OK well not sure my title is good enough really and feel honoured you let me start the thread. So heres to a new month and new start on my cycle! TTC is going to be a very nervous and aprehensive time for me but i know oyu are all in the same boat and with your support im sure i can do it. So im on day 1 of my cycle. Should ov on day 10 although am not certain if D&C has mucked up my ovulation but will guess that. Am almost thinking that im ttc just to lose another baby and i know thats wrong but cant help it. With 2 mc already its hard to believe it will ever happen for me and DH and im almost convinced i will never see a healthy happy 12 week bean. Ok enough doom and gloom.

HERES TO ALL OF US WHO ARE NERVOUSLY TTC AND MAY LUCK AND FAIRY DUST SHOWER OVER US IN THESE COMING MONTHS!

hereshoping Just read your post about the bding! The odds are certainly stacked against you if you don't bd! All the hope in the world is not going to sort that. I do recall a doctor telling a friend of mine that the best way to conceive is to bd when you are in the mood so perhaps when you are ov the mood will set in?

yingers74 · 18/03/2005 13:37

Mizz, congrats, am so happy for you! Good luck to all others testing, I just know there will be more graduates soon. Baby dust all round xxx

I went to see my gp today to let her know that I am pregnant and was surprised how positive she was and that i was not going to get told off for getting pregnant straight after a miscarriage. She understood my cautiousness and told me I had a good chance that things would turn out fine this time, fingers crossed. Have been referred to queen charlottes. i think it is time for me to go over to the antenatal thread now although will always have a lurk here! Thanks to all the support and I will keep sending baby dust.

romilly · 18/03/2005 13:41

yingers wishing you a very happy healthy pregnancy and good luck with everything. come back and let us know how you are doing now and then

Bella23 · 18/03/2005 14:06

Yingers, glad all ok at the Doctors. I hope we will all be joining you very soon
Romilly - what do you mean no more jokes?? So you just need to past this weekend before you can test next week.
Come on ladies, hopefully we are on a roll now for BFPs.

dramaqueen72 · 18/03/2005 14:10

good luck yingers, may it all go v smoothly for you this time.

romilly · 18/03/2005 14:22

yes bella, next week for me and yellowbear.

george - have a drink for me! i'm having to behave myself as cd22, 9dpo...- does everyone manage to go teetotal second half of cycle? its soooooo boring

yellowbear · 18/03/2005 15:04

Great news MizZan!
Sorry to hear about the setback with your mom Cadmum but she's in the best place - sorry I am no good with gifts I ways have to ask for ideas myself!

Dq - i know how you feel, I'm feeling quite teary myself today & imaging alsorts of symtoms -probably just pre AF ones though. Hate Knowing I can't test until late next week!

Bella23 · 18/03/2005 15:20

Well ladies, am off now for the weekend. My parents don't a computer so won't be able to check in. Make sure you all enjoy the sunshine and those that are feeling a little I hope you get lots of hugs.
Byeeeee

dramaqueen72 · 18/03/2005 15:47

have a good weekend bella missing you already!

romilly · 18/03/2005 16:46

dqueen - hope things are better for you and you are not having a hard time still.

dramaqueen72 · 18/03/2005 19:46

hey thanks for thinking of me rom
I think i'm 12 dpo right now.
dh is 'behaving' kind of..he has suffered from depression/anxiety attacks in the past and worryingly seems to be bordering on spiralling down again. so hes cranky/mean/miserable and blunt as you get most of the time. he keeps saying how much he loves me and how i'm not the 'problem' (its very work related) but of course guess whos in the firing line mostly? i know of course he cant 'help' it, but its NOT a good week to be me right now.
er..sorry....didnt mean to crash the mood of whole thread.

dramaqueen72 · 18/03/2005 19:47

nope, crap at maths, i'm 11 dpo. duh!

romilly · 18/03/2005 20:57

so we are not as far apart in terms of testing as i thought dramaqueen. it is interesting that mizz didnt get a convincing BFP until 13dpo. i really hope both of us get the biggest fattest positives possible next week! so sorry to hear you've got the added strain of taking the brunt of d/h's troubles on top of all this. not surprised you've had a tough week you poor thing. got to admit i can relate, my d/h has a bit of a tendency to go into a "black dog" for no apparent reason. usually when i least expect it and it is a very hard thing to cope with. it takes a lot of strength to not go into a huge slump yourself - a strength which i dont always manage to muster! anyway, i hope the fog clears soon and you deserve a better week next week.

Rest assured i will be generously dishing out the dust for you when you next test

MizZan · 18/03/2005 21:15

thank you rom, dq, cadmum, yingers, yellowbear et al. all your good wishes are much appreciated. I will stay on here for a while if it's ok. really feeling like I don't want to believe in this till things get farther along than last time. I am trying to be cautiously optimistic in keeping with the spirit of this thread but all too aware how fragile this opportunity may be.

yes rom, there is still plenty of hope at 38, and beyond!

can't really take it easy as I'm going through a seriously stressful period at work and home, for various reasons, and it's likely to continue for some time. doesn't it just figure. But I can only be massively grateful this has happened as soon as it has, or at all for that matter. just hoping stress will not affect things too much.

keep thinking positive, everyone. I'm really looking forward to hearing happy news from all of you.

Nemo1977 · 18/03/2005 21:17

Hi, Congratulations MizZan. Hope everyone has had lovely sunshine and warm days today.

Cadmum, suggestion - maybe a portable CD player so that your mom can listen to her fav music and distract herself?

take care, and lots of love x

george32 · 20/03/2005 10:44

afternoon ladies.
well, cycle day one all over again. i was gutted this morning but i'm doing okay now. abit sad.
its hds fault he said he wanted a christmas baby, and if we catch this new cycle it would be due dec27th!!!!
my ds has just gone off to usa with his school, and i miss him already, despite being highly arguementative when hes home, hes my boy. so abit of a sad day all round really. trying my hardest to buck up, fingers crossed for all you weekday testers.

romilly · 20/03/2005 16:15

hi mizz and george and nice to hear from girlfromip. mizz hope you're having a relaxing w/end. glad to hear you are going to stick around on this thread for a while.

welcome harrizeb. are you a new ttc'er or is it just a changed name?

does anyone on this thread go to the gym regularly? i know we have a few who do yoga dvd's - but i want to know if more rigorous exercise is a bad idea in the 2ww - ie. high impact aerobics/weights and crunches?? for the most part, i've really laid off serious exercise since my m/c but feel like i should get fit again

romilly · 20/03/2005 16:18

oh dramaqueen im so sorry, crossed your post. if its any consolation i am starting to feel this wasnt the cycle for me either. feel like dreaded AF is just around the corner. we'll just have to go for those December babies. chin up dqueen.

Treated myself to some of the face ones this month as nearly drove myself mad last month trying to match up colours of lines. Maybe I will see a tomorrow morning.

yellowbear · 20/03/2005 21:02

Sorry about the af DQ, hopefully it will be a Xmas baby for you.

Well i fell into the trap of doing a test on sat when I recieved my 20 tests from medisave, obviously it was a bfn, i was only 7 dpo. Think that it will be a bfn anyway though as not got any symptoms. Oh well will have to wait & see.

Are you due to test Romilly.

By the way what does OPK stand for - is it Ovulation predictor kit?
