Sparkly Look after yourself hun, make sure you have plenty of rest and you know where we are when you need us x x x
EI Mine is on the 30th, it will be interesting to see what we get offered and it it's different etc.
Scully & Mibbes Can I join you in the wilderness of the West Midlands please as I'm not going to the meet up either
Emmsy Sorry to hear MW isn't being very co-operative, sounds like you know more than she does with regards to what you want etc. Can't believe they are testing for MRSA before you go in, bizarre swab areas too!
Doesn't sound like you are taking it easy though missus, will you every stop!

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 16/09/2008 12:05

Sparkly Sending you hugs lovely lady. Rest up and we'll be here when you need us.

Mollie Scully Mibbes You will be with us in spirit if not body. And yep, Mollie I think an all group meet up sometime in future with all our babies (which of course we WILL have) would be something I'd look forward to.

Ei It's never over til the fat red lady sings! Not sure about symptoms, as totally convinced last month that I was and got a BFN. So this month am ignoring my body and just expecting a BFN again as not feeling remotely pg. But back to accupuncturist on 30th Sept to see whether he can help me.

Emmsy Are you mad woman? What on earth are you doing up at 2am. For goodness sake will you take it easy. MW sounds totally unhelpful. And weird that they are taking swabs for MRSA when you're not in hospital. Better safe then sorry though?

Fruity I LOVE the Confetti website. And there's a fab wedding dress shop on Arthur Road SW19 called, The Wedding Dress Shop, that sells some amazing gowns. Bit pricey, but worth going just to try them on to get some ideas. I got my gown from there, but never got to wear it as DH got me up the duff and had to have shotgun wedding. Grrrrrr.

Kate I'd love to join you in a glass of white wine. Might as well make the most of not being pg!

Know there's a few of you with consultant appts coming up. Really hope they go well. And that you get some answers. xxxxxxxxxxx

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 16/09/2008 19:34

Cooooooo-eeeeee. Where is everybody?

teeheelaydee · 16/09/2008 19:43

I'm here Georgie. Maybe everyone is leading much more exciting lives than us, whilst I am sitting here with DP trying to work out why our joint account is so bloody overdrawn !

Oh I lead a glamorous and exciting life, me!

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 16/09/2008 19:48

TeeHee Am far more glamourous than you. Am watching 'Stenders whilst typing on PC and keeping one eye on oven to see when steak and kideny pie ready. Check me out I am so A List daaarrrrlling!!!!!!

But at least Mutual Friends in on at 9pm on BBc1. Gotta love Alexander Armstrongs sexy smile.

MollieMooma · 16/09/2008 19:53

I'm here too girlies, I have just come in from tea out with a friend, very nice I have to say, but I was restrained- no pudding
It is quiet in here today x

teeheelaydee · 16/09/2008 19:58

I bet Posh and Becks are doing similar things, except for the Steak and Kidney because obviously she doesn't eat.

DP has now sodded off to watch football and I am considering actually getting into bed as it is a bit chilly. In fact I may even break out the knitting - honestly I will be 34 next week not 63.

Have my lovely day off tomorrow, I just cannot get used to having a day off every week. It is just fabulous.

Mollie I think a baby filled meet up would be great. You never know we might work out that the midlands is kind of in the middle (pardon the pun) for everyone and you will only have to pop down the road!

Sparkly You may be lurking so just wanted to say Hi and hope you are tucked up in bed being given lots and lots of TLC from DP & DD

Ei I was going to say something similar about ladies singing but baby brain prevented anything as witty as Georgie 'red lady' comment. You never know, when you least expect it........ (take it from someone who knows)

MollieMooma · 16/09/2008 20:07

TeeHee I think getting under the duvet is a fab idea, it's really cold here too and my fingers are getting a little chilly! I have also just taken up knitting, you are probably far more advanced than I, I'm just doing a simple Dr Who scarf, but I am changing colours and everything I think Posh would like to eat the Steak & Kidney pie, but just sucks the foil instead
Glad people like the idea of a baby meet up, I might just have to borrow a child so I don't feel left out I would love to meet all the LO's when they are born (and of course any existing ones!)

teeheelaydee · 16/09/2008 20:17

Mollie When I first started knitting I used to get soooo excited by every new thing I did and force DP to ooh and aah over my work. I still am a bit like that actually as am not that advanced. Changing colours still impresses me! Also as I am a first timer and have no idea what I am actually going to do with this baby if it does eventually get here in one piece you can probably borrow mine!!

teeheelaydee · 16/09/2008 20:18

lol at Becks eating an entire S & K pie while Posh sits glumly licking the foil!

MollieMooma · 16/09/2008 20:22

TeeHee I am sure you will be a natural when your LO arrives, but if not I will report you to social services and adopt him/her

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 16/09/2008 20:34

TeeHee Mollie Am giggling like a schoolgirl over the Posh and becks comments. Can just see Posh licking the foil off the steak and kidney pie!

Am off to snuggle up on couch with DH. He's had a stressful 2 days poor mite. In work at 4am on Mon and 5am today. He works for an investment bank so it's been chaos since Lehmann Brothers went tits up on Mon.

Sending love and hugs to all.

Catch y'all tommorrow.

And girls. Don't go changing. You are all perfect the way you are. .

MollieMooma · 17/09/2008 10:30

Morning girls, hope you are all well
Sparkly If you're lurking, hello hun hope you are taking it easy and one day at a time x
Fruity How are you doing?
EI Anymore symptoms? Still doing my TEW stay away dance for you
Piper & Scully Any news?

Mollie waves frantically at everyone else

kate2179 · 17/09/2008 10:44

Morning ladies!

Sparkly glad to hear you're home. Hope you're taking it VERY easy and getting lots of tlc. We're all here if/when you need us. Please don't expect too much of yourself, it's still very early days.{{{hugs}}}

Mollie Love the adoption idea, there are quite a few babies here, maybe we should work something out together...??

I know not everyone can come, but I'm SO looking forward to saturday. Know I've said that before, but it's true

Georgie I'm so sorry to hear your DH is having such a stressful time at work...Thank goodness he didn't work for Lehmanns. Large relaxing glass of chilled white wine for you on saturday!

Sorry I can't join in the knitting discussion, I learnt at school I think, but haven't attempted it for YEARS Although I'm pretty sure my mum did some VERY premature bootie-knitting for Thomas Am actually pretty sure she bought a pram too, goodness knows what she's done with it. We don't discuss it!

You ladies would not have believed the client I had yesterday . 39, drug addict for about 20 years, baby's due on New Year's Eve and she has consistently been taking crack and heroin throughout her pregnancy . She was inside at the beginning and they scanned her at 6,9,12 weeks - just think how much we have to go through to be allowed that... She kept asking me yesterday if it was ok if she went outside for a fag. It was all I could do not to scream at her No of course it's not ok you STUPID WOMAN!!! Turns out she has the same consultant as me in Winchester, which gave me quite a jolt, although she hasn't met him yet, because, guess what? All her test/scan results are absolutely fine . Made me feel totally inadequate - somehow she can make a healthy baby and I can't.... How can that ever be right???

On a more positive note, I had my first session of hypnotherapy last night... I'm pretty sure it was worthwhile. Horribly expensive though... Will fill you in later if you're interested.

to everyone I haven't mentioned

NarkySparkly · 17/09/2008 11:45

Thank you all for your support ladies and for thinking of me.
Am doing ok - about to go out and meet a friend.
Have slapped my hair up and even put on some make up...and got dressed. That's quite a big step for me.
Am losing weight though but am going to make a real effort to eat well.
Just had a laugh at Posh and the pie

Fruity You made me cry yday but in a good way. Thank you so much for the chocs xx
HTGG I love mutual friends too - made me giggle last night. Hope your DP is ok.

Cricri You are in my thoughts today. How are you feeling?

Don't think I've missed anyone but if I have I'm sorry!! xxxx

scully · 17/09/2008 12:17

Hiya ladies, just a quick hello No news here, in the middle of my 3day working week so no time for anything eventful or otherwise to happen Am going out for lunch tomorrow though, so looking forward to that.
Hope your dh's job is safe HTGG, I worked for Merrill's for 7yrs in the UK before moving back here, have been watching all news during the past week with interest.
How was venturing out into the world again Sparkly? Thx for the compliment for my dd's, they are gorgeous, just take turns winding me up most days, but that's their job
Typical isn't it Kate, with your client, just hope the baby is taken off her and grows up with a family who'll care for him/her
Good luck Ei, hate this week of waiting, however much you try not to think about it.
Hi to everyone else

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 17/09/2008 12:21

Just a quickie guys. DH just been on the phone to say that there's big rumours in the city that Halifax will go under and may be bought out by Lloyds. Just be careful if you have money in any Halifax accounts. Don't panic. But keep listening to the news.

mibbes · 17/09/2008 13:52

Hi ladies - been lurking as much as I can but busy bee atm. Have had the front room and hall decorated, waiting for carpets to arrive, we have to paint the nursery before they can be laid so must get on with that soon - nesting is here big time!

Sparkly am glad you are home and feeling a wee bit better, look after yourself though, as Kate says it is early days hun xx Am so glad some of the ladies have been able to bring you so much support during this terrible experience - I don't feel 'qualified' to comment as can't possible understand how you feel. Just as long as you know that you are in my thoughts a lot and sending you big virtual hugs xx

HTGG Yikes our joint account is with the halifax

Ei anything to report missus ? you need to have some of those premonition dreams soon to cheer us all up . Remember you had 2 about me not long before my BFP... you have a talent there !

to everyone else

MollieMooma · 17/09/2008 14:13

Georgie Thanks for the tip, hope your DH's job is secure, it's quite worrying what's happening to the country at the moment, I refuse to watch GMTV whilst getting ready for work anymore as it makes me want to slit my wrists! They are so depressing!
Scully Are you due to test soon hun?
Sparkly Hope you have a lovely lunch with your friend, lovely to "see" you back
Mibbes Sounds like you've been really busy hun, must be really exciting getting everything ready . . one day maybe
x x

teeheelaydee · 17/09/2008 14:54

Afternoon ladies.

Mibbes I was wondering where you had disappeared to, sounds like you have a lot going on at the mo. I was reading the list the other day and hadn't really got how along you were. The weeks seems to be flying by when I look at yours but crawling when I look at mine!

Mollie Would love to know exactly what your Keeping TEW Away dance looks like. Have visions already!!

Sparkly Darling girl it is lovely to 'see' you back. It all sounds horrendous so it is hardly surprising you are in a bit of a daze. I'm sure the emotions will come thick and fast at some stage and we are here when they do. I think seeing your friend will help and I bit of slap never did anyone any harm (that's slap not a slap!)

Kate How you didn't punch the girl I will never know. I'm sure she has a haertbreaking story but even so it makes me want to scream! Here we are not even drinking when on 2ww and once pg wrapping ourselves in cotton wool and she is putting all that crap in her body and everythink is fine. Mind you makes you realise we should never feel it is our fault or anything we may have done. Would love to hear more about the hypnotherapy.

HTGG Hope DP is having a less stressful day although it sounds like maybe not. I daren't switch the news on. I work for RBS so any bad banking news is always a downer (hopefully I won't be there much longer though!) My brother got made redundant on Monday from a drug company who can usually print money too.

Scully Do you think DD's have an official rota for their allocated wind up days. Anything special planned for your b/day?

Fruity Where are you? Perhaps you are still sitting in your car smelling the clean smell.

My car has gone to the garage today and they have yet to phone me to let me know the damage to my wallet, which I think is ominous!

MollieMooma · 17/09/2008 15:04

Kate Forgive me I missed you on my post I couldn't believe how similar our "clients" are! I bet you wanted to scream and shout and stamp on her head Life is very unfair, and that poor child growing up with a mother like that! I think we should definately hatch a plan to kidnap adopt a child from here, and you can keep us out of prison if we get caught with your many talents
Would love to hear about your hypnotherapy, very but looking forward to counselling tomorrow x
TeeHee Did you get much knitting done after? As for my Stay Away TEW Dance it involves lots of shaking and waving of arms and a few jazz hands

teeheelaydee · 17/09/2008 15:10

Mollie 3 measly rows then too tired! I am now throwing a few jazz hand type movements in honour of Ei and Georgie?

FruitynNutty · 17/09/2008 19:59

Evening all.
Thought I'd pop my head in

I've got nothing exciting to report I'm afraid - not even a row with DP to moan about . Just had beans and cheese on toast (it was lush) Ugly Betty tonight DP out.

Oh yeah, I forgot, it was DS's 1st day at proper nursery school today He looked so tiny compared to all the big boys and girls further up in the school (a first seeing as he's a tall boy) He looked so cute in his school jumper and book bag - I'll put a pic on my profile in a minute . He just waltsed (sp?) in without a second glance. I had to call him to say goodbye and give him a kiss Then when I picked him up he came out smiling with a book in his book bag all about Snow and Ice. It's lovely because he's got his little group of mates already there as they are slightly older so started in April.

I'm so excited about Saturday

mibbes · 17/09/2008 20:07

aah Fruity he is so sweet , like butter wouldn't melt !

FruitynNutty · 17/09/2008 20:13

Hahaha Mibbes if only!

Teehee I forgot to say. The car does really smell good. It was beginning to smell like mouldy arse and was full of crumbs and wrappers and god knows what else. Took it to our local car wash and for a tenner and it's like new again amazing what a bit of leather polish can do!
