Sorry not been on. This running lark is taking over my evening 3 mights a week and reducing my net time.

How are you now Nicci? I had spotting for about 8 days after my HyCosy and got weird spotting three weeks into my next cycle too with proper AF two weeks later.

Hayzee any news?

hayzee · 12/03/2009 11:25

Hi I hope you don't mind me joining your conversation?

I am currently on my first cycle of Clomide, FSH injections and have had my HCG injection. I managed to have one follice at 19mm, my nurse said to contact her two weeks after the hcg and i will either have my period or i won't. today is the last day of my two weeks and no sign yet of my period.

I tested three days ago and it was negative how long should i wait before i test again? Should i take the result from three days ago as a def no?

Hopefulnicci - hope your news is good news?

Issy42 · 16/03/2009 22:01

Nicci - you can't write a post like that! What's your news?

Welcome sgibbo - you should ov 36 hours after the injection and then would get AF around 14 days after ov but it can vary. Good luck.

hopefulnicci · 19/03/2009 16:55

Well, firstly welcome sgibbo!
My news is, that having completed a clomid/hcg free cycle, i got faint BFP! Got this on sunday last week? 12 dpo. Only thing is, it's not any darker yet (now ?16dpo) so slightly bummed, but faint line still there and no AF so not out just yet! please pray 4 me. xxx

Wow, that's exciting Nicci. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Can you get some bloods done to confirm?

I signed my consents and picked up the drugs today. So much information to take in - hope I remember everything. Start downregging on 2nd and have first scan on 16th, then all being well EC around 29th April.

Hope everyone is well. Take care.

ttcbby2 · 26/03/2009 01:03

Nicci this is GREAT news!!!!!! Keep us posted!

hayzee · 30/03/2009 09:01

nicci that is brilliant news im so excited and pleased for you please keep us updated.
issy how are you
sorry have not been on just waiting for my period to arrive after a clomid/hcg free cycle. My periods are usually without the clomid 35-42 days but as yet on day 46 and no sign of period or pregnancy. Im never late but think that maybe joining the gym even though i only do up to 3 hrs a week has delayed it or it could be that not having the meds has messed me up.
getting a bit fed up with it all.
xxx

hayzee · 03/04/2009 13:22

hayzee · 12/04/2009 21:35

where has everyone gone

ttcbby2 · 13/04/2009 01:23

Hi Hayzee! I am still here. I check back a few times a day waiting on you other ladies to join me in the 9 month wait. I was hoping Nicci would have said something by now. Perhaps its good that she hasn't said anything. Good luck on your scan and let us know. I have a really bad cold right now. Nothing is worse that being sick than being sick while pregnant! UGH. Its going on 7 days. Every night I say hopefully tomorrow is a better day but it hasn't happened yet.
On a good note the baby moves a lot now. Takes my mind off things!

Issy42 · 13/04/2009 15:25

Hi, I'm still here too. Was away for a week in the Lakes and have been struggling to keep up with posting since - and this thread's been so quiet I missed that there were new posts. Getting a little worried about Nicci now, where has she gone? Hope it's good news.

Good luck for tomorrow Hayzee.

Hope you feel better soon ttcbby2.

I have my downreg scan on Thursday. Just got AF today so breathing a sigh of relief otherwise would have had to cancel scan and egg collection would have moved back at least a week. Just hope Thursday confirms that I'm OK to start stims then. I have a friend coming up from Brighton to be with me and she's just given up her job (as a nurse) so is temporarily signing on. As it stands EC is due in the week she doesn't have to be in Brighton. Otherwise I have a friend from work who is going to nip out for an hour to pick me up and drive me home and my ex is going to stay overnight, but I wouldn't have the full 24-hrs covered. Clinic hasn't actually told me I need someone there for 24-hrs yet, but I've read it elsewhere. It's so difficult when you don't know the exact day. It's just not practical for any of my friends to take two days off at such short notice. Hopefully I will be a textbook case and EC will go ahead w/c 27th as planned. Getting quite nervous about everything that could go wrong now, but trying to see the positive side. If my eggs are no good or there are none in the follicles, I can get on egg donor waiting list and will have two years to find a man before I reach the top of the list . Can't see a positive side to having to abandon before EC though, so really praying that doesn't happen.

Please come back Nicci and let us know how are you are.

hayzee · 14/04/2009 13:27

good news had my scan today and had 2 eggs on my right ovary one was 16.8 and the other was 18.9 and my lining was 9.3 so she gave me the injection. I wont be on foe the next few days as going to visit husbands family till thursday.
wheres nicci i hope she is ok she hasnt been on for a few weeks hope everyone else is ok and keeping my fingers crossed for you all. xxx

Issy42 · 14/04/2009 23:29

Great news Hayzee. Fingers crossed for you.

ttcbby2 · 15/04/2009 02:25

Hayzee those are excellent follies!! Mine never got that large before!!! Good for you!
Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Issy, here is to hoping your eggs are good! I have a feeling they will be! How many times have you done this procedure now? Is it painful?

coco84 · 15/04/2009 16:00

Hello Ladies... I've just joined on here and this topic is what I need aid in.. please help.

I am a 24yo, with a 3 year on son. My husband and I have been TTC for 1 year now. 1.5 years ago I miscarried at 6 weeks. TTC for one year now. I get my period each month, everfy 31 days, one time, every time. Very healthy, so is hubby. I have been classified as "unexplained" - my son was born within 2 months of trying naturally.

My Doc has put me on CLOMID 25mg for 2 cycles. This 2nd cycle he has triggered me with a HCG shot after having seen 2 ripe and ready eggs at 21mm each. I was just wondering - when was the time frame to try (intercourse) after having the trigger shot? When would my fertile time have been? We tried on day of shot, day after, skipped third day, then again tried on 4th and 5th days after the HCG Trigger shot. Does the shot, with 2 eggs around, increase my chances this month? And did i try at my fertile peak? Unsure... please help with information.

Thank you,

CoCo.

Issy42 · 15/04/2009 18:12

Hi Coco - welcome to the thread. Sorry you had mc . Quick reply as working late - you should ovulate 36 hours after trigger. Egg hangs around for 6-12 hours or 12-24 hours, depending upon which source you read and according to great sperm race it takes 14 hours for sperm to reach egg, so I think you have it covered.

ttcbby2 - this is my first IVF - all new to me. Injections are a little uncomfortable (rather than painful) to administer and area goes a little red for about 30 mins. I think the next bit, which I'll hopefully start tomorrow is when ovaries swell up and get sore. Egg collection is done under sedation or GA but apparently you feel sore afterwards and embryo transfer is just like IUI so not too bad. It'll all be worth it if it works.

Hope you're all well.

ttcbby2 · 16/04/2009 02:36

Coco, welcome to the thread and good luck! I think Issy covered it. I had intercourse the night before my trigger shot, the night of and the night after. I also did several doses of Guaifenesin. I am not sure if you ladies are familiar with it. Its a cough syrup, pretty popular here in the US. It thins mucus. It supposedly helps woman conceive because there is mucus on the uterus and some woman have too much or its too thick. By thinning it out the implanted egg attaches to the wall more easily.
Not sure if it really helped me or not but I sure did try it and I am pregnant now so who knows. It could have been the Clomid, the trigger, the cough meds or just my time to get prego.

Issy, I am very happy I never had to do that. I am a chicken when it comes to pain.
I really hope this works for you. It sounds like a lot of work! But worth it!
I am feeling much better! Thanks for asking!!

coco84 · 17/04/2009 01:35

Hello Ladies and thank you so much for your reply's. I love this forum. So Helpful and Its a place where you can FINALLY talk to people with the same problem. God Bless You all. xox

Its now 10 days before my "expected" period. Usually 7-10 daysbefore I start feeling menstral symptoms, boobs crams eTC - BUT i'm not feeling anything now. Maybe the trigger shot changed things around this month..? I dont know I'll have to wait and see... but I'll keep you posted.

BTW, If the egg is released about 36hrs after trigger of HCG,(given on the 9th @ 11AM..) the day I skipped trying (the 11th), would mean the egg was probably released then..?. Im worred maybe I missed my day??

I did try though on 12th however, that would mean about 12-24 hrs after the release of the egg @ 36ish hours?? Im I on the right trck with my INFO??? Im trying to understand how the dates times and cycles work.. I hope I'm getting a better understanding of everything... so confusing

Also, ttcbby2, congratulations and I hope everything goes well for you throughout the pregnancy and after... do you mind me asking.. was this your 1st HCG shot this month? And how long have you been TTC for before it finally worked for you?

Thank you and Best wishes to you all!
xoxoxo
CoCo

coco84 · 17/04/2009 01:45

ohh I almost forgot... also, I still have CM hanging aroiund..? Doesn't the CM die down and go away after ovulation..? Especially just over a week before my expected period..? thanks ladies.....

hayzee · 17/04/2009 09:33

hi all
welcome coco to our thread seems like you covered the times to me the hospital always advise me to have intercourse on the day of the injection the next night and the night after and then go back to 2-3 times a week.
issy good luck with your treatment keeping my fingers crossed that it will work.
im getting a little worried about nicci she has not been on here for a while now lets hope no news is good news but it is so unlike her.

Issy42 · 18/04/2009 00:47

just wrote a post and it's disappeared.

Coco - you're fine, sperm survives for 2-5 days, so you've covered the bases. Best thing to do now is stop stressing and try to relax. hcg trigger will give you early pg symptoms (including cm) for until about 8 dpo, so ignore them all.

ttcbby2 - cough syrup mentioned on lots of threads.

hayzee - thanks for good wishes. Hope you have some energy left after your week of baby-making .

nicci - where are you?

My scan was OK so started stimming yesterday. Next scan and bloods Monday. Grow follies grow

ttcbby2 · 18/04/2009 01:37

Coco, this was my first trigger shot ever. TTC for a little over 6 months with this pregnancy. It was 2 years with my last pregnancy. Clomid alone just didn't work. I was never offered a trigger shot with my last pregnancy. And actually it was when I came off all meds and gave up that I gave pregnant with my DS. This time around I knew what to expect and we started early. I really think the trigger and cough syrup made a difference. But I will never know.
I also had CM up until about a week after i found out i was prego.
