OK well not sure my title is good enough really and feel honoured you let me start the thread. So heres to a new month and new start on my cycle! TTC is going to be a very nervous and aprehensive time for me but i know oyu are all in the same boat and with your support im sure i can do it. So im on day 1 of my cycle. Should ov on day 10 although am not certain if D&C has mucked up my ovulation but will guess that. Am almost thinking that im ttc just to lose another baby and i know thats wrong but cant help it. With 2 mc already its hard to believe it will ever happen for me and DH and im almost convinced i will never see a healthy happy 12 week bean. Ok enough doom and gloom.

HERES TO ALL OF US WHO ARE NERVOUSLY TTC AND MAY LUCK AND FAIRY DUST SHOWER OVER US IN THESE COMING MONTHS!

Bella23 · 30/03/2005 09:09

Morning all ladies,
CD 19 and time is sooooooo dragging !
Nemo - so relate to every twinge being down to something, I can almost visualise implantation in my head!
Well not a lot to report really, just on dreaded 2 week wait. Will test next Friday, mind you my AF always warns a few days before she actually arrives so will probably know by a week today if have been successful this month.
Right enough of driving myself nuts.....better do some work!

munz · 30/03/2005 09:16

thanks nemo - i think so as well, althou it will be just my bloody luck that i'll get a new wardrobe then find out i'm PG as DH is willing to spend lots of money on me for clothes as I had a real moan at him for buying what ever he wants and leaving me with nothing for myself. basically I just can't wait to have some sex! lol, forget the whole baby idea I just want the celabacy to end I tell u! for the love of god! lol.

Bella - hope the two weeks goes fast for you, hope all goes well.

Bella23 · 30/03/2005 09:23

Munz - looks like your DH won't know what has hit him when he returns - a woman posessed - YE HA

munz · 30/03/2005 09:26

lol, ah I know he'll be pinned down and attacked me thinks - only joking. I blame hormones myself! that's the problem! lol. that and the fact my parents are down so mr rabbit can't even pay me a visit!

Nemo1977 · 30/03/2005 09:28

pmsl munz bet ur dh cant wait to get home

Bella23 · 30/03/2005 09:40

Munz - fantastic !!

wendy11 · 30/03/2005 09:54

Morning Ladies,

Easter break over but have lots of cleaning and ironing to do........yuk! before my friend and her wee boy come to stay for a couple of days. Probably not a lot of point doing much cleaning as he is completley obsessed with the dogs - doesn't have any of his own and insists on them going everywhere in the house that he does. Needless to say they love all the attention.
I will catch up on the thread later on but probably won't be around much for a few days so make sure any good news is highlighted for me!
CD21 here and not a lot happening. Hoping for the best but fearing the worst. This is really our last attempt before IVF.
Hope you all have a lovely day and good luck to all in the 2ww and to all bding and all in anticipation of bding. There that should cover everyone.

munz · 30/03/2005 13:26

good luck wendy - hope all goes as planned for you.

I think DH is worried about coming home - althou i'm sure i'll put his mind at rest!

Cadmum · 30/03/2005 13:39

Still no af... Will post in a bit.

romilly · 30/03/2005 15:02

LOL, another one guilty of knowing my due date for december here . it may have to be an immaculate conception though because i seem to have inadvertently managed to annoy mr. rom (yet again...) this week . honestly dont know why - doubly

munz - hope all goes well with your d/h - sounds like he's going to have a warm welcome home

got results back from karyotype tests done from my erpc (3 months later) finally today. did anyone else ask for karyotype testing?

Bella23 · 30/03/2005 15:12

Rom - its weird isn't it how the arguements just seem to come from nowhere when it is ttc week.
When I had an O symbol finally on my persona me and DH went out for a meal that night where I made for a joke about his sexual prowess and well you can imagine the rest !!!!!!!!!! What exactly posessed me to make a joke about the one thing that we were meant to be doing is beyond me??!! I think its the pressure, makes us girls go a bit funny! I think the same can be said for the men who feel like they are being used for their swimmers so turn all "sensitive" on us!! Very frustrating though when the window of opportunity is so small each month!

george32 · 30/03/2005 15:27

Oh no Rom, not again, and you too last week Bella .
I'm in a similar state. I had a row with my DP last night and, as I'm expecting O any day now, it could have been better timing. He's narky because he thinks that I only want to BD to make a baby, not because I just want to. Did have to point out that I can specifically tell him which times are which by the magic of Persona, random O sticks, temps on FF but that tipped him over the edge so no way he's talking to me now!!!
WHY DON'T THEY GET IT????
Munz you have the perfect plan with not seeing your DH for ages. At least he doesn't stop to wonder why you want to BD!!

Rom, I'm curious, what is karyotype testing?

Bella23 · 30/03/2005 15:47

George - why men can't be like us and just realise that for a few days each month we just want to bd in order to make a baby is just soooooooo frustrating. It would be different if every day of the month is a possibility and therefore we never wanted them for anything else while ttc. You are right, they just don't get it......its back the age old "Lets just see what happens" LISTEN UP MEN - that won't work if we don't bd at the right bloody time !!!!!!!!

Nemo1977 · 30/03/2005 16:00

aww ladies bless u and ur non compliant hubbies....hope things work out and u get to do the deed. TBH I make a point of bding with dh at non fertile times and telling him so...sounds awful but it makes him feel loved. Although he knew i had my smiley on monday as since then have grabbed him at least 5/6 times and last night he told me to pack it in..oops...although will grab him when he returns from work tonight

romilly · 30/03/2005 16:24

thanks for making me feel like i am not alone in this rather vital area of conception george and bella! what they don't seem to appreciate is that it is bloody difficult for us too and i would absolutely love to just be totally spontaneous and carefree about it - but with the statistics of only 20-25% success rate each time for perfectly healthy fertile couples - not forgetting 75% of blastocysts created being able to implant and only 58% of those blastocysts that have implanted then surviving past the second week of gestation.... well, you get my gist of the miracle that is reproduction. a little help and understanding on their part would be not much to ask you'd have thought.

george - a karyotype is a the chromosomal constitution of a cell - so i asked for genetic testing for chromosomal abnormalities.

romilly · 30/03/2005 16:26

nemo that doesnt sound awful, it sounds very prudent

Bella23 · 30/03/2005 16:40

Rom - your knowledge of statistics is outstanding....I take my hat off to you!
Nemo - keep grabbing him! I am of the opinion that determination is the key to success

hereshoping · 30/03/2005 17:06

Hi Im an obsessive checker of EDDs when AF arrives and afraid Ive an even easier method for you
date of AF - count back 3 months and add 7 days
so my af 24 March, back 3 months 24 dec, add 7days EDD 1 Jan
steeling myself for frantic bding this month, cd 7 now - dh insisting on spontaneity and romance HUH! after 15 yrs 3 kids and 2 mcs hell be lucky!
health kick on day 3 - at least it gives me something else to think about - thou 2 pints of cider last night dont help Anyone strong enough to go teetotal - I need booze to cope with mcs and all that bding!

Cadmum · 30/03/2005 17:20

Bella: lol about just seeing what happens. You could always just bd every single day of ever cycle!
Rom: You don't mention the results...
hereshoping: Thanks for the tip. Sadly, I need it now. AF has arrived. Good for you on the health kick! I would much rather give up wine and cider (only alcohol I drink) than tea and biscuits!
So if today is the
30th of March-3months=December 30+7 days = January 6, 2006. OK! So that is the plan. Where can I place an order? Is there a web-page or something?!?!? This not falling pg is a very new thing for me. I am not enjoying it much.

Cadmum · 30/03/2005 17:20

should be everyY cycle!

Cadmum · 30/03/2005 17:22

hereshoping: just re-read your post...Am confused (big shock!)... What is romance?

dramaqueen72 · 30/03/2005 17:56

oooh ladies lots to read fabulous.. had fairly nice day out with entire herd and no major fights (so far..) today. pmsl at quarreling with dh around 'exact' time, I certainly do this.blame huge hormone shift myself.... got a non smiley face on my first smiley face opks today. they are abit copmlex to work at stupid oclock in the morning. give me dipstick testing and peering at lines anyday over 'afix apart a to part B, correctly alingin arrows before assembling.......' aaaaaaaaaaaggghhhhhhh!! so this will be my only month with the expensive ones. of course this will be my only month with them because it WILL WORK this month right?
of course i work out my due date......I usually correct my dr when she attempts to on a first pg visit! this cycle would be due dec 27th-ish, fabulous! would be great for me, and would promise to give christmas baby an honorary june bday if they hated being next to christmas when bigger. not that i've planned ahead or anything....so we all do it
found out yesterday a friend is 'unexpectedly pg' without trying. and it disheartened me somewhat. and she speaks very casually of when its due and what the children said about it (shes told them already...)..no thought of it not going to term or anything going wrong at all......I was thrown totally by the wonderful innocent of those who have never had m/c. I spend weeks not telling anyone i'm pg, then weeks worrying it wont be okay........well you guys know what i mean.
bella hope the 2ww doesnt drive you totally crackers. hang in there.
cadmum, sorry af showed up, but its a 'thing' this thread seems to be doing to all get pg in april...
you know my dh is counting the O days with me this month......I feel alittle miffed, i mean god forbid i should fancy sex just for sex sake... he told me today hes saving himself for just before and during O.....gee thanks....!!! think o shoould be between thurs and tues... but who knows...the more i second guess my body the more it throws me a loop.
hope alls well with everyone this evening

george32 · 30/03/2005 18:47

Shall we start a new thread on Friday to honour the wonderfully lucky month of April?
"TTC for the Cautious - who all think April is a lucky month"???

PMSL at Cadmum. I think you need www.orderyourchristmasbabyhere.com

DQ, how do you get your DH to take an interest in your O days? How did you make him understand the importance of the mysterious smiley faces??? Please can he teach this to other men, especially my DP?

Well done on the health kick Hereshoping. I've been going to the gym but still can't stop eating (although no chocolate today!!).
Can I tell you a secret....?
I actually did a p/g test today because I couldn't believe I was so fat just from eating.
The bad news is not that I got a BFN but that it really is just food thats done it!!!!!!!!
