Hi All, have been on a couple of ttc hreads but due to sad arrival of af yesterday and x2 negative pg testa thought I'd start a September one.

We are ttc#2 we already have dd(2) and had a mc in September this will be cycle 3 since mc.

Mc hit me hard, more so than other adverse life events for some reason also head full of other stuff such as trying to complete a Post grad Diploma in Cognitive Therapy!!

Anyway want to try to be optimistic and hopeful and not (too!) obsessive this month!

Anyone else fancy joining?? xx

Good luck to you all

cantwaitforxmas · 19/12/2008 09:36

Congratulations again Olivo.

Okay after complaining about having no symptoms to play at spotting I woke up this morning feeling really nauseous. Nearly threw up when I was brushing my teeth and the smell of coffee is making me really queasy. Apparently it is possible to feel sick even before your period is due but probably reading too much into a winter bug .

gettingstarted · 19/12/2008 09:54

Congratulations Olivo, it will be such an amazing Christmas for you both!

littlepea72 · 19/12/2008 10:12

Hi cantwait, i never get symptoms except feeling sick with the smell of coffee or drinking it, so it could be a symptom. I can feel sick coming upto my period, but i know with the coffee...that was it for me. So good luck & i hope its happened for you, when can you test??

cantwaitforxmas · 19/12/2008 11:09

Thanks littlepea - I can't test until xmas eve which is why I think that it is too early to feel sick. It's strange though - I feel much better now that I am up and have managed a cup of tea and a biscuit. Trying not to get too carried away but feeling hopeful all the same. I never feel sick coming up to my period and I don't really feel ill so you never know.

olivo · 19/12/2008 11:19

can't wait, i have been feeling sick for about a week now - i'm 15DPo so from about 8DPO. it was the gagging when brushing my teeth that got me - that''s what i had with dd and what prompted me to test. good luck when yuo do, it sounds hopeful.

littlepea72 · 19/12/2008 12:00

Not sure what is going on with me, the ovulation kit still says im not ov, but i had lower pain in left side for 2 days. I know its to early for it to happen, so im not sure what that pain was ....i think i should ov on the 25th dec, but i will attack the hubby every other night just incase! Should stop thinking about this so much!

gettingstarted · 19/12/2008 16:32

Just got BFN, due tomorrow. Must not test next month and just wait, it's not nice. I am trying to work out how many days I need to do BDing for (or the nasty syringe version that is worse than you'd think) Tried 3 days this time. Do I go for the whole week? Did it the day ov kit showed positive then next 2, any tips?

littlepea72 · 19/12/2008 17:24

Gettingstarted, i use the ov kit also, always did the business on the day or the day after, it just doesnt seem to be working for me that way. Im a bit confussed about my ovulation and i am questioning the kit. So this month i am going to start now and do it every other day, then when i ov which should be about the 25th, then i will try 4 days in a row...if that doesnt work then im stumped! I dont know anything about using the syringe but i would of thought its just the same (well the outcome anyways lol), i dont envy you on that one
If you have an idea on when you ov then i would start before it, it can only help. Its just so heartbreaking when you get you BFN, trying not to get excited doesnt work....hope you get a better result next month

TrixieBelden · 19/12/2008 18:22

Hurray for olivo!! So exciting! Hope the feeling sick isn't too intrusive.

Sorry for the BFN, gettingstarted. Here's to a better result next time.

2manychips · 19/12/2008 19:48

TrixieBelden · 19/12/2008 21:33

Sans04 · 20/12/2008 06:40

sorry my mistake

HeadFairy · 20/12/2008 15:16

Many congrats 2manychips!!!!!

Sorry to hear about the bfn gettingstarted, I've always tried to start the bd fest just before I ov, so there's some swimmers hanging around when the egg does pop out. It's hard if you don't have a regular cycle, I usually ov on cd 15, but I watch my cervical mucus like a hawk (and check the position of my cervix if I remember) and as soon as it's showing signs of my fertile time (ewcm and cervix very high and soft) then we start bding, I don't wait for the positive on an opk. It worked twice for me.

sans I don't know what that pain might be, I hope it's implantation. Difficult to tell unless you feel it yourself. I usually know what implantation pain feels like, but I think it's different for everyone. Some don't even feel it at all. I'm keeping all things crossed for you!

I've updated the list, I hope I've got everyone right...

littlepea72 my "oh so fertile friend" who managed first time swears on pregnacare + doing it every day for a week after OV was +tive plus lying with legs up for AN HOUR - clearly not as much work to take home with her as I have , I've only managed half an hour... but she was very successful. Have told donor the week plan. Booked him in from Sat 3rd at the moment, at least I know what to expect this time . No AF today as expected, but horrendous thrush after antibiotics this week -evil- pharmacist said nothing was certified safe for treatment when ttc, but taking the risk with cream as insides are on fire . Definite conspiracy!
