Wow! LGRB - fantastic news, congratulations! That has given me some hope again. I tested again yesterday (after saying i wouldn't - no willpower) and got another bfn. So actually resisted this morning. Been feeling sick a bit today and wondering if I can hold out testing til Sat or maybe risk another bfn tomorrow. Arrgh!

LargeGlassofRedBlood · 30/10/2008 20:42

Thanks squally, really can't believe it have

felt slightly sick today and olives I had for

lunch tasted strange,

I think I will always be an obsessive tester

Which tests are you using?

squally · 30/10/2008 20:46

I have used CB and CB digital, both supposed to be used from four days before AF, although too keen and used one on Mon (6 days before), one on Tues and one on Weds ... so quite proud of myself that i managed to hold off today. Af due sunday but not sure can wait that long..am symptom spotting like mad

LargeGlassofRedBlood · 30/10/2008 20:51

ah its so hard waiting, but still loads of hope if your not due yet.

I was due monday and only got positive today,

last time,

I was a week or so late before I got a positve.

Issy42 · 31/10/2008 00:16

Congratulations Large Glass of Red Blood that's fantastic news.

Good luck squally and the others still waiting.

Squally I am also due AF on Sunday. Determined I will not test early and risk a bfn! So let's try to be patient together!! I would prefer to wait until I was about 5 days late (if I get that far) as twice before (one ended in MC) I've had a really strong bfp by waiting that long. Lots of willpower required though...

spats · 31/10/2008 14:24

mamamimi and Largeglassofredwine congratulations. Sans, poor you, i know how you feel. Good luck to everyone tested this weekend. more bpf roll out. I still have until following weekend. Well i thought i did coz that would be my normal cycle but i have just got pos opk on cd19. the internet says you af is always 14 days after ovulation which is another week after i would have exoected af. I am always regular so can't understand that. Oh well just have to bd and keep fingers crossed. Gotta go and get ready for halloween party x

Belgrano · 31/10/2008 16:41

Congrats LGOR! Brilliant news. Enjoy telling your other half!!

liahgen · 31/10/2008 21:05

hey lgor. Well done you.

i'm out. day 1 today.

Are we moving to the August thread?

MamaMimi · 31/10/2008 22:27

Belgrano - I didn't really make giving birth a doddle, it just was. I was very lucky, had no labour pains AT ALL so didn't even think about pain relief. When the time came to start pushing she was out in half an hour.

When I told my sister about being pg this time she actually said to me "I wonder if it will also be like 'cough and out it pops'"!!!

RipMacWinkle · 01/11/2008 07:09

Morning all

I've updated the list. I have a feeling that a few people at the top might either have a bfp (hopeful?) or are out for July? I also took the liberty of taking some of us off the bottom of the list as I see an August thread has been started. Hope that's ok.

How are things with you Wishing??

Anyway, here's hoping that the November brings more bfps to those of us still hanging in there for July babies.

spats · 01/11/2008 14:25

i am bored of this ttc!!! i have no idea when af will arrive as i ovuloated late this cycle. Don't know whether i have a short lp which could be a problem or whether my body is just having a fit and making my usually regular 27/28 days cycle into a 32/33 one. If af does arrive i am hoping it doesn't come when i would have expected it as that does mean i have a short lp. i need it to be later than next weekend.oh the stress of it all x

Wishing · 01/11/2008 15:16

well i woke up today happier than i have all week and when i went to loo i hd a brownish discharge again when i wipe, no pain no cramps and doesnt feel like af but there is definatley some bleeding - i have been knicker checking like made since and it has now turned more red and blood like but only when i wipe?? its not actually getting into my knickers, its only when i wipe??

still no pains!?!?!?! OR CRAMPS??!?!?! Normally when i get af i get relly bad cramps an hour before and then full flow, no messing and it last 3 days - this is so wierd and i cant take much more - what is going on!! tears are the only thing thats actually flowing!!

i had a blood test yesterday so waiting for monday for results but think i will just lay off ttc for a whiole if this is af i cant really take much more of this!! its eating away at my life!!

RipMacWinkle · 01/11/2008 15:47

Keeping my fingers crossed for you wishing. Really hope you get some answers on Monday. It's so frustrating isn't it? I was 6 days late last month (usually clockwork-ish). It totally threw me.

HOpe this isn't af (I got this a lot at the start of my pg with DS)

Good luck

ellsbellzie · 01/11/2008 16:16

Hi everyone! Haven't been on here for as few weeks, trying to keep busy and not think to much about ttc! Congratulations to those who have had good news! My thoughts are with those who haven't been having been having such a good time lately, Fingers crossed for aal of us!!

Can anyone give me some advice about how testing your temperatures work?? I'd like to know a little more about them! Ive been using ovulation tests this month due to success first time in July, but this ended in an ectopic. I'm really hoping they work for me again this month, though I want to do my temps too as the tests have said I ovulated a lot earlier than I usually do, I'm hoping testing my temps will give me some answers??

spats · 01/11/2008 17:05

why is it you have a normal cycle and then you ttc and it all goes haywire

ellsbellzie · 01/11/2008 18:00

I know how you feel my cycle use to be spot on 28 days with my AF always being 4-5 days! When I started TTC in July my cycle went to 30-34 days, and this month my AF was 2 days! I'm sure our bodies know what were up too, and don't want to comply until their ready!!

Issy42 · 01/11/2008 18:10

Wishing - thinking of you, it must be such a confusing time. Fingers crossed. Are you temping? It might shed some light for you.

spats - with you on that one, but they say to expect AF around 14 days after Ov, so if you ov'd late you should get your AF the same number of days late.

ellsbellzie - temping is fairly straight forward. Suggest you check out www.fertilityfriend.com which will send you an e-mail every day to explain it fully or you can download a guide if you don't want to wait for the e-mails. I only have the basic membership but during the trial period you'll get the full features for a month. You need a basal body temperature thermometer and you take your temperature at the same time (ish) each day. During your period your temps may very quite a bit but then they will settle down. The day after you ovulate your temperature will rise (because of progesterone) and will stay high. If you're pregnant it stays high, but if you're not it drops ready to start the next cycle. The drop can be useful to let you know to expect AF same day or next day and can also mean you save on testing. To give you an example, in my case before I ov my temperatures are below 36.1 and I even sometimes get a dip the day before ov to around 35.5. After ov they rise to at least 36.2 and then keep rising until around 36.45 until period due when they fall over 2/3 days back below 36.1.

Good luck everyone still waiting. See you on the August thread those who are out.

Issy42 · 01/11/2008 18:12

ellsbellzie - should have said the important thing is to take your temperature first thing in the morning as soon as you wake up and after at least 3 hours sleep.

ellsbellzie · 01/11/2008 18:59

Issy thanks alot, ill get myself a BBT thermometer,I will save loads on not buying tests! What is the reason for not being able to use a normal thermometer? Thanks for your advice!x

Issy42 · 01/11/2008 19:17

I'm afraid I don't know why you can't use a normal one, but good luck.

olivo · 01/11/2008 20:14

hello, just jumping in from the August thread. I use a normal digital thermometer, it seems to be pretty reliable (have only just started ttc but it worked when i was ttc dd). I also recommend fertilityfriend.com, it helps put the temps into perspective.
good luck.
