tinkhasanactivebean · 15/09/2008 14:52

hi emma great new name
ye for doppler you will love it
i remember how tired i was in the 1st months 2 and i felt constantly nauseous wasnt eating too well

tinkhasanactivebean · 15/09/2008 15:00

emmahasaBFP · 15/09/2008 15:42

tink good news about viewing hope all goes well! [emma shows tink she has all fingers and toes crossed for tomoro morning)

dont think i will hear much on doppler to start with but think its a good idea for rest if family. MIL would love to hear something like that as "when i was was pregnant we never had anything like that!"

but say cane sometime hear from 8 weeks so we'll have to see.

cant believe how tired and nauseous i feel now just tried to have a drink of juice and made me heave! so think will have to stay thristy for a little while longer but it will all be worth it in the end!

cant wait to hear from MWife and for my first scan i dint know if they'll do an early scan this time cos of my prev MC they did with other 2DC but will have to see.

tinkhasanactivebean · 15/09/2008 17:01

i had one @ 9 weeks as i had long cycles they were going by lmp i knew when i had ovulated. then had one @ 12 weeks then 20 weeks. having a private scan sat 4th of oct when i will be 25 weeks desperate to find out gender
i am 22.5 weeks @ present

emmahasaBFP · 15/09/2008 20:28

im just watching tonights eastenders after recording on sky plus.

speak later

Diege · 15/09/2008 22:07

Evening! Off to Cardiff for work for a few days tomorrow, but wanted to pop in and say hello . Haven't had a chance to catch up, but did read your post EM about dates confusion. Apologies if you know this already and I've misunderstood your post, but the CBD conception timer dates from conception, and not LMP - ie, you will always be 2 weeks behind GPs/midwifes' dating with the CBD.
Right, best get bags packed for land of Torchwood!

calsworld · 15/09/2008 22:28

Evening all, been a pants day back at work today, just glad its over with IYSWIM.

DS is still quite poorly but now its more of a cough / cold so not quite so worried. Sent him off to nursery and he ate breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea with them so a bit happier now that he's eaten something.

He's really struggling at night, waking loads (read: every 20 minutes or so) and so we've had him in bed with us, which means that he gets a much better night but leaves DH and I absolutely crackered.

Managed to squeeze a gof in last night, first one for quite a while, DH was uncomfortable not using contraception as he thinks we should wait until after first AF as recommended by doctor, but we only had some out of date condoms . Chances of conceiving at this stage are very, very slim so if they fail we should still be alright - and if we do conceive I guess we'd be happy anyway (so why exactly did we use one, DH ). I guess its about both of us being ready though, not just either one of us and if Dh wants to wait then that's fine by me.

Right, best scoot to my ever so comfy, slightly princess-esque bed (is 12 inch mattress instead of 5!) to try and get some sleep with my poorly DS.

DH is in a helluva grump this evening so guessing that 'practising' is out of the window for now...

Any other ttc'ers actually about apart from me and Diege? HBJB? Wilsonmummy? Dal? LBOT? MAF?

SesHasapinkline · 15/09/2008 23:01

Hi! A late post from me just before I go off to bed.

Cal - IKWYM about back at work. As you say, it's done now but be kind to yourself and take it a day at a time. Am v of your wonderful mattress and hope DS isn't so poorly that you don't get a good night's sleep.

Interested on all the talk about dopplers on here today. I hadn't really thought about getting one as I think I'm in the frame of mind where I'd want to use it to check everything's ok instead of using it for me and DH to hear baby. I am tempted though...

Diege - enjoy Torchwood land! If you see Captain Jack hands off as he's mine!!

I have a new symptom today... I've had sore boobs for the last 3 weeks but today I've noticed the area around the nipples is really sore and swollen and red like little raised swollen spots. I think this is normal??!

Hope to catch up again tomorrow evening

SesHasapinkline · 16/09/2008 08:21

Bleurgh!!

Have woken up feeling really sick, have been sick and have struggled to get in the car to go to work. Am now stuck on M25 as I type this on my phone - absolutely stationery! Wish I'd stayed in bed but have a meeting with my boss and his boss!

Rant over!

Tink - hope viewing goes well. We should finally exchange today...

Hope everyone else ok this morning!

tinkhasanactivebean · 16/09/2008 08:42

morning

viewing is @ 11:30am while we are out @ swimming.
going into town this morning and to next to pick up dds winter clothes that i ordered swimming is @ 11:30pm-12pm then we go to friends plus mums @ 2pm

GYo · 16/09/2008 09:35

Hi Ses and Tink

Ses- sorry you are feeling rough. the M25 is no place to be.... can you turn around go home and tell them the road was blocked

Re nipple symptom thats normal from my perspective. My boobs stopped hurting all over now its just that bit that hurts and is much more raised than before... All good signs

Tink- good luck for the viewing.!

Heebeejeebee · 16/09/2008 10:10

Morning all

Cal - am definitely about (took first clomid this morning)! The first day back was def the worst hurdle and it got a little bit easier after that. Re your mattress - we got new beds when we moved house with big mattresses - I have, to date (in a year) fallen out of bed 3 times. DH finds it hilarious.

Ses - everything crossed you exchange ok and hope you're viewing goes well, Tink!

calsworld · 16/09/2008 10:23

Morning HBJB, that's exciting re Clomid - why first one today? Do you start at beginning or end of AF or just start when you can or what? I know nothing about it, as you can probably tell, just that a lot of women have had success with it

So far, only DS has 'fallen' off, and this was only because he turned round to slide off as normal and wasn't expecting his feet not to hit the floor, so landed on his bottom instead. He was fine though! Its quite funny though as he had just grown tall enough to climb onto it, now its just about his head height again! Poor DS.

Unfortunately he's still quite poorly, he seems to have a sore throat (hence the not eating) and his cough is waking him about every 20 minutes - at least that's what it feels like . He's in bed with us still and we are both getting kicked like mad, but it would be a far worse night if we were up and down trying to settle him all the time, and we don't really mind.

I've bought something on ebay! I haven't done that before! I bought some 'mega blocks' for DS and hope that everything goes OK...as in we actually get them . Only thing is, I'm not actually sure what I'm doing... I won the bid, I've paid via paypal and that's confirmed in the 'my ebay' bit, now, do I have to contact the seller or should they contact me or what? I assume I have to tell them where to send it to? HELP!

Heebeejeebee · 16/09/2008 10:54

Hi there

I take it from day 2 of my cycle to day 6, then I get an ultrasound scan on day 11 to check if I'm about to ov (I told the consultant I ov on day 16/17 in a 25/26 day cycle but she said that's not possible - I guess we're about to find out!) and then I have a day 21 progesterone test. Am feeling v positive though, so fingers crossed!

Not good re DS being poorly - there's people off work with sore throats/colds so I guess the first winter bug has arrived. Its def a better plan to have him in with you - at least you can doze between kicks rather than trudging down the hall every 5 mins!!

Do you have you address in your 'My Ebay' bit? They should send it there. You can always contact the seller to confirm?

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 16/09/2008 10:58

cal- if your registered with ebay and paypal both should hold your address for the buyer to send the item to. if you want to send her a message then use the 'contact seller' option.

just about to add a pic of bump at 9wks- i've grown even more in a week!!!! i'm gonna be humongous before i'm even halfway!!!

calsworld · 16/09/2008 11:14

Thanks guys re info on ebay - guess I just have to sit and wait for it to arrive now then!

have now put a bid in on some INTG toys and books too !

GLASKHAM!!!! I know they all even out throughout the pg but BLIMEY that's quite some bump!!

Ses, sorry you're poorly today, at least its a positive sign that all is well...guess that's not much consolation?

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 16/09/2008 11:17

thanks cal- i'm trying to take the comments with good grace while i can be proud and happy its just a little bump now... seeing as i know in 20wks i'll be sick of hearing i look ready to pop!! haha!!

glad your getting into ebay- i love it... i'm considering buying a mamas and papas cot off there for the bump... its only down the road, and has been re-listed twice because the winning bidder let her down... i think its a sign!! haha!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 16/09/2008 11:36

Morning

Ses, won't say sorry you're feeling badly, because it is deffo a good sign, and it is deffo worth it!

Cal, I hope DS starts on the road to recovery soon, it is so shitty for them, at least when we get a cold we know it will go eventualy they have no idea.

Glask, with DS2 I was like you (well your bump!) and it just kept getting bigger and bigger, this time I started off like it again, but have barely grown since 12/13 weeks, to the point where I think I am probably on the small side now. I am feeling very full in my tummy now though so I guess the only way to go is out now!

Have been into town, got a load of small stocking filler type stuff for the boys, I am nearly there now, have got to sit and sort it all out, decide what of DS2's stuff is for his bday and what's for his xmas pressies, and then it is just sorting out the guinea pigs and hutch thingymebob... how the hell am I going to hide that/them????

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 16/09/2008 11:53

...Speaking of hiding the pressies, the order from Toys R Us has just come (the bargain Thomas ride on track thingy, and some other things) the other things are in a big box, but I can take them up stairs and hide them easily enough, but I can barely even lift the Thomas thing, where the hell am I going to put it?

Do you think it will be OK in the garage till the kids are in bed and DH can take it up stairs for me? Garage is damp and dirty, but it's in a box with black wrapping around it, it will be OK till tonight won't it?

Am panicking slightly here, can you tell?! LOL

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 16/09/2008 12:00

T'is OK, don't panick (OK, I know you weren't but I was!!) t'is in the garage!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 16/09/2008 12:23

hi NJ- glad you got sorted!! was collecting DS from nursery, am now eating a cheese and tomato butty and 2 boiled eggs (i'm craving pickled eggs but haven't got any so plain old boiled will have to do for now!!)

i'm having a crisis with DC's xmas presents... i currently have their seesaw in the shed (which is now full to the brim) i have their playhouse in the dining room covered with a sheet (obviously flat-packed) and also have their play-gym in the hallway and dining room, hoping i can put the slide bit under the bed and the massive box of the metal bars etc for the frame can hide in the corner of the dining room!! good job they are both too young to fully understand what a big box is for!!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 16/09/2008 12:28

I had a ham salad roll

... and a galaxy ripple

... and a few pringles

... and a jammy doughtnut

... and, no nothing else

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 16/09/2008 12:30

...and a jammy doughnut

WTF is a doughtnut?

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 16/09/2008 12:38

haha- a doughtnut sounds fun!!

a bus has broken down outside my house so i'm being nosey!!
