congratulations Knax!! xxx

smallone · 06/11/2008 08:50

Congratulations knax, well done for managing to pee on a stick at 4am! That is definitely commitment to testing

Day 22 for me, trying to work out now when I should test, think it should be next thurs as that is CD29, and I've only had one cycle in the last 6 months go to CD30. And it'll be more than 14 days since last BD.

Big GOOD LUCK and baby dust to all those in the testing zone, any news lollysmum stokey pinkie icantbelieveitsnotbitter*?

lillypie · 06/11/2008 09:25

Belgrano this might help.

LollysMum1 · 06/11/2008 13:51

I'm still in (limbo that is!). PIAP (have I just invented an acronym) at 5 am as I wanted to go back to sleep and did the test when I woke up. Another cheap one, the faintest of faintest of faintest lines and I could well be imagining it. And it was a cheapy test - it makes me think - how could they sell 10 of these for 91p! Proud that I didn't use the CB though. So still don't know and waiting.....

LollysMum1 · 06/11/2008 13:51

ps congrats Knax!

girlwithacurl · 06/11/2008 14:36

think i have worked it out, it was CD that I was having trouble with. Still no sign of AF, but I am not feeling hopful!

lollysmum at PIAP

Hope you get an answer soon, are you normally bang on with your cycles or is it normal for you to be a few days late? Mine were never this irregular before ttc!

ellsbellzie · 06/11/2008 17:21

HI everyone, just thought id check in haven't been on here or a few days! Congratulations to those who've had BFPs that gives us all some hope!! I'm really confused this month as been using my ovulation sticks which originally I swore by, as from recent success first time using, but all they've done is totally confuse me. I got a positive surge on day 9 but since then they've all look pretty similar- 2 lines near enough the same! Does anyone happen to know if I was to of conceived when I first tried 10 days ago would this give false readings?? Anyone who had any experience of this, some advice would be greatly appreciated!

Issy42 · 07/11/2008 01:42

Congrats Knax! and any other BFP's I've missed since I joined the August thread.

ellsbellzie - two lines near enough the same is as positive as some people get, but as far I'm aware, if your surge started on day 9 that's the key one and should have ov'd that day or the next. I'm a big fan of temping as one you get that rise you know you've ov'd.

I ov'd early this month so had IUI on Wednesday, so if worked then would be due on 29th July, so will hedge my bets and stay on August but keep an eye on July too.

Good luck everyone.

Morning all, anyone poas today? Come on, I need to know someone else is doing it - sort of a pee by proxy! Right boob aching last night, seems to have stopped now.

I did this morning... BFN... I think its a dirty trick that the signs for PG and AF are fairly similar, just gets my hopes up. Thinking of going to the Dr's. i know they will just say I should give it more time, but I feel so frustrated!

Hi girlwithcurl and smallone

I didnt bother poas this month as AF got me have changed my cd number, is that right??

Sorry for your bfn girlwithcurl but if AF not here yet it could just be early.

smallone · 07/11/2008 16:49

Hi pinkie sorry af got you, at least you didn't waste any money on tests this month eh?

Good luck girlwithacurl , fingers crossed you're still in!

I've been out with some of my other mummy friends today and 2 more of them are pregnant again, thats 4 out of 6 of us, not sure if this is a good omen or just depressing

pinkie08 · 07/11/2008 16:56

Hi smallone

Thanks but wasnt too upset as had spotting afew days earlier so had that bit over with.

Back to the Deanna Plan for us and acupuncture and on clomid so you would think had all bases crossed (but not legs hee hee)

I think its a good omen just keep at it and you'll be joining them soon.

LollysMum1 · 07/11/2008 17:29

Hi everyone, got a bfn on a first response this morning. Not even a hint of a line so seems pretty definite. But no sign of AF and a few symptoms like achy boobs so it is so confusing and frustrating. My only hope is that I'm one of the few who don't get a bfp for a while... Itching to use my CB digital but just don't want to see those dreaded words! And I don't think they're the most sensitive of tests are they anyway so not a lot of help to me!

Belgrano · 07/11/2008 22:16

what are the most sensitive tests then? Anyone had any success with the 'tells you 6 days early' type ones or are they justa load of claptrap?
Good luck all.

Belgrano · 07/11/2008 22:33

PS knax congratulations! Great to see more BFPs comnig in and I am impressed with poas at 4 am.
And Lillypie thanks for your link to that page. NOW I get it about the luteal phase. Its very technical isn't it? DD was a honeymoon surprise and I had no idea it could be like this!

smallone · 08/11/2008 08:59

Morning everyone, hang in there lollysmum, I hope you get your answer soon. I know what you mean about not wanting to test for fear of a definitive no.

I'm expecting AF anytime between mon and fri next week, feeling cramps today and woke up with a lovely spot on my lip and boob not aching anymore.

Am reassuring myself that even if I was PG I wouldn't be able to get excited about it till I get my test results next week, coz if I have got anything nasty being pregnant would only complicate things. Best I wait till next month. . . . I'm wondering who I'm trying to convince while I'm typing this!

Belgrano · 09/11/2008 08:19

Morning everyone

AF due Monday. Have had various symptoms that could be imaginary or AF - slightly sore boobs, bit bloated, crazy vivid dreams, weird digestion etc

Been forcing myself not to test early (ie. before Monday morning), but woke up in the night last night all nervous and shaky and with my heart-thumping, desperate to do the one test I have got.

I lay there for ages trying to decide (it was 3 am!) if it would make me feel better or worse to get a BFN and in the end got up and poas.

And got a BFP!

Am in shock, haven't had much sleep, and am so excited and happy.

Well I never!

Belgrano · 09/11/2008 08:36

Hi
I've update the list but it's very possible I have done it wrong cos I've never done this before. If I've messed you up I'm really sorry!
In hyperactive shocked state still about my BFP. Going to tidy up DD's big messy cupboards now....(8.30 am on a Sunday

Congratulations Belgrano and Knax!!

This was a lucky thread (and it's not over yet!) - just hope the August one is as lucky.

shoptilidrop · 09/11/2008 09:17

congrats to belgrano and knax! wishing you a healthy and happy 9 months.
Sorry to those that havent been so lucky and hoping next month is the month for you. Im 5dpo and trying so hard not to symptom spot, its silly as there really would be no symptoms at this stage. The 2ww is sooo long though isnt it. Im trying to make myself think that it really doesnt matter and that im just pleased ive oved ( seeing as i havent for 14 months) And that ive just got a job offer and it would be bad to start when im just pg and maybe better to wait a month or two..... but still its hard not to keep thinking of it.

spats · 09/11/2008 09:26

congrats to all those with a bfp . I am slowley creeping to the top of the chart thank goodness. I had a late ovulation so not sure when AF due, but if i wait 14 daus after ovulation i guess on fri/sat. Not long to find out. Expect i will be joining the Aug thread then - bit pessimistic i know but thats how it makes you feel . Have good sun everyone, off to see rememberance parade as ds doing it for school in yr2. x
