OK well not sure my title is good enough really and feel honoured you let me start the thread. So heres to a new month and new start on my cycle! TTC is going to be a very nervous and aprehensive time for me but i know oyu are all in the same boat and with your support im sure i can do it. So im on day 1 of my cycle. Should ov on day 10 although am not certain if D&C has mucked up my ovulation but will guess that. Am almost thinking that im ttc just to lose another baby and i know thats wrong but cant help it. With 2 mc already its hard to believe it will ever happen for me and DH and im almost convinced i will never see a healthy happy 12 week bean. Ok enough doom and gloom.

HERES TO ALL OF US WHO ARE NERVOUSLY TTC AND MAY LUCK AND FAIRY DUST SHOWER OVER US IN THESE COMING MONTHS!

Romily - it looks like it! I think it's quite good having a testing buddy! I've also just ordered my tests from medisave - i knew i wouldn't be able to resist. If I get a bfn i'll need them anyway & if I get a BFP i can always pass them on. Not getting my hopes up yet though as no symptoms, how about you?

Hospital appt next thurs so maybe they will be able to give me some advice

yellowbear · 16/03/2005 21:21

Oops sorry spely it wrong - Romilly!

Fingers crossed for all those testing over the next week.

DQ - not sure about due date although pretty sure around 7/8 November as most b-ding took place during half term week!!!!!! Will see what the GP says.

Morning all!
Well first testing on persona this morning and already a question........Rom, can you help me out? The actual test stick, what should the little window show? I thought I read somewhere that it would have 2 lines or something? Mine had just a little bit of blue showing but definately no lines. I also got a red light and am only on day 6, does this mean the test thingy didn't red properly and therefore to be safe it is telling me its a red day? Can you shed any light?
Yingers - great to hear from you

george32 · 17/03/2005 10:55

Morning everyone.

Bella, aren't these Personas supposed to be easier??? Had a check in the instructions and in the pictures they show a red light from day 6 right through to about day 23 for the first month so guess yours must be OK.

Cadmum, I hope everything is OK for you.

romilly · 17/03/2005 11:28

bella - george is right - on your first month with persona you will get more red lights than usual as it is learning about your cycle. i got red lights from day 6 onwards for a total of 13 reds for the first cycle. 2nd cycle i only got red lights for 10 days - so it gradually susses you out. hopefully down to only about 6 red lights by cycle 4. dont forget it plays it safe as it is primarily a contraceptive device! as for the blue lines - i only get those on the stick when i'm ovulating so that is normal too. (to be honest i dont pay much attention to the lines as my persona gives me the 0 already).

gotta go now, back in a min to talk to yellowbear!

Bella23 · 17/03/2005 11:35

Thanks ladies. I have read instructions from cover to cover but then saw on a thread someone mention about the 2 lines on the testing stick so then had me thinking that I should be seeing that! Lord give a girl like me too much knowledge and I go into nightmare land of a million questions!!!
Right no more questioning am going to hand over my ttc to the persona gods.
Where's DQ hiding?
George - have you started your perona yet?
Cadmum - any update news?

romilly · 17/03/2005 12:26

back again, bella feel free to ask as many persona questions as you like, i love persona-talk - you'll soon get the hang of it

pinkdiamond - nice to see you back, i'm on CD21 if that helps at all. i think we were around the same day.

yellowbear, so you'll be on 10dpo on tues then? i will be on 13dpo - fertility friend experts say dont test 'til at least 14dpo - preferably even later than that for an accurate result and minimum disappointment!

romilly · 17/03/2005 12:33

ybear - forgot (again!) to say no symptoms either ... yet!

george32 · 17/03/2005 12:43

Yes, my Persona TTC has started .
I'm on CD4 so not too far behind you Bella (just praying my cycle stays shorter again!).
I'm going to be so excited if it tells me I ov at any point as it somehow seems more scientific than me checking sticks myself or trying to judge my temps.

Rom / Y-Bear, are you both testing next Tues then? Early testing sticks at the ready.....
Heres some babydust for you both.

george32 · 17/03/2005 13:06

Testing sticks are great aren't they!!
Are you on CD 8 today Mishi? You are only a couple of days ahead of bella & 4 ahead of me so think we will all be testing about the same time. I'm going to hang on til 13th April - that date any good for you???

Cadmum · 17/03/2005 13:09

Hello! Thanks for all of the questions about my mum. All continues to go well for her and I shall be seing for myself first thing tomorrow morning as I fly out there tonight. Am feeling rather ill at the thought of being away from my children (first time in nearly 8 years). DH is amazing with them so I only worry because we don't really know anyone here yet and it has been challenging for me without any adult interaction and I suspect that he will not enjoy that much.
DS2 is teary here so I shall run.
No exciting news on my ttc front. Still not convinced that I ov this month either. Very strange as I thought that I had it all under wraps!

Nemo1977 · 17/03/2005 13:16

yep cd 8 so will be testing around 13th too..lol

Bella23 · 17/03/2005 13:18

April 13th is the date for me too, great we can all enter the 2 week wait together. MMM...actually I should start focusing on the bding part otherwise there will be no point doing the 2ww!!
Cadmum - glad you are getting to see your Mum tomorrow. The kids will be fine so try not to worry (yeah right I know easier said than done)

george32 · 17/03/2005 13:27

So pleased that all still going OK with your Mum Cadmum. Glad you are going to get to see her tomorrow as I'm sure it will re-assure you loads.

Bella / Nemo - 13th it is then....... You do realise if any of us get a BFP then we all have Christmas babies? Great way of getting out of organising Christmas this year!!

DQ - how are you doing in your battle against the p/g test sticks? Still winning?

Nemo1977 · 17/03/2005 13:30

lol mass testing on 13th then..i will be due on 14th so day before is ok.lol
I do really want a xmas baby to make up for last yr...sigh

dramaqueen72 · 17/03/2005 13:37

cadmum, good luck with your trip, hope you find your Mum well, i'm sure the kids will be fine, and run rings around dh!!!
hope your persona figures your cycle out okay bella, it sounds complicated! maybe its abfp for you on 13th then, so no need for it anyhow ...(until next time!!)
rom, wish i'd read fertillity friends advice on waiting, and listened you to you guys. how many of you exactly are now saying 'i told you so'?!
S I G H ....
Yingers due date sounds good, nice early christmas present for you. how lovely
speak with everyone later.

yellowbear · 17/03/2005 13:50

I will only be 10 days post ov romilly so maybe I shouldn't test till Fri or sat. The waiting is horrendous!

Cadmum bet you can't wait to see your mom, know what you mean though about leaving your kids, how old are they?

DQ sorry your so miserable, still got my fingers crossed that you will get a BFP this weekend.
