds like an angel!

HC obviously this thread is just 'boys galore' so you may get the blue one you want

MJIM great news about Naomi - obviously whatever you are doing is working!
