OK well not sure my title is good enough really and feel honoured you let me start the thread. So heres to a new month and new start on my cycle! TTC is going to be a very nervous and aprehensive time for me but i know oyu are all in the same boat and with your support im sure i can do it. So im on day 1 of my cycle. Should ov on day 10 although am not certain if D&C has mucked up my ovulation but will guess that. Am almost thinking that im ttc just to lose another baby and i know thats wrong but cant help it. With 2 mc already its hard to believe it will ever happen for me and DH and im almost convinced i will never see a healthy happy 12 week bean. Ok enough doom and gloom.

HERES TO ALL OF US WHO ARE NERVOUSLY TTC AND MAY LUCK AND FAIRY DUST SHOWER OVER US IN THESE COMING MONTHS!

ARH DQ, sorry you are feeling down in the dumps. Listen when a girls gotta test, then a girl's gotta test, there ain't nothing that can be done about it! Hang in there, the fat lady hasn't sung yet as its still very early days. If possible try and view Saturday as next testing day.
If your not careful I shall be tempted to try and cheer you up by finding a crap joke

dramaqueen72 · 17/03/2005 14:08

come on then Bella, give it your best shot...
i'm still

Bella23 · 17/03/2005 14:27

Ok....before I start, be warned, I did say crap joke!!!!!!!! Desperate times call for desperate measures!

One day The Lord came to Adam to pass on some news.

'I've got some good news and some bad news', The Lord said.

Adam looked at The Lord and said, 'Well, give me the good news first.'

Smiling, The Lord explained, 'I've got two new organs for you, one is called a brain. It will allow you to be very intelligent, create new things, and have intelligent conversations with Eve.

The other organ I have for you is called a penis. It will allow you to reproduce your now intelligent life form and populate this planet. Eve will be very happy that you now have this organ to give her children.'

Adam, very excited, exclaimed, 'These are great gifts you have given to me. What could possibly be bad news after such great tidings?'

The Lord looked upon Adam and said with great sorrow, 'The bad news is that when I created you, I only gave you enough blood to operate one of these organs at a time.

dqueen - sorry about bfn hun - its bloody depressing isnt it. do you know your average luteal phase length? because the best time to test is one to two days after your average luteal phase length. that is statistically when you are most likely to get an accurate reading.

cadmum - so glad to hear you are seeing your mum tomorrow - the kids will be fine, it will be great for you to have some time with your mother.

yellowbear - maybe i can hold out on the testing and do it with you, don't know tho! we'll see.

Bella23 · 17/03/2005 20:50

Evening all ladies!
DQ - hope you are feeling a little better,

You even made me embarrass myself with my crap joke in order to cheer you up! Big Hugs to you, come on keep going, I promise tomorrow will be better xxx
Just had nice meal with DH, a bit giddy after drinking poor person's bellini (cava and peach shnapps)

yellowbear · 17/03/2005 21:03

Evening Bella23, all seems quite on here tonight!

george32 · 17/03/2005 21:54

Ohhhh, it is quiet YB, is everyone off BDing?
DP is away tonight so been happily preparing marinade for chicken for a chicken tikka masala tomorrow night whilst downing lovely wine (Rom, you would be proud!!).

Love your joke Bella.
DQ, have you run for the hills with Bella's joke? Still keeping my fingers crossed for the wkend for you. xx

hereshoping · 17/03/2005 23:45

just dawned on me that to get pg need to bd!
not been in mood recently
lol to all

Cadmum · 18/03/2005 08:43

DQ Sorry to hear that you are . I hope taht you are just weeing on the stick too early and that the next stick shows a bfp.

My mum has had a set back. She now requires a pace-maker as her heart beat was in the 30s. My flight to Victoria was a long and lonely one as it is the first time I have ever had 41/2 hours to myself in 8 years. How pathetic am I?!?! My little people are (nearly) 8, 6 and 3. I miss them already but I am glad to be here to try and lift my mum's spirits. Dad said she was weepy all day today. I am pretty sure that this must be normal for this stage following a major op and a minor setback... I am looking forward to seeing her tomorrow. Any suggestions for a brilliant gift? She will be in hospital until at least Sunday now...
I must be off to bed as it is 3:45 am for me...
Will catch up tomorrow.

Bella23 · 18/03/2005 09:47

Morning all ladies, what a beautiful day!
Cadmum - hang in there, my Nan had triple heart bypass done twice and had a pacemaker fitted which lasted her for over 30 years so I would think positively about this. Ideas for gifts, erm lots of magazines I think as hospital can get very dull.
I am off this weekend up North to visit my parents as it is my Mum's birthday which should be nice, will be nice to get away.

Right DQ - I am going to keep with the crap jokes until you come back.

Here goes..

A couple decide to go for a meal on their anniversary and after some deliberation decide on their local Chinese restaurant. They peruse the menu and finally agree to share the chef's special chicken surprise. The waiter brings over the meal, served in a lidded cast iron pot. Just as the wife is about to start in on the meal, the lid of the pot rises a tiny amount and she briefly sees two beady little eyes looking around before the lid slams back down.

'Jesus, did you see that?' she asks her husband. He hasn't so she asks him to look in the pot.

He reaches for it and again the lid rises, and again he sees two beady little eyes looking around before it firmly slams back down. Rather perturbed he calls the waiter over, explains what is happening and demands an explanation.

'Well sir', says the waiter, 'What did you order?'

'We both chose the same', he replies, 'the chicken surprise'

'Oh I do apologise, this is my fault' says the waiter.....

'I've brought you the Peking duck'

MizZan · 18/03/2005 11:07

good morning to team cautious! hope all is well with you all.

not much time now but have some BIG news - BFP this morning! tested wed. AM and got weird result so wasn't sure what was going on, thought it looked like tests had gone bad as all lines extremely faint. tested again yesterday and line was so faint that I pretty much thought it was a trick of the light...but this AM, got a definite BFP. can't believe it, and feeling extremely cautious still, as I will be for the next few weeks and beyond.

DQ, very sorry you are feeling blue. maybe do another test in a day or two? isn't it quite early for you yet? I am 13 DPO today and didn't really get anything I'd consider a + before today.

babydust to everyone!

george32 · 18/03/2005 11:10

Oh my god, Miz.............
Congratulations
How exciting, our second graduate, just knew March was going to be lucky.

MizZan · 18/03/2005 11:11

Bella23 · 18/03/2005 11:13

dyzzi, george, bella - thanks for the kind wishes! lucky month for more than just me I am sure - looking forward to hearing more good news from others. keep everything crossed for me!

Cadmum · 18/03/2005 12:50

Congratulations MizZan! That is such great news! I am sure that you must feel nervous just make sure you share every little twinge with us as it will help to keep you sane. Also try to take it one day at a time and stay positive and as relaxed as possible. (yeah right! Who am I kidding?) Have you told anyone in RL? Can you believe it yet yourself?

dyzzidi · 18/03/2005 12:52

cadmum. how are things with you today?

dramaqueen72 · 18/03/2005 12:55

many many congrats Mizzan! how lovely. do take it easy now (((HUGS))))
Bella, your jokes are awful! but they made me smile, so thankyou hun.
cadmum, sorry about the set back, i hope it all works out. bet your children are running rings around dh, and trashing the house with every toy out at once!! there! didnt that make you feel better about being away just for alittle 'time off'!!?? dont know about gifts for your Mum, a spoken word book maybe? its soooo boring in hospital isnt it. we have a friend who unexpectedly had to be in hospital long term and he loves
lottery tickets (!) you know the scratch off ones?
really hard to get 'specialist' magazines (hes a music freak)
and spoken word tapes as then he doesnt have to hold the book/strain his eyes
othet than that I'm no help, sorry.
still feeling blue and disappointed here, sorry guys, i will pull myself together asap, i'm trying.
Rom -my luteal phase is NOT something i know exactly. i guess i could base it on pre m/c? i'll try and figure it out.
just think with back ache and low blue feelings and lots of tears it sounds very like AF.

Cadmum · 18/03/2005 12:57

I must be crazy! It is only 4:54 in BC (7:54 where my little people are) and I CANNOT sleep. I just had a lovely on-line chat with my children and that made me feel somewhat more relaxed. I am about to ring the hospital to find out how my mum's night is going and to ask if I really need to wait until visiting hours (3pm) to see her. She is in a private room and feeling rather lonely and blue after spending yesterday on a pace-maker. How are you?

Cadmum · 18/03/2005 13:01

dq Try not to despair just yet. Am well aware how discouraging this cautious ttc game is. Really hoping that you join MizZan on the bfp team soon. Keep posting and reading our posts. We are all here for you.

Bella23 · 18/03/2005 13:16

DQ - yes I did say my jokes were terrible !!
This ttc wheel is very up and down, just keep focusing on the long term. When I was down you told me that it would happen so to just keep going. That really helped me, just remember that you WILL GET A BFP, the frustrating part is that you don't know when it will be. You haven't actually got AF yet so I've still got everything crossed for you.
Cadmum, glad you are feeling a little more relaxed about your kiddies.

romilly · 18/03/2005 13:25

well firstly CONGRATS to mizz - seriously i had a feeling you might be pg. when you kept saying this was a long cycle and were you pre-menopausal, i thought hmmmm, sounds more like pregnant to me! everything crossed for you and lots of sticky babydust to you. of course it gives me hope too, as we are the same age mizz.

hereshoping - lol, yeah it might help to get the bding bit done!

bella - dramaqueen has come back now, so no more jokes!

dqueen - which dpo are you on now? is d/h behaving now?

romilly · 18/03/2005 13:28

today i forgot cadmum so sorry cadmum - hope you get to visit your mum when you want to, and pressie-wise, i should think just you being there for her will be enough for her.
