Hi guys - we've had May and June, so may July be third thread lucky. I am a July baby myself. All welcome.

What a fantastic idea lillypie! Good luck-thats a fantastic thing to do! I wish I could come up with something else to focus on-any ideas? I'm in the very lucky and position of not needing to loose weight as somehow having dd has made me lighter than I was pre dd-i think i'm very strange
I'm waiting for my next training module to turn up in the post (it's taking a very long time) so I suppose that might do the trick......

I'm feeling ever so slightly better as I just entered my dates into an ov calculator and if i'd been lucky enough to concieve this month i'd have been due 28th JUNE!! I'm a fraud -shouldn't have been on here at all
So according to the calculator i've JUST got 2 more months (edd 29th July and 29th August) to keep dc2 within the 3 school years That has made me feel much more positive......fingers crossed!!!
Good luck to everyone x x x

yellowflowers · 15/10/2008 10:15

oooh - can you post the link to the ovulation calculator

OP posts:
sammysam · 15/10/2008 10:32

I'll try but i've never done it before!! Here goes....

Ovulation calculator

Obviously it is a rough guide but looking at the last couple of months I think it has been quite accurate for me........but in my state at the moment i am actually wandering if my ov symptoms are actually resulting in me ovulating......I blooming well hope so

sammysam · 15/10/2008 10:32

My god-it worked!!!

yellowflowers · 15/10/2008 10:49

Thanks!

For various work (and broodiness) reasons I really want baby by Dec 2009 but this is great- shows me I have a few more months of trying left to achieve that

Just had a play with the ovulation calculator and if I conceive this cycle I will still be in for a July baby!!

TeenyTinyTorya · 15/10/2008 12:23

Oooh, I couldn't resist, just did another test and there was a faint line, darker than yesterday but still faint. I don't understand this - just hoping I'm as lucky as you questions

Icantbelieveitsnotbitter · 15/10/2008 12:46

My partner and I have just decided to give up the contraceptive pill and 'see what happens'. I have a DS4.5

Anyone got any encouraging stories about how quickly they fell after coming off pill ?

Stopped taking pill on 10 October with resulting period. Now having fun in the bedroom and trying not to think about conceiving !!

smeraldina · 15/10/2008 13:00

Ooh Teenytinytorya that's sounding good. Everything crossed for you! Are you at the stage of actually thinking you're pregnant!? Surely a faint line is a line etc etc

TeenyTinyTorya · 15/10/2008 13:17

I think I am smelderina, I'm not having huge numbers of symptoms apart from being a bit nauseous and really tired. I'm going to wait till tomorrow morning and take one final test, and then get an appointment with the doctor if that one's positive. I didn't expect us to get pg on our first try though! And it feels like AF is going to start sometimes, though I seem to remember that happening with ds.

LittleCheese · 15/10/2008 20:46

Ill keep my fingers crossed for you TTT.
I bought a test today it was a fatal mistake though im dying to use one now, however i do not feel pregnant and the test says its only suitable 4 days before af is due which isnt till monday, so really no point wasting a test

LJ29 · 15/10/2008 20:52

LittleCheese, I know how hard it is to wait but hang on a little while longer. You will only be down in the dumps if its a BFN which might be false if you do it too early. I am due AF on Tuesday so lets try and keep ourselves distracted for a little while longer.

Stokey · 16/10/2008 09:22

Good Luck TTT & all others coming up

Just used the ovulation calculator - great tool sammysam. Am fertile from Sat to Thurs apparently & in Prague on a conference from Sun to Tues - rather annoying.

Will just have to make sure much BD'ing on either side!

And if it works, baby due just after my B'day apparently

always liked summer birthdays

TeenyTinyTorya · 16/10/2008 09:31

Got a definite BFP this morning - I'm only 4 weeks pg tomorrow, it seems scarily early to find out! Good luck to all those still waiting to find out.

lillypie · 16/10/2008 09:41

Ok I have taken myself off the top of the list and added myself to the bottom.

Hope this is right!

preseed here

funkybumps · 16/10/2008 14:24

thats great news teeny x

Well, I have been BD'ing like a woman possessed this month and after checking the ovulation calculator I have done the deed on all the correct days and more besides !!

But...have just booked a holiday to disneyland in Dec so if I do happen to catch ( fingers crossed ) I won't be able to do any of the rides as they all have the big notice up saying you can't go on them if your pregnant!! In a way, having the hol booked will make it easier for me when I'm disappointed AGAIN when AF turns up.

Due on 25th Oct and strangely have not done any symptom spotting this month so far . I'm determined not to test early cos I wasted a fortune last cycle !

beckyjamie1 · 16/10/2008 14:46

hi oct was my first month trying i dont understand the cycle stuff really coz have never paid much attention to AF and when she appears, until now but im sure i had my last AF at least 3-4 weeks ago but done a test yesterday and got a BFN so not sure whats going on at the minute as still not on, have been really skatty at work lately tho, tired, and weeing more just think im convincing myself of things that arent there , any advice will be very much appriciated as am new to all this and v confused lol x

mickeylou · 16/10/2008 14:54

congratulations TTT!

well i just did a test - far too early i know but got one of those early predictor ones. what a waste of time - got a BFN - which i now dont really believe because i really do "feel" pregnant". was being good and waiting til monday to test but had a call today asking me to go to a second interview for a job i went for about 6 months ago. cant really say i cant go because i'm pregnant when i dont know i am! do i go to the interview or not. common sense says go and if they offer me job and i am pregnant tell them then. but really cant be bothered putting myself thru interview if i am pregnant so wont be able to take job anyway. aaagh!! slowly going mad here!!

beckyjamie1 · 16/10/2008 15:09

mickylou fingers crossed for both of us am really convinced im pregnant too but took a test yesterday and got a BFN, and am late. Go with your gut instict when considering the job, could you not work for a few months even if you are pregnant? do what feels best for you ive recently got a promotion in my job and am dreading telling my boss if i am pregnant coz he got me the job! hope everything goes the way you want

mickeylou · 16/10/2008 15:23

fingers crossed for you beckyjamie1. really hope you get your BFP - when are you going to test again or are you going to go to docs.

why do things have to be so complicated? the new job would be better money which we could really do with but its a complete change to what i do now - would really be the trainee again. also its taken them so long to offer second interview if i am pregnant baby will probably be here by time they let me know, i work my notice etc!!
know you have to be in a job 6 months to get stat maternity pay.

also was very sick with ds so not thinking it would be a great idea to be throwing up anywhere new!

i think i will put off ringing them back until monday!

beckyjamie1 · 16/10/2008 15:39

lol throwing up infront of new colleages isnt such a good thing, best to do the test monday and take it from there wish u all the luck in the world

smallone · 16/10/2008 16:30

Hi everyone, I'm back, congrats questions and TTT.

Well as you will see from the list, I'm out. Didn't even get to the top of the list! 25 days is the shortest cycle I've ever had. Should have known it wasn't going to happen. I bought HPT on internet so they would be here when I got home. AF beat me to it grrr!

On the upside, I can stay on this thread coz this cycle would end with a july baby too!

Good luck everyone
