Everyone busy today?
9.10pm here, so not long before my bedtime
Haven't put any photos on FB yet, dd1 has a dancing thing on at school tomorrow so want to include a few from that, if I manage to take any, with keeping dd2 off the stage
Feeling quite teary again, not sure why, have had a few episodes of this in the last few weeks, hormones must be reorganising themselves.......

BellaHarry · 05/04/2009 12:17

Morning. Decided I will speak to gp at my apt on 27th. I'm off to Paris tomorrow so should be happy but, nothing!really don't want the meds but maybe they will get me a therapist for free, last time I tried I was on waiting list for a year and no news! Just pilled me up! Hopefully with baby on way they'll hurry things up! Thanks for all your kind words of support x

BellaHarry · 05/04/2009 15:04

Just bought a magazine and thought I'd share the offer; you can save 25% each time you shop on www.tomeetipee.co.uk between 1st April and 22nd May! Just use: PB09

BellaHarry · 05/04/2009 15:05

Sorry that should be PAB09

BellaHarry · 05/04/2009 15:08

And the website is wrong! It's www.tommeetippee.co.uk...I actually left my handbag in the car overnight parked on main road and then today left it in a caffe! Someone brought it to me! I am a mess

teeheelaydee · 05/04/2009 18:40

Try and have a good time in Paris Bella - a change of scene might help or at least give you a chance to chat to DH in a neutral environment. Hopefully there will be some help for you on the 27th - can you see anyone earlier? Perhaps while you are still off school?

Things sound pretty promising for you both Ei and Mollie Perhaps your last blow out for a while Ei - when will you be able to test? We may even be able to start our new thread in AN clubs? (Calm down teehee!!)

Scully Sorry to hear you are feeling a bit [blue] Probably the hormones as you say but that doesn't make it feel any easier does it? I think it all seems quite understandable being so far away from everything that was normal when DD's were born. Keep posting it might help.

I've been feeling a bit grumpy pg lady the last couple of day - EVERYONE keeps telling me they think I am going to be overdue - yes lovely thanks !! and asking me if I'm fed up yet - well I wasn't until people kept going on about it so you see my plan to just carry on as normal is not working - I will keep trying though!!

Also I have a bit of a dilemma - My brother has given us a car seat which we put in yesterday. Basically you need thumbs of steel to move the handle which you have to do EVERY time you get it out of the car and with me being little it is a total nightmare - we are thinking of not using it and getting and getting one that also fits on the pram chassis - but I feel so guilty - that I might offend him - what does everyone think?

FruitynNutty · 05/04/2009 21:25

Evening all

Bloody typical. I've been feeding for the last 4 hours solid and Jack has just downed 3oz of Aptamil. I swear he's not getting anything from me - you'd think not from the way he guzzles the bottle

Bella What is it with you and handbags woman?
Have a great time in Paris! I'm sure you will. A nice bit of change of scenery might be all it takes

Teehee I would get another car seat. Can't you tell your bro your mil or someone from DH's family bought you one that fits on chassis?

Scully I think everyone has been busy enjoying our wonderful weather! Looking forward to seeing the photos btw!

We need a new thread title ladies! Only 16 more posts before the end! Think, think, think........................

cricri · 05/04/2009 21:54

Fruity I used to feel exactly the same when Elise had her bottles of formula in the evening. He is getting plenty from you but taking a bottle is much easier than feeding from the breast. Marathon feeding sessions are such hard work, I really feel for you as I remember all too well what it was like. Hope you're being looked after and are taking it easy.
Mollie and Ei I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you both!
Teehee Agree with Fruity regarding the car seat - you don't want to be struggling, especially when your baby gets heavier. Also at people telling you you're going to go overdue. What do they know anyway and they must realise how frustrated it makes you feel! You've got another 4 days yet in any case.
Scully Pg hormones are such a nightmare, hope you feel better soon.
Bella Hope you have a lovely time in Paris - I'm off to France for a couple of weeks in May and I can't wait!
Went for a lovely walk by the sea with my mum this afternoon in the sunshine We ended up walking 9 miles in total Elise was in her buggy and had an al fresco feed on a picnic bench.
Last night I went went out for dinner with my NCT friends (first night out without the babies ) and we'd arranged to go out early because of all my problems with Elise in the evenings. She didn't even last as long as she normally does - I ended up going home at 9pm because DH texted to say she wouldn't stop crying. Of course as soon as I got home and fed her she promptly fell asleep! Tonight she's been an angel - asleep in the sling since 7.30pm and I'm actually going to have to wake her up to put her to bed. Must be all that sea air!
Hope everybody else is OK.

scully · 06/04/2009 03:49

Well a successful morning shopping, look what I'm going to layby this. Two of them actually, one for dd2 and one for the baby. They'll be side by side in dd2's room. Both the cot and dd2's bed are beech so should match nicely with the beech trim. And I'm only paying $225 for each one, not the price listed there
Was originally going to get some drawers from Ikea, but as they don't do layby, would have meant paying up front for them rather than being able to pay them off over 8-10wks. Buying them at Target means I can pay them off slowly, which won't stretch us financially.
There is also a matching toybox and change table which I won't get yet, will wait until dd2's room is reorganised and I see either fits.

FruitynNutty · 06/04/2009 07:26

Bargain Scully I love the layby system you have over there. I used to work in Sunglass Hut and we did layby there (American owned). I don't think anywhere else does it here. Dunno why.

I returned that baby chair and got this instead It's a lot of money but did I tell you the childminding grant I applied for finally came through?
I'm hoping they'll allow me the baby chair! I don't see why it wouldn't count as EYFS material. I've ordererd myself a triple pushchair too this one It looks huge but I'm allowed to spend £500 on a triple so thought I'd take full advantage I'm hoping they will just visit me once then I can sell it - although the small print says they could visit more than once so I'm trying to think of something...... DP's been looking for a new pooter (£500 allocated) and a digital camera (£200) I've also ordered a load of Multi-cultural dressing-up clothes (Ofsted will love that) and some 'Orchard Toys' games. Gotta go and do some more spending (shame I can't spend it on whatever I like).....................................

scully · 06/04/2009 12:34

Love the bouncer and pram Fruity I also liked the baby beanbag which came up on the same page as the bouncer, it looked very comfy.
Yep, big fan of layby, just makes more sense then expecting people to pay for larger items with credit, if you don't have the cash.
Measured up dd2's room and can't really fit the change table but can fit the toybox, so still thinking about that
Need to go have a shower, dd2 just threw up in our bed. Luckily I caught it, literally , so saved the bedding but now all I can smell is vomit, lovely......
She is currently sitting on dh's lap in the lounge and I've given him a muslin, just in case she goes again. Told him it was good practice, to remember what muslins are for
dd1's dancing was great, she was in the front row of her group and remembered everything. I have it on video but not sure I'll get it onto FB. Will put photos on there soon though, promise.......

Emmsy1 · 06/04/2009 14:17

rang doctors this am to see if results of scan on liver and gall bladder in yet.
They have come back and every thing seems pefectly normal!? no other message left by doc on computer, so intending to go on holiday on friday and have a really good time! will ask them if they are going to retest bloods at a later date as GGT was 125! Feel gr8 today big weight lifted off my shoulders. Will be having a few drinks on holiday, as havent had one for 6 weeks, can't wait!

HerNameWasLola · 06/04/2009 23:09

Emmsy great news!

Hello everyone, sorry been awol, it was DH's birthday today, and clever clever me decided it would be a good idea to have 21 of us for dinner on saturday... We did it at Dh's parents' place as they were away and have a big conservatory so we put 3 tables together, and borrowed a lot of chairs! It wasn't too stressul, we got caterers DH knows to do the main dish for the main course (bouf bourgignon - yummy! Had left overs tonight! ), my mum did some incredible puddings as DH's birthday present and I did the starter, and the bits to go with the main course. Plus setting it up (with DH), table decs etc etc etc... Had a great night, but I was SHATTERED! I'd intended to have a lie down before everyone arrived, but of course we ran out of time. So that's why I haven't been posting, friday night and saturday were shopping, cooking, organising etc, then yesterday was collaping in the garden falling asleep in the sun with a magazine! I was SOOOOOO tired. And what with 4 dogs and a baby in the house over night none of us got much sleep either! But soon I'll be thinking 4 hours is tons, right?!? It took FOREVER to clear up, we didn't get home til 8.30pm last night! Then today has been taken up with work cock ups, taking Nemo to have his stitches out, trying to spend some birthday time with DH, oh, and our anomoly scan!

It went really well, it was lovely to see the baby again, and the consultant seems confident that all is well which is the main thing. Oh, and one other small detail, while he said he wouldn't stake his life on it, he, his regirtrar and the midwife who was present all think we're having A GIRL!!! Poor DH, not quite the birthday present he was hoping for! He's not disappointed or anything silly, how could anyone be disappointed with a healthy baby? But I know he was hoping for a boy. He'll get over it though!

I am ACTUALLY working tomorrow! So I won't be around, although I could fnish quite early... fingers crossed! So I thought I'd better come on to explain my absence! Be back soon as I can for a less ME post Lots of love to all, especially those having a tough time atm xx

Waves to everyone ((((((((((((waves))))))))))))

Molliemooma · 07/04/2009 18:48

Piper Thank you thought I'd try subtle and see how long it took someone to notice but you were too clever Sorry to hear the m/s is still bad, fingers crossed it eases soon.

I actually got the BFP yesterday first thing, was going to post at work but started spotting about 10.00am and completely fell apart, went home and lay on the sofa feeling very sorry for myself. Did another HPT in the afternoon still +ve, spotting stopped about 7pm last night and nothing since, so not sure what that was about, I thought I'd had my implantation bleed when I spotted on Fri/Sat who knows?? Very scared, happy, nervous, petrified, terrified you know the score! I've probably cursed it now by outing myself on MN but I'll need the support whatever happens

piper84 · 07/04/2009 18:59

No you havent cursed yourself silly woman This is great news A good few ladies on my AN thread and spotting in the first few weeks, maybe go and see your doctor though for some reassurance. We are nearly at the end of this thread. What a lovely way to end it

piper84 · 07/04/2009 19:01

that was supposed to read had spotting* not and

FruitynNutty · 07/04/2009 19:03

WAHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYY Mollie I knew my dream would come true Now we just need Ei and you can call me Psychic Fruity

How excited are you????????!!!!!!!!!
Try not to worry about the spotting, although I know you can't help it.

Right girls,

We have four more posts left!!!!!

HerNameWasLola · 07/04/2009 19:04

MOLLLLLLIEEEEEEEEE!!!! SO proud of you for taking the first step to graduation!! What's brought on this positive thinking?!?! Will be keeping everything crossed for you until your first scan, one day at a time lovely lady. Do you know how you will get an appt? Have you spoken to your consultant? Although I seem to remember your consultant being a bit crap last time you saw them? () You absolutely shouldn't have to, but fwiw if I were you and there's no way of guaranteeing an nhs scan at the right point I'd book a private scan for just after 7 weeks. You can always cancel it if you get a better offer (ie a free one ) but I found it really helpful to have something to work towards, a definite date when I knew I should know what was happening one way or the other. Up to you, but something to think about maybe? Am REALLY REALLY thrilled for you lovely

Bella hope you're having a lovely time in Paris (benvy]) and that you're managing to enjoy it despite feeling down. I think one of the (many) problems with pg hormones is that your body/mind quite often seems to take no notice of how you think you "ought" to be feeling, you may feel ok when you expect to feel sad, or you may feel crappy when you think you "should" be feeling fine. Do listen to the other ladies' wise words about getting support though, if it is A-ND it will only get worse if you bottle it up. Take care xx

Piper for 10 weeks but for TWO stays in hospital!! They tell us to be careful for what we wish for don't they? Are you going to have a nuchal? Am dying to graduate you, let us know when you feel ready

Scully like the chest of drawers, great price too! Am thinking about buying this in white but with these baskets with half my "health in pg" grant (), though obv in my head I have spent the whole lot many times over "changing unit? health in pg grant. Pg Yoga? Health in pg grant. Active birth classes? Health in pg grant. AN classes? Health in pg grant. Curtains for the nursery? Health in pg grant... etc etc etc"

to Fruity Cricri Scully Emmsy Teehee Mibbes & Ei, I think we're the only ones not on holiday atm aren't we? !

HerNameWasLola · 07/04/2009 19:12

New thread title....hmm... shall we have the same one but spelt properly just to show Georgie up?

FruitynNutty · 07/04/2009 19:30
