Hi All, have been on a couple of ttc hreads but due to sad arrival of af yesterday and x2 negative pg testa thought I'd start a September one.

We are ttc#2 we already have dd(2) and had a mc in September this will be cycle 3 since mc.

Mc hit me hard, more so than other adverse life events for some reason also head full of other stuff such as trying to complete a Post grad Diploma in Cognitive Therapy!!

Anyway want to try to be optimistic and hopeful and not (too!) obsessive this month!

Anyone else fancy joining?? xx

MMM let me know how u get on at the doc, i've got appt friday but bit worried they'll just fob me off as I read a thread on here about doctors claiming LP defects don't exist/aren't a problem. I've upped my b6 to 200mg also after reading something on here, was only taking 50mg suppliment (plus however much b6 is in my multivit). I also don't absorb all the nutrients I consume because of my gastric bypass so if 200mg doesn't help this month I may have to up it again. Where did you get the progesterone cream from? May give that a go too.

MissieMoosMummy · 28/01/2009 17:02

Issy, I looked at various sites & a few books, and they all seem to give a different minimum LP (10-12 days), but all suggest that you can only have a CP if your LP is below whatever they state. Mine is only 9 days, but beanie stayed for 18 days, would that still be considered a CP? It's all getting a bit confusing, but I figure if I can lengthen my lp to 12 days I should be home free(er).

FS, I've booked an appointment with the doc for tomorrow morning (I don't mind leaving my Slimming World meeting early, as I can't be bothered to explain why I might have gained weight & still scoffed pizza over the weekend) If she attempts to fob me off about LP defects, I will probably ask her to explain her theory of conception & fill in any gaps in her knowledge if necessary .

Where did you get 200mg supplements? I have 50mg ones, and plan to take 2 a day this month. I have ordered some progesterone cream from here, there are a few users on this site for whom this worked in the first cycle (and a few who haven't seen any changes). I'll let you know how I get on!

Hi everyone, just dropped in to see how everyone is doing. Im in Germany now and just got online again. Ive been trying this month, not that i think anything has happened as we have been so busy, i dont even know when i ov'd this month! Hope you are all well!!

I though my AF was due by yesterday but have some pains but it hasn't arrived yet. Would love to test as I have sore nipples which was a pregnancy symptom for me last time I think but then my temp has been down for 3 days so i don't really think there is any chance - probably for some reason my whole cycle is on go slow I'm now on CD 40 something. The torment. Now b4 you think I am strong willed not testing it's just 'cause I'm away on an emergency dash to sick MIL's and didn't bring any tests with me. Hope to be going home tonight so if no AF will test in the morning.

ForcesSweetheart · 29/01/2009 18:18

Good luck with testing tomorrow morethanchocolate. I hope the sore nips are a good sign for you.

littlepea have u lived in Germany before? Do you like it? I'd love a Germany posting but hubbys not keen on going abroad so near his retirement. We're awaiting a posting order any day now to who knows where.

MMM i only have 50mg suppliments, taking 2 morning and 2 evening. Will see what gp says tomorrow morning and prob order some progesterone cream tomorrow if she has no convincing objections. Plan to suggest to her that i try the b6 and prog cream for the next 2 cycles and if no improvement then i'll have been trying 6 mths and i'll want her to try me on clomid or something (have read it's effective in treating LPDs). How did you get on with your doc this morning?

MoreThanChocolate · 30/01/2009 08:50

Hi it's a BFN here pretty mch as expected though my LP is looking odd at 13 days now - most have ever seen is 11. Whole cycle on a go slow I think. Will test again Monday if no AF but I would put money on her being on her way!

littlepea72 · 30/01/2009 09:51

Forces this is our first time in Germany, its great, but money not as good with the eruo. Let me know where you get posted to, what Reg is your hubby with?

MoreThan...im keeping everything crossed for you!

ForcesSweetheart · 30/01/2009 10:16

littlepea he's ex-reme on a re-trading to sigs course, so this'll be our first sigs posting. How bout yours?

Sorry it's a bfn morethan, but if AFs still not here I wouldn't give up hope. In my first pregnancy back in 94 I didn't get a bfp til 10 weeks, even my GP got a bfn when he tested me at 7 weeks and told me I wasn't pregnant and to stop imagining things - I was!

Went to my GP this morning and was all set for an argument about LPDs. Turned out not only is she a "charter" but she has an LPD too (of only 6 days) and conceived while taking agnus castus for it. She wants to do the day 21 blood test to make sure I am actually ov'ing (but on day 26 as she's happy to accept from my temps that I'm probably ov'ing around day 19). She's advised me not to try agnus castus or progesterone cream because she doesn't know what effect they have on diabetes, so I'm gonna do some research on this myself. She said at 6 months I may be able to get reffered to the consultants, but she's not 100% sure as I already have a child. She won't be there by the time I've been trying 6 months as she's only got 6 weeks left at work before she goes on mat leave, but she said she's sure one of the other gps will refer me. She said not to get too hung up on the luteal phase, as I had a short (ish) one when I conceived DD.
How did you get on with yours missiemoosmummy?

MissieMoosMummy · 30/01/2009 11:45

at not getting a BFP till 10 weeks! That would have driven me completely round the bend! Still, as long as you haven't had AF morethan there is a chance that it will turn into a BFP.

FS
So glad you found your GP to be sympathetic. Mine said that lps are completely irrelvant to implantation, and as I already have a child I won't have a problem having another one (because, according to her, one's cycles don't change - patently wrong, since pre dd my cycles were 27 days (no idea about lp then) and now they are 32-33 days, with last ov at cd23 & lp started at 6 days when I first got my af back).

We continued to disagree about the existence of lpd for a while & I explained that although I was not at all certian that lpd was the reason for my mc, it could potentially be a problem, and I wanted to take action to elimiate the condition rather than risk suffering a series of mc to prove a point. I told her what I planned to do (give up bf, take b-complex & progesterone cream after ov) and if she had any advice/help to give. She didn't, and said she'd refer me to a specialist to talk things over, but she believed none of the things I suggested would make any difference as there was no problem .

I was thinking about agnus castus but haven't seen much info about it. I've cut right back on the bf - Missie is absolutely disgusted by this and life is quite hard atm; I've got a stinking cold, feel rougher than a badger merkin, and getting all kinds of grief from Missie as she goes through cold turkey.

MoreThanChocolate · 31/01/2009 12:37

AF got me this morning so I'm out for September and October too given the riduculously long cycle - 44 days in the end.
Thanks for all your support everyone. DH and I had a chat this morning and we are going to try another two cycles before resorting to the doctor.
Oh I so want to be relaxed about this but it's hard when it means soooo much

Issy42 · 31/01/2009 15:03

((Hug)) MTC .

MMM don't really know much about the definition of a cp - only heard the term here and I don't like it very much. To me it sounds too much like it's a term for your body thinking it is pg when it isn't, when really (AFAIK) it's a fertilised egg that began implanting but then didn't make it. As far as I'm concerned if you have a BFP and then a BFN you've had an mc even it was a very early one. ((Hugs)) to you too.

Hi littlepea.

Issy42 · 31/01/2009 15:06

Littlepea - just read back that post and realised it sounds like I left you out, so here's a ((hug)) for you too .

ForcesSweetheart · 02/02/2009 18:41

So sorry AF got you MTC. Good luck for next cycle.
MMM at your GPs complete denial. How frustrating. At least she's agreed to a referral though, hopefully a specialist will be more helpful.
From what I've read natural progesterone cream shouldn't be a problem with my diabetes, in fact some sites say it helps to regulate blood sugars - so I'm gonna give it a go, just not this cycle as I don't want mess up the results of the day 21 test.
