Hi All, have been on a couple of ttc hreads but due to sad arrival of af yesterday and x2 negative pg testa thought I'd start a September one.

We are ttc#2 we already have dd(2) and had a mc in September this will be cycle 3 since mc.

Mc hit me hard, more so than other adverse life events for some reason also head full of other stuff such as trying to complete a Post grad Diploma in Cognitive Therapy!!

Anyway want to try to be optimistic and hopeful and not (too!) obsessive this month!

Anyone else fancy joining?? xx

I hope you get an af shaped present bubble, then you can get the day 2 test done, I do think you have to have a period first as they're done on specific days of your cycle.

I'm still trying to decide whether to bd today or not. I've got a rotten cough, been taking Benylin, so perhaps I'll have a ton of ewcm () but I'm feeling pretty rough. Dh isn't on 100% form either, but I can't decide if I'm up for it tonight, it might be a good way of clearing out all the old swimmers hanging around or do I just go and get an early night tonight. I don't have much ewcm, but my cervix is higher than normal. I was going to try and bd for the next four nights. Perhaps a nice dinner will put me in the mood more.

I hope everyone else is well and not struggling wtih coughs and colds.

congrats little rascal - hav a great christmas!

af has arrived today for me (happy bloody christmas) so no sept little one for me.

i guess at least i can blitz the red wine and not feel guilty!! feel pretty rubbish though. never mind!

littlepea72 · 24/12/2008 10:28

Well done LittleRascal, take it easy over christmas, and put your feet up!

Sorry about your af twoturtle, let the red wine flow & good luck for next month

I am now on my 2ww and feel alot happier about it this time. Maybe somewhere in my mind i have given up hope, or maybe its because we are moving to Germany on the 5th Jan, so i dont have much time to think...just packing up the house. I will stay of the drink (kinda) over xmas, just in the off chance. But forced myself to remember not to look for anything!!

Happy Christmas to you all.....

pinkie08 · 24/12/2008 11:20

COngrats littlerascal

put your feet up and enjoy your BFP. I am not symptom spotting as another week to go but do keep waking with funny taste in mouth

littlepea, good luck with the move!

peacelily · 24/12/2008 13:59

Congrats littlerascal v pleased and excited for you!

If af doesn't arrive before I'm testing nye but I think she's on her way, have usual crampy full feeling and lack of any pg symptoms, oh well didn't try "properly" this month anyway.

new years resolution is to give up alcohol (pretty much, will still have a couple fri night but dh has posh new job that means getting up early so we're both going to be good in the week), do exercise and track cycle a little more expertly.

Might even try deanna plan, but am NOT NOT going to obsess about it!!! (yeah right!)

gettingstarted ttc#1 cycle 2 CD5

Congratulations littleRascal that is the best Xmas present ever! After AF came on Sunday I took all the meds I'd not taken whilst waiting, so no more thrush and the asthma is easing now I've finished 5 days steroids.... maybe I'll be fitter for the job this month!
Enjoy the rest of Xmas ...going to watch some trashy telly.

Sans04 · 27/12/2008 09:50

Hello
AF arrived for me on 24/12, I am totally out I gave up on TTC, it's almost 2 years really hard for me I had the worse xmas ever, so I will not try any more.
a very happy new year to all and all the best wishes to all of you. good luck to everyone

TrixieBelden · 27/12/2008 10:34

Oh, Sans04 - Christmastime does make all of this harder. Good luck, whether you decide to keep trying or not.

Fingers crossed for Forcessweetheart even though a BFP would mean no more thrilling stories of midnight raids on the camp.

CD24 here for me, AF due in 5 days, and like a moron I tested this morning using one of those tests that's meant to work 6 days before you miss a period. In 62% of women, anyway. Of course it was a BFN and I'm grumpy, and I have sore boobs and am falling asleep on my feet and am nauseated. Am aware this is all probably psychosomatic and am quite confident I could grow a psychosomatic bump if necessary. sigh.

Am going to visit dear friend in hospital today, she had a much-longed-for baby girl on Christmas Day and as thrilled as I am for her, I know it will make me mopey and yearny afterwards.

This time of year really does make it trickier. All this time to sit around and think about it. Hope you're all more able to get your mind off it than I am!

irishmumwannabe · 27/12/2008 13:46

Hi All - haven't been on for a few days but CONGRAULATIONS LittleRascal so glad you got a BFP for Christmas,

Sans04 hope you are getting throughChristmas and hope you are feeling better. Let us know if you are definitely out - hopefully taking a break could be what you need and you will get your bean!

LOL @ TrixieBelden - hope AF stays away and you're keeping the testng at bay! My friend as due Christmas day but haven't heard from her yet so hopefully things are ok with her.

Hope all the rest of you are well - I've been doing the BD thing now since Tuesday and so far so good. should ov on Sunday so fingers crossed!

HeadFairy · 27/12/2008 15:41

congratulations littlerascal, what great news.

So sorry sans you're so down about af, I hope you have a better 2009 and that you get your bfp very soon. It's always the way isn't it? People try for ages, then give up and get pg straight away. Please don't give up hope completely, sending you some ((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))) and hoping you have a good New Years!

I've had a rotten Christmas, been ill since Tuesday, had a temperature, a stinking cold and a cough like someone dying of TB! So awful, I didn't even have any Christmas lunch and my mum's turkey planning is so efficient there wasn't anything left over for me either boo hoo! I dosed myself up to the eyeballs with paracetamol on Christmas day just so I could face one bd as I ov'd that day. Completely bonkers eh? Anyway, I'm almost certainly out this month, there's no way that half hearted, fevered shag will result in a baby, not with my wizened old eggs! Still, I'm going to hang around here until I'm forcibly removed

I hope everyone else's Christmases were better and Father Christmas brought you everything you asked for I'll be back in a couple of days when I'm not so germ laden!

littlepea72 · 27/12/2008 16:12

Hi everyone

Well thats the bding over with this month (thank god!)...made an efford this month as we only ever have a try when the day i ov comes up. This time it was alot, now my tummy feels like i have been doing 1000 situps every night, and im walking like John Wayne!! So yesterday was the last, hubby happy its over too, he feels like he has been doing pushups with his...anyways....lol....I hope you all had a good xmas, sorry about your af Sans, what about just taking a break, they say thats when it happens?? I hope it works out for you.

Sunnydale · 27/12/2008 19:46

Hello to everyone on the September thread - can I join? Was on the August one and am skipping over - hope that's okay. Have added myself to the list. September babies, here we come!
Am on CD10 and off to the in-laws tomorrow - not looking forward to four days of silent BD-ing, I must admit. My fertile period always seems to coincide with the in-laws visiting - it was the same last month. Which might explain why there's gonna be no August baby . Anyone got any tips for TTC when your parents / in-laws are in the bedroom next door?! Lie back and think of England, I suppose...

Hello all! Welcome all the newcomers (sorry only popping on so not naming..)- hoping this is a lucky thread

Sans04- so so sorry AF appeared again. Really feel for you. Hoping the new year brings fresh perspective and maybe fresh hope too- but know how hard it can be. Good luck with whatever you decide xxx

Well DH is going away for 3 days bang over my possibly/most likely fertile period- CD12 - CD15. Not sure whether just to write this month off or carry some hope that by BDing tonight (CD11) and when he returns (CD15) we might still be in with a chance... Have managed some silent BDing at in-laws last night but it is very hard!! (made worse by the fact DD woke up during...luckily she settled herself back to sleep quickly enough! I swear young children really are the ultimate contraceptive).

Good luck all those nearing the end of the 2WW and also all of you in the BDing marathon and beyond!

TrixieBelden · 28/12/2008 14:37

Welcome, Sunnydale and hello everyone else. Am packing for a week's holiday in the country with a gang of friends and am grimly shoving the tampax in my bag -- am due AF on New Year's Day am feeling pessimistic about our chances this (first) month of TTC. No reason (other than testing early and getting a BFN), just preparing to be disappointed. At least being away will get my mind off it! Hope you all have a lovely, calm, non-obsessive New Year.

PS My boobs still hurt.

HeadFairy · 28/12/2008 19:31

Have a good one Trixie! I hope af stays away.

Sunnydale - I don't have any top tips for silent shagging, dh and I had to do it on Christmas night. I got such a fit of giggles as my dad was rummaging about in the airing cupboard which is right outside my bedroom while we were at it As we're ttc I was of course in a position to, ahem, bury my face in the pillow to stifle the laughs. DH is nothing if not grimly determined, he carried on regardless

JumpingJellyfish, I'd go for the cd11 and 15 bd's but then I usually ov on cd 15. At least you know you did your best. Good luck!
