sammysam · 05/11/2008 10:13

Haven't been on for some time as our laptop had a virus-haven't long so can't catch up on all the news
Congratulations to all the BFPs and big hugs to all the ladies now on the August thread -fairly sure i'll be joining soon as really don't think i've ovulated this month (i've had ewcm and what I thought were pains but this is my first month of temping and still haven't had and signs on the chart-i'm starting to think that all these months I haven't been ovulating ) plus dp has been funny about ttc this month as he said he didn't want to know where we were in the cycle and the temping is really putting him off iyswim? So very little bd around the time where I would previously have thought i'd ov (pre blooming temping).

Anyway the long and short of it is I feel there is no chance for this month, maybe for many months if i'm not blooming ov'ing I was so happy last month as had my first 28 day cycle and think i ov'ed on day 14
I suppose I could be having a very long cycle but i'm not holding my breath

Good luck ladies x x x

LollysMum1 · 05/11/2008 12:31

Done another internet cheapy and it was bfn. Why don't I just get it into my head that I'm probably not pregnant and its not that the cheap tests are crap! Don't you just love being in limbo. Again.

squally · 05/11/2008 13:30

well i'm out! Just been running around town and back ache continuing and when got home af showed up. glad i didn't do yet another test this morning. will probably miss the August thread as DH and I would rather an oldest in the year than a youngest IYSWIM. Expect i'll pop on over to the September thread in a couple of weeks. Meanwhile going to enjoy lots of wine. Lots of luck and baby dust to everyone else though.

Belgrano · 05/11/2008 13:37

Sorry to all of you who have had to move onto August. Good luck to those still waiting on AF.
I am frantically symptom spotting now! AF due Monday and I have decided to hold firm and not test until Tuesday. Last month I spent £30 on tests (dunno where to get the internet cheapie things so seem to always end up dashing into the chemist like a woman possessed and spending £14 on a pack of two, usually about a week before AF is even due.... Doh.)
Fingers crossed and g'luck to all still waiting!

pinkie08 · 05/11/2008 13:37

Sorry Squally

I think i am out too for this month as started spotting abit when wiping which is early AF sign for me.

I know what you mean about the AUgust/Spetember issue. DD#1 is a September baby and her best friend is AUgust. In the end she repeated the year 1 and is now oldest in year.

There was also an august baby in our year 1 and 2 (shes gone now) but she was amazingly at the top of reading and maths What to do.

I cant miss the month completely as only got 2 more cycles of clomid so darednt miss it.

Let us know what you decide.

girlwithacurl · 05/11/2008 13:38

Hi, can I join? AF due on Sat... trying not to test. Been TTC for 8 months... nothing. every month I think this will be the one... then it isn't . trying not to stress, but don't know how not to! good luck everyone!

squally · 05/11/2008 13:46

pinkie - dd is also a september baby although due August, she was late. Looking at her little class mates who are Just 4 makes me think they are so little, mind you DD was ready for school last year and i said i'd never have another september baby cos they have to wait sooo long for school. so suppose it just depends on the child. difficult one. also if turns out to be a boy are they really ready for school at just turned 4. hmmmm.

squally · 05/11/2008 13:48

sorry Girlwithacurl, didn't mean to ignore you. All welcome, and lots of luck to you for saturday, fingers crossed this is the month for you

Belgrano · 05/11/2008 13:57

Is feeling a bit feverish a symptom? I have read that an elevated temp can mean you're pg so therefore you might feel a bit fevery, iyswim?? Or maybe I am just over-anxiously checking as usual.
And please can someone explain about luteal phase - ie. what is it? I can't find anything on the internet about it but have seen it on here a few times.

PS My view on Aug/Sept babies for what it's worth is that it all evens out in the end. I have several outrageously clever friends who were August babies and are now things like barristers and docs, if that helps at all. And just to put my money where my mouth is, I'll be moving onto the Aug thread shortly I expect!

girlwithacurl · 05/11/2008 14:00

re. August/sept babies. They keep talking abut changing the school year to run Jan-Dec... so it might not matter anyway. Who knows!

Belgrano · 05/11/2008 14:04

why doesn't it do that anyway? Sep-Jul is quite silly really now that I think about it! They could move all the kids up a year in Jan, avoid the long summer where you forget everything you learnt in the previous class and have the summer hols in between two terms of the same class.
Perhaps I should be minister for education

pinkie08 · 05/11/2008 14:31

Belgrano

Hi just about luteal phase. This is the section of your cycle after ovulation upto the day AF arrives fully.

Anything from 11 to 14 is accepted as normal(only know this as when they were calculating if i had short LP doc said so).

I was having surges of bleeding for upto a week until AF would arrive therefore they suggested i had short LP and started doing tests.

Hope thats helps

smallone · 05/11/2008 15:28

Sorry you're out squally, fingers crossed for you pinkie!

I know what you mean about having an unwanted month, DD is a jan baby so I don't really want a dec or jan baby, so I'll have to take a couple of months off if we haven't managed it before then. My b'day is Aug 19th and my mum said she cried everyday I went to school coz I was so tiny! I hasn't put me off tho.

Hope no-one minds I've put a break in the list, the top half is recent MC's so they could be taking a little longer and some people we haven't seen for a while so not sure if its up to date. Appologies if you've been here and I've not noticed you!

Welcome GirlwithCurl, you didn't say what day you were on, but feel free to slot yourself in wherever you fit!

spats · 05/11/2008 15:35

can you get pg symptoms 4dpo? is it possible?

Belgrano · 05/11/2008 15:38

In my world definitely possible spats!
I also have a theory that if you've been pg before you might notice earlier, ie symptoms kick in earlier.....all conjecture and probably rubbish though. Sorry not to be more help!

spats · 05/11/2008 15:39

ah but is your world medically sound??!!!

smallone · 05/11/2008 15:43

A friend of mine SWEARS she knew she was pg the morning after conception!

girlwithacurl · 05/11/2008 15:45

Belgrano · 05/11/2008 15:59
