OK well not sure my title is good enough really and feel honoured you let me start the thread. So heres to a new month and new start on my cycle! TTC is going to be a very nervous and aprehensive time for me but i know oyu are all in the same boat and with your support im sure i can do it. So im on day 1 of my cycle. Should ov on day 10 although am not certain if D&C has mucked up my ovulation but will guess that. Am almost thinking that im ttc just to lose another baby and i know thats wrong but cant help it. With 2 mc already its hard to believe it will ever happen for me and DH and im almost convinced i will never see a healthy happy 12 week bean. Ok enough doom and gloom.

HERES TO ALL OF US WHO ARE NERVOUSLY TTC AND MAY LUCK AND FAIRY DUST SHOWER OVER US IN THESE COMING MONTHS!

Bella23 · 15/03/2005 18:13

Evening all ladies. Apart from hanging my head in shame re the Mishi mistake I am in good spitits.
Cadmum, sorry the news isn't the best for your Mum, hopefully she can work round it with the blood thinning meds. Hope you are bearing up with all the waiting etc.
Yingers, good to hear from you, glad everything is going swimmingly, hopefully there will be some more to join you soon from here. We have quite a few testers coming up in the next couple of weeks and I have a good feeling...keeping everything crossed

sistermoon · 15/03/2005 19:08

Hi ladies-
Not sure if I should test Sunday or not oh well time to decide later - will have to get test s anyway. Yoga at home is afab solution and some like the breathing exercises can be done whilst cooking teh others I do with dd helping or copying not to bad a compromise. I have started baking aagin as well inspired by this thread- Cadmum hope things are ok with your mum
Babydust and positive thoughts to you all

yellowbear · 15/03/2005 20:18

DQ it is my 2nd cycle after m/c, but still a bit all over the place! Where are your testers from? I have two left but if bfn this month will need to stock up again.

Can't post at work so have to try & keep up with the thread each night, DP thinks I am MAD!

MizZan · 15/03/2005 22:07

like the idea of yoga-at-home, sistermoon, though unsure I possess the coordination or culinary skills to do breathing exercises while cooking ! any suggestions on good yoga tapes/dvds?

wishing everyone much babydust, and a lovely evening .

george32 · 16/03/2005 10:08

Morning everyone.
DQ, those tests are like magnets for fingers, they just draw you over to them so you must have a will of iron today. It's harder than stopping smoking, not weeing on the sticks!!

If my cycle stays the same, my next AF is due on 13th April so I think that means I can join you Bella & Hereshoping (providing AF doesn't show up!). Gives me a date to aim for and will keep me away from the terrible sticks.

Went out for dinner with DP last night and came up with a brilliant plan (and no alcohol involved at all! ). The idea is to run a half marathon in July to raise some money for Tommy's. Now we are both non-runners (couch potato city in our house at the moment!) so it's going to take a lot of will power & training but though it would do us both some good as well as raising money. It kind of gives us something positive to aim at following the m/c. Not sure what happens if I get p/g in the meantime but we will face that one if it happens.

It's a long way off yet, but apparently we need to start training soon in order to do it. I'll let you know how I'm getting on anyway.

Bella23 · 16/03/2005 10:23

George - that's a fantastic idea. It will mean that you have a great aim to train towards and also will mean that your body will be in tip top condition for ttc! Well done the pair of you! Make sure you invest in a good pair of trainers.
Nemo - glad you can feel that lucky feeling too this month, I definately think we will have a graduate this month

dyzzidi · 16/03/2005 12:28

George thats a great idea We have found that setting goals to concentrate on has helped us these past few months. Garden in June Wedding in September Christmas and finally decorating our new house when the builders allow us to! .

Its seems strange to some people but as my partner works away and i spend a lot of time alone if I didn't occupy my mind I really think i would have depression, which is always best avoided.

A run sounds great and hopefully it is something you will enjoy together let me know how to sponsor you!!!!!

dyzzidi · 16/03/2005 12:28

Sorry almost forgot Cadmum how are things with your mum?

romilly · 16/03/2005 14:33

i hope no news is good news cadmum. let us know when you get a minute.

how is everyone today? dyzz and wendy - did you watch the IVF prog. last night?

george - v. impressed with your plans. there was another prog. last night about the lady who completed an ironman triathlon even though she was terminally ill with bone cancer. amazing woman.

dqueen - WELL DONE not testing! apparently my medisave package has just been delivered at home - rang d/h who is there and asked if he would sign for it. how come i got charged £16.50 for 20 tests then, hmmmmm - mind you still a bargain.

7 dpo for me - anyone else be testing end of next week?

agree with bella, got a feeling someone's gonna be lucky soon... babydust to us all

romilly · 16/03/2005 14:36

who am i kidding - anyone else testing from tuesday next week??!

Bella23 · 16/03/2005 15:26

Thanks for the dust
Wine has gone up 4p ......strangely sparkling wine hasn't so will have to stay on the cava....ye ha !!

dyzzidi · 16/03/2005 15:36

OK so I know this isn't maybe the correct place for this but I have just rang the hospital to find out when my surgery is going to be talked to the very informative secretary and explained as I am getting married in September did she have any idea of when the op would be. she got all concerned and said would i want it after my wedding as was I aware I would be off work for 3 to 4 months afterward!!!!! What are they goint to do to me that requires 3/4 month rest!

I know it's major surgery but I have had three major ops before and only had 6 weeks off afterwards. and apparently lots of women have to have blood transfusions with the surgery. Oh my god have I not been through enough. There had better be a baby at the end of this for me or there will be big trouble.

Yeah I know there are no guarantees but After all this i feel i can be selfish so There

wendy11 · 16/03/2005 16:54

Dyzzidi - (((((Hugs))))). Not the news you wanted to hear. Really hope everything turns out ok for you.

Romilly - yes, DH and I watched the programme. Have to say I watched some of it through a haze of tears. It really brought it home to DH what we are embarking on - don't think he really understood before that there are so many pitfalls along the way and so many times things can go wrong. I really want it to work for us so that we can have the baby we long for. Maybe that is selfish of me, because we all long for a baby on here, but hopefully all our dreams will come true soon.

Going to go and do some gardening. Really need to so something about the weight I have put on since we lost ds. Comfort eating is not good when summer is around the corner and summer clothes are tight . Keep thinking no point in starting a diet when hopefully will get pg again very soon plus DH tells me not to be starving myself when ttc/IVF. Its all right for him he never seems to put on weight no matter how much he eats - its just not fair. Sorry for rambling.

Hope everyone is having a good day. Bye for now

Bella23 · 16/03/2005 17:15

Dyzz - 3/4 months seems a little extreme!

Wendy - totally know the comfort eating zone feeling. I was very upset last weekend regarding weight gain and so have now gone on a diet. I'm making sure I am eating regularly just cutting out all the comforting junk. I think as long as you eat healthily and avoid the bad stuff the weight will come off safely and won't adversly affect ttc. I just decided that it was making me miserable and needed to focus on doing something about it - join me if it helps So DQ no talk of flapjack or you'll have me salavating

wendy11 · 16/03/2005 17:39

Bella - another comfort eater! I am normally quite an active person but in the grieving process I haven't really exercised very much over the last 5/6 months, so back to 30 min walks every day since Monday and actually feeling better in myself. Used to walk 1 - 1 1/2 hours a day before I was pg so guess it not surprising that I have put on weight. Lots of fruit and veg from now on and NO sweets, crisps, chocolate etc This is now one determined lady

sistermoon · 16/03/2005 17:58

I kinda know af would turn up but it still hits hard - good luck to everyone off to comfort eat and have hugs

yellowbear · 16/03/2005 20:13

Think I will be testing from about tues as that is 10 dpo. Is that right?

I've put on loads of weight since m/c too so really trying to eat healthily - likley to be hard though around easter!

Cadmum hope all is okay with your mom.

Dq can't decide wether to order the tests from Medisave as hoping the last one i have will show a bfp but if not I'll wish I'd ordered some!

romilly · 16/03/2005 21:11

sistermoon - sorry to hear that - i didnt know you were coming up to AF (hard to keep track of everyone) - better luck this month.

dyzz - is that a fibroid op.? does sound like a long recovery period.

wendy and bella - dont thing you should be worrying about dieting as well as ttc'ing right now. give yourselves a break. hopefully we'll all be spilling out of our jeans in a few months anyway!

dqueen - got my 20-pack!! oooh goodie. see what you mean about instructions, bloody hell! i've got pages of waffle and its all in english, worryingly

romilly · 16/03/2005 21:13

i always forget something i was gonna say ...

yellowbear - yipeee, does that mean we can be testing buddies?
