SesHasapinkline · 16/09/2008 20:04

Hi BB! Sorry don't think we ever crossed paths on this thread but I have heard speak of you (of your greatness of course!)
There are a few people waiting to ttc until after Christmas on the thread so feel free to come back and join us!

Btw, new job really helps. I changed jobs about 2 months ago to one that is much more suited to me and I'm loving it and not stressing out so much.

Anyone else about this evening?
Sickness went by about 3pm. Sat through my meeting this morning (when I finally got there with minutes to spare!)concentrating on not retching in front of everyone! Still a bit off my food and the only things I feel like eating are really not v nutritious Just eaten a load of crap this evening.

tink - have you had any feedback on viewing? We've still not exchanged and getting v frustrated!

GruffaloSoldier · 16/09/2008 20:21

hi BB

i remember u!

nice to see u back here! good news about job and ttc! are you back for good?

GruffaloSoldier · 16/09/2008 20:24

sorry ses hi there to u!

i didnt refresh after catching up!!

good to hear you are feeling better.

my nausea is so much better than it was - I have to admit i am fretting a little. I am 9 weeks 2 days. used to be all day, now tends to be when im hungry, thats it!

SesHasapinkline · 16/09/2008 20:35

Hi Gruff! This ttc and pg stuff is just non stop worry isn't it??! I know a lot of people who've said that their nausea has tailed off by week 10 so I wouldn't worry if I were you.
If all's going well, I'm 6 weeks today and scan in 2 weeks. Do you have another scan booked?
Have you got a bump starting?

GruffaloSoldier · 16/09/2008 21:15

yeah i have a scan (12 wks) on 7th Oct. 3 weeks today ( not that im counting down or anything! )

i have a prob with bloatedness so I have huge bump after eating which makes me look about 6 months gone, but its not all the time thank goodness!im trying to keep it quiet but thats not helping. i have def got a little something there though. with this being my first im thinking it wont be appearing properly (to Glasks standards) for a while!

thanks for info re nausea. it is such a worry but just keep telling myself what will be will be.

I told my DH of my worries and he reminded me of how much I was gagging as I walked around Tescos last night!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 17/09/2008 07:44

Good morning

Tink weekend sounds great! Have fun

BB!!!!! Hello stranger! I will try and email you later for a catch up (am notoriously bad for not getting round to emailing and stuff though so don't hold it against me!) Job sounds great Are we to have the founder of the wagon back on it?

Ses, meetings and MS don't mix well hey? Hope it doesn't get much worse before it get's better.

Gruff agree with Ses, lots say it tails off at around 10 weeks. Also, I think we get used to it, so it doesn't seem as big a thing after a while, and I think we get better at knowing what will start us off and avoid like the plague the things we can.

I am on a moan I'm afraid, excuse me while I shout I AM HURTING Contractions were like being hit by a train every 10 mins last night, and have woken up with one hip so completely out of line with the other one I can barely walk, my fanjo feels like it is about to pack it's bags and sod off for two weeks to the canaries with out me because it seems to have a hand or a foot about to break free out of it, and just a plain old OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW FUCKITY OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

God that feels better....

SesHasapinkline · 17/09/2008 07:54

Morning NJ!
That sounds awful Poor you. When's your next MW appointment scheduled for? Might be worth a phonecall. Wish I could say something more useful but if a moan on here helps then keep at it!

Woke up feeling sick again this morning. I'm not really complaining though as I'd be worried if it suddenly stopped at this stage. Have brushed my teeth and done some retching and now had 3 mini cheddar biscuits. Don't feel like I'm going to puke this minute but don't feel great. Have still told no one except DH and BF that I'm pg and don't really want to until a successful scan but I'm really not operating at 100% and am worried people will either guess or think I'm being lazy!

Right, I must get up and go to work! Yet another day of hoping we'll exchange...

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 17/09/2008 08:05

Morning Ses Have you tried any of the old fashioned ways to stop the sickness? Ginger, eating before you get out of bed, sea sickness bands, etc. etc.?

Next MW appointment is on the 29th I think, it's not too far off from the last one because she was worried about the contractions and wants to keep an eye on me with me refusing the consultants... TBH there is nothing they can do if I went. She told me the labour ward is pretty much an open door to me, so if the contractions get scarily close together/strong then to go in, but there really isn't anything they can do. If the worst happened and it led to labour (very very VERY unlikely - well, no more likely than anyone else going into pre-term labour) I labour that quickly at full term, that it would all be over before we got to the hospital at 24/25 weeks anyway.

Can I have one more OWWWWWWWWW in advance please? Just a little one.... I have to move in a second and get DS1's lunch sorted.

SesHasapinkline · 17/09/2008 08:16

OWWWWWWWWWWWWWW away!

Did have the mini cheddars besde my bed this morning so had those early which may have helped a little. I had thought about the sea sickness bands but they'd be a little obvious at work so don't know whether they'd help if I wore them whilst asleep.... Ginger has neer been a fave of mine but I may get to the stage where I'll try anything!

Right really must go! Catch you later and hello to everyone else!

tinkhasanactivebean · 17/09/2008 08:37

morning

hi bb great to have you back

hi ses sorry for sickness

hi nat poor you sounds very painful you take care

i am off to drop dd @ nursery in a min then i am doing food shop

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 17/09/2008 09:03

Ses I think you can get ginger tablets, might be easier than forcing food/drink that you don't like.

Tink, you have the wrong idea about this nursery thing, whilst DD is being looked after you should be resting and relaxing and MNing not rushing around doing boring food shops!

moosma · 17/09/2008 10:59

Blimey you lot, this thread's old, what happened to filling one a week? You slackers!!

Just popping on to catch up while DD1's at preschool and DD2's eating biscuits Hello BB I'm waiting for January too so you're not alone! I haven't been on much for aaaaaaaaages so I'm out of the loop too.

What's new everybody? The last thing I heard Diege was hoping to be back on the wagon soon, what's happened since then?

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 17/09/2008 11:15

haha- my BUMP is a talking point!!! thanks Ses & GS- at least i can tell everyone when they see the bump though... was bursting inside to tell everyone!! haha!!

Ses- with sickness i drank a capful of ginger drink first thing and it would subside the sickness for a few hours, then after lunch it would tail off a bit (in the first couple of weeks- about 4-6 for me)

I feel awful if i come and moan about my sickness as i'm on meds for it!! but i'm still gagging a lot GS, its not too bad, some days i'm sick first thing and then just gag the rest of the day, but i feel almost normal, just dreading coming off the meds just in case its helping more than i imagine it is!!

And Hello Moosma!! not seen you on here in a while!! i'm no good with remembering what people have been up to since, sure someone will fill you in!!

And hello BB- you were around in the first few weeks that i started coming on here!! Glad to hear your well!!

calsworld · 17/09/2008 11:34

Hi Moos and BB, its beginning to feel a bit like a reunion! All we need is LG&T to pop in and Kay to sort out her net connection and we'll be complete! (Oh and half a dozen others, including Popcorn who's abandoned us completely it appears!)

Well, the wagon has been very successful in general terms, most of the original ttc'ers are now well and truly up the duff, with plenty of people hitching very short trips, whilst some of us appear to be hear for the duration! I'm currently waiting for my AF to appear after a mc (3? weeks ago at 11 weeks) and then will be ttc once more.

Kay and NJ are both having boys, and Tink is due a private scan soon to find out what she's cooking as the little acrobat hid at the 20 week scan - she's hoping for a boy too!

We've got quite a lot of 'newly' pregnant people floating about at the moment, with lots of morning sickness

The list is quite up to date at the moment and its been re-arranged slightly, to list the ttc'ers and waiting ttc at the top as the list of preggers people is so long now!

That's about as much as I can remember for now, I'm sure everyone else will do their bit to fill in too!!

tinkhasanactivebean · 17/09/2008 12:34

hi

i did rest and watch home and away o tape 2 nat.
it feels good to get jobs done while i am on my own

Dalrymps · 17/09/2008 14:07

Hi everyone,

NJ - Sorry you're in pain, must be terrible. Hope it eases soon.

Ses - Sorry you're feeling sick but as the others have said, it's a good sign. Last time, my ms went away at 8 weeks, was bliss

Glask - Wow, what a bump! I had a very small bump when I was pg so yours really does seem big to me!

I think i'm going to have to start my xmas shopping soon. Not because I want to but to spread the cost and get it out of the way so i'm not rushing around at the last minute with ds to look after!

Off to look on the net for ideas!

I've been reading up on my antidepressants, it seems it is recommended to be on them for 4-6 months so i'm hoping i'll be ok after 4 and my ttcing won't be too delayed.

Hi to everyone i've missed, back later x

calsworld · 17/09/2008 17:35

Dal, I was on AD's before I had DS - I took them right through ttc (all one month of it ) and all through pregnancy and beyond too. I had to change AD's once I got pregnant (f*&^ up by the docs as they had said the ones I was taken were OK during pg but then changed their minds but we're here and all OK! I think I posted earlier on the thread that having DS was the best cure - I'd been on AD's for several years prior and have been successfully off them for about a year now. If you don't want to delay ttc (or rather than ttc, just want to have random acts of unprotected GOF's! ) then you could speak to your doc about getting one that's suitable for use during pg perhaps?

I'm clearly not saying you should, just don't want you to feel you have no options. There are also some good threads about AD's / Depression etc on the health board if you haven't already looked. Its a shame its not more widely understood as its so common and so many people would benefit from understanding it better. Hope you feel better soon!

I'm at home AGAIN, not me this time, DS. He slept for three hours at nursery today and they were getting a bit wroried so phoned me and I took him to the drop in centre where he saw a lovely male nurse, who had a 'not so lovely' moment when he went and got a lady and between them pinned DS down and shoved a lollipop stick in his mouth to look at his tonsills . He said it was a viral infection so all OK.

Back to nursery tomorrow and back to work for me!

Dalrymps · 17/09/2008 18:24

Cal - thanks, yeah I have been reading the threads on here and have seen there are alternatives. I think i'll see how this one goes and hopefully will be off them in 4 months. If not i'll talk to the doc then about changing. I guess I just want to make sure i'm mentally strong enough to deal with the next one before ttcing iyswim

Sorry ds is still not feeling well. The doc did the same with my ds when he had his viral infection and made him vomit a little, not nice! Hope he feels better soon x

tinkhasanactivebean · 17/09/2008 18:34

cal - glad that you have found out what is wrong with ds hope he gets better bless him

dal- i was on anti depressants name of them has completly gone was told to stop then if trying managed to come off them ok before i got pregnant

GruffaloSoldier · 17/09/2008 19:36

Good evening!

I have just scoffed my DH's homemade fajitas and they were delicious! I have been gagging all day so so much for disappearing nausea maybe I need to chill out a bit!
Luckily a nice meal is a good cure!

Sorry to hear you are suffering NJ, must be very worrying for you to. I hope it gets better soon

Hi Moosma - nice to see you back - hows things?

Cals- sorry for your DS hope he gets better soon.

I saw my friends two day old baby boy today -so cute! And made me sooooooooooo broody

So Glask - im assuming your pregnancy is pretty public due to the size of your bump? I was just wondering as I seem to be telling more and more people each week and just can't help myself

moosma · 17/09/2008 21:47

Cal, I'm so sorry to hear about your mc, I hope you get some better luck soon, you too Diege!

Lots of sympathy to the pukers and gaggers too, you poor things! (although I can't help feel just a little bit as you do at least have a good reason for it!)

Any news on GJ's DP situation? The last I heard she was hoping he would give her a definite date for TTC?

All's well with us here, the planning application for the barn went in last week so hopefully it will sail through with no problems (ha!). I'm still not on the pill and still GOFing irresponsbily but I don't seem to be ovulating though. I have a chart here but I still don't really know what's going on!
