emmsy well done for standing up for yourself lady you need your rest (whenever you can get it!!) with you being 35+ weeks preg and not physically able to carry on the way you are going!! dont your 'family' realise this?? HOW dont they realise?? its crazy!! at this point when i was preg with DD and with no other children to care for except DH i spent most of my time lying on th couch cos i was so tired!! i think you are amazing and if i can see that from all the way over here your family must be blind!!!
if you ever need some time out for a girly chat and a coffee i will make time and come and find you!!
xx ei xx

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 19/09/2008 07:09

Looks like I'm out this month. Huge temp drop today from 36.72 to 36.46. Can feel AF coming and BFN on a preg test. . I JUST DON'T GET IT. Grrrrrr. Am officially pissed off. . Back to the drawing board for me.

Table booked under the name of Georgie. 1pm. Dog and Fox. See you all then. xxxx

FruitynNutty · 19/09/2008 07:50

Morning girls

Well I woke bright and early to get ready to pick up my Friday mindee. Got a text from his Mum to say he's got a temp and bad cough so not coming in. Then I got a text from my friend (who we were going to go and see today to get a cuddle from her new baby) but she's been in hospital with the baby since 2am as the poor little mite has a chest infection She's really tiny and has a lazy larynx so she kept choking at every swallow of milk.
So I've only got my other friend's delicious 6 month old son today I've been having her baby 3 days a week for the past two weeks as her uncle was ill in hospital after having his cancerous bladder removed. He suffered a heart attack after the op and never got better. He died yesterday morning
Plus my Mum's Cousin died last week from lung cancer I didn't know her but my Mum says she babysat me once or twice and I think I met her at my Granny's funeral a few years ago.

It's all very sad, no one really close to me but still

Anyway,

Piper It's so exciting all this wedding planning, I seem to have come to a stand still. But then I've got a whole year until mine Have you got your date set now?

Ei Pood for you re opks and pre-seed!

Teehee I think I'm in love with your DP! He said "WE should get on with the housework"????? and he will do it while you're out? My DP says "You need to get on with the housework"!!! and would never dream of lifting a finger while I'm out

Emmsy I have no idea how you do it all I can't believe your family aren't begging you to take a break! Sounds to me like you're better off out of it all for the sake of you and your baby. What does DH think of it all?

Georgie Aw, well you nw have the hang of this temping malarky you can sign up to FF so we can have a nosy at your chart next cycle Still, you know what they say about a red lady singing!

Sparkly You ok?

Hi to everyone else!

FruitynNutty · 19/09/2008 07:52

I meant Ei Good for you - no idea why I pressed P it's no where near G

Moonlit · 19/09/2008 09:07

Hi Ladies!

Sorry to hijack your thread, but I just wanted to tell Fruity I AM PREGNANT!!!!!

I haven't seen you on the PCOS thread and I have been dying to tell you and DungunGirl

Hope you are well?

xxx

SparklyPseudonym · 19/09/2008 11:44

Hi ladies,
Fancied a name change....am trying not to be narky - have been giving DP a terrible time but am ok. Thanks for thinking of me.
Moonlit Congrats again!!
Fruity Sounds like you're having a tough week. Look after yourself and enjoy tomorrow. Will give you a call for a catch up soon. Me, D&L polished off the chocs . Yum!! Love the pic of C looking all grown up. Was that a 'smelly jelly' smile? I had a Focus '02 plate. Couldn't get 3 car seats in the back though (tried lots of times with DD, niece and nephew) but could only get 2. I think you can have the airbag switched off in the front at the dealer but don't remember being able to do it myself. Hope your car sells v soon, esp now that it smells nice .
HTGG Have you posted your chat? I'd love to have a peek. I really hope the temp drop isn't TEW waiting to show her ugly face. Lots of love to you. If AF does come, you'll have a lovely CB in Ei and it will be your turn soon. We are all going to have lovely bouncy babies very soon. PMA, PMA xx
Emmsy Your family are totally taking the p!ss and I'm glad you've finally stood up to them. They are always expecting so much of you and that makes me angry. It's time to start thinking about yourself and enjoying the last few weeks of your pregnancy. Look after yourself. You know where I am if you need to chat. Thank you for all your support - you've already got so much on your plate. xxx
Teehee Thank you for the lovely txts. Hope you're not feeling too ill today. Thinking of you. Oh, forgot to mention and that you had to pay so much to have your car fixed. That totally sucks.
Ei at AF but so that you've got the OPKs and pre-seed ready. You go girl!!
Piper Lovely to 'see' you here. Are the wedding plans coming together? Hope you're well.
Scully Hope things went ok at school. Put your feet up tonight and have a few glasses of red. Have a great weekend.
Mollie Am thinking of you lovely. How are you doing today? How did yday go? Thank you so much for your support. xxx
Mibbes Thanks for thinking of me. Have really, really missed you. Please post some pics of nursery when it's done. I'd love to have a noseeeee .
Kate How are you today? Was talking to my friend (who lost her little girl) about you and your precious Thomas - hope you don't mind. I wasn't suprised to hear that she had exactly the same thoughts and feelings as you... I encouraged her to join MN very soon and she said she had been lurking but wasn't up to posting yet. I really hope you get to 'meet' at some point. You always know how to say the right thing.

Hello to everyone I haven't mentioned. Still no sign of Yarnie?

Emmsy1 · 19/09/2008 14:46

Just had to come on and post, have just phoned Neil's wife to tell them I am not picking up Neil for the next few months! and then broke the news to mum and my sister that I wasn't going to pick him up for a good few months Mum got very angry but when I raised my voice back at her,and said that no one cared about me, she backed off, she even turned on the tears for a few minutes, I did not feel guilty, just relieved that I found the courage to do it. Just need to sort the 'other' children out now, as desperate to have my own life back! fruity DH isn't happy with the way things have been, he told me to 'stick to my guns' but he won't confront anyone, he is a very quite man with 'others' but loves to have a little moan at me,I suppose I wear the trousers, so to speaksometimes I feel that I am the man & woman in this relationship, which can be quite tiresome at times, wish he would take over the finances and the DIY, but at least he's not a big boozer and doesn't stop out until all hours like a lot of the men that I know, infact he only goes out about 3 times a year, although that's 3 X more than me!

Emmsy1 · 19/09/2008 14:54

Ei when the baby is born, I would love to meet up with you for a coffee, it's great that one of the most understanding people on here only lives across the Mersey from meXXX
sparkly god bless you for your lovely comments, when your going through such heartache at the momentXXX
mollie will let you know when labour starts, so you can get up here sharpish!

hope you girls who are meeting up have a lovely time together, I am very jealous, but also very happy that your virtual lives are going to become real ones, can't wait for my experience with some of you XXX

MollieMooma · 19/09/2008 15:15

Oh Emmsy my heart goes out to you chick, I so want to tell your family to back off I can't believe that they expect you to do all this at 35+ wks pg, it's just utterly ridiculous what their expectations are I am so proud of you standing up to your mum though and long may it continue. We can always replace your real family for you Oh and a small request from me, plse don't have LO next week whilst I'm away or I will sulk forever
EI Loving the positive attitude, bring on you're pre-seed and OPK's I actually ordered some OPK's last night so plan on getting down to some action after AF which should be due next week
Sparkly Hello missus, nice to hear your friend is lurking that's just one step away from posting, hope to "see" her soon. Glad to see you're still looking after yourself with regular chocolate intake
Georgie I'm frantically dancing the Stay Away TEW dance for you hun x
Kate How you doing, did you motivate yourself after yesterday?
Fruity Sorry to hear of all the bad news around you at the moment, hope you enjoyed the time with your friend's LO
TeeHee You're DH sounds as good as mine, I'm off to visit a friend tomorrow and he's offered to do the housework too, Fruity you will have to send your DP round to ours so we can train him for you
My counselling went really well yesterday, got very deep and meaningful but I feel better for it.
Well I expect a detailed update from all of you about the meet up before I go away on Sunday, so please make sure that you get some juicy gossip

cricri · 19/09/2008 18:27

Emmsy I'm so pleased you stood up for yourself - you need to put yourself and LO first at the moment. Maybe now your family will realise that you're not a pushover and will start taking responsibility for their own actions. I know you want to help out and don't like seeing children suffer, but it's not your problem at the end of the day - your Mum and sister are going to have to do without you. I hope you have a restful weekend anyway and we'll be thinking of you tomorrow when we meet-up. I'll be raising a virtual glass to you for bringing us all together but some of the others can indulge in the real thing We'll tell you all about it aftewards of course!
HTGG Hope you're OK and that AF is staying away for the time being.
Sparkly Good to see you - I saw your post on the other thread and what you describe is entirely normal Unfortunately DP will bear the brunt of it because he's the one closest to you but I hope you can work through it together. I also hope you're doing as well as can be expected.
Yarnie posted on the AN thread yesterday - said she'd been really busy sorting the house out but that everything was OK. Unfortunately she can't join us tomorrow which is a shame.
Fruity Sorry to hear about the losses around you
Hope everybody else is OK

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 19/09/2008 19:46

Hey guys. AF arrived this afternoon. Lovely cramps to accompany her. Have decided to give TTC a miss for a couple of months. We thru the book at it this month and still no joy. I can't put myself thru the roller coaster of emotions anymore. With the m/c's and now failing to get pg, it's just too much. I can't trust my instincts or my body anymore. This month I've had nausea, tiredness, fizzy boobs (plus drops of milk from nipple), aversion to coffee and increased sense of smell. And I'm not even pg for f*cks sake. It's crazy. And enough is enough for me. I didn't want to share symptoms, incase I wasn't pg and I'd look like a freak. But hy, guess what. It looks like I am a freak. I can't take the sense of failure anymore. So I'd love to stay on the thread, but if someone updates the list can they take me off. I might have to get used to the fact that 2 DD's is it for me. Or I might get a nice suprise in the future. Who knows. But I need some space from TTC for a couple of months at least.

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 19/09/2008 19:48

Oh, and for those of you that I'm meeting tomorrow, I've gone brunette . Just had enough of the blonde thing. So don't be looking for blonde me, cos i ain't there! Am brunette and lovin' it . xxxx

EisAHandbagaHolic · 19/09/2008 22:19

hi ladies
just a quick on before bed for me
georgie so sorry AF arrived for you im sorry you feel you need to take some time out from ttc aswell but if you feel that is what you need to do then it is the best decision for you
emmsy well done for standing your ground with your family how far away do you live from me? would it be a case of a ferry ride (cross the mersey...) it is pretty easy for me to get to birkenhead/ellesmere port way via bus/train/ferry if ever you fancy aa chat and a coffee
hi to everyone else
xx ei xx

Emmsy1 · 20/09/2008 07:21

Thanks girls, all have a lovely weekend
Ei It would take me approx 20 minutes drive from my house to either Birkenhead town/ferry/trains etc... probably just about the same amount of time to Seacombe ferry, so would definately love to meet you when baby arrives XX

MollieMooma · 20/09/2008 08:09

Georgie So sorry she has got you hun, there is no way you are a freak, just special I don't blame you for wanting to take a break after all that hopefullness those symptoms would have given. So long as you still stick around, don't you be going anywhere.

Enjoy today girls

SparklyPseudonym · 20/09/2008 14:20

Afternoon ladies,
Well I guess you're all doing lots of happy chatting right now. Am so sorry not to be there with you but I'm such a busy person, doing absolutely nothing!! . I will try my best to make it next time. I don't think I'm quite back to my normal? self yet but look forward to meeting you all eventually.

Emmsy I am so proud of you for finally standing up to your family . Enjoy the next few weeks and take it easy. xxxxxx
Mollie Just had 3 yummy choco biccies and a glass of full fat (flat) coke. I should really make myself a healthy lunch but crap appeals to me so much more - obviously isn't helping my manky skin though.
Cricri Am doing much better today. A bit up and down but getting there. Thanks for letting me know about yarnie. Will pop over to antenatal to say a quick hi to her when I get the chance.
HTGG %$%£&%(& at TEW getting you. Our bodies mess us around so much - I seemed to have more symptoms in the months before I was pregnant than when I actually was. I hope having a break from actively TTC gives you just what you want .

Hello to everyone else. I'm so glad the sun has come out .

EisAHandbagaHolic · 20/09/2008 16:42

hi ladies
hope you have all enjoyed your meet up
emmsy thats a date just without setting one

mollie hope you are feeling as light as a feather today after your counselling session
hi to anyone else lurking around todayt
xx ei xx

FruitynNutty · 20/09/2008 18:59

Back now

What lovely lovely ladies, this is the best group EVER! I wish we could've all been there.

cricri · 20/09/2008 20:47

I totally agree with Fruity I must admit I was a bit nervous at the prospect of meeting up with everybody but it was a lovely afternoon and the time just flew! We really must arrange a meet-up that everybody can make at some point as it would be lovely to see everybody in person. We really missed those of you who weren't there.
Hope everybody is OK - I'm off to bed soon because I'm worn out after my day out

SparklyPseudonym · 21/09/2008 13:00

Hi ladies,
Glad to hear the meet up went well and sorry again for not being there.
Am just cooking some lunch but will pop back in later to see what you're all up to.
xx

teeheelaydee · 21/09/2008 19:45

Oooh very quiet in here today. Just popped in to say that yesterday was lovely, those who weren't there were missed but we had a great time and I think could have jabbered all day!

Thanks girls it was a lovely afternoon.

mibbes · 21/09/2008 21:12

Hey ladies, glad you all had such a lovely time at the meet up - am very

Emmsy well done for standing up to your family - hope you are resting lots missy, not long now !

HTGG so sorry she got you and that you are feeling so low about it. A break is probably a good idea and who knows what might happen when you are least expecting it...

Have spent a lot of the weekend decorating the nursery, all done now ! carpets gets fitted either tomorrow or Tue and furniture arrives on Fri . Went hillwalking this morning and was working OT yesterday with decorating in between decorating, so am now knackered and about to flop on the sofa with some chocolate and watch the Ryder Cup

kate2179 · 21/09/2008 22:02

VERY quiet in here! Where is everyone?

Fruity is quite right, now that we've met I KNOW this is the best group on mn, before we just thought it was!
It was so lovely to meet Fruity, Teehee, Georgie and Cricri, now I'm looking forward to meeting the rest of you even more! Definitely think it was a good thing to do the facebook thing as an in between step, was good to have at least a vague idea who to look for!
Thank you ladies for a lovely afternoon, teehee I totally agree, could have stayed all day!

Bit of a stressful night last night in the end which was a shame, but I'll moan to you all about that later! Basically DH got horribly drunk and was an embarrassing arse... Was so angry/disappointed/embarrassed. But we are talking again now. He just wouldn't believe me, apparently I was just over-reacting I wish I was!

Anyway. The big news here today is that we're thinking about getting another dog! Baby substitute? Err yes! Not sure how Nemo will react though... We had a long chat about things this afternoon, and then went to see a litter of 6 week old labrador puppies this evening... SO CUTE! But we need to try to be sensible... What do you think ladies? Are we mad?!?!

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend xx

EisAHandbagaHolic · 22/09/2008 08:34

morning ladies
glad to hear everyone had a great time at the meet up on saturday
i went to see the women on the pics with my best friend last night it was so good!!

its my appointment day today!! and needless to say i am shitting myself nervous!! its at 11 so wish me luck!!![bites nails]

xx ei xx

FruitynNutty · 22/09/2008 08:39

Morning!

Kate Yes you are mad, I told you to get a kitten! What does Nemo think of all this? Lab pups are cute though. At my Nanny job we had 2 black labs. Mother and daughter. In fact I saw the mother give birth to her puppies, truly amazing!

Ei best of luck today, let us all know how it goes, don't take any shit!

We went shopping to Croydon yesterday. I'd never been before. I'd only ever got as far as Ikea. It was immense! I've never ever seen so many shops! Living in London that is saying something!

I bought a gorgeous Duffle coat for the winter for DS from Zara (only £35! - looks a lot more) and the most comfortable maternity trousers from Hennes

Just waiting for mindee to wake up from nap so we can go to playgroup. I'd better go and get ds dressed!
